Great sport to evacuate stress and relax your mind, plus complete body workout.. Did some sparring when it was still possible and hope to keep up on amateur and recreational level with the younger lads , without them have to hold back , learn and improve my technique, , when we can start again in the ring after corona times.
Brother, I am 17 I did boxing for 2 years and then i had to pause boxing for 2 years cus of covid and the fact that my coach got into some serious issues with his mental health (which 100% respect to him there is no harder challenge in this world than ur mind) and now I wanna start again. I ain't gonna ask if I can make it to the pro level because that literally up to me and god and how much work I put in. But at the end of the day if you work ethic is there than you can make it no matter your age, and there isn't an exeuse cus I have 3 A level to revise for plus 2 jobs so dont use that exeuse.
So basically, before 20 is ideal if you want to go pro, but you can join at any age below 35-40 to get into the pro ring. If you are doing it for fun and also as an exercise, then any age is fine as long as the doctor gives you the thumbs up

And that's it, that's my background in fighting, I know it's no where near impressive but that's my experience up until now. I always wanted be a boxer or a mixed martial artist but I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't start earlier. I genuinely am passionate, I got fire, and I know imp naturally strong, but I know that hard work beats gifted talent, and I don't know if I've missed the opportunity of me reaching my potential Seeing Khabib train from young, as well as Floyd, Mike Tyson, all these names of people who are amazing at what they do, is truly inspiring but I feel like I'm coming close to being 10 years late to making a start in training and competing. I can understand why they started young, our brains are at the prime of learning in our teenage years, so I feel like people like this will be a big threat to compete with Would it be a realistic goal to start and become someone who can compete at pro level? Because I'm seeing a lot of people say they started at 21, 22, 27 and when I see footage of them fight now, it doesn't look like they can compete with any of the pro fighters even though they have 5+ years of training. I'm the type of person who wants to reach their top potential when I do something because of the passion I have for it, but I want the harsh truth if that goal is even achievable More info about me 5' 8" height 67" reach 185 lbs

Absolutely not brother there is no age limit in the pros. Of course you want to make sure you are on that level but the amateurs also allow you to fight in tournament's until 40 years old in most places

I'm 34, I dreamed.. one day..I will be the world champion. I had an athletic life, world record too the oldest-ever professional boxer ever 👊 dream big ! See you up there.
I think keyword is politics. If you are older you better be a specimen of a human being or no one will take you seriously. Every weakness will be blamed on age and that will reflect in how people talk about you. As I scout these sports out it seems to come back to one fundamental idea. These sports are not arranged to see who are the best fighters, its about fighters people care to see. That's the business. How many eyeballs care about your fights.
@@markwill3515 I think the biggest factor is whether a person adapts their training successfully to their bodies potential. Some people like to take shortcuts or maybe they over train or they don't have the right diet. Etc. I'm actually surprised how many fighters I've met that have terrible diets or ideas about dieting. There's a lot of bro science out there.

I have -6.5 in both eyes but it doesn't affect my ability in the ring to fight, do I have a chance to become professional ..? Please answer honestly, even if the answer is not I will never stop trying and struggling for my dream
Great question brother some States/places require a certain vision testing before fights some do not. If you feel you can still function safely then it will be worth a try, you just have to check around when you're ready!
@@coachv3436 Thanks for the reply Coach , My eyes are normal when wearing contact lenses, but it is prohibited in the match, if removed I cannot see the face of my opponent but I can see his body shape, movement of punches, shoulders, hands, feet, whole body movement in whole direction also in referee's instructions, body gestures and placing and dodging punches precisely and the limitations of my eyes don't affect my skills in the ring. So what kind of vision test is done ..? 1. Like seeing the fine print within a few meters at the optician, if that fails you're done 2. or check sight function and performance in the ring to assess whether sight is eligible to be allowed to compete the second method I have a chance, so give your opinion please, any answer will be very welcome and appreciated 🙏

I am 26 years old and I want to start my boxing career. I grew up street fighting which I know is different but with the right training I believe I can do it regardless of my age because I have the energy of an 10 year old 🤣
Cheers for the post Coach, new Sub now.
I’ve been training on and off for years now, boxing and MT.
You name it and life has gotten in the way, now it’s Covid.
Too old? You’re right, I’ll never be the Headliner in Vegas or Lumpinee, but I will be competing in the Golden Gloves here in Toronto.
How old am I, turned 50 a couple of months ago.
You’re as old as you feel or as you act.
Eat clean, train hard and get your rest, say no to Thirsty Thursday lol ( never heard it called that before)
I know I’ll never be a champ and I’m ok with that Sir. I train for ME and to be a better human being YOU and I get to give some of those 20 somethings a bit of the Old Man What For. Lol
Keep up he great work Coach.
Hoping you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe during these crazy Covid times.
Peace,
Dave from Toronto
Could not have said it better myself brother 💯💯 God bless you and your family as well 🙏🏼 I appreciate your support and good luck on your journey!!

I'm 14 years old started boxing 3 months ago and I want to fight in the UFC, I'm not realy talented but I have a lot of ambition I hope everyone here will become what he wants to become
I'm 22 years old, I have a little background in karate, had 3 street fights, did beginners boxing course at my high school which wasn't great, it was very simple and capped off at being super simple. And that's it, that's my background in fighting, I know it's no where near impressive but that's my experience up until now. I always wanted be a boxer or a mixed martial artist but I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't start earlier. I genuinely am passionate, I got fire, and I know imp naturally strong, but I know that hard work beats gifted talent, and I don't know if I've missed the opportunity of me reaching my potential
Seeing Khabib train from young, as well as Floyd, Mike Tyson, all these names of people who are amazing at what they do, is truly inspiring but I feel like I'm coming close to being 10 years late to making a start in training and competing. I can understand why they started young, our brains are at the prime of learning in our teenage years, so I feel like people like this will be a big threat to compete with
Would it be a realistic goal to start and become someone who can compete at pro level?
Because I'm seeing a lot of people say they started at 21, 22, 27 and when I see footage of them fight now, it doesn't look like they can compete with any of the pro fighters even though they have 5+ years of training. I'm the type of person who wants to reach their top potential when I do something because of the passion I have for it, but I want the harsh truth if that goal is even achievable
More info about me

Same dude
We can make It
Am in any disadvantage for starting at 25,i wanna compete and win in amateurs, that would be enough for me? But i wanna be the best in it.
Im 32 and started last year during covid.
You are so well spoken man
RESPECT
Do you recommend starting with boxing or kickboxing first for a beginner who is getting into MMA for self-defense?
“As far as what you can do; that remains to be seen, records are made to be broken” 👍🏼
💯💯💯
Am 34 and started boxing 9 weeks ago and i feel great more energy more awake and i had my first charity boxing match and i did lose but i learned to be better i watched videos of me in the ring i learned i needed to move more and create more openings on my opponant
I’m 26 just started
Watched a few of your videos, read the descriptions but was wondering where your gym is based out of?
Orange County New York
@@coachv3436 No doubt you sounded like a NY guy but I didn’t want to assume. Appreciate all your motivation, knowledge and replying to your subscribers. Consistency is the key to life and this RUclips thing!
I'm joining at 37. Ready to get beat up, I've already said RIP ahead of time to my nose, Coach V.
Haha hopefully it won't ne that one sided, God bless brother enjoying the journey 💪🏼
I mean chuck liddell started at 19,Hopkins 19,adensya 19, randy 24, Joshua 18 and wilder 21
Great vid!!!
Love the conclusion!
Just keep yourself in decent shape. Hit the heavy bag and try to find a boxing Gym
The bulls hat is fitting, I’ve been thinking you look like Zach Lavine
Is 15 a good age to start I’m 15 and just started mma a month ago
Hey coach v Is it too late to get into boxing at 28 even though I havent worked out as much in years. I always wanted to learn martial arts as a kid but never got the opportunity. I just started getting into boxing recently and I want to so badly learn it and would like to compete in it professionally if I could get my body in shape. But even if I can't get in the pros I would like to have real fights. I plan too run 3 miles a day follow by situps, pushups, and squats. Also coach v should I buy boxing gloves and attire before or after I attend a boxing gym?
Never mind lol you answer my last question 😂🙌🏾
Is 18 too late I had prior brief experience in karate when I was 12
Thanks COACH V🤜 AWOO
No. You're never to late but you just gotta work your fkin ass off
I'm 25 and boxed when I was young. I always wanted to atleast be an amateur professional like in local casinos and such. Is it to late for me to try to do that ?
Absolutely not brother there is no age limit in the pros. Of course you want to make sure you are on that level but the amateurs also allow you to fight in tournament's until 40 years old in most places
@@coachv3436 u should not fraud people. I understand that u are a coach and u must eat and that this work make u eat but.... Tell people the truth. No one can be a champion unless thwy are very well trained and very well experienced. Do not make people illusions became dreams that can turn real. Nothing will turn real for them, unless they are very talented, very trained, and very experienced.
@@persona5hacked574 You are talking about different things. Nobody said anything about being champion, everyone knows that. However everyone can be a amateur and even pro if trained right even though the older you are the harder it will be. So you are kinda mixing it up.
I just turned 20 and also just started boxing, I want to know if it’s to late for me to go PRO in boxing
That is considered a late start but if you don’t take any breaks, and you have exceptional talent, you could make something happen!
I’m 18 I’ve been playing baseball for about 14 years but I’m coming up on my last year about to go to college I’ve been watching boxing for a while now and I’ve decided I want to get into it been working out for about 3 months how should I get started I want to make something out of it
Iam 38 and just starting (Maybe)
I’m 17 been grinding I will be middleweight champ when I am older
Did Adonis Stevenson start late as well?
Appreciate the vids coach
I am 28 and I want too become an professional boxer so can I and how much time it's take to become pro boxer and how much practice do I need daily plz tell me
I’m 17 and my training has been inconsistent in and out of the gym since I was 16. (Bad grades and parents not allowing me to go to the gym) and I’m going back in full time once I graduate but I’ll be 18 by then. Gonna try to start professional at 20. Is it too late for me to make it into the upper ranks (as long as I have work ethic)?
There’s professional boxers who started in their late 20s lmao you’re good
I’m 32 been boxing since I was 16, in and out of the gym in between time. Is 32 too late to just go for it and turn pro?
I started off and on at 25 and bout to get back to it at 31 I might be the one to set the bar give me a year y’all going to know my name
U forgot to mention Liston man was mad old
im gonna be 35 but im only going to do it for the workout nothing pro
man, you the man.
Short answer: There isn't an age too old to start anything. If you like something and you're passionate about it go for it
I just started im 17, i wanna make boxing my job, is that too old, i wanna be the best of the best💪🏻 lmk please
I'm 34, I dreamed.. one day..I will be the world champion. I had an athletic life, world record too the oldest-ever professional boxer ever 👊 dream big ! See you up there.
i have the basics down because i picked up boxing at 14 i gave up for a bit now i am back training at the age of 19 could i make it?
Absolutely just keep moving forward and don't take any backward steps you've got to be dedicated!!

Im 16 and i want to be a pro boxer as a job i want that as my future, am i too old to start?
Not at all, get to it!!
Meaning great genetics.
Or having knockout power
@@markwill3515 I think the biggest factor is whether a person adapts their training successfully to their bodies potential. Some people like to take shortcuts or maybe they over train or they don't have the right diet. Etc. I'm actually surprised how many fighters I've met that have terrible diets or ideas about dieting. There's a lot of bro science out there.
When do they start cutting for woman. ?? Please let me kno
I’m 20 and honestly always been a nervous guy , never got in a fight but wanna start just to build confidence.
Not too sure how I’d be when throwing a punch😂.Am I too old to start or anything
im 20 started at 19 and have 6 amateur fights. do it ! perfect time to start "late" is 17-21 in my opinion

@@HP-mk3yb how did it go?
Hello, I want to fight in the midst of my limitations and prove to everyone who laughs at me.
1. Like seeing the fine print within a few meters at the optician, if that fails you're done
2. or check sight function and performance in the ring to assess whether sight is eligible to be allowed to compete
the second method I have a chance, so give your opinion please, any answer will be very welcome and appreciated 🙏
