UPDATE: You can tame it without this trap if you are lucky with 4 gates, but its such a pain where things can go wrong, this is still the best way.
Because...You could bite a small wrong dino by mistake and it will throw you off, you have to wait for ages for the buff points to go down, then you could bite more points than 100 and it throw you off because you cannot judge how many point the dino will give you.

Could you by chance find a way to tame them efficiently on pve as we can't use unclaimed creatures to raise taming progress? (Edit: I have theory that the splus kill gun will work on pve maybe since you can't hurt unclaimed dinos but this doesn't help official players)
An official is not like that. Please try to taming it in official servers please

If you don't want to get ejected and restart the phase 1 you can just wait for the bar on the left side of the hotbar to decrease. It dismounts you when this reaches 100. If you wait the first 10 will drop slowly, but after that it goes down faster.
this finally answers my question, i had tamed a few of these fairly high lvl on official and not ever been kicked off, i just get it ridable and run around killing anything that wont agro and fight back. seems to work pretty well

Then you will have to use the original way: running around and killing everything around you until completed

You always make the easier traps :) Could you do a taming video for official PVE? You can't kill unclaimed dinos like that then,
Can you kill your dinos with your wyvern on pve? If yes, then use wyvern. If it doesn't work then fall damage if you can ride it, drowning and lava can work. Dead tamed tames most of the time are not despawning for very long

@@i_love_oily_black_men i think that won't work since the taming bar only goes up by killing dinos and not by harvesting them
Will this work in PVE? I thought that as soon as the taming process starts, the game assumes the Dino is yours and not wild making it impossible to kill tamed dinos claimed or unclaimed.
No can't do this in PVE. I lure it to a trap near where lot of dino spawns. Trap, get to let you ride. Break trap to go kill stuffs. Before 10 mind runs out, I put 4 dino gates to trap it again, get it friendly, ride to kill, rise and repeat til 70% tame, jump down and bat potion. Wallah...
The issue is sometime it glitches and won't eat. :) one of the hardest tame I done in pve

Sanguine elixir should prevent the need of the 2nd stage. You have to be really close to it and ON THE GROUND. I wouldn't wait till it kicks you off cause he'll kill you before you hit the ground.
Get him to 70, hop off and do the elixir while he's friendly.
feed 1 baby rex or spino for full friendship bar. During 2nd phase use a sanguine elixir for a quick 30%. Ride and munch til your stacks in bottom left are near 100. At 100 you’ll be kicked off. Higher health creatures give more taming, rinse and repeat. Most wilds give 0.2-0.3 per kill
Best way to tame a Carcha:
Step 1: Tame a giga instead

For pves people me and tribe mate tame ours 145 in 1x turn out to be 212 not bad only 7 levels less best way we'll mantis and ko every single bronto/diplos/stegos/ turtles in genesis 2 green zone by 70 90 spaw. =) yall welcome also there's orgy of dinos fighting there too

Misbah's doing ok, he doesn't have much time for himself as hes looking after his mother,, and sorting all the problems from the rest of his family so hes stressed most the time. She still goes to hospital every 2 weeks to have a chemo booster, and its still working so that good :)

Hi Steve, I know you probably won't read this, but would you please think about finding a way for those of us on PVE to tame it? There is no way to feed it our unclaimed dinosaurs, despite the fact that when riding it it is still wild technically. Really not sure what to do unless my 10x taming server allows for a lvl 240 (server max lvl) to do it in one run of killing wilds (haven't properly tested this yet). Cheers.

The best way for me was not using a trap at all. You really don’t need a trap…. Also 1 Magma Baby is enough to feed it to get it to friendly mode.
I am liking the carcar now we need to have a matching herbivore other than the titanosaur

Honestly this trap just doesn't work. Sure you can trap it but it won't just eat. It's rare to get it to eat and it out of pure luck. It's almost as if the metal dino doors prevent it from eating. I only get as far as sniffing.
Same problem. Don't think it's because of server settings. For me it looks like Karcha needs to do several steps towards the body. And the trap prevents it. May be it's the way developers fixed the trap for Karchas?
It would be great if Nooblets confirmed or denied if this trap is still working for him...

Gallimimus corpses tame the fastest for stage one. Also, you don't need a trap, just Ghillie as you wont be detected if you feed correctly. Just walk up carefully and drop the corpse when it sniffs. Run back and get another corpse. Repeat. I was never detected. Shocked its so easy. I tamed 3 using this method.
Don't even need the ghillie mate. Any armor will do. I do the same with no trap as i find it alot easier.
When this creature was released first thing I did was come to your channel! Definitely would be nice if you made it members only first.

On official PvE this won't work but it should on PvP. PvE can't kill unclaimed dinos.

I am speechless Nooblets, the taming dynamic sucks (yeah, that's wildcard doing, the think crappy ideas are gold) but you made a magnificent job as usual.
The Ark community truly owes you a lot and I mean it and specially Wildcard. Now I am motivated to try it on official, where I play. As PVE doesn't have the cryosickness debuff I guess you would have to knock it out before unclaiming it. There is a lot to try and you got me motivate it to attempt that.
It doesn’t have to be unconscious. Just ensure the dino is unclaimed and on passive mode
Yeah I’m having the same problem as everyone else where it always bites but refuses to sniff and eat so I’m in a bit of a conundrum
Seems to be a known issue when they are trapped, they don’t eat.
I love how ARK evolved. Back then it was like Oh frick oh frick oh frick, if you saw something in a distance.

This method didn't work for me at all, after a couple of hours trying on PS5 - it takes the first corpse fine, but then won't 'stop and sniff' again before the friendship meter winds back down to zero :/ (single player game)
Steve come on I thought you were really good...no cryo sickness in PVE..and you don't trap the creature..read the wiki...much easier no resources
Wish I could even get Gigas to spawn on my Fjordur map. I spent hours killing animals around a giga spawn and not a single giga has spawned. I've checked every giga spawn on the map and there's not any on the map. I don't understand why they won't spawn for me

Although I am a subscriber I can say that many people are not subscribed to many people simply because they use YT for information not to sub to people.
Putting it behind a paywall for a short time is a good idea, but you run the risk of others getting info out there before you so will likely reduce the amount of people looking for tips from you because they already have the info they need from others.
Making the vids members only is a risky move. You will sacrifice the views for subscribers, but you have no way of knowing what that ratio will be. You might end up losing out after all
Does it matter if the diplos have the crypt sickness or not? I’m playing on a server where’s it not a thing, maybe because it’s PVE.
Ive actually been subscribed for a long time. All your videos are helpful but i havent played ark in quite a while. It needs a 65 gig update and that means i will have to delete a lot of my games and saves on my console as it is a 500 gig system.

ark 1 has 90% hackers ark 2 will have 95% hackers you're better off playing cod less hackers and less bugs
Eeeeeesh what a chore! I guess once you get one, it's one heck of a reward. I take it that this is being done on official? The unofficial servers make it very easy for the most part.
heres the thing. there are a lot of people who make helpful videos. I subscribe but subscribed or not I tell other people about you. so if you close it off then thats a lot less people who get to see your videos. I wish you all the best but if you close it off Id probably unsubcribe. you are one of my favs but not my only fav.

I have a better trap just Find one and lure it to a cliff it can't climb and gain trust by throwing bodies of the cliff it must smell the body before you throw it off
I've tried and tried but they won't spawn I play single player and I don't know why they aren't and same with gigas and suggestions and I've dino wiped many times
I think making it members only, it takes 2 seconds to subscribe and it would certainly help you, which helps us.
Here’s the best way cause no one knows grab a baby rex kill it walk body to carch run when it wants to eat rex and walla after it eats it just needs to kill enough to be tamed no trap needed instant tame reguardless if official settings or boosted servers

does this work on single player? I tried leveling my rexes by killing unclaimed babies but my rexes can't deal any damage

I don't like these kinds of taming methods. I prefer either Knock out and feed traditionally or just use cheats to force tame.
i was just wondering is there no way to tame it by putting it to sleep with tranq shots? i did this but obviously the put food in inventory just didnt change even with all its favorites in there
If you made the videos members only people will just go to someone else to get the info and you'll end up with fewer viewers. IMO

The statistics about how many viewers are subscribed are not relevant to the viewer and have no impact on whether we want to subscribe or not.
me who watched it then proceeded to farm 40 lvl 250 diplos (my max lvl cap is 180)

What I do when trap taming is put the door on when it's trapped. It's easier to place a gate than to close one

I’ve found that on console they refuse to eat in a trap, I may try this trap to see if that’s still the case, will report back later

NO does not work on PVE
Cryo sick because its easier to kill with 10x damage
He says once in the vid to give them cryo sickness so you don't have to worry about giving them any commands. Plus e4zy i smoke has a good point about the damage that cryo sick dinos take making them alot easier to kill which in turn would make a faster time getting the kills.
I don't suppose anyone can point me in the direction of a list of creatures that the player can drag?
Mr nooblets, on official, tamed dinos can't get cryosickness on my server.
I play on a server where we have cryosickness turned off so what would i need to do differently?
