Another tip that I found not a lot of people talking about is the taming percentage is co related to the health of a creature. So if u have, let's say diplos or brontos as bait for the carcha to eat, u can imprint them and then feed it to the carcha as imprinting gives a boost to their health.
Couldn’t you just raise it entirely and pump health then unclaim it while passive

Thank you for your video, I was having issues getting the carcha to take the dead creatures, didnt think they could take unclaimed babys, saved a ton of time
This trapping the Carcha thing didn't work for me it would always sniff but never eat. So i killed everything around it and was wearing ascended ghille suit and then dragged the x rex babies to it and it ate them.
It really is that easy. I did the same thing for my first tame a couple days ago on a 150 Carchar on a private server with friends and it tamed like clock work. Thanks, Nooblets!
for a dino so strong i find this not only the easier tame but the most fun and i dont do any tricks, no bear traps, or iron traps. i just walk up to him with a rex then go on a massacre. very rarely will i not get it in 1 massacre session

For PVE still the best method is just bring your carcha to the snow biome and kill dinos there ;)

Doesn't work for me on official PVE.
I had a bunch of babys.. not diplo but Yuti and Bronto.. the Carca couldn't eat them. It could only eat regular size dinos,

@NOOBLETS I don't mean to bash you, but that's not official. It's more lag and a lot harder on 1x official plus you got alot of commands for advantages official is way harder u know it..
Worked perfectly. Did change a few things, like using brontos instead of diplos and using air conditioners to hatch the eggs, but still worked flawlessly. Biggest issue I faced, was being forced to build the trap on a cliff, which had a ton of trees.

I use all rexes, although i dont spread them out. I have a mod that is basically like cryopods and soul guns combined. It's called scs something. I put all 25 baby rexes together after i trap the carcha, but since it claims it when it cryos it, i have to unclaim all 25. But when im done putting all the rexes down, i save my game, and after i unclaim all of them just in case a dino screws it up by attacking them or me and scaring the babies. Then i go a little further away from the rexes to kill another one for the carcha food. Then i ride him and while riding him i kill all the rexes at once. I know the diplos altogether will make the carcha rage, but with rexes it wont. So maybe youll try this instead of how he does it, it takes i think the same amount of time or less, just doesnt need the rage bar to go down, since when you kill the rexes at once it will instantly tame it.
This a great method! However, in order to make the process even easier, you gave the solution in the video! The most difficult part of the tame is to get the beast into the trap. Since you showed you could drop gates while mounted, simply start the process by feeding the Carchar the Rex baby and befriending it. Mount the Dino and THEN drop your gates. You can then go about setting up the feeder Diplo’s. If you run out of time, however unlikely, you can simply feed it another Rex baby and off you go! Now more risk of getting bit or losing your flyer during the kite!

If you're on SP (or a private server), you an always modify the "DinoCountMultiplier=" setting, to 1.5 or w/e setting you want in GameUserSettings.
@@NOOBLETSyeah I'm on sp aswell I know the spawns for every Dino aswell I just kill everything do it a couple of times if that don't work I do a Dino wipe still can't get a good level Barry or giga gigas are spawning in the rocks on the volcano
I had to quot single player because of this. I'm on a server called Terra Natura now which isn't really boosted much which I'm enjoying. Think it's like 2x harvest 4 x taming which makes it a bit of a grind so it doesn't get boring

Hi Steve! Thanks for all the videos you make - you make it look so easy all the time! The hit box on this tame is HUGE! I got one in my trap however I was unable to get it to sniff at any of my offerings to make firends with it. I didn’t know about the carcha so I put it to sleep smh so I had to wait like 6 hours like I was so upset
I tranquilized one but not sure what to feed it, it says put food in inventory to feed it but I don't know what to put in.... 😂 Just my luck

I managed to tame my first carcha in the wild. I wanted to experience the taming process for myself before I start running the easy route. I was already breeding Rex's so i just fed it a baby one and hopped on. I was in the area looking for equus so i already knew where there were a load of wild dinos to feed her. I nearly got 100% but I lost 15% due to my own ignorance. I jumped off two cliffs and took fall damage. It was a female 135 and I already had plans to have her host a rhynio so I didn't mind the level loss.
And now thanks to your awesome video I know I'll be needing some diplos for that 150 I finally manage to find.

If I might ask, what's the performance like on ARK Survival Ascended? I'm currently in the process of building my new PC which will be sporting a 4070ti. What graphical settings are you using?
i tried this but when trapped the carcha would sniff but not eat the rex. tried it for like 10 min until i decided to remove the trap, which solved the problem. don't know if its just my game or they patched it. ps: i'm on pc, ase.
Nooblets youre truly godsent… On ASE whenever I tamed the carcs I always got them fully tamed before the dino, rage count number hit 100.
Now on ASA I been struggling for days trying to figure out why I kept getting kicked off and hard to hop back on: THE DINO RAGE METER!🤦♀️
So glad I decided to watch this video, now I wait for pride months 3x weekend rates to put to use ❤

Could you just leave the carca in the trap and eat the dead dinos so when it kicks you off you don't have to get it back in the trap

Idk y people dont use dimeyrodons to incubate. I build a whole nursery for mine. Theyre great at hatching eggs.
Only thing good about this method, was just throwing away the baby eggs to take it the first time other then that's, there is plenty of dinos around the bottom of the mountain

I have been watching your videos and noticed you are getting a lot of crashes. I was getting them all the time too until I set DLSS to balanced and limited the frame rate to 30. I have been playing for days now with these settings and have not had a single crash.

i found one in a mountion at the tek cave but its stuck so i cant tame it but its only level 5 so it wouldn't be worth it anyway

No. PVE requires a different method. You can't use your own dinos (even if unclaimed).
