I found another way that works for me on PVE: I prepare three Rex babies (one speare). When they hatch, I don’t feed them and cryo them when they have about 100 health left. I take up to 15 metal gates with me, and off we go. I build a large enough circle with metal gates near the Carchar. Then I uncryo one baby inside the gates and use a ranged weapon to lure the Carchar to the gates. Inside, I pick up the dead baby, and he sniffs it. Stay calm when he turns friendly. Take your gates and make sure your Argy is set to follow before you start riding him. When the timer shows less than 100 seconds, I build around him with the gates while riding-just spin around and place them. Then wait outside until he becomes aggressive again, and drop the second baby. Easy tame. Thanks for your content! Longer explenation: A method that reliably works for me in PVE requires two T-Rex babies, two cryopods, and around 15 metal gates. The first step is preparation. Hatch the T-Rex babies but do not feed them. Once their health drops to about 100 HP, cryopod them. With this setup ready, you can start. At the taming site, position yourself within shooting range of the Carchar. Place your Argentavis at a safe distance and set it to “Flee” to keep it out of harm’s way. Next, build a large circle of metal gates around yourself. Ensure the circle is big enough so that the Carchar cannot reach you while you are inside. To lure the Carchar, shoot it with a ranged weapon to grab its attention. Once it approaches and is near the circle and you inside, uncryo one of the T-Rex babies inside the enclosure and let it die. Pick up the dead baby and wait for the Carchar to perform its sniffing animation. If the sniffing does not start immediately, carefully approach the Carchar with the baby in your hands. When the Carchar begins sniffing, quickly exit the circle and place the baby on the ground in front of it. Be prepared to take a hit, as the Carchar might attack during this step. Once the Carchar eats the baby, it will turn friendly. At this point, pick up the metal gates, call your Argentavis, and set it to “Follow”. Mount the Carchar and begin hunting other dinos for it to eat, which advances the taming process. Be cautious around steep terrain, as the Carchar takes fall damage while ridden. If you cannot complete the taming in the first attempt, the second T-Rex baby will be your backup. When the taming timer drops below 100 seconds, start constructing a new large circle of metal gates around the Carchar while riding it. Spin in circle as you place the gates. After the gates are set, dismount and wait outside the enclosure until the timer runs out and the Carchar becomes aggressive again. Repeat the process by positioning your Argentavis further away and uncryopodding the second T-Rex baby. Let it die, pick it up, and wait for the sniffing animation. Place the baby in front of the Carchar and allow it to eat. Mount the Carchar again and continue the taming process. Typically, the taming is complete after the second ride. If not, you can repeat the gate-building steps until the tame is successful.
Heads up, in PvE you CAN feed baby Rex to the Carch! Just DONT unclaim the baby, kill it, and feed it to carch. Easy ( you can even bring gen and ac’s plus a few Rex eggs ready to pop. Just pick ‘em up and pop more eggs where/when ever you need) -PvE
@@animeexe1455 Yes, I know. I play PvE. Try re-reading my comment knowing I also read the comment I'm replying to? Lol. Let me break my comment down, so you can understand it: I thought that you could not feed dead tamed/claimed dinos to the Carch (this applies to BOTH PvE and PvP). This is the exact reason why PvP players have to unclaim their dinos before feeding and it's what makes taming Carch harder in PvE (because unclaimed dinos in PvE still count as "owned"). In other words, I'm trying to clarify what the original comment is saying because it sounds incorrect.
@@TheEmhan The carcha will eat dead tamed dinos during the first phase in PvE. This is the phase that allows you to get onto the carcha. It won't allow you to eat tamed dinos during the 2nd phase. So yes, the best way is to just have a baby rex or yuty and use it for the first phase. It only takes one.
The earliest way is the one with the baby dinos take a bunch of rex eggs on your argy hatch them ,feed him 1 and go back and unclaimed all of them then remove the gate and eat them. That is the best way to do it less headaches. Love your videos Nooblet great advice.
In PVE you can just murk your own tame and feed it that, no need to unclaim as in pve that usually makes the rexs impossible to kill. Its honestly one of the easiest tames out there. Only problem is pve you cant plant tames for it to eat but manually munching everything isnt half bad
Hell yeah! Good tame! jumped back into ark after taking a long break and coming back to these videos is the best! You've has helped me tame so many dinos! Looks like this Carcharodontosaurus is next!
this morning i had one at the volcano in ASA and it was perfectly still until i flew in with a baby bronto and killed it and walked with the corpse until it sniffed.... walked down into the lava and died... but it was only 55 carcar.
Recently tamed one of these with my friend and the mods we had made it bug out a lot. Took like 6-7 rides and it kept bucking us off but eventually we got it, also killed us probably 20 times total lol. Still it's like the crown jewel of our dino collection and the thing rips everything up wherever we take it.
Please make a video on tether distance on non-dedicated servers. When playing with another player, the tether can not be set above 180m meaning you teleport when the host moves to far away. I am guessing snail games has not done anything to fix this so people buy servers.
As of right now, you are right. What is there to make a video about? There isn't a way to change the tether distance, even the menu setting defaults back. Either host your own unofficial or use official. That's it.
The taming %is based on the hp stat of the prey being eaten (not how much health it has, but the flat value of the max hp specifically) So you might have to meddle with your server settings because he has 4x tame speed on (I personally do ~2.79% tame speed myself)
I'm still trying to figure out the titananasaur since now he walks over medium gates and alks through behemoth.....walls don't work clips through....no traps work and 2 out of 20 heads shots actually move the Tame bar.
wyverns would be on scorched earth, not the island afaik - though i havent played ascended, only normal ark (evolved). the "dragon" is a boss and not tameable, so thats why I assume you mean wyverns.
@@NOOBLETS I've tamed 4 without gates, but it is significantly easier if you gate it in before you get booted off. Here's a little thing I thought of.. On PvE/Official, you CAN kill your dinosaur/rex baby with a weapon (without unclaiming it), and drag the body to the carchar and it will eat it, I've done this. Set up a cryofridge somewhere easy to access, and bring your carchar there and dino gate it in, then when you get booted you can easily access your cryo'ed baby rex'es and feed it one. Should take a lot of the pain out of it on official pve.

This advice is so useful 🙏. I really needed something like this a few days ago and ended up dying a lot 😅😅
Baby spinos also seem to work for instant friend meter.

only 1 baby rex?
This is best guide on charcha taming ❤ i hope you make a video about PVE dino carrying so hopefully wild card do something about it
The whistle issue happens on the event reindeer as well. Seems your tames dont keep their follow status on non-allied dinos that arent yours just yet

official pve is a pain for carch cause on a populated server, theres no way u gonna build a trap since all is blocked off :D its a real pain
What taming settings do you have running? Im having major issues with setings on 1 for a 150 lvl. 150 bronto only gives it 2-3%

It depends on your weight stat, most people have 400-500 weight so the 550 might be how much you need to drag it

I just wish the Carchas and Gigas would stop spawning in the walls of the volcano or burning to death in the lava. Really smart spawn location WC. :/
you can't pick up unclaimed/unowned dinos on official servers.
I play in official pve and I have 500 weight. I just empty my inventory and I can drag mammoths.
