My imprinted giga with roughly 60k health and like 600 melee lost a third of its health to a level 40, wild gigas are no joke.

I wish more people used the mantis. We get great tools and items and they just go to waste when a mantis could be using them for us.

I recommend just holding shift and w key to the ground to land your bat much easier and you don’t accidentally latch. You can do that in very small spaces. Super useful

Dude, for real, the Desmodus are OP against Wyverns. My sis and I use them to raid the trenches all the time and the Wyverns (even the max level ones) don't have a hope in hell.

19:31 The only consumable your tames can take is the Mushroom Stew (or whatever it's called) to protect them from radiation poisoning.
8:08 if u dont know u can use desmodus night vision then fly around the ocean at night and find some tuso, i've tried it and they can be seen.

imagine going into a cave alpha megalania jumps onto your tame knocks you off you fall to the ground in terror and fear as the the life drains from your tames eyes you see the beast that has caused you your loss you bring forth a better tame in a cryo-pod your tame roars and becomes enraged by the death of their fellow tame he bites the megalania but they evades skillfully maneuvering into a crevice and prepares to strike you grab your harpoon gun and shoot BANG it goes as the net flys through the air and just grazed the tail as the megalania pounces with no other choice you pull out your shotgun BANG it hit but to no avail you aid your tame in battle piloting him with skillful proliferation and after one singular loss the battle has concluded and you being crowned the victor but as the adrenaline dissipates you feel a sharp pain in your arm ad it starts to rot you fall ill to this unknown plague you run back to your tribe and you go to the tribes medic he prescribes you with a very grave illness he looks you in the eye and with a frown on his face he breaks the news “you have contracted GIGA RABIES” as you lay in bed your tribe scrambles to find a cure but alas they were to late and you succumbed to your illness as you lay in bed tames and tribe mates by your side you slowly fall asleep but not before the doctor kisses you on the cheek and you mutter i always loved you dr alistor he runs outside sobbing crying in the rain as you die your tribemates carry you to your grave and you lay in eternal peace -the end

For giga spawns, r-gigas and regular gigs can spawn in the same places. On the volcano island, the beach you started on, and then north of the old fort base, around that big mountain on the map, there's a spawn, that I know of. And all three places can have 2 gigas.
you make it seam so easy to trap a giga. it didnt work when i tried xD have seen the most alphas in Asgard after the update to fix the alpha spawns found 4 in one day. There was a unicorn at 25:04 down to the right :)

21:35 I live on that, like island right there and I've had probably 20+ fjordhawks follow me at once before. I accidentally tamed one because I killed one of my sheep to get some mutton for taming and the fjordhawk swooped in and ate some of it. It's actually kind of annoying, especially when your trying to harvest something and a hawk gets in the way lol.
When you end up going for shadowmanes, there are a bunch of x-salmon in a tiny pool in the aberration cave with the boss terminal.
If you're looking for a good name for a new Wyvern. Draig means dragon in Welsh.

The “what the hell” is funny as hell
Basilosaurus are great for killing/taming mosasaurs as they can get relatively high health and good damage. They can kill normal mosasaurs and good for letting tusos grab them whilst you passive tame.
I think that syntac should do a vid called “hunting alphas for runestones” or “searching for shadowmanes in asgard”
In my experience, the water has been the best for runes. Just swim around on a pretty good basilo with a mate boost and I've been able to kill alpha teuso's, megalodons and mosa's. One 174 alpha tueso gave me something like 130 runestones. I got like 500 in an hour or two

I find it funny that i’m also doing a server on Fjordur and i’ve basically done everything you have done, a day ahead or before you. Two days ago I tamed a 162 Gigi and a 220 tek rex at the same time…😂

I just last night faced Beyla and the wolf twins on a bred and imprinted giga. Right at 50k health and 300 percent melee, not the greatest by any stretch, but did them back to back without healing and remained about 30k health. Worst thing about the wolf twins is when they get low they try to push you outside those pillars and if they do, they reset health to full.
Just got my first max level Giga last night! Took for freakin ever to knock the damn thing out 🤣

That cave might have been like the Dire wolf cave from crystal isle. For anyone who doesn’t know there is a cave on CI that is full of dire wolfs. So maybe the bears were just not loaded in properly
I found 2 gigas in that same place at the very beginning and one was high level, and I was trying to tame some of the nearby Andrewsarchus but it kept going to the gigas getting me killed once. I then lured them down the water fall and came back about a week later and got the low level giga away from the high level one and made a trap for the high level and tamed it. They were just hanging out below the waterfall with some Allosaurus for the whole time they were down there.
You're definitely going to want Gigas for skul and Hati along with the ice bear.

One thing I admire Syntac for is that he is taming a Dino without protection. What I mean, I personally would put gates around the giga or the Dino I tame just to make sure nothing will hit it even by accident.
P.S I am so unlucky that even with gates around the Dino I tame an argy will come out of nowhere and hit my tame 🤣😭

My wife and I set up base by that mountain where you were surprised to see the hawks. They have been there since we started which was about a week after launch I think.
Ps. dont use only one of those in steinbjörn, use at least 3 or 4
Being a shadowmane down into the watery pit of death. Me and my friend went down with a somewhat leveled, imprinted, and mate/pack boosted pair. The mosas didn’t stand a chance.
There should be alpha wolves, trikes [I dont count enraged, its a corrupted robot], stegos [yea, i said it], direbears and therizinos. Would love if the ARK Additions mod had alpha versions of its creatures, looking forward to deinotherium dropping this weekend.

I’m not sure if you knew this or not, but according to the new wiki, gigas can get through Steinbjorns damage resistance.
I tamed a r-giga yesterday :) it has a light purple underbelly and white-ish yellow on the top

So with the desmo I don't use space almost ever unless I want to latch. If you just do the dive bomb they will land. Even if you only do it from a foot they will land normally. I do that when I am farming the redwood cave drops as some of the drops are on very small landings.

You should name the giga Skullrunger, similar to the Old Norse word for champion, "skǫrungr".
GG I remember taming my first Giga solo using bows and tranq arrows. I physically shook for about a half hour afterwards because of the. adrenalin and excitement lol Nothing like the first time :D Eventually lost my level 76 Giga to a level 15 wild Giga. Didn’t know back then about the difference in strength between a tame Giga and a Wild Giga. I do now though lol

Apparently narco berries deliver their torpor the SLOWEST, but I'm not sure if it's actually slowly enough to be more effective than actual narcotics when taming something with fast torpor drain, like a Giga... ⭐️ you need some Tek Giga scuba gear... or a diplocaulus... Also, Desmodus night vision is pretty cool...

About the annoying Desmodus trying to latch when you don't want it to, here's what works wonders for me!!

Syntac you should do a 100 days in hardcore on the center
Alpha mosas give a huge amount of runestones at least for me. Difficulty on my server is on 7 and i always get over a hundred for high level ones
if what u said about the shocking trank darts is true then maybe a second rifle with regular trank darts should make sense especially for how difficult it is to tame a giga solo... I learned that the hard way
