lmao it's always funny to see people "reacting" to Alien and Aliens when you have seen the movie and know what is going to make them jump lmao 🙂 I love your accents too! Great reaction. The director's cut provides more context and some detail that will help you understand Ripley's motives a bit better. But you reacted to the version that we first watched in movie theatres. Now you can enjoy the director's cut as a bonus just like we dieback in the day. You did say you liked strong female leads, and Ripley is the most badass of them all.
Now you know why they showed Ripley smoking a cigarette earlier in the film. To explain why she was carrying a lighter on her which helped her escape from the sealed medical bay. Similarly a lighter was earlier shown in the "Die Hard 2" (1990) film which later proved to be very useful for the hero, John McClane.
BRAVO in watching the theatrical cut first. You can now check out the Director's Cut which includes the much touted, but ultimately overrated colony scenes, which would've ruin the pacing of the movie's first hour because it revealed too much too soon. Fanboys will claim the deleted scenes explained "plot holes" in regards on how the colony was infected and how Newt survived. But most of them were not there in 1986 and the context of the time. This film was released before the internet and before the xenomorphs were so over exposed and its first hour capitalized on your fear of the first movie and also anticipation of the creature's reappearance. Films back then were edited to be self contained so you do not need web extras to know what is going on. Film makers then also give you just enough and also actually RESPECT your intelligence to know you can fill in the blanks, engage your imagination and draw your own conclusions because what is in your head will ALWAYS be more fearsome than what is onscreen. More is not always better and oftentimes, less IS more.
We just realised we have watched the generic version 😭😖 I think we will watch the directors cut regardless ( as a private affair) as we have enjoyed this movie so much! It literally had our hearts racing! 🫣🥹
@@ScreenJamm just a warning that the first opening minutes of Alien 3 might make you very angry, hence why so many people discount it as not being "canon" or official part of the story and I do not blame them.
"Aliens": Third Officer Ripley has been found and taken to Gateway station with a Xenomorph-size case of PTSD. What will The Weyland-Yutani Suits make of her blowing up the "Nostromo"? 3:23 You are apparently viewing the theatrical version that I saw in 1986. 7:34 Actor Jenette Goldstein is/was a bodybuilder, so pull ups were no sweat for her. Fluent in Spanish, she went to casting as a Latina gang member. (The origin of the "illegal alien" joke?) 9:29 Ripley shows Apone and Hicks that she isn't a front office paper shuffler like Burke, but a working class dog, like themselves. 15:08 In 1986, I noticed that Ripley was able to "get close, quickly" to Rebecca, unlike the female Colonial Marines. A reviewer at the time said: "Sisterhood!" In 1990, I bought the Special Edition Laserdisc(!) and confirmed that Ripley had been a parent. 17:42 Ripley stayed on the "Nostromo," so she didn't see the skeletal walls of the derelict space ship. 18:47 Vasquez has spare fire control modules so the squad still has fire support.
I actually met Carrie Henn (NEWT) last year at a sci-fi convention; days before Halloween. Wish I could share a picture. Got her autograph on my Aliens DVD. Aliens was her only movie. I was amazed that Bishop remained useful after ripped in half, unlike a certain gold droid in Empire Strikes Back. The actor who played him didn’t know how to read until he was 30 years old! I was ecstatic when the movie was mentioned in an Avengers film and the basis for a rescue plan! They even did a camera shot that was reminiscent of it. I wish you watched the Special Edition of Aliens. Do NOT bother with the remaining sequels. HUGE disappointments. Normally don’t bother with audio commentaries but I enjoyed the one with the director and cast
@redviper6805 amazing that you’ve met NEWT actress! I wonder why she hasn’t continued her acting career… she has done an amazing job in Aliens. I have not seen Avengers so definitely will be looking out for the Aliens inspired rescue plan! Thanks for this Easter egg 🫶🏻
@@ScreenJamm Carrie Henn decided to pursue a career in teaching. And, to be fair, given the number of child actors who have faced drug or alcohol addictions, that might have been a good move.
They see by passive heat sonar and a active version each time they Hiss. The hissing all the time is for them to see you, which in turn the organ in their head draws out where everything is around them. "including your location, distance and surroundings"
About how they can see, in the original Alien the xenomorph has a slightly translucent dome and you can see its eyes if you look really hard. They removed that design in the later movies. They probably have some other senses humans don't have and have no need for eyes.
I always admire actors who can play both hero and villain roles like Wesley Snipes in Blade and in Demolition Man respectively. In the case of Lance Hendriksen (Bishop) he also played a villain in the action film "Hard Target" (1993). Harrison Ford briefly did double duty in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. And Jean Claude Van Damme also played a hero and later a villain in his movie roles. Sylvester Stallone I think was a villain in one of his earliest roles (Death Race 2000), a sci-fi film I do not recommend anyone see as its a badly made, cringe movie. Then there's actor Heath Ledger who needs no further explanation.
Great reaction guys! If you want really something fun, exciting and over the top for Halloween. I highly recommend Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls (1970). Described by it's writer, film critic Roger Ebert as a 'Camp Sexploitation Comedy Horror Musical that climaxes with a Quadruple Murder and a Triple Wedding!'. It's played straight but it's a hilarious satire of Hollywood with fabulous dialogue, characters, clothes, music and hair! It works out on so many levels. Check out the Poster and Trailer and tell me you don't want to see it!
the aliens build their nests similar to left cutter ants or wasps. they chew what the can find. wood normally and them glue it together with their saliva like newspaper.
@@ScreenJamm you should try working with poison frogs their the size of your thumbnail. and the poison will kill in under an hour. if you use the antivemon you may still lose the limb and if still a month in hospital.
Keep in mind that the movie title "Aliens" could equally refer to the humans as well as they were not indigenous to LV-426. And it was the humans who had first encroached on the Xenomorph's nest of eggs, just minding their own business seemingly. So this film is really Aliens Vs Aliens. The film viewer is obviously biased towards only one Alien species. And the film was directed by an obviously biased film director, a human.
Great reaction! For another action thriller with a strong female lead, please watch the movie, "The Long Kiss Goodnight". You will truly enjoy & love it! Thanks and more power! 😃
In a way, i felt for the queen, she was protecting her children, as any mother would. As ripley was. The end battle was literally two mothers fighting for their kids. Now if you like this little family that survived, bishop included, stop here. Dont watch anymore until maybe AVP, with a new cast and crissover with another sci fi franchise. Not the greatest movie, but not horrible either. But the next few, skip. If you love our surviving unit here and just believe they all lived happily ever after. Side note, theres this hoodie i want that had "ripley, hicks for president and vp (in that order!), its the only way to be sure ."
True.. The Alien momma tried to fight for her babies… but… Ripley was the badass she couldn’t win against 🫶🏻 we loved the ending and Queen destroyed. To be honest so many people have mentioned that the other movies in this franchise are extremely disappointing that we are curious to see why…. 😄
Do you like empowered women? Watch "Terminator 2" and you'll freak out (but beware, you'll freak out more if you watch "Terminator" first). And of course, don't miss "Aliens"
Eh, the theatrical version cuts the scene with Ripley learning her daughter died of old age while she was frozen. Given how her entire character arc this movie is centered around becoming a surrogate mother for Newt, I honestly can't recommend the version that skips the why. Especially since it's otherwise incongruous with her character in the last movie.

😅 yeah we are strong … ( have you seen us watching the Conjuring? 🫣) Ok so the question is - why everyone is saying that rest of the Alien movies are total garbage? 🤔
@@ScreenJamm because Alien 3 starts dividing the entire fanbase. Its not garbage, but it takes ALL THE RISKS and doesnt work for everyone. If you like sunshine and rainbows only, you may not enjoy Alien 3 but you will certainly give a good reaction. As for Alien Resurrection, the 4th one. It is a bad movie but its bad in a funny way and does take other kinds of risks. Imagine if they incorporated some raunchy comedy in an alien, thats is basically Alien Resurrection And the 2 Alien prequels are worth watching. Prometheus is pretty good but also adds in lore and explanation and still not enough answers which also splits the fanbase again. Alien Covenant is the considered the worst prequel sequel but it adds more different aliens and ONE silly dialogue that is worth your reaction to And the AVP movies are definitely terrible, but you can enjoy making fun of them in the reactions All in all, there are some bad and divisive ones here but you wont get bored and you’ll get good reactions out of all of them.
Ok. The reason Vasquez is doing pull-ups when they awake from hibernation is to wa4m up the blood in the system after being asleep. There's a reason the directors cut was suggested. It's has more material to flesh out the relationship between Newt and Ripley. The face hugger needs an organic host to lay its eggs. The chest hugger bursts out to claim the host. Then, after it bursts free, the xenomorph is born. And thevhost most be warm blooded, meaning human or animal. Androids are neither. Although it be an interesting story idea. Nevermind.

Hahha yeah man! “Game over man!” My fav side character 🫶🏻
The jump scare hand reaction is hilarious. You all should wear helmets when you watch scary movies.
Great reaction! Heading back to watch all of the Fallout reactions next!
Thanks @ColinPoole! “Fallout” series were our first attempt to record reactions and it kind of got us going as we had no idea how RUclips worked 🥹 Our editing and quality has improved since so don’t be put off by our older style 🫶🏻♥️
Aliens le top de la SF vu en salle à l'époque 🎬👍
It's a shame you ladies didn't watch the Special Edition. Its the only way to watch Aliens now. And as far as im concerned, Aliens is the greatest sci-fi monster movie ever made
In space, no one listens to Ripley...There is a companion book that explains the missing 57 years.
Pls continue The Conjuring Universe?
When second movie?
The Conjuring 2 is coming out next week 🫣👀 it was very scary 😧
Thanks you for watching the theatrical version first! The extended version is brutal, and ruins the flow of the movie. Not to mention some of the characters. It’s fun to see it for some things “ sentry guns “ after the fact.
you're in the small minority with that take.
The first one was good but I definitely prefer the second one
Both movies were entertaining in my opinion 👌🏻👽 a lot of unknown in the first one , which allowed for more suspense I think.
She "Don't tell me there s another Alien movie"
Me "No... there are seven more Alien movies" 😀
the AvP movies are not canon though so its only 5 more
LiveAndDie85
Prometheus and Covenant are so bad, I counted them as two movies, each 😉
Queen takes Bishop!
Wooww.. chess didn’t even crossed our minds. 😱 smart… very smart… 🤓
lmao it's always funny to see people "reacting" to Alien and Aliens when you have seen the movie and know what is going to make them jump lmao 🙂
I love your accents too! Of course we Americans do not have an accent! Just kidding lmao. I speak with a California accent, which is the one you usually hear in Hollywood movies. At 1638 (438 pm) here in the San Francisco Bay Area, it is still 22 C, and 27 C is predicted for tomorrow. It is predicted that it will get down to 11.6 C tonight. 🙂
Did you guys recognize Burke from the TV show Mad About You? It was on when I was in high school (I graduated 1996). He played a nice guy, the show was a comedy about his life with his new wife, played by Helen Hunt (she was also in Twister). 🙂
🫶🏻♥️ what a great movie!
So envious of San Francisco weather! I have visited San Francisco in 2019, and loved it so much! ♥️
I loved watching your reaction, is kinda fun. I recommend Predator, Paranormal Activity and Starship Troopers franchises.
Thanks @Mr.Shaytan ! So awesome that you are tuning in 🫶🏻 Predator is almost at the top of the list to be watched next! However not sure if we are ready for Paranormal Activity as we’ve just watched Conjuring 2 🫣👀. It’s on the list though … 🤓
Great reaction. I like only the first two movies. Same with the Terminator movies. Thanks.
Thanks @henrytjernjund ! 🫶🏻♥️
Along with Sarah Connor
Newt is now a 40 y/o school teacher 😊.
In sci-fi, the nick name "Dog Meat" isn't always a bad name, but it definitely is in this film!
Sarah is a badass in terminator 2, and also check out the movie Atomic Blonde for another female badass! And any of the resident Evil movies!
😂😅there y'all go again 😆
Theatrical or not we have truly enjoyed this movie! Great storytelling and visuals! Love love love! Ripley 10/10 🫶🏻👌🏻
Great movie
you should have watched the directors cut version , i hink you would have enjoyeed it more
We just realised we have watched the generic version 😭😖 I think we will watch the directors cut regardless ( as a private affair) as we have enjoyed this movie so much! It literally had our hearts racing! 🫣🥹
You should watch the other sequels as well! Alien 3 is meh, but I like the others 🙂
I think we will watch it eventually as we are dead curious why others are so harsh about it 😇
@@ScreenJamm just a warning that the first opening minutes of Alien 3 might make you very angry, hence why so many people discount it as not being "canon" or official part of the story and I do not blame them.
Xenomorph-sized case of PTSD for sure 😅 and still she did go back! 🫣
Best movie🥰 right?
Loved it! 👌🏻♥️
One minute then one on the left sounds American ,then from London ,then from the north of England lol
Amaya is definitely a master in expressing herself freely 😂 we live in the UK so how the hell is she pulling that American accent I have no idea 🤭
And, to be fair, given the number of child actors who have faced drug or alcohol addictions, that might have been a good move.
she's a school teacher now and used to work with my wife. my daughter goes to high school with her kids.
They see by passive heat sonar and a active version each time they Hiss. The hissing all the time is for them to see you, which in turn the organ in their head draws out where everything is around them. "including your location, distance and surroundings"
Wow! It actually makes sense now! We were baffled how did queen alien navigated in pursue of Ripley.
About how they can see, in the original Alien the xenomorph has a slightly translucent dome and you can see its eyes if you look really hard. They removed that design in the later movies. They probably have some other senses humans don't have and have no need for eyes.
Before the movie Ripley was afraid of using guns...even in real life.

They see using echo location like bats
Fascinating but still eeewwww 😆
@@ScreenJamm you should try working with poison frogs their the size of your thumbnail. and the poison will kill in under an hour. if you use the antivemon you may still lose the limb and if still a month in hospital.
Stop here. They live happily ever after!
Hahahah Curiosity might win here, we want to know how bad the rest are! 😄
This is my favorite of the franchise.
Ripley was the first female movie bad ass.
Top woman lead for us so far 🙌🏻🫶🏻
Alien and Aliens was fantastic. Don’t waste your time on Alien 3!!!
"Leave her alone"
There wouldn't be a movie.
Yeah…. we know….. 😒
🫶🏻♥️
Thats NOT the line!
The aliens do not pay any attention to Bishop because he is an android -- he could not be a host for the parasitic face hugger.
Ah… it makes sense… 🤦🏻♀️
Fantastic isn't it? Now stop there, no need to watch any more, the Alien saga ends here.
Everyone keeps saying this! 😂 are the rest really that bad?
@@ScreenJamm 3 may be the worst film of all time!
The Autopsy of Jane doe
Por favorrrr!!!
THERE is ALWAYS another ALIEN .. movie ..
they never stop .. sigh
You can say the same for jason and freddy kruegar and jigsaw movies. Stop complaining
Hollywood needs to make that cash somehow 😆💰
Do you like empowered women? Watch "Terminator 2" and you'll freak out (but beware, you'll freak out more if you watch "Terminator" first).
And of course, don't miss "Aliens"
It's pathetic 🤨
..."oh reaaaaally!" 🤣😂🤣🇬🇧
🫣🤭
The Terminator
Trying to date the gal in the white hoodie. 😘

Special edition slows it down, only watch theatrical version. Best way to view it.
I think we have watched the theatrical version, although many advised to watch the directors cut. 🤷🏻♀️
@@fwg1994we didn’t realised that this wasn’t the directors cut until we have uploaded and received feedback 🤪 we will watch the directors cut privately as we have loved the movie so much 🤩
She is your daughter? I thought you were friends! I feel so old! You are fine, I'm old.
It's more like you go get your your younger man because it's not yet socially acceptable for an older woman to get a younger man as opposed to the other way or of course an older man getting a younger woman.
True.. 🤔
DONT LISTEN TO NEGATIVITY. WATCH ALIEN 3…. You are strong women, you can handle Alien 3
😅 yeah we are strong … ( have you seen us watching the Conjuring? 🫣)
Ok so the question is - why everyone is saying that rest of the Alien movies are total garbage?
Imagine if they incorporated some raunchy comedy in an alien, thats is basically Alien Resurrection
And the 2 Alien prequels are worth watching. Prometheus is pretty good but also adds in lore and explanation and still not enough answers which also splits the fanbase again. Alien Covenant is the considered the worst prequel sequel but it adds more different aliens and ONE silly dialogue that is worth your reaction to
And the AVP movies are definitely terrible, but you can enjoy making fun of them in the reactions
All in all, there are some bad and divisive ones here but you wont get bored and you’ll get good reactions out of all of them.
Nevermind.
We didn’t realised that the version we were watching was a generic one.. 😖
We will have to indulge into directors cut for sure! We both have loved the movie and looking forward to find out more about it. ♥️🫶🏻
@@ScreenJamm Your reaction was fine if a bit anxious. If you choose to go forward Ripley appears in these movies until ALIEN RESURRECTION. And they are followed by PROMETHEUS and ALIEN COVENANT which finally tell you the origin of the alien, which leads to the first movie.
It's October, do you follow this journey until Halloween if you like. Thanks for responding.
Never understood why people need more to Ripley & Newt's bond. It's perfect in the theatrical version.
Ellen Ripley is the O.G. of female asskickers. She is the archetype uber woman in the genre. They all dtem grom her.
You talk too much

Why are women watching and reacting?
Why are men watching women watching and reacting? 😂😭
