In 1999 , when this movie was made, there was no WIFI, and people could only connect to the internet through a landline, using a wired modem. So the broadcast of consciousness from the body into the matrix required a landline within the matrix, this is why they used payphones and rotary phone, but not cellphones.

Fun fact: the role of Trinity was first offered to Madonna, it was actually written for her inspired by her look in her "Human nature" video, but she declined cos she was busy filming another movie. But she ended up providing the record contracts to do the soundtrack under her record label Maverick Records.

I came on to give the same comment. I watched this is theatres in 1999, been talking about this movie ever since, seen dozens of reactions...and you're the very first person to clock the game the Oracle played with Neo's mind. You're paying attention and thinking outside the box. Genius.
@BingeTies Was looking for this comment too 😁 and also watched in the theaters when it premiered in 1999. I was confused by the oracle on my 1st watch. Great reaction!
the "power of the kiss", is just Neo feeling her lips on his, in the REAL world, then thinking "i'm not dead", gets back up, and by doing so, he became The One...
Or he just needed to die to activate the Chosen One program, his heart stops and he is then reborn as the chosen one. But Trinity is The element (predicted and manipulated by the oracle) that will divert Neo from his original path. Thomas Anderson was predestined from birth to be the One.
@@malekbaraka3458 or, he needed to fully believe, that he could separate reality from the Matrix... there's so many different ideas of how it all came to be... maybe he got so "excited" from the kiss, that it restarted his heart, maybe feeling the kiss was the reason, maybe the kiss was pure timing, maybe it was the "cookie" he got from the Oracle, or maybe many different ideas all at once, we will never know...
The reason the kiss works, is his body feels it. The real world. It makes his digital self reboot. If you remember the cookie the oracle gave Neo, it is the cookie of a computer program. It gave Neo the reset button he needed to come back. "The next life". When Trinity kisses Neo, his mind rembers fhe bullets aren't real, so he gets up, and sees the code of the Matrix. This allows him to hack the Matrix programs at will. Hence how he kills agent Smith.
Just like Trinity at the beginning of the film after jumping through the window when she's on the ground telling herself to "get up." It was back to the Morpheus training. "You think that's air you're breathing?" She had to remind herself 'I'm not exhausted, I can keep going. It's the programming of the Matrix attempting to make me FEEL like I'm tired/winded. Get back on your feet and move.'
what if Neo (oNe) is Jesus and Morpheus is Noah with his ship who's just a believer, and almost no one believes that.. don't need to continue all the characters and scenes like Juda's betrayal and such, you know.. so in this case we can think of resurrection.. Jesus had to die so then he could be the One. Cookies version is great btw, didn't think about that
Here’s a fun fact: Will Smith was offered the role of Neo but declined. You guys should watch the following movies: The rest of The Matrix franchise & The John Wick franchise.
Yep. In the earliest days, the Wachowski's pitched the film to Will and also envisioned Val Kilmer in the role of Morpheus and Janet Jackson as Trinity.
The letters in “Neo” can be rearranged to “One” His apartment number is “101” “Trintiy” (as in 3) is introduced in apartment. “303” Neo “accepted a cookie” from the oracle, the same way we accept cookies online. When the oracle said he wasn’t the one , it seemed like he was waiting for something. Neo asked “What?” And the oracle answered: “Another life, who knows” Eventually Neo dies in the matrix and is reborn into his new life as the one.

When Trinity jumped out of the helicopter, think about the force of that explosion and her bodyweight. There's no way Neo should have been able to hold her after that, anyone else and she would've pulled them over the edge and they both fell to their deaths. That's why Tank realized in that moment that Neo was 'the One.' He saw that he could do things others couldn't because he believed so and when he finally believed fully in himself, remembered who he was and that he knew how to read/decipher (Cipher tried to kill him, wink wink) all the code.

Robin Hood: Men In Tights, after Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Blazing Saddles, The Producers and Young Frankenstein probably can be watched without issue. So can Life Stinks. However, High Anxiety....needs to come after a bunch of Alfred Hitchcock films. 1. Psycho 2. North By Northwest 3. Vertigo 4. Rear Window 5. Rope 6. Dial M for Murder 7. Strangers on a Train So, I want you to have as much information as possible. Sorry this is such a long post. I just like seeing new channels have a chance to grow with lots of content. What I have suggested, could last you a couple of years, maybe more depending on your upload schedule.
@@bobbywilliams4438 I still want to see it. Even if it turns out to not be my favorite movie, I want to see what ideas they came up with to do another movie.
The Matrix is a great movie on its own. But if you're going to see part 2, plan to see part 3 also. Part 2 expands on the first movie, but like so many middle parts of a trilogy, it's a bridge to the resolution in part 3. The 4th one was made decades later, so watching or not depends on how badly you want more. Glad you enjoyed the movie. 25 years later, it still holds up surprisingly well.
I'd love to see y'all react to the John Wick movies, and stuff like Tombstone, A Thin Line Between Love And Hate, Harlem Nights, and the Top Gun movies.
The lyric that plays when the credits start: "You know they went after king when he spoke out on vietnam" The song that comes from is about MLK, X, and cointelpro. The speech its referencing to is "3 evils of society" (1967 mlk, one year before he was taken). Listen to the speech and you will understand the movie. Everyone needs to wake up.
First time watching one of your videos. Very good reaction! I appreciate the near-constant commentary. Many other reactors say a lot less, which makes for a pretty boring video. Subscribed!
Great preview guys. I watched this when it was released 25 years ago and it's amazing how it's stood the test of time. Watching you enjoy it just as I did is just fantastic (
This movie was a techtonic shift in story telling. In the second movie it brings subtle reality that is missed by most people. It explains in depth what is going on.
Props for catching so many different ideas and motives about this motive in the first try. I saw this at 19 years old and it took me 3 times to actually grasp it. Not sure if you ever watched them, but The first 2 Terminator films do time travel really well and Back to the Future is a masterpiece in film making.
You are probably the first guy I know, who got that Oracle hasn't told Neo he is not the one! Congrats! It took me probably 2-3 rewatches to notice that! It's even deeper, she told him he is waiting for "another life" and he was killed before he became the one - that's some remarkable writing. PS. parts 2 and 3 are definitely worth watching for the lore, although, they are not as good as the first part. PPS. if you gonna watch 2 and 3, stay alert for the hints.
"You've got the gift but it seems like your waiting for something. Like your next life maybe, who knows..." By the end of the film the Oracle's message to Neo reveal that she knew from the start that his old life as Mr. Anderson had to die in order for Neo (aka The One) to finally live in the new life.
Great reaction guys! This is my first time ever seen one of your videos, and I am now subscriber. All the other comments are correct, you guys are pretty sharp :-) one of my favorite comments is when your man said, "yo I might trust you if you get the gun out of my face" 😂

Just found your channel. Enjoyed your reaction. Btw, I loved the 4th movie. Some ppl here are telling you it wasn't good but it was just different. Some time has gone by before the 4th movie takes place so circumstances have changed. I wonder if some ppl don't like it bc they were expecting something else, but then if the writer just rehashed parts 1-3, ppl would complain about that too. Some ppl don't like the 2nd & 3rd movies either. They were good too, but I think the 1st one was so new & unique for its time, it was hard to top.

Get the man his steak!! He hit the 🎯 with why the oracle said what she said. Btw they can't use the cellphones to "unplug" because they are digital. They can only use analog phones with a cord connection to headset, like payphones & rotary dial phones ➡️☎️... Rotary dial phones weren't common in 1999, but landline phones were still being used everywhere. However, all of our analog phones at home & in offices were digital in some kind of way, (phone base on nightstand connected to landline, but the headset was wireless, (digital)). That's why they need Tank at the computers on the ship to find specific phones & then call them on the digital cellphones to guide them to those specific analog phones. This is how it was in 1999 in this version of The Matrix. 👤🤙🏾
@@BingeTies Even he said that he's glad he turned it down, because he wasn't mature enough as an actor and he didn't really understand or believe in the concept of the film, so he wouldn't have been able to do it justice.

Don't worry, when we talk about "AI" today it's mostly a marketing gimmick, and we are still dealing with simple algorithmic tools, at least simple compared to a true artificial intelligence, a real "singularity" - when a complex system realizes (for real) that it exists. It also has to be acknowledged that both directors transitioned from male to female, after the Matrix franchise, and to read the messages of "slavery" and "freedom", that the movie professes in a more social context, rather than some kind of cautionary tale against machines and computers :D Not super important, but something to keep in mind!

24. Wayne's World
25. Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery
That should be a good amount of the films people are going to request from you.
So it helps a new channel grow. I would suggest the Mel Brooks films, but it is better to have seen a good amount of the films on this list before starting his movies.
The same with a Weird Al movie.
(UHF). Raiders of the Lost Ark, Conan, Gandhi, First Blood and Rambo: First Blood part 2 need to be watched prior to UHF.
Stars Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi all need to be watched first before watching Spaceballs, which is a Mel Brooks movie and Bran Stoker's Dracula needs to be watched before Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Also a Mel Brooks movie. Robin Hood: Men In Tights, after Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Blazing Saddles, The Producers and Young Frankenstein probably can be watched without issue. So can Life Stinks.
However, High Anxiety....needs to come after a bunch of Alfred Hitchcock films.
1. Psycho
2. North By Northwest
3. Vertigo
4. Rear Window
5. Rope
6. Dial M for Murder
7. Strangers on a Train
So, I want you to have as much information as possible. Sorry this is such a long post. I just like seeing new channels have a chance to grow with lots of content. What I have suggested, could last you a couple of years, maybe more depending on your upload schedule.
I can't watch the Matrix without thinking about Cam'Ron "Larry Fishburn" story😂😂😂
Yes continue the series!! But whatever yall do please don't watch the 4th one! Im saving yall time and a headache!
I think the fourth movie looks lit.
Damn really? heard ok things about the 4th…
@BingeTies man I'm tryna tell ya !! Yall can check it out but I'm warning ya it's mid at best !
@@bobbywilliams4438 I still want to see it. Even if it turns out to not be my favorite movie, I want to see what ideas they came up with to do another movie.
@@WolfsDE that's fair ! 💯
“Not like this” is the key line. The directors are both trans, and that character is their stand-in
The lyric that plays when the credits start:
"You know they went after king when he spoke out on vietnam"
The song that comes from is about MLK, X, and cointelpro.
Watching you enjoy it just as I did is just fantastic (
Sophia Stewart a writer on both Terminator & the matrix said herself that both movies were connected.
"He gotta believe he bulletproof at this point." That almost took me out! 😂
Spiderman-kick! Lol! First time this typical-kick was in Matrix to Watch.
love your reactions! and how you make your reactions longer! please keep reacting!
We Appreciate you for tuning in! Glad u loved it!
I can’t believe you guys caught so much stuff! Great reactions
That is the Captain from Bad Boys
This movie really spoke to late 90s office malaise. There was something quite visceral about it at the time.
It was impressive to watch you enjoy this classic, but be able to follow what was going on in real time. Y’all are some smart kids! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! And we love these type of movies we was focused😂
@@BingeTies Yes, good job on following it at first, the more you watch this, the more interesting things you will hear and see.
You're both very sharp not many understand and could figure things out like you both did.
What a sad coincidence that Morpheus had a random ion cannon on his ship that Cypher could use.
2:45
Speeding truck barreling down on a ringing phone. A woman has to answer it!😂
Great reaction guys! This is my first time ever seen one of your videos, and I am now subscriber. All the other comments are correct, you guys are pretty sharp :-) one of my favorite comments is when your man said, "yo I might trust you if you get the gun out of my face" 😂
Great reaction! Y’all nailed it on this one. Y’all are so clever
Y'all get points for the "Chuck" reference. 👍
This was so ahead of its time. 2 was another level the most classic to me imo bc they went apeshxt! 3 was a good send off but very long lol
I’d love to see your reaction to The Matrix Reloaded, Revolutions and Ressurections
This was my first time watching this channel you guys are funny.
welcome to our channel! glad you messed with the vid. you think we should do the second film?
@@BingeTies I really like the matrix series so I'd watch it lol. I think the first 3 movies together make a really good trilogy, and the fourth movie is just optional to watch.
I was born 6/1990 and out of all this time I just realized something. If AI got rid of the land line phones it would stop alot of ish in the simulation/ movie
The Chosen One was killed by the owners of this world, but the love of the Trinity brought him back from the dead with the power to defeat them. Just sayin'. I really enjoyed your reaction and your thoughtful commentary. I think I'll check out a few more of your reactions!
watch "the animatrix" next its series of anime short films made to go between 1 and 2 explains the lore.
This movie is great. I just finished watching y'all reaction to this.
It has to be a landline to get in and out of the Matrix. Cell phones won’t work.
Welcome to the channel, Glad you enjoyed our reaction! and yea we’ll go in order and still check that one out
How am I just seeing this 2 months laterrrrr😭😭😭😭
Ayeeeeeeeeeee y’all are watching the greatest movie of all time this is literally the greatest movie of all time yall are so dope mannnnnnnnn I swear keep it going 4real yall are the sht!!!! Yall gotta watch the second and third matrix this movie solidified most action movies in that decade. It’s also where Everyone got that slow motion from! Y’all are awesome!!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We definitely gonna check the next ones out appreciate you! You are awesome!🔥🙌🏽
@@BingeTiesayeeeeeeeeee bet!!!!!!! Y’all are the best!!!!!!!
Amazing reaction to one of my favourite movies ❤
This was a really good film!
Wait until yall see the next one he kicks ass!
It's actually more like 3 movies and one later attempt to bring it back.
If you want... Add "the Animatrix" to your list between Matrix 2 and 3
Can you believe they want Will Smith to play the character Neo first
We can believe it he’s a great actor but keanu reeves was perfect for it
@@BingeTies Even he said that he's glad he turned it down, because he wasn't mature enough as an actor and he didn't really understand or believe in the concept of the film, so he wouldn't have been able to do it justice.
It would have made the movie a farcical. Dodged a bullet with that one
He a hacker bro😂not only is he Neo, he's a computer geek😂...robots and automatons that try to take over world hate humans that fight back, especially when that human is a hacker who can hack them😂
Fun reaction, keep going. All are brilliant
Wow. People seem to truly believe that a movie won't explain anything😢😅
When y'all finally do a reaction video to Descendants 2, Imma be mad excited. 😂😊❤
Well do it eventually, Jae didn’t like it so much but we’ve had heard the second one is better so he’s open
It IS the captain from Bad Boys
Right right
We actually live in a Physical Matrix😂we are spiritual beings bonded in flesh...matter is energy, and vice a versa.
That was the captain from Bad Boys
if you ever finish this series the 3rd one they legit recreate goku vs freiza lol.
The agents are not AI they are programs
Controlled by AI... lol
Took till 2020s for average pple to catch up. It's cool to see new reactions
watch the animatrix it explains the history of everything in matrix fiilms.
Ohhh yea we need to check it out!
I like the reaction. I want to see part 2. Subbed so you can buy another pair of headphones.
LMAOOO thank you we appreciate it. Probably wont buy any headphones though
25:31 Very observant sir, most people don't get that. Very observant indeed.
After the Lord of the Rings this trilogy is my second best of my life.
unfortunately no one can be told what the matrix is you have to see it for yourself
the scene with the harp goes over a lot of peoples head
I think it went over our head which part you’re talking about…?
@BingeTies when Cipher is eating the steak. As he says "ignorance is bliss" the harp plays at the same time. EVERYTHING in the restaurant is designed to convince him to turn on his friends.
There were only three Matrix movies. Later Matrix Resurrections was made
Who sets the alarm clock to 09:18??? Everything else in this movie is perfectly plausible.
Japanese recipes were the codes on the green screen :)
If you think about it - if the agents are fast enough to dodge bullets like that one on the roof, ANY hand-to-hand combat with them would be absolutely impossible and over in a fraction of a second. Just sayin'...
Exodus 13:12 That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth THE MATRIX, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord's.
also that IS t he captain from bad boys
Don't worry, when we talk about "AI" today it's mostly a marketing gimmick, and we are still dealing with simple algorithmic tools, at least simple compared to a true artificial intelligence, a real "singularity" - when a complex system realizes (for real) that it exists.
It also has to be acknowledged that both directors transitioned from male to female, after the Matrix franchise, and to read the messages of "slavery" and "freedom", that the movie professes in a more social context, rather than some kind of cautionary tale against machines and computers :D
Not super important, but something to keep in mind!
Best. Movie. Ever. You should watch Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions (2&3). It was a trilogy. The 4th movie (the newer one) is not that good if you ask me.
The terminator should be next!
The matrix/simulation theory/Flat earth/outerspace skepticism are the same thing
Most of Neo's martial arts moves are Bruce Lee inspired.
😊😊😊hiii plzzz reactt JIM.QAREY MOVIESS PLZZZ😮😮😢😢
Hope you guys react to the other two movies it gets crazy
Phenomenal movie!
word of advice: don't bother with the sequels. Some things are better left unseen. They'll make you wanna be like cypher: "i wanna remember nothing"
Do a review of Enter The Dragon!
You guys missed a whole lot, for instant the scene where he stop the gun shots, there is no spoon and there is no gun or gunshot
Na it’s just RUclips copyrights movies when showing to much all scenes didn’t make it to the RUclips edit everything is on Patreon though
Which pill?

Or the sleeping pill?
Can ya'll watch Blade 1998 ?.... make it 50 minute video also ?
