That alligator clip and red handled scissors are both used in the telecommunications industry. The small "bed of nails" (on the clip) is used to pierce the insulation of the thin cross connect wire and the large spike was used for the old style single pair drop wires. The old drop wires had a thick rubber sheath and we used the spike to test drops without taking anything apart. The scissors (shears we call them) we use for fiber optic ribbons. They make really clean cuts which is necessary for the optics to work right. Just thought you might find that a bit interesting. Always like your videos, keep them coming.
Wow! I've always wondered what semi-pro/avid RC hobby folks have & bring to the track. Very impressive. I bring very bare minimum; couple spare parts & common tools. I love the levels of this hobby 😀
One of my favorite mods is to take the Protk radio case foam and cut out a slot that will fit the iCharger too. A guy I know fits his radio, the bigger iCharger and some other small items all in the padded protek case.
If you take a large zip tie and put it around your ride height gauge you can use it for a handle. Makes it easier to use when working on the low riders.
I find the best ride height gauge is the mugen aluminium one, you drop the car, hold the measuring arm down then it rises up and hits the chassis and you can check the ride height instead of setting it before sliding under the car
Soo awesome. Just been getting into SC racing and been loving all your videos. Super informative and interesting. Thanks for helping us out with your content.
Great video bro👍🏼👍🏼!!! I love tools and have many so I'm into this kinda stuff! Great set up when you go club racing and nice tools!!! Would you happen to have a part # for your Meckita driver?
Thanks for the video, could you please do a video on the future of the sport, keeping in mind the economy - is it growing or fading? Why aren't there more spectators at these races? They seem very exciting, it's a shame this isn't more popular and/or televised (on cable at least).
Jason, I see you use liquid wrench for tire sauce. Is that for a high bite clay surface? Im using a tire sauce purpose made for rc on a high bite clay track. With liquid wrench, do you allow it to dry before heading out on the track or run em wet? I see theres quite a few tire sauce brands out there but not sure which one to stay with. Would be great to hear your thought on sauce!
Jason Snyder drinking game. Take a drink every time he says "stuff like that" or "actually". Guaranteed you're not walking away from the video. You're crawling or passing out. LOL. Love 'em Jason. Keep 'em coming!
Speed outfit here I come, never had any issues with screws until the last month or so, then had about 3 in 3 weeks on 3 different vehicles! I've quality drivers etc, just bad luck. Had to Dremel and pliers etc. drill through another, and Dremel the top to a groove to use with a flat head. I need a screw untapper set. My hobby shop looked at me queer when asked if they had one. The hardware shops only do big stuff😩.
Hey Jason. What was the black handled tool in your Plano tool box that you said you used when you ran a B5M, T5M platform, as I just purchased a used B5M and I'm just getting into racing - can't let my grandson have all the fun!
How do you like the makita electric driver? I'm looking to get one for my Tekno vehicles and I couldn't find any good reviews out there on RUclips. Could you elaborate more on it?
hi im looking to buy a 1/10th scale for carpet racing. i see almost 3 different versions of the b6 on amain. can you tell me which b6 to buy specifically for carpet ?
+Rafi Medina I don't have one myself but a lot of my friends have them. They look pretty trick, you don't need to recharge them too often, and they have an adjustable torque setting.
when you realise you've gone MASSIVELY ott with tools, original build kit box full of spares, soldering iron, leads, charger, box full of tyres, spare electrics, muc-off, oils, magnetic tray etc etc ... and I garentee your faster on track 😂
As an old school indoor now over 40 soon to be SC truck racer this was great to see as I now can use this to outfit my travel bag lol many thank

I took your old oil tub idea and use it for my shocks spring. I keep all my AE/Losi and Schumacher spring, One for the front and one for the rear.

Thanks for sharing your setup gave me some good ideas as I'm looking to step up my game in the pits to and from.

Hi Jason ,
Where did you get your plain white plastic set up board you use. Can you tell what material it’s made of?
