Stevie can sing anything and anyway she wants. She is magic.
Aulduron Smith Emotions
Michael Dwyer Granted, I enjoy more conversational singing too. Range can defeat a song’s message, believe it or not...
She's not magic, and she did wreck her voice from personal choices in life. But I still love this music and her. She's on tour right now with Billy Joel, and I can't wait to go to the concert.
@@jaydouglas8845 Piss off, that is the sexiest female voice of my era.
There's a reason she's the only woman elected to the RnR Hall of Fame twice. A national treasure.
Charles Day love that but tina turner should be in for her solo work too
Zan Addams I agree
Sexiest voice ever! I’m 74 and still in love with her!
My dad was in love with her too. She's great!!
No sir. She is a universal treasure.
Her voice is so soothing like a blanket wrapping around you and keeping you warm and safe. Only Stevie has a voice like that. One in a million.
Thankfully. I'll take Christine McVie on Over My Head or You Make Loving Fun anytime over Stevie Nicks
Guys to me both of them are talented especially LB their voice r unique but SN & LB have a special chemistry that is forevermore
@@1cdrsubkiller Lol. Christine is good but thankfully, I understand the depth of Stevie voice and her uncanny ability to touch her fans.
@@virginiaa4445 Stevie Nicks is Macs best singer songwriter.
This song is a masterpiece. Stevie's best.
I like all her songs
Anyone complaining about Stevie, send them my way. I’ll slap the sense back into them, Stevie Nicks is a national treasure.
Absolutele agree and synched up woth you. I dont celebrate my own birthday but I celebrate her every May 26th. Love love Love & ADORE her
I can’t agree with you because I’m not fro USA. But i can say Stevie Nicks is my favourite female vocalist of all time from any genre.
Christine mcvie is 10 times the singer Stevie Nicks is. That vibrato and flat voice is good on a few songs but I don't think she's even in the top 10 female vocalists.
@@1cdrsubkiller she was the pretty one. Christine was the talented one. Although I think Christine was probably starting lots of the drama in the band.
I got your back too Lodogg, we can tag team the delusional sumbitches!
Stevie Nicks is one of the greatest vocalists ever. She is legend. Stevie doesn't sing like anybody else and nobody else could sing like her.
Stevie sings like stevie and no one else comes close ❤
HUGE Stevie Nicks fan here. Been a fan since the first time I heard Stevie's voice on the Buckingham Nicks album back in 1973. After 47 years of religiously listening to Stevie and Fleetwood Mac, you've given me a whole new refreshing appreciation and love for her music and more importantly, her voice. That was not only enlightening but really fun to watch. Thank you! Would love to hear what you think of her younger (& higher) voice singing Landslide from 1975.
Believe it or not, she is singing in the exact same key here as the 1975 album version. Her tone is completely different tho.
Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon Live 1976 is the way to go...
This
I like the one on the Dance album
Of course, "Wouldn't you love to love her?" was a silly question.
Stevie Nicks voice is so epic. Your reaction was so fun to watch.
This recording is a song all its own. Stevie's voice is so different than it was when they first recorded this that it doesn't even feel like the same song. I got to see her perform this in Dublin last year. Every phone was away, every couple was hugging, it was a beautiful moment. But even that felt different from listening to this recording.
This is without exception the greatest musical recording I have ever heard in my life. This is the song that taught me how good a live performance can be.
This is a feeling no one can ever take away from you.
I love that you got weepy hearing Stevie sing this song. I cry every time I hear her sing it. Her voice and lyrics do something to my soul. She's magical.
Her voice has a quality that makes a legend. Something that can't be taught.
Stevie is hands down my favorite artist - her voice and music are just so enthralling. I also really enjoyed your reaction to this song and glad that her music brings you warmth.
When she looked at Lindsey as she was singing that line... Damn
Landslide is about her relationship with Lindsey.
Yeah, I agree. They have a real love hate relationship. They love to hate each other - and hate to love each other 😊
@@sasha3432 No it's about her relationship with her dad. In the beginning just before she started singing she said "This is for you daddy"
@@BamaMatters11 Stevie has said in interviews that this song was written about Lindsey, with some parts for her business manager father. There were lots of changes going on at that time with many repercussions for her life and career and the song reflects that. It's not as simple as one person or event, it deals with a wild ride of a life, and particularly those who impacted it the most.
@@BamaMatters11 she dedicates the song to a different person each time she performs it, it isn't actually about her dad.
Love Stevie nicks ...has a Unique voice amazing reaction thank you for your reactions and for keeping us entertained at home and for helping us to deal with this
Stevie is simply the best. Simply AWESOME !!!!! ❤️
Must mention Linsey Buckingham on guitar. One of the best guitar players around.
Indeed.
Absolutelyl.
They had to get *two* guitarists just to replace him, didn't they?
I seem to remember something about that. That's pretty hardcore
And completely self taught, he's never had any lessons
I never noticed before how he strums softer as her voice goes softer so as not to be loader than her. The chemistry between these two is epic.
Don't tell stevie that
She has an amazing voice and the guitar was amazing too
she was only in Fleetwood Mac BECAUSE of that guitarist!!! He made her career ... she was not the best singer of the day .. she cannot compare to Mama Katz or Grace Slick as actual singers
She wrote this song at a time in her life when she was considering giving up on pursuing music. I think that adds an incredible element to the song.
@mad world It’s also about her relationship with Lindsey Buckingham. As she’s said that they were getting older and growing older.
A beautiful moment between Stevie and Lindsey who have had their beautiful moments and very rocky moments over the decades. I saw an interview where Stevie said she wrote this before Fleetwood Mac when she and Lindsey were the duo Buckingham Nicks and they had been dropped from their record label. She was visiting Colorado contemplating going back to study at San Jose St. University and looking out at all the mountains all she could think about were landslides and how a landslide had come down on their career. Then she began writing the song.
Beth, I think I enjoy your heartfelt, honest reaction to this as much as Stevie's wonderful song.
Nice silky smooth and soft vocals from Stevie. She definitely is comfortable singing in the lower ranges and it sounds so effortlessly.
"Well I been afraid of changin' cuz I built my life around you"
Hardly a better lyric ever written. I couldn't imagine life without my wife. I'd be lost.
That's so sweet...❤
Aaaahhh... you big softy you
Loved watching your reaction, this song always makes me cry too
One of my favorite song from one of my favorite singer.
MY GIRL!! Stevie Nicks ❣️
"Keep the things that make your unique" -- love it!! You are so amazing, fun to watch, and I learn so much from you!!!1
Stevie's voice is amazing, she is tru the total package !! But that being said Christine McVies voice was so amazing too. So rare to have a band with such amazing sound.
Stevie’s music has saved my life. Many times. I’ve seen her twice in concert as a solo artist and I consider those some of the best times of my life. This makes me cry every time.
So beautiful to watch your reaction I cried.
Makes me so happy that so much of the music I have loved much of my life can bring you to tears.
Lovely choice. Stevie is unique and her songs are top shelf. Thank u!!!
I weep with you Beth. I love the way you feel things first and then analyze them.
She has such a distinctive voice, and singing highly personal lyrics which she wrote herself... she just makes this song her own. You're getting the real Stevie, straight from the soul here- 100% genuine. What more can an artist possibly give, than their whole self to the audience like this? It's very moving.
I love how you have covered so many of my favorite bands already, and learning how they do what they do is just amazing! I may not be able to sing, but I would like to one day. And I would like to thank you for helping to inspire me!
In any case, I would love to see you cover; Off With Her Head: Icon For Hire
I never thought I would enjoy an instructional video so much!! I lost track of time watching this 😁😁😁💚💛
I absolutely loved this. Brilliant critique.
Such a beautiful version with he ex. I know they have had differences recently but as a moment in time, this is pure magic!
I want to thank you Beth for your insights...
Have seen Stevie solo 7xs and with Mac another 3xs. NEVER a bad show!!! Soothing voice on this one.. Christine (R.I.P) and Stevie , UNCOMPAREABLE!!
I hope when I go to heaven Stevie is one of the angels singing
Stevie knicks is a legend love love fleetwood mac xxx
Great song! Sweet voice! Love Stevie 😍 tks Roars 😙
By far my favorite live version of this song. Great review!
Damn, so happy this popped up in my timeline. Great videos
Amazing some of the music Stevie and Lindsey put together.
Ahhhhh one of my favorite songs ever!! 💙💙💙💙
Stevie Nicks is and has always been outstanding. One of the greatest voices in music history. And Fleetwood Mac are probably my favourite band. As i got older i appreciate their music more. 20 years ago i wouldn't give it the light of day. No idea why i was like that. I was so unaware back then of what true talent is.
love this song by so many people
This reminds me of my mom too. Love love Stevie Nicks. 🙂
One of my all time favorite singers
Yes... one of the most lovely mc songs. Like a parent feeling in the silent night with his baby...
I love anything Stevie sings same with you Beth keep roaring
Another great reaction ❤
I loved this so much!!! I just subscribed:)
Beth,
I had the honor of seeing Fleetwood-Mac back in the 1970's. They put on a wonderful show. I must confess I was star struck by Miss Stevie. Fell crazy in love with her,
Not aware she ever got flack. As a teen in the 70’s, she was considered by most of us as a goddess. Was not even my taste, but she was a standout.
There was a radio program Stevie or Goat where they either played an excerpt of Stevie or a goat. You had to guess which it was. It was difficult.
I find her singing in those days good. Nowadays not so.
Geoff Simpkins in high school my friends used to give me flack about liking Stevie nicks , when she went solo especially, said her voice annoyed them , I liked her voice thought it was different
My dad never liked Stevie's voice. For the life of me, I don't understand why anyone wouldn't?
Lots of die hard original Fleetwood Mac fans hate her because it wasn’t the original blues band
@@melaniekaweck3433 Really? That's insane. Peter Green was a great loss but was cruelly beset by mental health challenges. Jeremy Spencer was and is a deluded little narcissist who dumped the band mid-tour to join a cult where he could be the big celebrity fish in a small pond. The Buckingham/Nicks/MacVie era was the sweet spot, in my opinion. I don't know if you agree.
Fantastic song!
Beth,
This is one of my favorite artists by far. I saw Stevie back in the 1970's when Fleetwood Mac puts on a show in Morgantown, West Virginia. I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please continue to react to music. Also stay healthy and safe.
roar love it!!
I love Stevie Nicks' voice. Heard her recently on the Sound City album. Amazing!
Stevie Nicks is in my top three female vocalists. Being a woman with a lower pitch, finding a song I can belt to is a treasure. 🫶🏻
Stevie Nicks is an amazing songwriter and has an unique voice!Royalty of Rock!Love her!
Beautiful voice.
Stevie is so great. anyone who does not like her music should have their head examined.
Her voice soothes my soul 🎶🎤🎩
I love Fleetwood Mac! You should react to The Chain from their 1982 Mirage tour...a younger and much wilder version of the band, haha
Oohhh The harmonics in it! Yeah!
She's sounds amazing and she has to be close to 50 years old here. Her voice had so many different textures and sounds throughout her career! Check out her older stuff if you haven't !
Top 5 American female vocalist and number one in recognizable voice! Stevie is a beast!
I had the honor of seeing this group back in the 1970's. Stevie was one of my musical crushes. Her voice is special. You know it is Stevie singing with the very first note. Love her!
Totally agree about the emotion in this song. I' not a big Fleetwood Mac fan, and yet this is one of my all time favorite songs, because of that emotional content. There are so many people from my past that this song reminds me of.
I find beth roars smile so infectious
One of the most iconic and greatest female voices of all time..Stevie Nicks could sing anything and with her voice and talent it'd probably sound amazing and magical and timeless
FLEETWOOD MAC / STEVIE NICKS / INCREDIBLE VOICE / BIG RESPECT ...
Beautiful.
Giving me all the feels... Missing my Dad today. Semper Fi Papa
Beautiful! The song is good too.
Love this song. Give after the glitter fades a listen
I love this song
this song is one of a handful that make my hairs stand up and bring a lump to my throat - it's incredible.
Love Stevie! What separates her is that distinct low nasally rasp, in her voice. That is Hers, she owns it. You nailed it by mentioning, it's warmth! What a gift Lyndsey and Stevie were to the already powerful Fleetwood Mac. Great collaboration all around. Thanks Beth!! This "The Dance DVD is highly recommended watch/listen!!
Goosebumps since I was a kid in the 1970’s to this day, bravo.
I still love the version on the live album from the Tusk tour. Gorgeous!
Would love to have you do more Fleetwood Mac!
Excellent review..Stevie Nicks voice has changed over the years...Still love her classics..
i love stevie nicks and i love u!
When you can write like Stevie Nicks, she can sing it like no one else could. Lindsey is incredible as well.
you make me roar Beth
You are the source that really tells us about the quality of their vocals. Some do a good job with analyzing the instruments. Others try to figure out the lyrics which is usually not all that important. The lyrics are usually part of the context of when the song came out. Your reactions are much more expert.
I had the honor of seeing Fleetwood Mac back in the 1970s. Stevie is wonderful. The first woman of rock that I fell in love with. This song and performance are wonderful...
Thank you for doing Fleetwood mac. You really should do some of her early recordings. Her grandfather was a country singer and she is from the southern U.S. so her diction has that country slang. Love it! Love Stevie
She's from Phoenix and moved to Ca fairly young.
I have a name for what happened to you at 4:15- I call it going to Stevie-land and it is the best feeling in the world! 🤗 She truly is the patron sent of those who value the journey over the result, the feeling over the technique; the dreamers and moonchildren... and the singing tips really helped, Stevie is my favourite artist to cover but I have always found Landslide hits that ‘awkward’ spot for me where my voice just conks out. You’re awesome, and you have a new subscriber now! ☺️🌙
This song is so special to me. It’s mine and my mum’s song and I have some of the lyrics tattooed on my shoulder in my mum’s handwriting. It was super special being able to take my mum to see Fleetwood Mac in concert a few years ago. It wasn’t my first time, but it meant a lot that my mum got to see them perform magic.
This song just is 😍🌈
Just Amazing......
QUEEN!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼👸🏼
Stevies voice is a feeling. Its not about notes and range. Its something intangible.
Such a uniquely beautiful voice- one of a kind. And let's give her credit for her age- gotta be late 40's, early 50's. Legendary.
My favorite song.
I love her.
