You can't have too many Telecasters. Like you, I used a belt sander to contour my red Tele, front and back. It was sunburst at the time, so I resprayed it red afterwards. I then bought a Squier Jim Root Tele, which only has a belly cut, and in fact, that's all you need. No forearm contour required.
To answer your question. A true Telecaster fan as I am. Will always be short of « one » Telecaster in his collection of guitars. And that one is simply the next one…
