Two things y’all! Admittedly- the footage at the end wasn't the best for showing obvious signs of the techniques I talked about (WAIT DON'T STOP READING YET!), but you can definitely see the heavy revolver shots and consistent status effects being applied to the pile o' bad guys. Second, stun grenade doesn’t count towards deathmark. Whoops. It’s good for him otherwise though!
Your videos are great and I didn't want to be THAT guy so I'm glad you addressed it with the flash bangs! Subscribed and looking forward to more stuff!
You forgot the part to not suck at aiming. Every so often I become blind for some reason and can no longer fly with the stealth bomb and lights out. RIP god runs.
Its also a good AOE option cause it damages and stuns enemies nearby. Stack 2 hardlight after burners and bandoliers and you can probably go for hours without even taking a single hit.
From the book of Providence, 14:27: “And the lucky one shall unleash the lead, several times, unto the creations of my brother. And I will say unto him in unison, *BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM* “
Couple of other tips that this video didn't feature 1: Your shift can effectively be used as two extra jumps, as you get a little hop upon using smoke bombs and coming out of your invisibilty. Be sure to use it. 2: Shatterspleen. Take it. Every chance. Bleed on Crits with the character with a guarunteed way to get crits, need I say anything else. This to you is like Bustling Fungus to an Engineer. It's like Soldier's Syringes to Commando and Captain. Just take it without question because you will always be able to abuse it to it's full potential. 3: The Alternative for Bandits revolver, which is Desperado, is also a fun choice. Deals more damage the more kills you get with it. Farm up your initial stacks of damage on wisps, about 20 stacks is pretty nice then go get that free crit to start with on the boss with that. That chunk of damage would make an Artificer proud, especially if you have either of the bands, some crowbars, and an atg proc if you're lucky too. Even without all those, it's nothing to really scoff at. 4: Predatory Instincts, also really good. Increased fire speed on crit, and guess what, you can get 100% crits if you stand behind something and shoot it.
Yeah he sneaks up, penetrates enemies (causing bleeding, oh dear), then blows his entire load into their rear. This is now the only way I'll describe bandit from now on.
You can also fly with bandit. If you find a bunch of lesser wisps, jump and shift. Then use the revolver- this kills a wisp and gives you a small boost higher into the air. Assuming you got the kill, you can pop shift again and repeat the process, allowing you to literally fly. On top of that, the sword/ daggers allow you to ignore fall damage if you time them right.
Great video, but you forgot the one item to stack just all of if you find a printer just just print a whole bunch of crowbars because the ability to one shot anything on top of reducing all of your cooldowns to zero is fairly strong
Nice video, except when mentioning procs you said that the burst has 5x proccing potential over the blast, which doesn't take into account the 0.5 proc coefficient of burst. Burst only has 2.5x more proccing potential than blast (also blast's higher damage percentage makes the on-hits do more damage).
Nice work man! I do hope this hobby of your's turns into something amazing! I do recommend adjusting to a bit of additional content for Risk of Rain 2 or outside of it incase of burnout of a particular content or on Risk of Rain 2. If you don't want to be burned out, I may suggest sort of getting into the loop of taking breaks when you're starting to get tired of the game, even if the breaks are short, long, however long you need, Other than that, I wish the best of luck to you!
Aww, you’re sweet Grimlock, thank you. ^^ I’ll take care of myself, no worries! I’ve got a couple fun ideas floating around if I want to take a break from character tutorials.
I know! They’re a lot of fun to do, but require master of the characters. Truth be told, I’m only confident teaching the existing three so far! That said, I have a feeling that might change with these new survivors… they look like a ton of fun.
Another neat thing: bandit's aerial mobility is pretty darn good. Entering and leaving smoke bomb both act as a small jump in the air, you gain a speed boost during smoke bomb, and the dagger skills are both agile and interrupt aerial momentum. As a result, fall damage is a non-issue and you can cross huge gaps with relatively few mobility items.
This is just what I recommend to beginners! I can’t really tell which I like better between desperado and lights out. It would have taken too much airtime anyway unfortunately. Glad you like it otherwise. ^^
I haven't played all that much RoR2, only about 50 hours, but just before watching this video I was reminded of why you don't bring shaped glass to the moon. The hard way. As in faceplanting on the ground, dead, during phase 3 of Mithrix. That intro only made my point. Won't make that mistake again.
Hahahahahaha, the risk is only worth the reward when you’ve got enough glass stacked. Under a certain amount, there’s no chance of getting that freakin unlock!
I take the serrated dagger because it allows a bit extra mobility cos it helps prevent fall damage when his shift isn’t available. And with bandit you’re already playing close to the enemies as you want that crit from behind.
Bandit is my personal favorite character, so I'll add a bit to this. Smoke bomb deals damage 4 times, 2 on activation, and 2 at the end. If you're running his other revolver Desparado, getting Bandoliers early can help getting faster damage tokens. If you happen to pick up the ammo right before Despatado comes back, it remembers the rest of the cool down, almost as if it's Lights out instead
so there is a pro to using the normal secondary over the alt and its because you can hit multiple targets therefore yo ucan bleed a entire crowd if you're posisoned well enough
Also another thing would add even if it like 8 months late, I would say to take the melee version since you'll be lacking aoe in the early game and it works pretty well with gasoline in the early game as well for more aoe which is what this character is lacking.
Brilliant video again, though I don't think you mentioned some other really good stuff bandit can make put in work. Like how backup mag is good with Lights Out because it resets ALL stacks for big hemorrhage numbers (you probably meant this but it wasn't explicit) And how good standard procs like Ukulele and AtG are, although maybe that goes without saying And especially, even though it doesn't really add a lot because you can't play towards it, seeing you get hype over how utterly broken shatterspleen bandit is would be beautiful - probably the strongest a single item can make any character.
very curious to know how much more damage that capacitor wouldve done with judgment debuff on mithrix in that first clip btw stun grenade doesnt count as a debuff for deathmark unfortunately. it def should tho
I knowwwww, I’m PO’d that I made such a careless mistake. -_- That said, it’s still a good item for him otherwise. The capacitor would have totally slain Mithrix. I had 20 of both crowbars and AP rounds, 10 glasses, and broken glass. Using the revolver, that can one-shot him on his FINAL stage, but not the first apparently. the reaction was very real
Desperado is better than lights out. If you stack bandoliers and get up close and personal, you will be able to one shot the boss by the end of the stage without worrying about resetting your skills with lights out. Pair that with sharktooth necklace, willow the whisp, and forgive me please you can throw down a bomb that heals you and resets your cool downs. Extremely useful and inb4 "muh rng". Just use artifact of command, its more fun and I play the game to have fun, and not get pissed off cause the rng fucked me over with chronobaubles and flash bangs with the 3d printers only giving me mushrooms.

Aww you’re too kind! I’m glad you liked it. ^^
Only thing I would add is that his shift can be used as two extra jumps, it's vital to his mobility imo!
Its also a good AOE option cause it damages and stuns enemies nearby.

The words of the gods were spoken this day, and they were “BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM.” Amen
From the book of Providence, 14:27:
“And the lucky one shall unleash the lead, several times, unto the creations of my brother. And I will say unto him in unison, *BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM* “
When you really think about it wisps are just sentient clay pigeons anyway, they were practically made for bandit to curb stomp them
Couple of other tips that this video didn't feature
1: Your shift can effectively be used as two extra jumps, as you get a little hop upon using smoke bombs and coming out of your invisibilty. Be sure to use it.

These are really good! Thank you for sharing with us. ^^
The intro was great and I love your style. Fast paced, to the point and funny.
i was originally trying to remake the one-shot achievement
words could not describe how immeasurable my disappointment was
predatory instincts are also amazing on bandit, as the increased attack speed also lowers bandit's reload time in between rounds
bandit gaming
When you said "Bandit works up close, blowing his entire loaded gun," I was severely confused until i heard "-ed gun"
Yeah he sneaks up, penetrates enemies (causing bleeding, oh dear), then blows his entire load into their rear. This is now the only way I'll describe bandit from now on.
