To maximize the fall damage on mithrix's first and third stages, jump over him right as he reaches the ramp. He will shoulder charge and end up lunging upwards trying to hit you. I'm done playing this game solo. Once I finally got to the last boss, when I found out there was a next phase AFTER the mobs one I was like: Imma go back to Elden Ring to de-stress lmao
13:49 While Mithrix will stop you from hitting him with singular, telegraphed projectiles like the Orbital Strike, it does NOT make him *completely* immune to projectiles. Spamming projectiles at him can open a window for large amounts of damage. Example: I had a run where I was playing Captain, and I had moderate enough attack speed so I wasn't deleting everything instantly. I had pocketed a Preon Accumulator earlier in the run, but since it was a projectile, using it while he still had Defensive Microbots would have been a waste of an equipment charge. However, since Defensive Microbots has an internal cooldown of .5s between projectiles deleted, I got close to Mithrix, activated my Preon Accumulator (it has to charge for ~3 seconds before firing), and right before the Preon went off, used all three of my Orbital Strikes. This caused Mithrix's stolen Microbots to target the Orbital Strikes, leaving the Microbots stuck in the .5s cooldown while the Preon hit the ground right next to him, killing him instantly.
Note: This can work the other way around, but you have to be a bit more clever with the timing. Orbital Strike can easily wipe him out if you have an equipment like the Missile Launcher, but placing Orbital Strikes too close will cause the Microbots to target the Orbital Strike projectile, as the Microbots prioritize deleting projectiles closest to the player.
@@Barely_Edited I was playing as rex, with a tonic, and even after Mithrix took the fuel cells, I still had my extra charges I dunno unless it was patched out, I suggest to test it out yourself

I personally find that taking a transcendence from one of the lunar pods before fight is a really good idea, as except for his gun, normally you aren't taking any damage, so if you mess up and get slammed or something, you're back up to full faster. The same is true for cautious slugs
There is the middle phase, and the ranged chimeras a very dangerous if they get their hits off. If you lack the damage needed to melt them... you'll get erased. So if you're doing this, imo, make sure you have relatively high damage.
Fun secret to the fight which I found out recently: if you managed to get grab a certain golden guardian’s item, in the final phase, he will assist you during the fight and most likely kick Mithrix’s ass. It also gets additional dialogue showing disbelief and fear
I learned this the hard way, i had 2000 health and could survive the hammer slam and so I assumed that I would be fine then I ran out of jumps and got hit by the waves and instantly-602
Was on phase 2 and got caught by one unfortunately. 1300 hp mul-t gone just like that. Twas my first attempt at the mithrix fight and that hurt. Imma get his ass tho
Tangling Growth will root Mithrix and interrupt his attack cycle on all phases. Given it has almost no downtime, it makes REX rather effective against him.
My friends and I looked for the primordial portal for over an hour yesterday... finally to realize the update hasn't dropped on console yet 😤😫 Still great video Woolie and will help us a ton when it does drop
If you go to him while having Artifact of Swarms on, there will indeed be 2 mithrixes. It's the real ending since you reunited him with his brother! (and then killed them both)
Tip for Mithtrix: His biggest weakness is... himself. Seriously. Try Swarms with Chaos and watch them tear each other apart. (You do have to make them aggro on each other first.) Also Vengeance Clones are deleted when you begin the fight.
Dig the video, do you have any specific tips on dealing with Mithrix as Mercenary? I'm starting up Eclipse with him, and I usually give Mithrix a wide berth, which isn't so viable on Merc.
Monsoon = insta kills. God combined with the terrible level design prior (you literally CANNOT escape if you're playing as certain survivors and don't have jump items), and this fight being long, tedious, and way too punishing for screwing up... Yeah. This update sucked. Atleast captain was cool though
Woolie, I love these videos and I love the streams, but you have missed some engineer related info once again. Mithrix DOES have a way to activate on kill effects- if he kills your turrets. Don't stand too close to your turrets. Similarly, if Mithrix gets any ukeleles, don't stay close enough to your turrets for the attacks to chain.
Amazinga. Great video, Woolie. Just what I needed to help me out on eclipse with my main man Commando. There is actually one thing that wasn't mentioned in the Advanced Tips section and that's the power of a scrapper + good 3d printer. If you are lucky enough to find a scrapper and a good printer on the same stage 1-2 stages before you head to Commencement, after you do the teleporter scrap the item you want to print to reset its place in the item bar so it's at the end, and so you'll get it back sooner against Mithrix (King of Nothing) even if it's just a couple stacks of it. This may seem kinda niche, but I've found that it works rather well for me. Even if you don't get this opportunity most runs, it is essential to always keep this in mind because getting good items back during phase 4 can almost trivialize the rest of the phase. Obviously look out for crit, bleed, AP rounds, etc. This tech has definitely secured me many wins in the last phase after the September patch. I also find that OWSK's are really nice to take, especially if you don't already have one and find it 1-2 stages before hand, or even on soup island. They drop agro and can buy you essential time during all phases.
IDK if many people will see this comment, but I wanna try and get some important observations I've found out into the public. First (because this is just a quick tip) when Mithrix begins using his orbs in phase 4 and you're on the ground with him like the go gamer you are :| then strafe around him in a COUNTERclockwise direction. It did not seem to be mentioned how the orbs always rotate counter clockwise (going out twice and disappearing on the outer edges of the arena after), so running in a clockwise direction is less than suboptimal because you can and will be blindsided by said "crit ice band proc." So, going the direction where you can see them is probably your best bet. Second, his dashes are very interesting in the way his cooldowns work. From my observations, you can think of them like survivor abilities, 2 dashes for movement, and one dash SWIPE. The 2 movement dashes are used for the diagonal dash combo, back dashing, general movement, and combo-dashing (where he dashes straight forward and then dash swipes after). When he swings his hammer after a dash, this seems to be on a different cooldown than other dashes, as he can use it after exhausting his 2 dashes. Usually, it's hard to count his dashes, and I haven't figured out the exactly cooldown. Though, he does have a general attack combo which is the diagonal dash-dash swipe, then a dash slam. After the dash slam he'll probably have at least one dash back, and usually dashes out of the slam position once finished. However, if he does 2 lateral dashes in rapid succession without dash SWIPING, it can be safe to assume his next attack will be a single dash swipe. Despite this, his dashes still manage to be very unpredictable at many points during the fight. Again, this is all purely observational, and I need to do some more testing to confirm this. However, this seems to be the case and works for me rather well when I can notice it. Hope these tips are helpful!
Holy crap! Thank you! this was so well explained and helped me out a lot since I started playing again on counsel because I played this way back when and forgot everything I knew back then. Please keep up the great work
You know, I play on the switch version of risk of rain 2 and mithrix and I'm not sure if its a bug or not but, instead of landing in the center of the arena, he tries to land on you goomba style which took me off guard the first time and completely obliterated me.
thanks for all your guides, I am new to the game and I already can consistently get to mitrix....but I also consistently get my ass kicked :D but man, this game, its a masterpiece
something to remember: mythrix dashes cancel his recovery animation, his "second dash" with the hammer swing is an ability. the main dash has 2 charges. the hammer smash is the slowest and the recovery can only be canceled after he has hit.
I’ve put 100 hours into ROR2 and used many of your videos as a resource and still learned a few things in this video. Thx for all the dedication and videos my guy!
Ive never beat mithrix because I'm always too powerful when he takes my items I instantly die, many reds, 100% chance to kill non-boss and max bleed and everything. I need to do a more traditional run so I don't overpower mithrix by the time I get there.
In my experience with mithrix (I have eclipse 3 or higher on all survivors) the most dangerous attacks are the slam and the phase 3 line attack, the line does INSANE damage, I was playing commando, had glass and a aegis setup, totaling in 1100 hp, and got ONE SHOT by it btw VERY IMPORTANT: if you are using tonic, it's very strange and ruins everything at phase 4, I had a tonic (and was looping for meme reasons) but when I got to mithrix, he took my stuff and left me with 478 stacks of tonic affliction, it happened to me twice and it left me very salty, so please note that
I find taking a preon before the fight is your best bet as the beams from the shot can easily give you at least 5-6 of your items back before chunking his hp, if not outright killing him because of the damage
Before the 1.0 patch, he can be damaged while taking your items. Every Mithrix run I bought a Preon with 3D printed fuel cells to blast him off while he is taking my items. I don't even know what his Phase 4 looked like, until they fixed it in the patch.
You said he can't proc on kill effects... but that isn't entirely true. Solo it is hard, but certain survivors can, certain items can summon minions on your position, and of course having friends. This sounds minor... but having INSANE stacks of Gasoline can kill you if a single ally dies... or if you happen to have turrets. I'm pretty sure his melee can 1-shot the turrets which hurts if you have big AOE. Do not underestimate this. (This was on a mod where it multiplied items x3, used command to get a good build... and well lets say it was certain death if he killed anything.)
is tesla coil as much a killer when mithrix takes it as people like to say, and if so or not, are there any excedingly dangerous items to avoid getting if you plan to fight mithrix
You might also want to avoid getting too much repulsion armor. You will deal less damage on him on top of your weak attack on Phase 4. I realized this when it took me forever to get the items because I barely damaged him
I was fighting him earlier on commando, and when he took all my items, a bunch of air dudes spawned AND the timer started, even though he was alive...pretty sure that's a glitch? Great vid, thanks man!
I'm watching this guide after I got one shot by what I think It was weakened Mythrix needles, on my first attempt at fighting mythrix ever and the first time I got 4 loops in a run, trying to get the "Commando: Incorruptible". I am in immense pain.
I just beat Mithrix on monsoon for the first time yesterday, I really could've used this video! He's so cheese-able though, as I have now learned. Royal capacitor is the real OG for the final phase! I also found transcendence to be pretty helpful because I could tank one shot of his phase 2 windmill blast things.
I've killed him on monsoon numerous times, but I still dislike this boss fight to the extent that it has caused me to lose interest in the game. I REALLY hope it gets reworked in future updates. I have more hours in RoR2 than any other title on Steam, have everything unlocked (irradiant pearl included), and had an awesome time completing MAAO and other challenges, BUT eclipse doesn't even appeal to me because this encounter has been so unfun in my experience. Even beating him doesn't feel good; I just dread going to the moon. The level reflects some of the worst design elements in the game imo. The visuals are bland, and both getting to and fighting Mithrix just feels tedious to me. Even the character design of Mithrix himself doesn't evoke much in terms of final boss vibes. He's just a plain, grey dude with a funny shaped head and a big hammer. The hammer is cool though. Plus, having certain runs punished by RNG not granting access to a scrapper is just a kick in the knackers. I have mad love for Hopoo, and admire the genius and accomplishment of this game so I don't levy these criticisms with any sort of disrespect. I'm excited to see what the future holds with the addition of new talent to the team, but again, I REALLY hope this boss/stage isn't something that feels finished to them. I can't imagine I am alone in feeling this way, but maybe I am.
Used the Huntress to beat him, had the ability to dash 3x small times, and that was my only save and grace for the whole fight. If I got hit once I would be dead, it was a nightmare. Not nearly enough damage.
60 minutes of playtime on a monsoon run as mercenary, got mythrix to the final phase when he took my unstable Tesla coil and insta killed me with it… Kinda fucking stupid that there’s legitimately no way to beat him with that item as mercenary since all you’re abilities require you to be close. Guess I won’t be picking up that item anymore.
I just lost a three hour run to Mithrix stealing my insane build wich I didn’t know he did but like how am I supposed to beat him with no items like it was 4 frames then I was dead
Might be useful to mark this as partially outdated. The way to get to Mitrix has been changed, the order in which he gives the items back is flipped now, etc. Attack patterns are very informative though. Love the content, mr streamer.
24:24 That's actually not quite right from what I've experienced. I think that has more to do with the distance between you and Mithrix, I think you only see that after the slam because you tend to fight very close
Useful item for stage 4: shaped glass. This will lower his health so you can kill him faster. I had a few shaped glass and he died in a few royal capacitor strikes. Bad item for stage 4: queens gland. My friend is obsessed with beetle guards and always gets this item in mass quantities. I was loader with no range and my friends character died. I was forced to do melee attacks and the beetle guards body blocked me often and caused my demise by preventing me from escaping.
Yeah, one time I was playing acrid and I found myself high up in the air near one of the ramps. Mythrix comes running up, SHOULDER CHARGES INTO the ramp, and comes FLYING AT ME with his hammer, KILLING ME INSTANTLY. My guy learned how to fucking trimp.
I beat Mithrix on my second run ever while playing huntress and my first run I made it to him and got one shot because I thought I could out heal him in his 2nd phase hammer strike
It seems to me that using hopoo feathers to stay up in the air when he's using the lines attack allows to avoid them entirely. This seems worth mentioning. (or maybe I'm wrong and I just got lucky)
I didn't see this anywhere in the comments, so I'll drop this here: If you're on phase 3, the triangle attack Mithrix uses can't hurt you if you're on the back of the ramps (as stated), and while enemy spawns are still an issue, you can, provided you have enough jumping or a utility skill ready, get up on the pillars and keep yourself distanced from him if needed. Do note that while on the pillars, you will want to jump as he can land one of the blasts on you if you're close enough, despite being pretty high up. These areas do allow you to still damage him if you have a ranged attack as unlike the beginning and end of his dive, he has no immunities to damage. Another fun fact I found is Artificer can fully interrupt this attack by freezing him or lock him into it depending on when you froze him. These aren't the best strats, but they've helped me on some occasions when dealing with him on runs I didn't have much luck with.
I had a 41 stage Monsoon run today, and I chose to end at Mithrix. As you could expect, phase 4 was... Not hard at all. Even with all of my items giving him guaranteed crit, insane attack speed from 37 soldiers syringes, and 21 goat hooves for speed, he wasn't that hard to kill. You just need to be patient. Considering the final challenge of the moon detonation is easy that late into the game, there is not a single reason you would need to go fast against phase 4. If you're a ranged character chill out on one of the platforms, hang back, wait for an opening, and shoot him (preferably with something strong like ballista shots or REX right click (none of his attacks hit you if you're on the platforms so you can just wait for the ballista/other ability to recharge then peak out and use it)). If you're a melee character, it is much harder, but Acrid can use his right click and R, Merc can eviscerate at opportune times (be sure to get a general sense for when he stops and starts shooting), Loader is Loader, and all of them can use a Capacitor whenever it comes off of cooldown. While I don't see it said much after the nerfs, I still think a lot of people overhype how hard phase 4 is. Don't get me wrong, it is hard, but its literally the final challenge of the final boss. If you were able to loop enough to think he has too many items, I think you have enough skill to somehow overcome this obstacle. Also Woolie, something you forgot to mention is to not get distracted by the radical guitar and amazing synth from the fights theme. Luckily the run to the boss is long enough you can loose yourself in the electric guitar of the area theme.
According to the wiki, Mithrix has adaptive armor that activates whenever he takes damage and reduces damage dealt to him based on the percentage of health he lost. If this is the case, I'm not exactly clear on how that works, like whether it refreshes and changes the damage reduction with every instance of damage that he takes. Or maybe it only triggers at a certain threshold of damage, to curtail your ability to burst him down. Also I was wondering: does the difficulty scaling over time affect Mithrix in any way? Aside from him being able to steal more items from you during phase four that is.
When Mithrix takes your items, he will ALSO use your items that recruits allies. So He basically turned your allies against you, making the final phase much MUCH tougher than it looks
As a Captain player, your microbots can delete his, "ground ripples." Also, if you're using a healing zone, place it where you'll always have semi-easy access to it. I use two, and put one on each side of the arena.
A couple of my friends recently picked up RoR2. We've been playing a lot, but struggling with phase 2 of the Mithrix fight. I didn't notice there was a pattern as to when triangles would occur. That's the move that always kills us. Moral of the comment, Great guide Mr Streamer!
One thing that is important to note is to scrap items you know you wont need for his fight on Sky Meadows. I've seen in quite a few runs that at least 1 Scrapper always spawns on this stage, so you should use it to get rid of any items you know won't be good for the final fight. Here's a list of the ones that make sense to get rid of: IMPORTANT: If you have 3 or more Medkits/Slugs, last phase Mithrix will be significantly harder if you have no way to continually keep up the damage (same argument goes for Transcendence). I would suggest picking up no more than a single stack of these. Fungus, Leeching Seed and Scythe are the only healing sources that won't backfire so you can take as many as you like. White - Topaz, Monster Tooth, Warbanner, Stun Grenade, Gasoline, Fireworks, Meat, Keys, Focus Crystal (unless you're melee). I prefer to get rid of PSG as well because it's a lot easier to heal to max health, and thus keep OSP ( if you're running Transcendence then keep them) Green - Ukulele, Will of the Wisp, Berzerker Pauldron, Old Guillotine, Lepton Daisy, Ghor's Tome, Squid Polyps, Bandolier. I would personally say Razorwire, as it's primary function is to get rid of smaller enemies or take advantage of a bleed/burn debuff to deal a decent amount of damage, which are both absent in the last fight. Another one would be Death Mark unless you can procc it fairly consistently. Red - Tesla Coil if you're melee, If you do feel like you have enough damage to defeat Mithrix even with a bunch of Medkits, stay away from Rejuvenation Rack and/or N'Kuhana. I had a great Eclipse Merc run ended on the last phase when my 3 Medkits healed Mithrix and the N'Kuhana skulls killed me instantly. Clover could be a risky pick if you have 2+ ATGs and at least one of the bands. Boss - Genesis Loop (same reason as the purpose of Razorwire). For Lunars, I would avoid taking Shaped Glass entirely (unless you see you won't have enough damage for the first 3 phases; in that case I would suggest take it from the pods on the island before the boss arena). P.S. This was a general guide for all survivors. There is definitely specific cases where items I did not mention should be scrapped as well (attack speed items on Artificier, for example). It goes case by case with every survivor and how it fits with your playstyle. I, for example, would scrap Hopoo Feathers on Mercenary as I feel he already has enough mobility.
I’d get rid of captain’s microbots too As long as you can reliably dodge the wisp chimera you won’t need it and it will make the final phase much easier as you can use orbital strike on mithrix
This should help a ton while I try to get "The Calm." He always seems to beat me no matter what I do, so seeing a more in depth analysis of how he works helps a bunch. Thanks Woolie!
Great video dude! Have you done a video on items that are useful to take to Mitrix? I guess, a tier list of items based on Eclipse? That seems pretty useful. Keep it up man!
Great video, as always. What I'd like to see next is a focus on which items are better and worse against Mithrix, so I can be more effective when setting up my items going into the fight!

The "needler" attack is actually an attack that swaps out with mithrix's m1 (slam) while sprinting. The version in phase 4 is a DIFFERENT attack entirely that uses the same projectile. All enemies are treated as players and as such have player skills. His m2 is a dash into swing, his utility is two charges of dash, and his special is slam, i dont know how to activate triangles though.
item builds would be a nice addition. Good/bad items. Which of these would help mythrix, not you, that sorta stuff. Overall great guide, can't wait to finally defeat this fucko

@@dubleblitz The final phase of Mithrix is what I always messed up on the most so seeing that did help. On diluvian keep in mind that difficulty scales a lot faster than on Monsoon so you have to be very quick, as well as the small things that add up make it quite tricky. Best thing I can say is practice on the difficulty, and you will improve. Ive beaten Syzygy twice now with Sacrifice, Control, and Swarm and aim to soon beat it without artifacts enabled. As I said, just practice on the difficulty you do aim to beat, it took me many runs to get through Diluvian and even more through Syzygy. Good luck.

Tangling Growth will root Mithrix and interrupt his attack cycle on all phases. Given it has almost no downtime, it makes REX rather effective against him.
The tangling growth also follows him when he does the leap. You will know he's doing the center jump attack when you see that root towards the sky.
One thing you forgot to mention is that Rex's special entangles him, also freezing him in place.
Was doing that today, absolute CHEESE
Man, everytime I fight him he just one taps me with like 1400 damage
I wouldn't mind a guide that goes over each survivor's strategies vs Mithrix.
Anyways, thanks for the video!
My friends and I looked for the primordial portal for over an hour yesterday... finally to realize the update hasn't dropped on console yet 😤😫
Still great video Woolie and will help us a ton when it does drop
If you go to him while having Artifact of Swarms on, there will indeed be 2 mithrixes. It's the real ending since you reunited him with his brother! (and then killed them both)
Not really, his Brother is Providence, who we felled so we could leave, without our humanity and our pyrrhic plunder.
You shoul make a list of items you should watch out for/ avoid having in a mithrix run (like genesis loop)
tesla coil
Tip for Mithtrix: His biggest weakness is... himself. Seriously. Try Swarms with Chaos and watch them tear each other apart. (You do have to make them aggro on each other first.)
Also Vengeance Clones are deleted when you begin the fight.
Umbras can still spawn during the fight, so Chaos+Vengeance is still a good strat, you just need to time the start of the fight correctly
I realized that they must've changed commencement since there is a different thing I've been doing to get to the mithrix fight.
Fun fact captains micro drone can bend reality or something and delete the shock waves mithrix makes.. somehow
Please keep up the great work
glad it helped!
advanced tips starts at 13:37
well played woolie
Great vid as always! I love all the effort you go through to get this info its super helpful.
Ive never beat mithrix because I'm always too powerful when he takes my items I instantly die, many reds, 100% chance to kill non-boss and max bleed and everything. I need to do a more traditional run so I don't overpower mithrix by the time I get there.
Who else didn't know his attacks changed and got absolutely wrecked in phase 3 🤣
In my experience with mithrix (I have eclipse 3 or higher on all survivors) the most dangerous attacks are the slam and the phase 3 line attack, the line does INSANE damage, I was playing commando, had glass and a aegis setup, totaling in 1100 hp, and got ONE SHOT by it
btw VERY IMPORTANT: if you are using tonic, it's very strange and ruins everything at phase 4, I had a tonic (and was looping for meme reasons) but when I got to mithrix, he took my stuff and left me with 478 stacks of tonic affliction, it happened to me twice and it left me very salty, so please note that
Im glad your channel is doing amazing. I remember watching you when you had 20k.
I am in immense pain.
don't give up! you've got it next time
Note that the triangles spin slower (from your survivor's lateral perspective) when closer to Mithrix. Much easier to dodge in close range.
Oh no, my stack of 10 Soldier Syringe
I just lost a three hour run to Mithrix stealing my insane build wich I didn’t know he did but like how am I supposed to beat him with no items like it was 4 frames then I was dead
Might be useful to mark this as partially outdated. The way to get to Mitrix has been changed, the order in which he gives the items back is flipped now, etc. Attack patterns are very informative though. Love the content, mr streamer.
Just got into RoR2 and your guides are so good. You'd do great making borderlands or dark souls guides!
28:30 oof, I’ve seen people die or nearly die to this to many times, I’ve nearly died to this many times. Not worth imo
@Sleep No ??? Are we talking about the same thing here? You did press the time stamp correct
@Sleep No I mean I put a time stamp which usually means I’m referring to what is happening at the time stamp
@Sleep No your good dude
Bro, all im saying is royal capasator, x10 fuel cells x10 armor percing rounds,= one very dead mithrix
24:24 That's actually not quite right from what I've experienced. I think that has more to do with the distance between you and Mithrix, I think you only see that after the slam because you tend to fight very close
Mithrix guide: stand on ramp, let him wander around underneath it as you take pot-shots, laugh at flying robots getting stuck behind pillars. The end.
How to beat Mithrix
101
Play artificer
And get the ability where you kill 15 enimies in the air to unlock
No mention of pog shrine of order on the final level? Otherwise noice
It seems to me that using hopoo feathers to stay up in the air when he's using the lines attack allows to avoid them entirely. This seems worth mentioning. (or maybe I'm wrong and I just got lucky)
I didn't see this anywhere in the comments, so I'll drop this here:
If you're on phase 3, the triangle attack Mithrix uses can't hurt you if you're on the back of the ramps (as stated), and while enemy spawns are still an issue, you can, provided you have enough jumping or a utility skill ready, get up on the pillars and keep yourself distanced from him if needed.
Luckily the run to the boss is long enough you can loose yourself in the electric guitar of the area theme.
tip from my first time fighting mithrix:
if he stole your shrimp, you're dead
As artificer you can just hover over him and avoid like all of mithrixes attacks
16:09 If you dont find the entrance stop playing RoR2 :D
As a Captain player, your microbots can delete his, "ground ripples." Also, if you're using a healing zone, place it where you'll always have semi-easy access to it. I use two, and put one on each side of the arena.
over half your risk of rain 2 videos are really out of date man.
A couple of my friends recently picked up RoR2. We've been playing a lot, but struggling with phase 2 of the Mithrix fight. I didn't notice there was a pattern as to when triangles would occur. That's the move that always kills us. Moral of the comment, Great guide Mr Streamer!
Just wanna say I beat mithrix solo for the first time today with tips from this guide. Thanks so much for the help!
One thing that is important to note is to scrap items you know you wont need for his fight on Sky Meadows. I've seen in quite a few runs that at least 1 Scrapper always spawns on this stage, so you should use it to get rid of any items you know won't be good for the final fight. Here's a list of the ones that make sense to get rid of:
IMPORTANT: If you have 3 or more Medkits/Slugs, last phase Mithrix will be significantly harder if you have no way to continually keep up the damage (same argument goes for Transcendence).
I prefer to get rid of PSG as well because it's a lot easier to heal to max health, and thus keep OSP ( if you're running Transcendence then keep them)
Green - Ukulele, Will of the Wisp, Berzerker Pauldron, Old Guillotine, Lepton Daisy, Ghor's Tome, Squid Polyps, Bandolier.
I’d get rid of captain’s microbots too
As long as you can reliably dodge the wisp chimera you won’t need it and it will make the final phase much easier as you can use orbital strike on mithrix
Why would you scrap white items tho ? There are no white cauldrons ?
This should help a ton while I try to get "The Calm." He always seems to beat me no matter what I do, so seeing a more in depth analysis of how he works helps a bunch. Thanks Woolie!
Witherd57 stand on the big ramps, gives you a reprieve from most of his attacks
Beat him on my first try with this guide thank you.
Great video dude! Have you done a video on items that are useful to take to Mitrix? I guess, a tier list of items based on Eclipse? That seems pretty useful. Keep it up man!
Fun fact: the shockwaves count as a projectile so the captain's microbots can remove them making it easier to dodge
Great video, as always. What I'd like to see next is a focus on which items are better and worse against Mithrix, so I can be more effective when setting up my items going into the fight!
If you have drones mithrix can activate on kill items.
Ceremonial dagger bonked my run. 😔
Yes I had similar experience. I had like 4x will-o-wisps and my drone exploded on me instantly killing me lol!
Repulsion Armor is also amazing for the chimera wisps btw
Me big
Hi woolie can you help me with merc's ability where you take no damage less than 100% health? You can reply to me if you say yes, Thank you!
ruclips.net/channel/UCK1cuckL8Tk41qRaCLDxpSQvideos
that youtuber (Cabbage) makes guides on beating merc's ethereal achievement on every prismatic trial that comes out.
check him out if you need help
The "needler" attack is actually an attack that swaps out with mithrix's m1 (slam) while sprinting. The version in phase 4 is a DIFFERENT attack entirely that uses the same projectile. All enemies are treated as players and as such have player skills. His m2 is a dash into swing, his utility is two charges of dash, and his special is slam, i dont know how to activate triangles though.
what happened to pillars?
What are some items that could be very dangerous when used against you and you might want to get rid of or avoid having coming in to the fight?
Could be lil better if you gave at least 1 tip like how to fight for every char, but anyway thanks for the video)
"A fully uncut-" *ad plays*
item builds would be a nice addition. Good/bad items. Which of these would help mythrix, not you, that sorta stuff. Overall great guide, can't wait to finally defeat this fucko
7:50 if you have the artifact the males monsters spawn outside of normal environments, normal mobs can be spawned as reinforcement. Was annoying when I had to kill 20 wisps for add phase to end.
ah yes the artifact of males
This guide helped a lot woolie!!
Hey thanks for this. Ive beaten him multiple times already but as I've been trying to beat Syzygy difficulty on the Diluvian mod (+80% Difficulty Scaling, All Diluvian Modifiers, All Eclipse Modifiers) the advanced tips and such are going to help me a lot.
TRForgedDarkness how do you survive all the glowing meteorite spam?
@@kinhawkchan It doesnt start unless you spend too long on a stage, aka after 5 minutes it starts so you have to be fast. Also as of writing this, I beat Syzygy with Command, Swarms, and Sacrifice enabled and plan to try beating it without artifacts soon.
@@trforgeddarkness3682 I can beat the game on monsoon easily now, but never ever got past the first stage on diluvian without artifacts. and you want to beat mithrix with this? good luck! any tipps?
Good luck.
Headline: Moon man fights a potted plant and fucking dies
So I assume they updated the game? 'cause this is no longer how the map looks, nor the way to reach the boss (4 pillars instead) or is this for Monsoon difficulty only?
Correct - the final stage was changed in the Anniversary Update
@@Woolie Thank you for replying and clearing that out! Have you made an updated video for this yet? (And I need to get better XD I just started playing this week and I keep dying to his triangles (can't get the timing right) on EASY ffs.)
@@ollie395 no prob :)
the fight itself is the same as this video, however, for getting to it, here is my vid on skipping pillars:
ruclips.net/video/2oy21HdLSAM/видео.html
@@Woolie Again, thank you for that! The pillars can be time consuming
If you have the “volcanic egg” equipment at artificer this boss fight is cheez you can just fly up in the sky with the egg and then glide and then you snipe him
Or just take Ion Surge
I just got the game a few days ago from the Steam Spring Sale, I've already clocked in a days worth of time after just 3 days. It's been terribly addicting. I hopped in at Monsoon immediately and have been learning everything I can trail by fire. It's been so much fun and I've had such a good time. I finally get a run good enough that I make it to the end and I GET SOOOOO EXCITED to finally fight Mythrix and beat the game, But I'm worried I'll lose from not knowing anything for the first time ever playing this game and I didn't want the past 24 hours of playing to feel completely in vain, So I decided to look up your guide to assure I HAD IT. I finish watching this and I feel SO READY, But here's the thing,
I touched a Newt Alter before leaving to the final stage and went through the portal...
*I looped my run.*
Funny thing to know
Bandit doesn't need any tactics against Mythics
except one: Luck
Smoke bomb making bandit not only invisibile, but even launching into air
Where bandit almost absolutely safe
So yeah, 1-3 phases easy for bandit
And 4...
Easy too
(Except those runs where you taking items with summons and other monsoon completion ruining)
Revolver doing enough damage and having fine accuracy. Just stay back and shoot down.
How can you call this a complete guide when you didn't even show off our froggy boi?!
well got to the second ph- the add phase but i died as loader.
ps. i was loader before i watched the tutorial
