@@aggapuffin He specified Merc because there's something you can do with the physics engine where you end your non-ult dash inside a floating enemy, which transfers the velocity to the target and slams them at mach 50, as Oofity said, into the ground, dealing instant kill damage to wandering vagrant at early levels and two/three shots AWU regardless of stage, rendering those bosses into nothing more than pinatas.
@@walkermcmullin8665 And I specified Rex because there is something you can do with Rex where if the AWU is near the pillar in the center of the stage and you use your R, the AWU is slammed into the pillar at mach 50, killing the AWU.

So here's what I learned on how to get consistent runs, at stage one I need to get 2 legendaries. Then I play through the stages till stage four where I grab the legendary chest and I need to get the rusted lockbox and print a tesla coil on stage five. Lastly I need the bosses to spawn right by each other.
Jokes aside I love this kind of uncut content and these guides have really helped me get most of the survivors skins done since I recently purchased this game on console with huntress and artificer being my last ones

Dude I've been playing for 100+ hours and I knew I could sometimes hit Vagrant using a grounded Arrow Rain but had no idea it was because the tips of the tentacles still counted as a hitbox! Such an informative video! I really like how you appealed to varying skill levels but kept it geared toward beginners.

since this was a huntress run, would you consider making an uncut obliteration run for all other survivors? that way we’d get micro/macro & character specific tips for monsoon obliterations.

I was having some frustration getting Huntress's flurry on stage 1 cause her lock-on prevents you from selecting enemies with high HP amidst a sea of low HP glaive fodder, and if you have ONE mistake with the glaive it doesn't count. So I found it way easier to wait for a grovetender fight and throw the glaive into the swarm of flaming homing skulls he shoots at you. Got it first try.
I used artifact of swarms + kin + glass. Very easy

Wow the game looks so different when you don't have most effects and details turned off. Btw you do an amazing job, usually I wouldn't be able to watch something this long but you keep me really entertained and it's wonderful listening to you commentate on the game!

I have low details of almost everything, but it runs smoothly. To me is better than high quality and fps drop when the run goes on.
My PC is not total trash but it's still kinda old, so yeah tradeoff magic ^^"

Try changing resolution, my pc ran it very poorly until I lowered the resolution, after that I could actually bump up settings without killing my fps.
@@ERBanmech sometimes a pc is that bad that you need to lower your res and set all settings to lowest + limit your framerate (yes, that can help)
Hey Woolie, I really like the content. I've been playing RoR2 for about a month and a half now and one of the last things I need to unlock are the skins for Commando and Mul-T. You mentioned in the video that huntress is really strong and consistent right now; Would you remake this type of guide but using a weaker character, like commando, and some less than ideal RNG luck? Something like that would be really helpful.

I never played RoR2 nor to I ever plan on doing so (because I know the game would suck me up and I would be gone for a couple of months and I really cant afford that)
but I do appreciate uncut runs from someone who really knows their stuff and who proceeds to kick ass and to kick the game's ass in the greediest way possible.
By all means, go for more runs like this.
Two red items on first stage is a pretty good basis to start a monsoon run... I've been blessed with 4 before so I get where he's coming from lol. Great content as always
Maybe you could have added that if you're doing a drizzle command run you can get the beads for an extra 10 coins since you'll definitely have the damage to kill the twisted scav. But for the rest it was a very good and informative video
I watch all your videos regardless, but I really like the uncut videos. The ranting here and there isn't as bad as you think. I'm watching these to absorb as much information as possible, so it's always helpful.
I'm glad you kept the run going after the double red item. It shows newer players that regardless of skill, luck does play a part in having a good run or not.
Every time I look for a risk of rain video I’m sad that not many people play it but I get so happy whenever you make a video because at least you play this game that I can watch.

Love it man, I've been looking at your stream for a while but most of the times I see you play runs with artifacts on and never concentrate on the run cause you're reading chat (not that there's anything wrong, on the contrary in fact). I started watching you for the educational part of things and this is a whole other experience compared to your stream. I wish you could do a commando/mercenary video in the same way you did this one. Clap on the good content and keep it up.

Had legit never done anything noteworthy on Monsoon prior to watching this vid - immediately booted up ROR after watching and ploughed through to obliterate first try lmao.

I like these kind of runs, I like to hear your commentary while playing myself
It's worth noting that artifacts are allowed when it comes to unlocking things. So if you want to unlock abilities super easy, like Flurry, you can put on Glass and Swarm artifacts, and just throw the glaive at the first group you see. You should get it right away. Same for any other character. Need a 20 multikill for artificer? Just put on Command and stack will-o-wisps. Need to die 3 times while burning? Put on Honor and Glass, kill anything that isn't a 'Blazing' enemy, and let those attack you to death. Don't run in their fire because that doesn't actually inflict 'burning'.
I remember trying to get the goat hoof achievement two days ago and got two red items from the same shrine instead.
Im trying to get my friend into the game and the difficulty cap was too high at first but this will definetly help

These are some of my favorite videos. You make really good live commentaries. Would be really cool to see more, especially an unlucky run.
In terms of farming for lunar coins, based on the small bit you said at the end, I find the easiest way to farm is by using loader on drizzle with artifact of sacrifice, saying with the mobility of loader, you can traverse the entire stage in mere seconds without any items, and so you just go immediately to the teleporter, kill the boss, pick up any items, and continue, I've done it, seems very consistent as it's only drizzle, and my runs can be as short as 10 minutes

Great guidelines helped me out tons with solo runs even got a few mastery skins. now I just need to figure out what to do on multiplayer things seem so much harder with my friends

I believe this game has some sort of “tilt-protection” in face of such random bursts of reds. I remember completing “smushed up” on drizzle after losing a lot on monsoon and after the Mithrix fight I went to pet a frog instead of the rescue ship just for lulz. That was obviously counted as a loss. The next run I started on monsoon I was blessed with 3 reds on stage one - a hook, a hammer and something else. And another couple of reds on stage 2…
Yes please Woolie! Please do another full unclipped run! I love these! It is more in line with what most of us have in common with you. And seeing a less lucky run would be interesting seeing as it is what happens to me all the time!

Personally I would like more of these types of videos. I like your other types of videos as well, but I prefer this more than them. Mostly because I couldn't catch up with your livestreams ( different time zone is the main reason ) and I don't often use Twitch. So seeing something like is pretty refreshing and nice to watch. :)

Hey Woolie, one of the things that really helped me out early on is the TP's yellow aura. It's easy to miss but if you know it's there you can spot TP from very far away, even if ti's behind walls. Just a tip that you can add to these videos
for anyone watching this today wanting to unlock huntress stuff, you can just use artifact of glass to kill 6 enemies with the glaive. you can also stack the 12 crowbars for the alternate blink and kill two birds with one stone (if you have command)

Welcome to the church of triple blink! :) No but seriously, as a console player, the ability to blink in any direction, not just forward, is hugely helpful for keeping your aim on bosses, even if you lose the verticality.
Plus with enough movement items one blink can carry you most of the way across the stage lol

Get the blue portal at the end of the first round, then go to the black portal where you unlock acrid, you will notice that the timer doesn't move in there. Duck in and out of the dome to stay alive and charge it, stay out as much as you can... And that's how to farm
fun fact: that chance shrine in the beginning had a 1/100th of a percent chance of occurring. nice lol
1/100 = 1% = chance of 1 legendary
1/10000 is the chance of 2 legendaries

Great run, super informative. Loved how you used the run as an opportunity to fit in little tips like how to transfer gold to next stage. I think another vid on "salvaging a rough run" would be helpful but totally understand how that's hard to set up, really RNG based. No shame in the RNG you got, that's what happens sometimes haha I'm not always so lucky but don't fault you for it at all. Thanks Woolie!

When I first started playing, I didn't realize the teleporter gives off these weird embers around it and I would search for fucken 20 minutes looking for teleporters. Now I just go up and look for those embers.
Hey Woolie have you got any tips for the piercing wind challenge? I've made many attempts only for them to get ruined by a stray wisp or lemurian fireball. I've even tried drizzle runs on the second or third loop. Printing topaz shields and teddies didnt help either.

In order for the Topaz Broaches to make an effective barrier you need to make sure you're constantly killing stuff. You still need a high-damage dealing build in order to keep the Topaz Barrier up.
The other thing you could do is play with Command on on Drizzle and wait until the second loop, once you get proc chains going take 6-7 broaches and as many teddy bears as possible. The more enemies you're fighting the easier it'll be to keep the topaz barrier up constantly, and having 10+ Teddy Bears means that well over half of the hits you take won't actually deal damage.
