I actually have both of these vehicles in the top trim. Well, the Atlas is the 3.6 VR6. If you want a roomy vehicle, then Atlas is it. The second row folds down completely flat. The Telly's cargo floor slopes upward. The Telly feels more buttoned up, tight, solid, and quiet. But the VR6 sound really nice. Too bad you won't get that in the 2.0T. The Atlas does feel lighter. You don't have to press the pedal too much to get it going. Telly need needs heavier pedal pressure to get going. Atlas' steering also feels lighter, Vs. the Telly's heavier steering. Telly's safety features are much better. The blind spot camera turns on when you use the turn signal. It beeps and vibrates if there is rear cross traffic or a car is in the blind spot. The default bird's eye view and rear view when reversing in the Telly is really handy. On the Atlas, you have to switch the view to get that. The seats on the Telly are more comfortable. The Atlas' seats are too firm and get uncomfortable on long trips. Telly's interior feels nicer and softer, even the button and switch actuation. The Atlas feels harder. The knob and switch actuations feels feel harder and louder. There is no doubt when a switch has been actuated. Yes, it's true, the Atlas' interior is very bland. But it's very functional. I guess they fixed those issues in the 2024 model year. Atlas' mileage is quite poor. I average about 17-18 in mixed driving. I get about 21 with the Telly. Adaptive head lights and the IQ intelligent light (or whatever they call it) is nice. When I turn the wheel, the headlights also turn. There are extra set of lights that turn on and off with the steering wheel to illuminate the the sides so you can make turns without running into a curb or falling into a ditch. Telly's dual screen on the infotainment is nice. You can, for example, have GPS nav and audio displayed in a split window. The premium audio with a subwoofer in the Atlas sounds really nice. Telly's audio is a little weak. Telly's tires are a little narrow at 245mm wide. Atlas in the R-line is 265mm wide. I haven't had any mechanical issues with either vehicles. Maintenance is relatively inexpensive, basically oil changes every 7500 miles for the Telly and 10,000 miles for the Atlas. Which vehicle you choose is a matter of taste.

Test drove both vehicles and decided to pull the trigger on the telluride prestige xline. This is just an amazing vehicle all around spacious and absolutely the most comfortable car I've ever sat in with the terracotta Interior. LOVE MY NEW TELLY!

Bought a used 2022 Telly SX limited and have never look back. Got a super deal on it and the wife loves it. The updated safety features and driver assistance makes long trips and highway driving a breeze. We love our Telly

Just test drove both 2024 top of the line models. VW was way smoother, lighter (I like they way you described that), and spacious. I also like the exterior look a tad more, especially at night with the full light up bar and VW emblem. Interior luxury meter was similar but I liked the Telluride's brown leather a lot more. I also like the physical knobs on the Telluride b/c I'm also old school like that... All in all, I think we're going back to buy the VW tomorrow after thinking thru it, but this video certainly helped reaffirm what we already thought. Last thing, I like that the Atlas is a little lesser known whereas I see the Tellurides everywhere. Maybe that's just me but feels more intimate

Hi, I’m currently considering both of these vehicles. My question is resell value the Atlas has a better resell value. Maintenance costs is another. The maintenance costs I’ve heard are cheaper on the Atlas by about 1200 dollars over 5 years😊

I have 2024 VW Atlas comfortline
It has these disadvantages so far
1- water gets inside the engine room once you wash my Atlas
2- you have to put the driving mode on Eco every time you start the car , it is annoying
3- the car is rattling a lot from the doors and seats
4- the sound of the heating fan is loud
5- it doesn’t have the windshield heater inside the frond window glass , Toyota rav4 has it
6- line assist is not very efficient, try it and you will know what I mean
7- the radar system doesn’t work in the snowy and rainy conditions
8- the fan of climate control is only controlled by the screen, if the screen damaged then you may freeze or get very hot until you get to a mechanical shop
9- the engine turns off once you shift the gear from R to D

Many people talk about VW reliability without mentioning service bays filled with engines at Kia dealerships ready for replacements. Kia has options, but even on camera you can see the lesser quality materials used. I think Kia just recalled almost 500,000 tellurides? Telling customers not to park in their garages for fire issues.

Not one over the other, they are both good and comparable. Each person should get what they like personally, and some are going to pick one over the other, there is not better choice, just what is best for the individual. If you like it and feel good about it, that is all that matters, no wrong pick.

In the market for a three row SUV. Test drove both, for me, the Telluride felt more solid but my opinion is only based on a short drive. It is true the Atlas is wider but that also was noticeable on the road, and we were ok with the space available in the Kia. Inside both feel better than a Grand Highlander or a Pilot. At the end it came down to price, we got a slight better deal on the Kia with comparable features. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one, at the end of the day we had to make a decision and chose the Telluride. No markups at this time, actually we got ours under MSRP, and the dealer was also able to get the price close enough even including a discount due to the lower APR offered by VW, 2.9% for 60m. One of the advantages of having options :)

The telluride looks nicer inside.. but much like the seltos and other kias.. they can look nice, but their comfort is absolutely awful!
25 minute driver in a seltos and I hurt for over a day afterwards!
Telluride is okay, but plenty of cheap interior materials when you look closely.

What trim is that Atlas cause the Telluride is definitely not the SX I think its an EX, the SX has the 12 inch screen drive cluster which does cool things. The ex and down on the Telluride have that cluster the SX is a full 12 inch screen plus it has ambient lights inside the car. The SX also has a window roof in the 2nd row and only come with Captains cars in the 2nd row. If you get the prestige package the 2nd row has heated and ventilated seats. I leased the 2020 ex Telluride and now had to go to the 2024 s Telluride which is amazing. The best feature is the HDA it's the 2nd best center lane driving without your hand behind the Tesla.

    • @MemphisMo
      @MemphisMo 8 месяцев назад +1

That may be an SE, I didn't pay much attention but it's definitely not an SEL, Premium nor an R line which would all be better and the combination of all 3 would be the most ideal obviously

I have test drove higher trims of both vehicles and Telluride wins. Please do your home work b4 spitting facts out there. The downside of the telluride is the high markups. Why don’t you compare both higher trims. Also there were some things you mentioned in this video about telluride which was very incorrect. Please do your homework well next time.

Were you aware that Kia put a lot of money into changing the public perception of their vehicles? They brought in new corporate management, changed body styles, changed the materials they were using, spent a ton on research and development, and should now be considered a major car brand. Don't look at Kia through the 2004 lense, look at what they've done to shift the narrative in 2024. You seem a bit stuck up to think that you are too good for a $50,000 vehicle. Good luck with that mindset, it'll take you really far in life.
