Since you have Reddas, I'm at least assuming Giruvegan is open at this point. Farming Behemoth Steaks, and selling them one by one, nets you 10 X-Potions each time. Which could make things easier. Outside in the Feywood, you can kill the Mirrorknights for Windslicer Pinions. A Pheasant Netsuke may not hurt, as well.
I've only played the original version, though, and since this is the new one, things might not even be the same anymore. Oh well, your way worked for you, though. So, okay.
You can also farm Cancer Gems for the Mesa blade for the Shikari Job.
Zeromus be like: "Who are you...? Where is Cecil...? Where is Fusoya? Where is Golbez? How many years has it been since my defeat on the moon?"

@@KC-dg9pu . It is not the same. This Zeromus version of FF12, but definitely not the same Zeromus of FFIV, FFIV is not in the same universe of the Ivalice games.

Alright! The developers allowed Zeromus to keep the field that blocks spells!
Only one thing they could've done to make him "a little bit" harder: make his normal attack do fractional damage as well. In other words, regardless of your HP, you take damage equal to a set percentage of your max HP (say, 30%) with every attack. Hence, if your character has below 30% HP and they get hit, they die.
Scathe Motes, Phoenix up, quickening. It's an attrition battle.
when i first faced this esper it was such a struggle but once you get zeromus its like wow
that was really cool; so now i got him that's it? Nothing else? That's cool too i guess ha ha
I beat him at around level 45 and he was tough. Pheasant Netsukes and Power Armlets help a lot. I also find it useful to set a gambit to attack the foe with the least hit points, to get the skeletons out of the way.
How come you didn't throw a dispel mote at Zeromus? He is immune?

You really don't need end game gear to kill this guy. Masamune alone is overkill.

That's not possible unless you have a mod. Especially the storyline bosses.
@@brendanfrost2475 that's the point my guy, with mods. I know it's not possible. Lmao, how would you even beat Zodiark before Belias let alone get to him. Getting to him would be hard enough with the strong enemies and lethal traps.

Brendan Frost you can just emulate the game with pcsx2 and there’s a save editor online that works with it. Played through the entire game with Reks.

I guess, do what you gotta do to win, but dozens of Phoenix downs seems like a bad plan
bruh, what level did you take this guy on at? he should be a cakewalk if you have the right license points, and the right license boards it should be easy. this fight should only take like 5 minutes if your high enough leveled. Every time i take him one i am always level 70 - 80. And he can barely put a dent. i usually use mists for the last bit of health just because yes :)
Most of the Espers do not require high levels to beat and certainly don't require 5 minutes to beat even at that. All it takes is the right gambit setup to make it work. The important thing to note is that Zeromus can't kill you with Graviga so you just set up buffs so that you keep everyone alive. The zombies patrolling the area can be a nuisance, but you can easily just toss a mote to eliminate them. In FFXII, gear matters more than levels.

Was zeromus on the original version? I don’t remember fighting him. Also, was that Zalera that got summoned? Is this all on the re release version or has it really just been so long that I’ve forgotten?

I hate the handicap of this battle, potions cant do much of a healing here. I just got lucky I finished him with all 3 characters barely alive
By this point, you can afford X potions which are more than enough. With the pheasant Netsuke, you can easily do a lot of healing especially with the lores. Zeromus is mostly just a damage boss so you only need to keep up damage mitigation. If you feel like you are swamped, toss in a holy mote or summon an esper to burst down the group. Overall, not as hard as initially thought.

When you fight Zeromus, there is a field that doesnt allow magic. So he has to use phoenix downs.
Zeromus is different than in ffiv

All the summons in this game are bosses from other final fantasy games.

they're a callback to other games and some of the bosses in the series. And Espers aren't an exclusive thing. By that logic, Eidolons should ONLY be exclusive to FFIV and not just FFIX or FFXIII; it's just a name of what they are. Also you might wanna look into the Ivalice Alliance games (FFTactics, FFTactics A2, Vagrant Story, etc) as that's where most of these Esper designs originate from, and FFXII is a game that takes place in the world of Ivalice, so...
