Ah, Shadowseer. The most tactical boss in the entire game. The developers knew exactly what they were doing with this guy. If there was ever a FF boss that was worthy of a Top 3 Best Final Fantasy Boss Fights Of All Time countdown, Shadowseer would definitely make the list. Ashame this guy isn't Level 99, though. That would make it #1 of all-time, easy.
Anton Ironstag it’s a video game. Character design is a huge part of what makes a character iconic, stupid. Should I get to know him and base my opinion on his personality ya childish moron?
@@Sloimer you judge it by the quality of the fight and concept you mong. How the character looks is just icing some great bosses in games have dumb ass designs but fantastic fights
This part was so creepy. Your just in the darkness of the basement maze of this tower - and the darkness is so much you can barely see. So scary for me when I played.
A boss fight with multiple side bosses within. Each with their own strategy to be taken seriously as these high level bosses can do some serious damage if you don’t know how to counter each one. The fact that this game was made in 2006 just goes to show how much the developers put into an old game. It is no wonder final fantasy 12 is my favourite in the series because the charm of facing these bosses for the first time is finding out how tough the encounter will be to begin with.
Oh so fond memories of Shadowseer and Ridorana. Hands down the most difficult area to traverse in the game aside from the Great Crystal. And I say that even of the Remaster, where you can cheese the game a LOT more. Hennes Mines got much easier imo with all the cheese. Crystal is difficult in its confusion and lack of save points. But Ridorana is the 7th circle of FF hell. I died there more times than anywhere else in the game, guaranteed lol.
Pharos underground already.... unless something new popped up, the only tougher areas the upper part of the Great Crystal, and the 2nd section of the Henne Mines although there are some overpowered enemies in some lower level areas too now...
If you want to kill the "Magick pot" give it and elixer then steal it back it won't attack you and it's vulnerable to attacks. 😎 Just make sure to turn off all gambits and kill all other enemies avoid hitting it before doing this trick.
Whenever I see *Curse* flash on the marquee I scream internally. I have 1 ribbon for my main healer, and it's still a giant headache when my other two get confused and end up killing them anyhow lol. 2 at the very least is ideal, and I've been trying to get the one in Hennes Mines to spawn. o_
Shadowseer is one of the last Elite Mark hunts you can obtain from Montblanc. You must at least complete the main story portion of Ridorana and reach Balfonheim. Once you have, you will be able to access the Subterra in the lighthouse. It consists of three underground levels that you must "complete" before you get access to the very bottom area called "Unknown", where Shadowseer resides. The Subterra is arguably the most difficult area of the game, because it's full of high level monsters that spawn infinitely. Great for leveling but very easy to get overwhelmed due to barrages of stat debuff attacks. I prefer the Hennes Mines as far as endgame leveling.
First you have to clear the storyline through Ridorana (by this point the final dungeon should be unlocked). Then you need to do hunts so you can increase your Clan Rank until you're strong enough to fight high-level enemies (you can do this while clearing the story up to Ridorana). After that, you must accept the Shadowseer hunt, head to the Pharos and use the lift to reach the Subterra. (WARNING: you will be mobbed by lots of level 55+ enemies). Once there, you must activate four pedestals, one in each side room, so that the lift can go deeper. To do this, you must kill enemies in the side rooms (NOT the center ring) and collect the Black Orbs they drop. Use those to turn on the pedestals, but be warned: if you put in too many at once, you lose them. All pedestals must be activated by _exact count_ in regards to Black Orbs. There is also a boss known as "Phoenix" that you must fight on the north side of the first level (Penumbra). It has about 135,000 HP and randomly changes its elemental weakness, but its attack pattern is very straightforward. However, it flies, so use ranged weapons or non-elemental magic to kill it. Once all four pedestals are fully lit, the next area will be unlocked. Each level gets progressively harder and also requires more Black Orbs to fully activate the pedestals. Keep going until you turn on all the pedestals on the third level (Abyssal) to unlock the boss floor (Unknown). Make damn sure you save your game before engaging the fight because you can't escape once it starts. From there, refer to this video. 😉

Generic shadow guy with reskins of bosses =/= best boss ever.

oh, i've done that by mistake.... it was not pretty

The fact that he is immune to Dispel is insane!! I had to remake all my black mages gambits lol
this would have been much better if you took some time to find at least 1 or 2 ribbon. ff12's status ailments are really dangerous

Pharos at Ridorana, Subterra.
Damn you are fast.
By now that guy should be beating Yiazmat already~
doesn't this take place in an unknown alternate dimension
Beat this guy yesterday, damn that was a toughie, so far hardest fight with Gilgamesh, Im afraid of the other super bosses 😳
Good luck with the ultimate one
Ribbons do help
I've been playing this game for 4 years but still can't fight shadow seer Yiazmat and omega
This took me forever to get to let alone beat. Invert is the worst part.
Here's an interesting question:
Who is unbearably worse? Shadowseer or Disma?
Disma!
I just killed It yesterday, Great battle but he loves too much the mp 🤔😢
I never seen this one before how can i reach it?
Rael Endbringer
You Can Fight It At Hunt Mission
If u have reached yiazmat hunt,, you should be able to find shadowseer hunt, its one of the last hunts, i think its #44
