From the player/designer perspective, I imagine the change is to increase the spectacle factor through much of the game (with cutscenes and executions for one, but even just opening a door or chest is a lot cooler like this). In the first game, many players will barely get to see War's Chaos form because they tend to save it for tough combat situations, and you never really see it otherwise. In the second game they utilize it to much greater effect which just adds a "cool factor" for lack of a better way to put it. It's also worth mentioning that in a game where you play as Death, it's reasonable that many players will go in with the expectation that you get to do or at least see a lot of cool grim reaper stuff, so there you go--plenty of cool grim reaper stuff. From the lore perspective, it could portray that Death has much more mastery over his powers than the other 3. Nothing felt more relatable than Death saying "How many times will you have me kill it" when the Guardian was getting revived by Eideard. I also noticed the graphics seem a little... odd. Is this the old version before the Deathinitive edition?
It might be, this video seems to be a collection of different saves. Saw some steam and Playstation achievements
12:50 How I felt after beating this boss
Death is a good guy acting as a bad one. And thats how they made him an excellent character.
Even with his mathernal (yes, mathernal) instincts when he interacts with Pup
The way he gets more and more tired trough the entire game xD
Who knew the reaper is such a savage
He doesn’t Just slay with his scythes (though they do help quite a bit)
I did.......read the fucking bible
what i loved about death's delivery of his lines was his entertaining mix of dry humor, teeth cracking bluntness and his always on hand smart ass comment on calling out some bulshit.
Why does Death have such a sexy voice!?!🥵🥵🥵
As a treat for anyone who buys the game
This makes me want to go redownload the remaster lol
How can this guy be more edgier then his own blades?
"i'm not here to put you out of your misery."
two seconds later
death kills the crow father
well hey
he did say "not yet"
and he waited two whole seconds
Misery not mystery
@@megatron6713 right I didnt notice at the time thanks for correcting it
Thank you for uploading this
19:30 Secret my ass, people would hella blame Samael if a whole race revived
He Works While You Talk 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do you ever doubt you future..?
No...
Snide, snarky, snippy. Death is all these things
2:34 but he can also be polite and formal
All i can say is this,
Justice for the judicator😂
Im so glad that darksiders is rated M
One of my all time fave games, I had so much fun playing this.
Death is a wonderful character, despite his name. He does whatever he pleases for the sake of the Balance, most importantly he cares for his brother. He has no evidence War didn't caused the Apocalypse, he just believes he's innocent.
“Open The Portal”
I see where fury gets her attitude from. She just sprinkles a bit of rage in there.
I hope one day this series gets looked back on...
Darksiders 2 will remain my favorite games of all time.
1:35 Is that Braum's VA?!
Sure is! This series has a track record of getting good voice actors
this is the best darksiders
