Julian! I truly appreciate you man, thank you 🙏 I tried to do it as quick as possible but trying to film it all can be quite challenging! And I didn't expect to spend so much time editing this video! All in all it took me three full days to do the build, film, edit and upload!! This has been the longest and the most work I have put into one video! And there are so many aspects that I could do so much better! Hopefully over the next videos it will get even better 😅 I truly appreciate your support! thank you very much 🤜💥🤛
Robert I truly appreciate your comment, and I'm sorry I took so long to reply. I took a week off just to have a bit of fun and reconnect with the hobby, instead of just working on them. And I've got to say that your comment means the world to me and makes all the effort the person puts in worth it! Thank you so much and welcome to RC fun and game brother ✌️😉

Just wanted to say thanks for putting the work n time I’ve watched a crap load of IR40 builds & finally decided to build one the parts I ordered are just like yours I have a Defender I’m using the chassis & it already has red anodized high clearance links & steering links Reefs 99 servo & some lower brass here n there so that’ll be my base I’m building of of it’ll be the Gray body with red accents the 59 mm shocks have red as well. I wasn’t going to get the carbon frame but it looks awesome & it allows for the lay down servo to go with the axles I got the black aluminum set extended with front steering rods. Seems like the build is pretty straight forward I’ll definitely be coming back when I start my build. 👍
Man bro that's awesome! Thank you so much for the support, I really appreciate it. Sounds like you've got an awesome build ahead of you 😁 I really like the performance gains from the lcg carbon fiber chassis, and their new Universal chassis in my opinion is the best one so far. Keep me posted! because I am very interested to see how your build turns out 😉 I'll tell you now that I have to taking it out for testing it is definitely my favorite and one of my best performing rigs. I truly appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave me a comment bro. 🤜💥🤛
Thank you so much 👊😉 Now that's what I call support!! 5!!! I can see you are really looking forward to it, and I know you going to enjoy building it and you definitely going to love running it 😁 And it's a pleasure bro thank you so much for watching so many times and commenting 🤜💥🤛
Right!! I was in the process of tinkering with my build (same as this one) with this video playing. 😊 When he went outside, I had to stop tinkering & pay full attention to the Amazingly Beautiful Course.
The video was great… you documented everything very nicely. The length of the video is perfect because you did a lot of work there! Keep up the great work. 🎉
That ESC, transmitter/receiver is amazing. I use that combo in mine. You will see an even better improvement when you switch to 3S. I am using Spektrum 850mAh Smart batteries. With the 6 channels you can run a winch or 4 wheel steering or extra lights. With 3S you shouldn't need crawler gears, it should provide enough torque to crawl plus a huge bonus to speed for fun.
Totally, it's an amazing setup! I can't wait to get myself some 3s batteries to put them to the test! I have been looking for 3s battery so thank you so much for the info! I really appreciate you watching and leaving an awesome and informative comment ✌️😉
I'm using Spektrum batteries and they offer battery plug ends. I simply needed to solder one of their ends onto one of the wires that come with the ESC. Very easy to do. Going 3S is one of the biggest improvements you can make to these little RCs.@@CrivRex
I'm just looking to buy my first crawler and would love to give this build a try. How does the cost of the build compare to buying a ready to run TRX4m? Great video, thanks.
@@travelingman186 well it's a great place to start with this build, they are quite simple to put together. For me to get a Traxxas trx4m here in Portugal, it costs 200€ and then you going to spend $400 at least upgrading it. Depending on how you proceed to upgrade it. My first two trx4m's I ended up spending around $600 on each, to then realize it is a lot cheaper to just buy the parts and put it together as then it is already upgraded. To buy all the parts like I did in this build, it will cost you around 400€ And of course you end up with a much better and more reliable product than buying it from Traxxas. As I've got to say the quality you get out of the box is really not great. If you want to buy a stock truck I recommend the Hobby Plus CR-18PRO Evo Or the awesome Furi wagon from Furitek. As the quality from these rigs are ways to period to the Traxxas straight out of the box
Bro I don't even understand why they don't sell their own ready to run versions! And yes a kit with all the parts needed to do a build like this! Would really be awesome. I'll have a talk with him and see what they think about this idea 😉
It’s all part of the fun buying them individually and upgrading as and when you need you go full bore straight away you leave nothing for you enjoy over time trust me done it plenty of times
Getting started on my build and basically following your tutorial step by step, and Im glad i did. The Injora frame instructions show bolting the front half on the outside , Your build of the links are also spot on 👍
That's awesome bro, this was definitely one of my favorite builds this year! Yeah those instructions got me to!! I bolted it just the way they said! and I was like no way this is going to work!! Off the building a few I have got the links set up pretty nailed down now. But on my last build with the portal axles, I used the same setup and have to take out a couple of spaces on the rear uppers, and add an extra to the front upper links. It's way more fun to build one from scratch then to buy a ready to run and then upgrade it! I'm so glad that you found my video helpful and useful 👊😉 Hope you get it together with no hiccups, let me know afterwards when you're done ✌️😊
Just a note to say thanks for this video.I'm new to all this and it helped me build my first rig myself. I could't have done it with out it. I've not seen any other videos that go into this much detail and it was done very well.
Now I've got to say this is an awesome comment!! I'm so glad to get this feedback, as at least all the effort put into making this detailed video is appreciated! I'm so glad I could be part of your first build! And I hope it inspires you to build many more 👊😉 I am going to be building a TRX6m next! And with comments like this I will definitely go through the effort of very carefully documenting every step of the Build! Greatly appreciate you watching and commenting! 🤜💥🤛
what a fantastic backyard track you have, it's so amazing, i used to have this weird idea when i was a little boy, to have a miniature world with little RC cars and trucks and crawlers, and people could log on, pay a fee and drive them around from anywhere in the world, kids and their weird ideas lol
Thank you so much bro! I really appreciate that!! 😊 That's a freaking awesome idea!! Would be so much fun if that was possible! Which I'm sure we're not far off being able to do nowadays 😅 But that's what keeps us Young!! Imagination!! without it, you're just boring 😉 I really appreciate you watching and and sharing this awesome memory 🤜💥🤛 Have an awesome day bro ✌️😉
Another outstanding video. You did an awesome job and now I’m glad that I’ve watched your video because I’m in the process of building mine. I will send you photos and videos as soon as I get it done. Thank you again, Ryan.👊💯
Don, thank you so much bro! I'm glad you liked the video, and you are going to be really impressed with your next build!! And I can't wait to see it 😁 It's a pleasure! thank you for being a cool friend and a supportive subscriber 🤜💥🤛
Bro this is the kind of stuff I want to hear!! I'm so glad this video inspired you and gave you the confidence to do your own build next! This is the whole point of these videos is showing you how easy it really is to put one together yourself and how much more cost-effective it is. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. 🤜💥🤛
😅🤣 I am glad you liked it 😉 I thought it's time to let the world know that magic exists!! 🤣 Definitely the fastest way to assemble a set of beadlocks!! 😅
Hi kickstart 👋 Bro I'm glad you found the video useful that's exactly what I want to hear!! Welcome to my channel, RC Fun&Games. If there's anything I can give you a hand with just let me know. Thanks for watching and commenting such a cool comment 🤜💥🤛
I also used to wonder and a while back I decided to just buy everything as I am sick and tired of buying a new RC and then throwing away all the stock parts! It ends up being way more cost-effective to build it from scratch yourself! I'm glad you found the video useful and helpful, and I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you very much 🤜💥🤛
Very neat and detailed build instruction! Really well done! And ofcourse I enjoy watching the test run at your amazing backyard track! Perfect video my friend! 😀😀 💯💥👌👍👍👍
Thanks brother I really appreciate the awesome comment ✌️😉 Let's see if one of my next videos won't be doing some more work to the RC course 😁 Time to build a few more features that I really have been wanting to do!! Have the rest of an amazing Sunday bro 👊😉
Just ordered my chassis that will be the foundation of my own IJ40 build. Didn’t go with Ijora chassis but will be using them for everything else! Thanks for the awesome video
Awesome, what chassis did you go for instead of the injora Universal chassis? So far the IR 40 build, was probably one of my favorites! And I can't wait to get stuck into my next 6x6 ir40 build. 😁 It's a pleasure thank you for watching and leaving a comment 👊😉
@@rcfungames I went with the Oppai Factory chassis with is doll up kit. I am sure I will eventually build another with Injora chassis. Oppai Factory made Trx6m flatbed hauler. It’s pretty awesome.
Great video and build, as long as your enjoying what you're doing i wouldn't worry about the time,it doesn't bother me myself, will definitely be building a similar setup myself, see you on the next one!!!
Thank you! That was a really good way to put it, I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave me this great comment. You will definitely be more than happy with this rig when you're done! 🤜💥🤛
Just a tech tip with my IR 40 build I blacked out under the body from headlights to window and added aluminum foil around back of headlight buckets makes much brighter and front off body not lit up
Awesome tips and information, I will definitely be painting the inside of the IR 40 body soon enough! Just got too many projects on hand and not enough time to do everything. The light trick have been using for years. And this is the kind of information that is awesome. Seriously thanks for watching and taking the time to leave an awesome comment. 👊😉
Great video! Very informative. I watched it all the way through and the build looks and performs amazing! The only thing missing is a cover in the bed area to cover the wiring.
Thank you Jonathan, I really appreciate you watching the whole video all the way through that really means about to me! I truly appreciate your support. And I agree I wish they had made a cover for the bed! Then all the wires would not be visible!! Once I understand these 3D programs, I will design a 3D print one 😅
I ordered my body and it came the other day , but it was missing the rear cage so all I got was the cab and its fittings no cage , Injora have said they are sending it on to me , so I have to wait even longer now for that to be delivered , stay safe mate , I have subscribed and liked .
That's crazy how did somebody at the factory pack the body but didn't pack the cage! If you lived here in Portugal I would have sent you my spare cage that I have left from my 6x6 ir40 build. I hope the time flies by and it gets to you quicker than you think. You stay safe too buddy, thank you so much for the sub and like. It really means a lot to me 🙏 🤜💥🤛
Thank you so much 👊😉 I really appreciate it ✌️😁 Going to resume work on my backyard course very soon and I'll be posting some videos about what I build 😅
Bro! it is always awesome, to hear that my video you to do a similar build!! I really appreciate you watching and it means the world to me that you took the time to write a comment like this. Thank you very much and I hope to see you again 👊😉 Now get out and enjoy that awesome IR40 ✌️🤪
Great video lots of detail. Don’t worry about the length of videos we have FF if we need it haha Will be watching again when I get the rest of my parts in for build.
Thank you very much Matt 🤜🤛 I really appreciate the feedback and the awesome comment 😉 Until today this is one of my funnest builds, I am actually going to build another IR 40 but 6x6 I have already done one on the channel but I want to make this one a little bit different. I hope it doesn't take long for your parts to arrive so you can get stuck into your build! 😁 Really appreciate you watching bro
Thank you so much 😊 It was a lot of fun to build, and even more fun to take it out and test it to see what I have to do to it next 😅 I really appreciate you watching and commenting 🤜🤛
This was awesome dude, nice, driving slow and controlled. Love it. And your course. Well, just wow, love that gas station. I’ll watch for the next one until then. Peace and chicken grease. 😁👍👍😎
Hi Andy! Thank you so much once again for such an outstanding comment! Hopefully soon the weather will clear up and I can get the gas station and houses back out onto the course. This build was really awesome and can't wait to start the next one! Once again thank you for watching and leaving an awesome comment. Until the next one peace and chicken Grease brother!! 🤜💥🤛
Great build video. Lots of fun upgrades. Injora is definitely pushing out some great products. I think the biggest benefit to brushless is FOC and Bluetooth. I was thinking about doing a similar comparison. 😎🤘
Thank you Michael I really appreciate your visit and awesome comment!! Yes I do agree that you've got a lot more to play around with to get your setup the way you want it with a brushless system! All that is very new to me as I have never messed around with brushless yet!! I mean wanting to purchase these systems for the last 3 years but just impossible living where I do! I am so looking forward to unboxing the furi wagon this week, so that I can get out and go and do some testing! I have seen that you've been producing some awesome content! As soon as I get a little bit of time to myself I will be over to come and watch some of your videos too. You have an amazing day and I hope I'll see you again on the next one!
Good morning bro, and thank you very much 🤜🤛 It's getting old now and needs a bit of work!! But I will be fixing and adding some more to the RC course / town 😉 I really appreciate you watching Hopefully I'll catch you again on the next one ✌️😉
Thanks bro I really appreciate 🙏 That's what I want to hear! is that it was helpful, like that it makes it all worth it!! especially all the effort I put into this long edit. Thank you buddy 😊 🤜💥🤛
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience- my trx f150 will arrive soon and I ordered the double decker chassis kit and links kit-looking at axels? Got any advice on axles?-I needed a built video- looking forward to the build this weekend- you are awesome mate
That's what this hobby is all about bro, so anytime man 🤜🤛 I'm the one that appreciates you watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Regarding the axles, so far my favorite are the diamond axles! I wanted to use them on this build but they weren't available at the time. But I ordered them and fitted them one week later on the next video. So just check out my channel you will find the diamond axles I used from Injora. They had a few issues but not quality wise it was assembly by somebody in the factory. And like always the issues will resolved very quickly by injora. I am going to be using another set on my next 6x6 build But any of the extended axles from Injora are awesome!
great little video.. new to your channel as I was curious to see how injora has come along with all their parts. one thing I noticed that bothers me on one of my rigs is the high clearance links expose the driveshaft at each diff. My driveshafts are all scratched up and not knicks in them too cuz of that so I ended up going back to straight links... in some rigs if I could find plastic lower links I sent for that too; just easier to slide and not get stuck on rocks.
Thank you, I appreciate that 🙏 And welcome to RC fun and games thanks for watching and commenting 🤜🤛 Yeah, it annoys me too, the best you can do is put another spacer on the upper links to reduce the angle and how much of the drive shaft is sticking past the links. But even with that you still have a little bit that can catch! I find that the stainless steel links are the best to slide over the rocks! The aluminium and brass like to stick a lot more!
Great video. Why you use carbon fibre chassis and not a brass chassis? I think that lower parts should be the heaviest as possible, that way we earn stability.
Thank you bro, the reason you don't use a bras chassis and you use a carbon fiber one, is so that you can keep the weight as low as possible. If your chassis was bras it would be very top heavy and more prone to rolling. By having the carbon fiber chassis, all the weight is at the bottom. The axles are aluminum with all metal gears, the rims are Brass and that means the weight is as low as possible to the ground keeping the center of gravity is low as possible. If your chassis was made out of brass, when doing side hill obstacles the body would lean a lot more and hit the overall performance. It makes quite a difference just getting rid of the stock chassis and replacing it with this type of chassis. There's two different types of weight, unsprung weight and sprung weight, you rather have unspring weight as it is the lowest. Having the chassis in Ross would be a sprung weight which means it's definitely going to be more prone to body lean and rolling. I hope that helps bro I tried to explain it the best I could.
Hi mate watching your video again as I’m going to be doing the build soon, and the links which I’m confused on the short straight ones and the short curved ones are for the front, and the long straight ones and the long curved ones are for the back I take it, because I’m new to building something like this
Hi bro, well I can't say I don't appreciate the support the more you watch the better it is for me 😁 You are going to really enjoy building this truck dude, and yes you are 100% right 👍 Short ones are for the front the long ones for the back, the straight ones go on the top, and the curved ones at the bottom 😁👌
Sir, your links are on backwards 😉😘 Shorter ends go to the midplate, they'll follow the driveshaft better. Right now that's a hangup spot for ya, and it'll keep the axles from planting. I love your videos though!!! I learned a ton of stuff about a hobby I abandoned 30 years ago
I believe I have them on the right way what you saying does make sense but at the end of the day I have seen many people with the setup and I don't like the way you lose all that extra clearance because of flipping around the links. And if you check the actual site you will see that they are fitted right. I really appreciate you watching my videos thank you very much.
Loved the video very in-depth as this’ll be my next build, once I’ve finished the injora rock tarantula, and where abouts do you mount the esc and receiver
Thank you bro! I'm glad you liked the video and build ✌️😉 It turned out an awesome truck. Awesome I really do like the tarantula, they are a lot of fun. If you talking about the tarantula, I put the battery on the back and the electronics in the battery tray. Just for the fact that I built them from my kids and it is easier for them to access the battery on the back.
@@rcfungames hi mate sorry I didn’t explain myself very well sorry, I was wondering where you fitted the esc and receiver for the injora ir40 build, as I’ll be using the stock traxxas esc from my trx4m defender
@@paulorchard503 no worries, I put the electronics on the back tray. I believe I do show where I fit the electronics in the video. You can get the receiver and the MB 100 ESC on the back Trey side by side. But I'm probably going to have to relocate them as I can't get the back Trey to fit because of the electronic tabs that stand up so high.
Thanks for the video, it's very good, I congratulate you. Maybe you can help me with a question. Could I connect a FlysKY receiver compatible with my FlysKy FS-G7P transmitter to the INJORA ESC?
Thank you very much Javier 🤜🤛 Indeed you can, all you need is to buy a receiver that is compatible with your FlySky transmitter. And it should be pretty much the same process as what I did. I still believe port number one is for the servo and port number two for the esc. Thank you so much for watching and leaving such an awesome comment 🤜💥🤛
Thank you so much buddy 🤜🤛 You mustn't think like that! I'm sure you are more than capable of building a truck like this, just be patient and take your time, you can follow the video step by step and if you have any issues or doubts you can just ask me and I will help as much as I can. 👊😉
@@rcfungames appreciate it. I've already upgraded almost every part except the body since this comment. Spent more on this mini crawler than my maxx. Lol!
Bro I used quite a few different tools individual you're going to have to be a little bit more specific! 😅 I guess you are referring to the small hex drivers? You can find them on the Injora site.
This is a great build Ryan. I am eagerly waiting to build mine. Waiting for parts to arrive. Meanwhile I have couple of questions 1. What size LEDs come with ir40 body? 2. What size action figure do you suggest?
Hi bro I'm sorry for the late reply I only found this comment now! I really appreciate it thank you very much. I hope your parts have arrived while you were waiting for a reply. The lids on the IR 40 are two different sizes, the front headlights are the normal size led which I would say is mid size, and the real ones are small leds. Even though this body is listed as a 1/18 scale I recommend trying to find figures around the 1/20 scale to fit inside the cab or even a 1/ 22 scale. But if you just want to figurines to stand around the vehicle like I use I am using 1/18 scale which is the right size. I will see what I can find in the next few weeks and I will make a video fixing some figures to some of my vehicles that have interiors. I really appreciate you watching my video and you taking the time to leave me a comment. Thank you very much bro! 🤜💥🤛
@@rcfungames Thank you so much Ryan. I'll be getting all the parts by the end of this month. Excited for the build. You are right, I think you should make a video on scale drivers
Yes there are two different length axles available There is the original length and the extended version and the version that I used on this truck is the new version with the lay down Servo setup. I have now taken off these axles and I have put on the new diamond axles from Injora and they also come with the lay down Servo setup and I think personally they are a better axle than these. Not that there is anything wrong with the quality and performance from these axles.
Hey buddy mines got serious body roll lov to lean to the right gonna try the stiffer springs did u have trouble? Need a video on that awesome looking deadbolt 😊
Yeah now when I do the assembly of the shocks I always make the rear right and the front left with a bit of extra preload when capping off the oil! To help prevent the torque twist or body lean Check out the video I did on the shocks for the high Trail! I also set the IR 40 shocks up the same way! And I've got to say it's working really great! Will do bro! I will make a video soon on the scx24 deadbolt! Actually I think I'll get them all out and take them for a spin and of course talk about the upgrades and how they've held out over this time. Like always bro I really appreciate you watching and leaving a comment! Thank you 👊😉
Awesome video! I’ve used it as an inspiration for my build. I’m at the point where I’m about to convert from plastic axles, to the Injora metal +4mm axles with lay down servo. I have a question about the links. My build is based off a Bronco (now IR40). I purchased the injora stainless high clearance links for the bronco a while ago. I noticed in your video you used the links with the bent rod ends. Will this be an issue for me? seeing as mine don’t have the bent rod ends. Thanks, really enjoy your content.
It doesn't make a difference if you use the rod ends that are bent or not! But as far as I know they are now provided with every single kit, even with the Bronco and Defender links. I just find that the geometry on the front of the K10 works better than the rest because of those link ends. So just look carefully inside the packet I'm pretty sure you will find two in there. If not do not worry the difference is hardly anything anyway. Thank you bro I really appreciate the feedback, even if each video only helps one person, that makes me happy! Really appreciate you watching, and commenting, and I hope to see you again on the next one 😉
Great video! I just ordered this build based on your list but opted for the 370 motor and diamond axles. I am looking into a 3S battery option. Do you recommend any particular 3S batteries and perhaps a charger to go with it or should I just stay with the original Traxxas solution?
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback bro! I wanted to use the diamond axles when I was doing this build but they weren't available! I fit them on the next video! 😅 The diamond axles really give it that final look I was looking for!! I am still running the stock Traxxas batteries, as I've been looking for 3s batteries that will fit and on this side of the pond it seems to be quite difficult!! If you do find something let me know as I would like to give a 3s battery I try to! And any information is appreciated. I just want to say thank you very much for watching and leaving such an awesome comment. Hope to see you again on another video. Until then, have an awesome weekend. 🤜💥🤛
@@rcfungamesYes I will let you know. I have definitely gone down a rabbit hole looking into the 3S batteries and chargers and connectors. Thanks for the response!
I finally got a 3S battery and a Lipo charger. The battery I went with is the Tattu 450 mah 45c 11.1v with a red jst plug. I bought a Lipo charger as well that has an adapter plug for this battery. I bought a 3 pack of jst to PH2.0 wire adapters so I can plug the battery into the MB100 ESC. I charged it up and this thing is fast! I still have good control while climbing, especially if I throttle back the trim using the Injora transmitter.
Daaaaaamn, this is a long video. Lol But I can certainly see why. Lol Can't wait to get my new chassis from Amszon cuz Injora had an issue taking my card...🤦🏼♂️ Rig looks pretty dope though, bro, looks like it came out great. 💪🏻
Yeah bro, it's a bit of a long one, but I really didn't want to cut out anymore as I'm sure lots of people will find each stage very helpful. This ended up being a very big job to film and edit!! I put lots of time and dedication to this video! I am glad to hear that you liked it ✌️☺️ Thank you so much for watching it through and commenting.
Thanks bro it's an awesome rig but no it's not a 1/10 this is a 1/18 scale truck. And the overall cost for this build was around 450€ But definitely worth every penny and definitely more cost effective than buying a traxxas TRX4M and then upgrading it. Hope that helps bro Thanks for watching man, really appreciate it 🤜💥🤛
Great video. How mutch summary cost this ready car? I will bay and build all from zero.. Don’t have nothing starts from.. but this your inspiration video too good 👍. Can feet on this shasee for example wrangler body?
Thank you bro, I really appreciate it man 🤜🤛 The cost of all the parts for this truck plus the electronics and battery, will cost you between $400 and 500 euros. And yes Wrangler body will also fit this chassis so will any other body made for the trx4m. I hope this helps. In the description of the video you will find the link to all the parts. I'm really glad that my video inspired you to build your own! Nonetheless I appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave me a comment. Thank you very much 🤜💥🤛
Thank you. What if get traxxas this type car, ready to run, and after upgrade parts? Or do you recomend start from parts like on your video? Yes, build process is something special therapy 🙂.
@@TonyGellaDrums personally I only by the actual Traxxas truks because of the bodys, I think it is much more cost-effective and fun to build your own. But if it is your first build, then I would say get a Traxxas trx4m and start by upgrading that, once you feel more confident, and get to know this platform before you build your own! 😉
Yeah.. it my first step. But want for real enjoy car with good performance. I see, mostly videos about upgrade cars.. I think, maybe right way start build car from zero and not spend money for low-medium stock parts :) most of them useless after upgrade 😅
Awesome brother kool build as always...i have this and the meus mb24 in my cart can't decides lol leaning towards this because i really dont run small 24 anymore all mine are longer than gladiator wheelbase and wider so they are more 1/18 like 😊
That's awesome you basically made them super capable!! When I've got a bit of time I really need to go and check out some of your content!! I really appreciate your awesome comment! Thank you so much oh yeah and thank you for watching bro. Hope you have an awesome day 🤜💥🤛
@@rcfungames Kool ya went with a grey ir40 swapping the comp bettle out can't wait ...sorry don't have any content on my channel not real tech savvy but always thought about making vids
Good morning. Do you prefer this one or the tarantula? I plan to make one like you in full injora but I'm torn between the two chassis? Thank you in advance for your answer . PS: sorry for my bad English I am French and I translate with ggogle.
Hello bro, sorry for the late reply. No worries the English on the message is perfect 👌 The tarantulas are great but you can compare it to fitting it to the lcg universal carbon fiber chassis and this awesome hard body half truck. If I was going to spend my money I would build the IR40 Injora half truck 👍 This is one of the most capable trx4m builds I have.
No I do not believe the lay down Servo set up is compatible with the tarantula chassis. It would be too narrow to accommodate the lay down Servo setup!
Thanks for this awesome video. I just completed the build with diamond axles, however the servo is making awkward rattling even when I don't turn on the remote. Channel 1 same -/+ as in your video. Any idea what could go wrong?
Thank you so much bro, I'm glad the video was helpful and that you enjoyed it. Sounds like the gyro on the receiver might be on. It's got a button on both sides of it one is for the light modes and the other one is for the gyro. You need to hit that button and try again hopefully it will get rid of your problem.
@@rcfungames Ok ok! Great tip! There's CH6 sensitivity dial knob at the top of the receiver. Noob question: What's the point of the gyro if I need to tune it down almost to minimum? Also is it ok to set EPA for steering and throttle to max value or is it going to wear the motors fast?
@@MarekGrodzicki you can run the motor at Max setting, but the servo make sure you adjust it to the point where it is reaching maximum turning but make sure it's not pushing after that as it will wear out the servo pretty quick. I normally have mine around the 75% mark on the controller. The best thing to do with the gyro is deactivating it by pressing the button on the side of the receiver as it will then completely deactivate it. 👍
@@rcfungames again thanks for the pro tips! For servo EPA i turned to the side as much as controller allowed, turned EPA low while still holding steering wheel at max position and from there, tried to increase EPA until the max turning point has been reached again. It was actually at the very end of the dial. Receiver manual on Injora's page is confusing - side buttons supposed to do everything but zero mention about gyro toggle unless I can't read Chinese-english.
@@MarekGrodzicki anytime bro, I know exactly how confusing the instructions are! This was the main reason I started making RUclips videos on this products. I will make sure to point out exactly where it is in my next video and how to turn it on and off. It took me a good little while to figure out all the functions and how everything worked. It would be so much easier if they actually put a decent set of instructions. I've got another controller and receiver I'm going to be reviewing! It's a 7 channel and it can save up to 30 different models. So let's see how that works 😅
Bro, that is a wpl b-24 cab over It is fully upgraded with all the metal upgrades. Soon I will make a mixed video of running all of them on the backyard course! 😉
Yes the reduction is in the transmission, make it a lot slower than stock gearing. And of course the new MB100 ESC from Injora is really awesome for slow crawling as it's got great modulation.
Thanks bro I really appreciate the support! And no it doesn't fit the high Trail chassis you would have to cut the back rails to make it fit! I would say it's easier just to pick up one of the universal lig chassis for your build. Everything else will fit perfectly
I definitely recommend building your own! It ends up saving a lot of money if you going to end up upgrading your rig completely like I do. If you go to the description of the video all the parts used for this build is there and all the links! If you purchase all those parts and follow the video, you can build your own from the Injora parts! And you actually end up with a good Rig with awesome electronics! If there's anything else I can do to help feel free to ask. Thank you very much for watching and commenting 🤜💥🤛
@@vizi0123 cool! you are really going to enjoy building this beast! It is really not complicated, and once you've have built this one, the next one will be even easier to build Very well observed I did forget to share that link to the transmission It's there now! but here it is www.injora.com/products/injora-complete-transmission-with-180-brushed-motor-for-1-18-trx4m
Thanks bro I am running the new 1.3 brass rims with there 70mm by 27mm swamp crawl tires www.injora.com/products/injora-1-3-70-27mm-brass-wheels-with-swamp-claw-tires-for-1-18-1-24-rc-crawler-car
Hello, as far as I know there's no kit available, but in the description of this video, you will find every single part used to make this build. The only thing you have to do is swap out the normal 4 millimeter extended axles from the list and replace it with the diamond 4 mm extended axles. Anything else, let me know.
@@rcfungames Hello my friend ! thank you for your great videos! I plan to go ahead and order the whole thing, but I need two confirmations. Do you think it would be interesting to replace the motor with an INJORA Micro Brushless MBL32 ESC & 1621 Purple Viper Motor Combo For 1/18 TRX4M? Furthermore, I saw that there were also INJORA +5mm Diamond Portal Axles With Lay Down Servo Mount & Links For 1/18 TRX4M. What is the difference with the 4mm DIAMONDs that you offer? Thank you for your various feedback! 😊❤
@@sylvain7973 hi buddy It's a pleasure, thank you for the support bro! Yes I definitely think the new brushless system from injora would be an awesome system for this truck. When I built this truck I used the only axles that were available, and that was the 4 mm extended axles with the lay down servo setup, there was also the same axle but with the stand-up server setup at the time. Of course I wanted to use the diamond axles but they took longer than I was expecting to be released So I ended up fitting them I think a week or two later in another video. I really like the extended Diamond axles!! I haven't had the pleasure to try the new portal axles! But I do have a sit on the way for my next build. ( Jeep Cherokee) I definitely think the portal axles would make for an interesting build, especially with the IR 40 body. So I would say go ahead 😁 Sounds like you're going to build the ultimate little beast! I really appreciate you watching my videos bro, and I really appreciate the comment. And I hope to see you again 👊😉
The front part of the chassis has to be narrower than the rear, as long as you have put in the chassis rails on the right side when building the rig it should all go together really well. Make sure you have done it exactly the same as I did in the video. I also had a bit of trouble figuring out this chassis but once I had it right it is the best one so far. If you still can't get it right find me on Facebook so that I can try and help.
@@rcfungames thank you for your quick reply!!! I followed every step I was just checking if I did it correctly and I did just waiting for the remote and skid plate and I’ll be Done!! Those tires and wheels have a nice weight. I am going to see if I can get a piece of diamond plant to cover the bed area. This is a sweet machine!
Yes you can use all your high Trail components as long as get the new universal LCG carbon chassis, or one of the normal lcg carbon fiber chassis for the Bronco or Defender.
Awesome just finished watching your video and just picked up my hightrail yesterday but I’m already going to modify it I really should’ve just bought the pieces and built it myself from scratch but it’s okay this is my first ever crawler and this video really made me want to upgrade to this chassis and build style, subbed and liked this video thank you for making such a great and informal video…cheers !!!
I don't know about it fitting the high Trail but I'm pretty sure you could cut the back part of the chassis to the right length so that you could adapt this body to it. You could also just pick up one of the new Universal chassis that would sort your problem out because everything else should work fine. Hope that helps 👍
I can't see why you wouldn't be able to, but you would definitely have to compensate the weight from the diecast body with as much brass as you can down low! They have just come out with an aluminum lcg chassis. I am going to be installing one today and making a video on it. I would probably go for the aluminum chassis instead of carbon fiber, with a diecast body.
Bro just check my channel out there are couple of trail videos already posted. Here is a link to the first trail testing I did after building it ruclips.net/video/MJCeHnkVjI8/видео.htmlsi=XqfT_PAqDqM_MOlL

Yeah if you just use the common super glue on that type of plastic it does like to make it brittle! I found this new super glue that these men for plastic with a pen and the normal tube. You rub a bit of the pen before you put the glue down and I tell you it sticks like crazy and doesn't cause the plastic to get all brittle and damaged. There are some really awesome products out there nowadays!
Good Vid, although ESC is an acronym for Electronic Speed Control, not abbreviation for Escape. At least not in this case. I really had to rewind and see, did this guy really just say escape when referring to the ESC.
Thanks bro, yeah man that's just the way I talk and I think you knew exactly what I was meaning anyway by saying it as escape! Not everybody in the world talks the same and that's what sets us all apart and makes it even more interesting to watch other people's content as you don't just watch it for the content but for the quirkiness of each person's personality! I'm sorry it upset you so much that I said escape! And just to let you know 15 years ago there was a brand of ESC that was actually called Escape!!! The brand was Anderson and it was one of the top brands back in the day. So me and my group of friends back in the day used to just refer to it as escape!!! 😅🤣🤣
@@stefank6179 if you mean the total cost of this build, it was around $400 to $450 bucks You can purchase everything from Injora. And the links, should be in the description of the video.
@@stefank6179 no Traxxas trx4m was used to build this truck. Everything was purchased from Injora. Carbon fiber lcg chassis, the IR40 body, transmission with motor, transmission mount, high clearance links, 4 mm extended axles, which I changed out for 4 mm extended Diamond axles as soon as they were available, rims and tires, carbon fiber battery tray, I used the MB100 ESC, and the six channel receiver transmitter combo, and the 11 kg coreless servo, I believe that's everything you need to do this build. And like that you don't have to spend the extra money on a Traxxas TRX 4 m and then throw all the stock parts away 👊😉
@@rcfungames Thanks, that makes perfect sense and clarified a lot of details I was unsure about. I've checked your list. Do i get the INJORA Carbon Fiber and Aluminum Battery Tray for 1/18 TRX4M, and also on the INJORA 59mm Long Threaded Oil Shocks with Brass End for 1/18 TRX4M did you get 4 in 59mm? Also, what's the part no. on the brass gearbox mount? Thx
@@stefank6179 I recommend the universal lcg carbon fiber chassis, and you've got two carbon fiber battery trays to choose from. And yes I recommend the 59 mm shocks with the brass ends. You can choose a set of four
Don't apologize for the length of the video I enjoyed every second of it. Another great build from you with all Injora parts.

I tried to do it as quick as possible but trying to film it all can be quite challenging!
And I didn't expect to spend so much time editing this video!
All in all it took me three full days to do the build, film, edit and upload!!

And there are so many aspects that I could do so much better!
Hopefully over the next videos it will get even better 😅

Did you have to swap connectors?
To buy all the parts like I did in this build, it will cost you around 400€
And of course you end up with a much better and more reliable product than buying it from Traxxas.
As I've got to say the quality you get out of the box is really not great.
If you want to buy a stock truck I recommend the Hobby Plus CR-18PRO Evo
Or the awesome Furi wagon from Furitek.
As the quality from these rigs are ways to period to the Traxxas straight out of the box
Injora should sell all these parts as a complete kit to build a whole rig
Bro I don't even understand why they don't sell their own ready to run versions! And yes a kit with all the parts needed to do a build like this! Would really be awesome.
I'll have a talk with him and see what they think about this idea 😉
@@rcfungamesthey aren’t allowed too sadly.
It’s all part of the fun buying them individually and upgrading as and when you need you go full bore straight away you leave nothing for you enjoy over time trust me done it plenty of times
❤
@@stepeat2991I agree. Plus they’d be like 1,000 dollar kits.

I am going to be using another set on my next 6x6 build
But any of the extended axles from Injora are awesome!
great little video.. new to your channel as I was curious to see how injora has come along with all their parts.
one thing I noticed that bothers me on one of my rigs is the high clearance links expose the driveshaft at each diff. My driveshafts are all scratched up and not knicks in them too cuz of that so I ended up going back to straight links... in some rigs if I could find plastic lower links I sent for that too; just easier to slide and not get stuck on rocks.
Thank you, I appreciate that 🙏
And welcome to RC fun and games thanks for watching and commenting 🤜🤛
Yeah, it annoys me too, the best you can do is put another spacer on the upper links to reduce the angle and how much of the drive shaft is sticking past the links.
What a great looking build mate, bloody epic ❤😮😊
Thank you so much bro, I really appreciate your awesome comment ✌️😉
Hi mate watching your video again as I’m going to be doing the build soon, and the links which I’m confused on the short straight ones and the short curved ones are for the front, and the long straight ones and the long curved ones are for the back I take it, because I’m new to building something like this
Hi bro, well I can't say I don't appreciate the support the more you watch the better it is for me 😁
You are going to really enjoy building this truck dude, and yes you are 100% right 👍
Short ones are for the front the long ones for the back, the straight ones go on the top, and the curved ones at the bottom 😁👌
Espetacular video💪

Loved the video very in-depth as this’ll be my next build, once I’ve finished the injora rock tarantula, and where abouts do you mount the esc and receiver
Thank you bro! I'm glad you liked the video and build ✌️😉
It turned out an awesome truck.
Thank you very much Javier 🤜🤛
Indeed you can, all you need is to buy a receiver that is compatible with your FlySky transmitter.
And it should be pretty much the same process as what I did.
I still believe port number one is for the servo and port number two for the esc.

Really appreciate it bro ✌️😉
Which tool do you use in the video?
Bro I used quite a few different tools individual you're going to have to be a little bit more specific! 😅
I guess you are referring to the small hex drivers?
You can find them on the Injora site.
This is a great build Ryan. I am eagerly waiting to build mine. Waiting for parts to arrive. Meanwhile I have couple of questions

i purchased all the same items you did or so i thought. did not get the lay down servo mount ? are there 2 different extended length front axles ?
Yes there are two different length axles available
There is the original length and the extended version and the version that I used on this truck is the new version with the lay down Servo setup.
To help prevent the torque twist or body lean
Check out the video I did on the shocks for the high Trail! I also set the IR 40 shocks up the same way!
And I've got to say it's working really great!
Will do bro! I will make a video soon on the scx24 deadbolt! Actually I think I'll get them all out and take them for a spin and of course talk about the upgrades and how they've held out over this time.

@@rcfungames awesome brother will do my shocks the same 💯👍
Awesome video!
Awesome, thanks for the quick reply!
The diamond axles really give it that final look I was looking for!!
I am still running the stock Traxxas batteries, as I've been looking for 3s batteries that will fit and on this side of the pond it seems to be quite difficult!!
If you do find something let me know as I would like to give a 3s battery I try to!
And any information is appreciated.

The tarantulas are great but you can compare it to fitting it to the lcg universal carbon fiber chassis and this awesome hard body half truck.

Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere but is the laydown servo mount compatible with the rock tarantula frame for the TRX4M?

Can I swap over all hightrail components to fit chassis ?
Yes you can use all your high Trail components as long as get the new universal LCG carbon chassis, or one of the normal lcg carbon fiber chassis for the Bronco or Defender.

Would it fit on the hightrail if modified?
I don't know about it fitting the high Trail but I'm pretty sure you could cut the back part of the chassis to the right length so that you could adapt this body to it.
You could also just pick up one of the new Universal chassis that would sort your problem out because everything else should work fine.
Hope that helps 👍
