Evil Masterplan:
- use orbital super cannon to launch projectiles so fast they are impossible to track/follow
- replace inert projectiles with cruise missiles, so they can aerodynamically break when reaching target and approach at snails pace
- build cannon next to ocean, biggest known reservoir to cooling fluid
- cool with air, place cooling units above ground
A+ guys.
Cruise missile payload is a way to get around the fact that it is anti-meteor weapon, like Stonehenge. Cooling were inside main body, we had to blow holes to get to them (I assume, they are series of pumps, pumping seawater from below). In addition, many of them were added later, when it was found that existing system does not provide adequate cooling.
I mean, we all know there needs to be balance in all things. So do the bad guys.
Oh and don't let any fighters hit the inside of the cannon

Hard to tell but it doesn't look like Garuda 2 has a co-pilot in his plane. Garuda 1 does though, so its still pretty weird that he's referred to as a singular person.

You can tell me what you want, but Shamrock being shot down, suriviving it but losing the family he couldn't stop talking about is still one of my personal top saddest moments in Ace Combat 6

Hey, hear me out here. We know there is a pilot whose wife and daughter were killed. What else do we know? We also know that there is a woman and daughter whose pilot husband/father was killed. Now, this might sound crazy but they could make it work by changing their surnames so that they each keep half of it. On the bright side, if they both had houses, bank accounts, etc, they could probably join it up and it would be like the war never happened. Just replace the dead and pool your belongings!

Yeah, the entire point is that there's supposed to be something after war.
Imagine if Shamrock was super Gung ho about war then doesn't hesitate giving it up at the end because he found something new? That would've been so much better.

That awkward moment you realize RIOs and WSOs must feel really awkward when you pull a casual 9Gs then decide to dive down a railgun barrel...then I realized Razgriz flew F-14s and these all have a RIO on board, must be awkward to be in a plane with a mute sociopath that doesn't have blood in his body.

I just realize that F-15 is a two seater aircraft. I can't imagine the shit in the pants of the co-pilot while Garuda-1 pulls these stunts like flying in the mouth of a friggin rail gun. No wonder why he's silentnthe entire time xD its equivalent of years of therapy flying with Garuda-1 xD

F-15 has at least 6 models (export versions, prototype, and tech demonstrators are excluded), the E/F is 2 seaters, likewise to Flanker family. Well, that's the flaw in AC universe that is the co-pilot just there like a dummy ragdoll. But in Assault Horizon he/she seems livelier since Bishop talks.
Although we don't hear it, every time Talisman pulls those maneuvers his co-pilot yells at him: _You scared the crap out of me!_

To this day, Ace Combat 6 is one of the most beautiful 360 games ever and holds it's own even now. Plus, the cutscenes. I just LOVE the take off scene of the remainders of the Strigon squad and the sound design in it

Best Ace Combat. At least for me, I see that Ace Combat veterans don't like this one but I adore it. The story, the aircraft, the gameplay...... Everything adds up.
Man I kinda feel bad for Strigon Team.
Unironically one of the hardest lines in any game I’ve ever heard
This mission is the final mission, but it's not Megalith, it's not The Unsung War, and it's not Zero. Chandelier's music is not an epic choir about how the hero saved the day, it sounds like a requiem.
If that's not enough, think about how dark this whole thing is. Estovakia lost the war, and knowing that, they're still willing to burn Emmeria to the ground even though it achieves nothing from their end. I believe that even though Gracemeria got destroyed by the missiles, Garuda and the other pilots would destroy the Chandelier anyway. There's also the irony that a weapon that was originally made to save lives ends up used to rain death on innocent civilians.
You know, that you can destroy Stauros shells *before* they are loaded into the Chandelier, therefore preventing it from firing? Gracemeria might end up not getting hit by any cruise missiles bar those launched in the starting cutscene.

In short, the Chandelier is a repeat of Stonehenge. At least Stonehenge got a shot at redemption in the end.
@@Devenix8527 Heck, Stonehenge actually done it's purpose and protected most of Usea from Ulysses. The Chandelier got the chance to do what it's meant to do, and only got used for... not even a war, but for evil.

Project Aces should've had the mission fail automatically if the player allowed a single warhead to get launched by the rail gun. It would've made more sense when the goal was to stop more Gracemerian casualties.

Strangereal's atmospheric pressure is apparently nearly double that of Earth's. Which explains _a lot._

I love how in this one they gave a little moment between the AWACS and the Character, which imo is really good and it brings the whole airforce so much closer
And just like that, Talisman too has suddenly disappeared from existence just like Blaze, Cipher, Reaper (Mobius One) and Trigger. . .
Goddamn AA is the most overpowered weapon in this game. Like, I never die to any missiles but I always get my ass handed to me in this mission by those damned random AA.

Just flying inside the Chandelier's main blast core while it's preparing to launch is a damn suicide. But you really pulled it off. That's some serious guts.
Out of all the Ace Combats this one had the best graphics. It's funny because Ace Combat Zero came out a year before, but the graphic differences are just weird at how amazing it is
Answer for that is that Ace Combat Zero came from a 6th generation console but this one is a 7th generation console reverse compatible to the Xbox One since January 19th when Ace Combat 7 came out
That's because Zero came out on PS2. 6 came out on Xbox360. PS2 was a console generation before XB360's console generation.

At 3:41 , even though this is the first time we hear Matilda speak, it shows her name. But when Melissa spoke for the first time, it introduced her as an unknown. My theory, Talisman knew Matilda before the war!
Well she said her name, but her husband was a fighter pilot in Gracemaria so they could know each other before, but who knows, after the war mostly likely since Shamrock visit them, it would be strange if he didnt present them to Talisman and other since all the squadron leaders seams to know each other pretty well.
Thus the tale of Talisman comes to end.

About 15 years ago... sounds like the belkan war but that was 20 years ago(in AC6 time)
Belkan War = 1995 ingame calender
Ulysses impact = 1999 ingame calendar
And the war you fight in AC6 starts 2015. "15 years ago..." in this game refers to the ulysses disaster.
I have finally, after all these years, been able to play this game via emulation on xenia. Really good game, some people grumbled back in the day but this stands up there with 4-zero

@@crazyman7671 it think is because by lore Estovakia blame Emmeria for the civil war in their country since the humanitarian aid were given only to one of the factions involved, specifically the Lyes United Front (Lyes being a general that overthrown the goverment in the post Ulysses period) the one that blockade a city that opposed its regime which starved to dead more than 200.000 civilians. This led to the various faction starting the hostilty against L.U.F. and each other, Emmeria contiuned to send humanitarian aids to Lyes for 4 years of the civil war and then stopped and after another two years the war ended with the victory of the Eastern Faction. There some in lore news paper that state that the Estovakian Foregin Minister publicly blamed Emmeria for prologin the civil war by assisting the L.U.F. they basically hate Emmeria

Regarding all the comments about Talisman's WSO...ever since I was a kid I've always wondered about our friends in the backseat. Razgriz's RIOs, Garuda's WSOs. Who are they and what are they like? Certainly might make for a good fanfiction.

- superweapon has huge tunnel, fly into to destroy
- flying fortress superweapon, destroy a shitton of engines to break
- whole nation gets taken in a whiffy, good thing we can hold one last airbase to mount the mother of all counterattacks from
- the goal of the game is never the goal of the game. After retaking the capital 1-3 more missions are coming
- wingman sacrificed/shot down/turns rogue at some point during the game
- weapon of mass destruction easily thwarted by missiles
im sure there is a ton more, but yeah. im okay with this as long as the theme/feel of the game is good. This one isnt quite up to par. 4, 5 and zero were great tho.

Although I manaand to get all planes, all color schemes for all planes, and all highest ranks for all missions on all difficulties, from Ace Combat 4 all the way to Ace Combat 6, still my all time favorite fighter is the Ace Combat 4's 156th tactical fighter wing SU37 Yellow. How I miss flying that. Maybe I should get back into Ace Combat.

Ace Combat 6 have a very weird, short and dissapointing campaing, but this last mission... despite of been a better version of Megalith in AC4, you can really feel the consequences of the Ulysses desaster that has cause in Strangereal... specialy with this soundtrack, this not something glorious or epic like in AC4, AC5 or Zero where you are saving the world or be a hero... this is sad and unfortunated, specially if you know that the commander in charge of the Chandellier lose his daughter in Gracemaria, it makes all this like a very tragic outcome.
Ace Combat 6 could have been the most dark entry of the series, if not where because PA made alot of mistakes in it's development.

the story in ace combat 6 just feels a bit lacking to me compared to ace combat 5.
To be fair, Ace Combat 5 is a super high bar to clear. Only one that might've done it is arguably Zero.
Ishi 123 but i think zero is the best coz you fight with a lot of squadron of aces plus there is the ace bar which you can become the mercenary,soldier and knight
Its also consideray shorter compared to Zero and 5 if it had the proper run time im sure there would have been more time to build the story a lot better
It's also the game with the least amount of playable aircraft if you look at it, maybe they're suffering from an issue behind the development such as budget or the hardware limitations
I kinda wonder where the old and experimental planes are, such as the F-5E, F-4E, F-15S/MTD, and the FALKEN. (Variants too. I wish they could have made the lineup of planes like 5, but with more planes.)

One of two things fit here. “Men unite with a hallowed saber, and in final reckoning the beast is slain.” or “from the depths of despair the Razgriz awakens it’s raven wings ablaze in magestic light.” The Razgriz embodying Talisman and the Chandelier.
I kid you not though, when I though Marcus died, my eyes watered.
So was it ever elaborated on why Ghost Eye overreacted to Shamrock going down? "ALL PLANES GET IN THERE AND SAVE HIM," yeah, like they're all just gonna drop what they're doing and fly over to where Shamrock went down. That whole moment was awkward and weird.
It's just that everyone liked Shamrock. He was a really good pilot loved by many, Ghost Eye included. He survived literally all the war, so I understand he overreacted so much.
I don't think he meant the pilots but the naval elements.

Yeah Emmeria is in ruins, Estovakia is doubly economically crippled and had another coup. Gracemeria was also bombarded by the Stauros and Aigaion, San Loma by Aigaion. Such a happy ending.
this one was so forced it kinda hurt. Man needs new daughter and wife. Woman with child needs new husband. Guy heard her voice on the radio once. Done deal.

Because he's a merc and mercs tend to be drawn into conflicts like this, especially ones with legendary reputations like Galm 1. You'll note that entire line was that his bonus would be multiplied by 10 so odds are Emmeria hired him to aid them with his stellar reputation alongside Moebius who is from a military that is likely allied with Emmeria.
As great as this mission is... it's basically a clone of Megalith from AC4.

Use the F15 with the XAGM. it's the path of least resistance on higher difficulties.
I managed to do it after some practice, and then I did it again on hard with F-22 and SOD. That’s when I realized you had to play the ENTIRE campaign on hard, not free mission. And thus, the cfa-44 is mine
