This was the first Goosebumps book I read in probably 25 years. I had seen one of your other videos where you mentioned this one having the goriest scene you’d read in a Goosebumps book-and man you weren’t lying. Had to set the book aside because that shit gave me the heebie-jeebies

Those are one of the books I would like to add in my collection. You stating that it is somewhat more mature than any of the other books, makes it even more intriguing.
Definitely think your jaw will hit the ground with this one hahah. It was released at a time when Scholastic was testing the waters more, to see if the series could sell well by having more blood in the books. To this day, I’d say it’s one of the scariest, if not the scariest, books Stine has ever released hahah. If you read it, I hope you’ll enjoy it! Happy new year!

This book is TERRIFYING, I almost skipped the first part because of how gorey it was and the second part was kinda sad to me because of how desperate lu ann was to get the mask off and the 3rd part was just fun to me, I thought the twist on who was the gravedigger was too predictable but THAT ENDING, I was shocked when I read the part where it talked about a green monster coming towards the pumpkin farm. I feel like the twist was too plain though because it happens every book.

I always wanted to buy the Haunted Mask but after reading this book ... not anymore... I mean why take the risk... if that doesn't tell you how freaky this book is then I don't know what will
I don't want an adult series simply because Goosebumps is a kid's series, and should always be a kid's series. Adults have enough horror stuff to watch, and if they made Goosebumps into an adult's show, they'd just fill it with gore, nudity, and sexuality (which none of that should be necessary for a scary movie). I think people are wishing for something they wouldn't be happy with, at the end of the day. The charm of the books and older show was that it was for kids in the cheesiest, silliest possible way--and yet we were all scared of it, growing-up. Thank you for watching! God bless you!

I bought some Goosebumps books from ThriftBooks last week, this was one of them. I ordered the hardcover copy, just got it today and to my surprise it ended up being a signed copy. I thought that was pretty cool. I’m excited to read this. I’m reading the first Haunted Mask right now, might read the 2nd one then this one after. Idk yet. Lol take care and God bless!

I wish that R.L. stine makes a goosebmbs adult series for making it more scary.
