There are so many good books that its hard to choose my favorites. Attack of the Jack o'Lanterns is up there and the show for that book is my favorite one. A shocker on shock street being that high surprised me, its a good one but didn't expect it to be that high. The show on it was decent too. What is the discord that you mentioned btw?
I've not yet read all the original 62 books unfortunately, so far I've only read 7 The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight Monster Blood 2 Attack Of The Mutant Deep Trouble Vampire Breath The Horror At Camp Jelly Jam Stay Out Of The Basement
Back in the day, I was out riding my bike. And I came across an abandoned car on the side of the road that had the windows rolled down. A Volkswagen Beetle. And the back seat was filled with Goosebump books. There were lots of doubles. I came back the next day and it was still there. So I dug through and grabbed all the books I hadn't read yet and took them home. I read them and returned them. But that car sat there for many months and eventually the books all disappeared. Which fair enough as the books started getting ruined from the rain.

I don’t remember anything about the books and I took a random guess and guessed my hairiest adventure lol idk why. Don’t know anything about it and never read it.
I really want to get back into Goosebumps and be able to share them with my son if he shows interest in them. I know that I really don’t read a lot of the books but did watch the show. From my recollection here were my favorite of the books from what I did read. One Day at Horrorland The Beast from the East Ghost Beach
I hear people my age say that so often. I’m still not sure which one I like the most-since I spent more time with Goosebumps instead of AYAOTD. Both are so much fun, at the end of the day!
Watching this is making me wanna reread a couple old books. I have all my original books I got in the 90s, and I'm having a hard time picking which one to read. Ghost Beach, Say Cheese and Die, Haunted Mask, Haunted Mask 2, and The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight. Those are my top 5, and I have read any of them since like 7th grade (1997). My wife is going to clown me for reading these.
The cover of A Shocker On Shock Street always reminds me of the Universal Studios theme park. And the cover of Deep Trouble always makes me think of the opening scene from the movie JAWS while it’s really a book more about Mermaids and it’s plot is more similar to the movie Splash.
Wow these originals are hard to find? I grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s and have all the original goosebumps books. And even some of the gysg ones
I actually havent read any goosebumps books in a long time. The 4 i remember imo had to be the best. Night of the living summy, haunted mask, ghost beach, it came from beneath the sink. All other books i dont remember until i see them and i vaguely remember reading a specific part but thats it lol. The others actually terrified me
I think when people rank Haunted Mask over Haunted Mask II, they are thinking more of the TV episodes. The TV version of Haunted Mask was the best one of the series hands down while Haunted Mask II TV version was just ok. Carly Beth is hands down the best child protagonist in Goosebumps history.
because of your channel I actually picked up a couple of the hard copys of goosebumps again 😁👍 that's where I stopped though idk about the horrorland and other sub series
I recently got into reading these again as an adult as I was obsessed as a kid and wanted to see how they would hold up. The most controversial thing I’ll say about one book in particular that everyone hated was that, chicken chicken, isn’t bad at all. I want to do a ranking of my own someday and I have to admit it probably be in the top half and not the bottom lol. Something about a farm setting gives me the chills and getting cursed, the body horror, idk just didn’t really mind it. Pretty good list! By far my favorite of the series tho is the haunted school
No way I can fit my whole ranking here lol, I have a document for it but youtube eats links so I can't share it lol. I'll just leave a few comments about all this: I have My Hairiest Adventure in the middling ones, it's okay, it's decently written and has proper foreshadowing and a fun/silly twist and the metaphor is kinda interesting but it's boring and doesn't really do anything with it. My bottom is Monster Blood 4, easily. Just insulting, has all the problems of Monster Blood and amps them up, so terrible all the way through, and it being the last just makes it worse,. The other MB sequels are close by as is Say Cheese and Die Again, now that one's insulting and awful in other ways. Be Careful what you wish for i put as positive, we talked about this before, I liked it. But I like It came from beneath the sink more,. that one's just straight up good. Monster Blood 1 is alright, compared to the sequels it's amazing so I can't be hard on it, it's fine-ish. I love Andy and some of the Monster Blood stuff. Other rough ones for me are Go Eat Worms and Bad Hare Day, then there's Revenge o0f the Lawn Gnomes which is boring. Deep Trouble 2 is in my lesser area, just dumb but Deep Trouble 1 is quite up there, pretty good. Legend of the Lost Legend is another near my bottom, really dumb. My Best Friend Is Invisible is another especially bad one. As far as better ones go, I like the Dummy stuff fine but I only love the second one really and 3 is my least favorite of the og ones, a let down with a bleh ending. My top 3 are Haunted School, Haunted Mask and Welcome to Camp Nightmare (the twist is great, i can write an essay on that lol), love all 3, and their placements have changed over the years. Other favorites include How to Learned to Fly, Calling all Creeps and Stay out of the Basement. That's my top 5 basically, really good ones. Outside of those, there's Ghost Camp and I Live in your basement as top 10s. Curse of the Mummy's Tomb is not good but Return was a decent improvement. Sequels in general are usually not the best in these, Haunted Mask 2 I find to be just okay, a letdown frankly, fairly flawed with a bad dumb ending lol. Ghost Beach I like fine, it's just that not much stands out about it. HorrorLand I like but it's never been a big favorite, love the episode though. You Can't Scare Me isn't all that good, it's not bad but it was just dull, too much slowly paced pranking, the episode is quite good though, such a big step up. Shock Street i find meh, too random. Alright, I think that's it, good look at everything here, bad and good. Feels weird for you to finally be done with the og 62 after so long. That's it, the end.
I find it hard to rank the books. The ones that really stuck with me are the girl who cried monster, piano lessons, werewolf of fever swamp. I loved both haunted mask and attack of the jack o lanterns. As a youngster I remember the ghost next door, ghost beach, and the cuckoo clock of doom really making me scared. I liked be careful what you wish for and was surprised you ranked it so low. I agree with your ranking of ghost beach in the top 10. It’s hard to dethrone the haunted mask but if I had to choose a number one besides that I would actually say piano lessons can be m-rder was that book. I can still hear the piano playing softly and see the ghost swaying in the moonlight. That’s the one I remember. The title made me feel like I was really reading something naughty as a kid. Of course looking back it’s a totally innocent book but it’s a very provocative title for a kids book for sure. My least favorite book? My harriest adventure. We both agree on that one. Horrible book. And it’s funny it came right after the most underrated book attack of the mutant. Should have done attack of the mutant 2
Be Careful What You Wish For is actually a personal favorite of mine. I know it's objectively not nearly as good as a lot of the classics like Haunted Mask, Stay Out Of The Basement, or Say Cheese And Die, but it's still got a certain, I don't know, quirkiness, I guess? that I really like. Camp Jellyjam is great too, especially the ending reveal.
My top 5 1. Stay out of the Basement- Best written IMO and has a great twist 2. Ghost Beach- I really liked the characters, and has the best twist in the series 3. Welcome to Camp Nightmare- I have a lot of nostalgia for this one as my dad used to read it to me 4. Attack of the Masked Mutant- I am a big comic book fan, so I liked this one 5. Deep Trouble- A very fun adventure book Worst for me is Monster blood 4
My first ever goosebumps book I git was because of the cover and imo was the best, Say Cheese and Die. The atmosphere and the setting was really spooky and it's the most adult of the series as it's the only book tht I can think of where someone actually dies (thought they should have sprinkled more of taht in, but I'm guessing censors?). Also that book was actually a dedication to the TZ episode one unusual camera.
Hey there michael, I been reviewing goosebumps episodes.. you might appreciate it cause I live in the region it was shot in and visit the locations in my videos
Excellent ranking! 🙂 Go Eat Worms is my guess, let’s see. Oh, I see, My Hairiest Adventure. 😂 I kind of enjoyed it, it was goofy in a good way and the snowy winterish atmosphere was pretty cool in my opinion but hey, to each their own. I don’t really hate any of the 62 books, well, Cheese and Die - Again maybe would be the worst one imo.
Top 5 for me in no particular order: The Haunted School Welcome to Camp Nightmare Shocker on Shock Street The Cuckoo clock of Doom The Girl Who Cried Monster These had the best twists for me back in elementary school.
This is a subjective list sir. That means it is impossible to be wrong. No one should be giving you "hate" for your choices, just a simple debate interjecting their own opinion into the conversation.
Unpopular opinion but the very first Night of the living Dummy is my favorite. It was the one that creeped me out the most even though Slappy isn't really the main antagonist and he is my favorite goosebumps villian. My second one would have to be One day at Horrorland which ended up surprising me because I really disliked the episode so figured I would dislike the book as well
I REALLY LOVE GOOSEBUMPS, BUT IT IS HARD TO BUY A FULL COMPLETE SET FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE TO BUY THEM ALL SEPARATELY, WHICH IS JUST A PAIN!
So there are bootlegs of the classic books and the GYG books that are typically printed in India, and then sold on the internet as original releases. That usually bothers a lot of collectors, but I don’t mind having that option, since it’s usually reasonably priced and I love to read the stories hahaha 😂

@@JNB0723 Yeah, me, too, mate. Thanks for replying!
I love ghost camp too, but I think welcome to camp nightmare is better, it’s in my top 15 though
I'm so happy that my two favorite books so high up on your list
The curse of camp cold lake is my personal fav out of all of them .
Me too
Love long form goosebumps vids, especially rankings! Great vid mate.
Hey, man, thanks for watching! I’ve always preferred long form and unedited videos-whether it be watching them or making them. They seem less fake, in my opinion. Many people call it lazy, and it typically is, but some of my favorite reviewers are at their best, when they do it (Goosebumps Completionist and Ramboraph4life are my best examples lol).
Thanks for watching, dude! God bless!

Thank you for this ❤I love goosebumps, brings me back to my childhood
I was obsessed with goosebumps as a kid! I would check them out from my small towns library as well as the VHS tapes. The episodes gave me nightmares but I loved it. Its so nice to see that there is an adult community that collects for that nostalgic feeling like I do! I have a small collection that is still growing. I am almost 30 and I still re read the books. I have been asked before why I love kids books so much and it did hurt my feeling. I love that 90s Halloween time nostalgic feeling. Your never too old for goosebumps! I love your videos!
I’m glad someone else feels that way, dude! And thank you for watching! I really appreciate it, man!

Amazing ranking of the original goosebumps book series.
Night of the living dummy 3 is my absolute favorite and when you were talking about your memories of goosebumps and your grandma I can totally relate I lived with my grandma when I was a kid and I was about 5 when goosebumps first came on tv so it's been a huge part of my life my grandma isn't with me anymore so I can relate how you felt but me and my wife are slowly reading the books together it will be a long journey since I have a kid and another one on the way but whenever I finish the original 62 books I'll do a rank video as well but great job great video
I used to hate "Be Careful What You Wish For", but as I aged, I loved it more and more.
Also, I love Ghost Camp. It's so underrated in the community. Writing in this gets better as it goes- and plots points all tie together.

Very nice review. I beg to differ on the Let's Get Invisible cover. It's cool to see the kid partially there and it goes right with the story line.
congrats Michel on finishing the origanal 62 that is an amazing thing to accomplish for this channel could you please review the give yourself goosebumps book escape from the carnival of horrors please and thank you

I've not yet read all the original 62 books unfortunately, so far I've only read 7
The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight
Monster Blood 2
Attack Of The Mutant
Deep Trouble
Vampire Breath
The Horror At Camp Jelly Jam
Stay Out Of The Basement
you cant scare me was a great book its really underated
The one thing I don’t like is how expensive some of these books are for no reason and I don’t really like Jelly Jam
Great ranking but I think The Horror at Camp Jellyjam could've been a little higher brother lol.
I swore up and down I knew ghost camp would be number one so I was pleasantly surprised but just for kicks I'll give you my top 7 best and worst
The best

6.Attack Of The Mutant

Awesome vid!! Still have my goosebumps in my closet 😂
You already know my favorite one man ;)
It's pretty good. Like the twists, and the scene with him eating the bugs was really well written- plenty of descriptive imagery.
I think one of the yugioh animes did a episode . With a kid with a camera that lets him see the future. I forgot what series .
So glad you saw the genius in Ghost Camp. My 3 top are Ghost Beach, Ghost Camp, and straying from the OG series I loved the 12 Screams of Christmas.

I don’t remember anything about the books and I took a random guess and guessed my hairiest adventure lol idk why. Don’t know anything about it and never read it.
Hey Michael can you do a episode ranking if all the tv episodes god Bless
I really want to get back into Goosebumps and be able to share them with my son if he shows interest in them. I know that I really don’t read a lot of the books but did watch the show. From my recollection here were my favorite of the books from what I did read.
One Day at Horrorland
The Beast from the East
Ghost Beach
I love seeing how everyone's rankings are so different from each others
I loved the Goosebumps books as a kid, but thought that Are You Afraid of the Dark was a better TV show than the Goosebumps TV show.
The ghost next door and the curse of camp cold lake will always be my favorite books lol.
God willing you if you can do it will you rank every single book ever released
Wow these originals are hard to find? I grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s and have all the original goosebumps books. And even some of the gysg ones
I read one day at horrorland in the comic adaptation
I actually havent read any goosebumps books in a long time. The 4 i remember imo had to be the best.
Night of the living summy, haunted mask, ghost beach, it came from beneath the sink.
All other books i dont remember until i see them and i vaguely remember reading a specific part but thats it lol.
The others actually terrified me
Hey Michael my favorite R.l.stine's the haunting hour the series books
Collection DVDs pack
From adriana Parker
I think when people rank Haunted Mask over Haunted Mask II, they are thinking more of the TV episodes. The TV version of Haunted Mask was the best one of the series hands down while Haunted Mask II TV version was just ok. Carly Beth is hands down the best child protagonist in Goosebumps history.
because of your channel I actually picked up a couple of the hard copys of goosebumps again 😁👍 that's where I stopped though idk about the horrorland and other sub series
I loved + of these books. Good choices. I have a lot of favorites in these.
I’ve only read books 1-36 I don’t think I will ever really read the rest I’ve sort of grown out of it
I recently got into reading these again as an adult as I was obsessed as a kid and wanted to see how they would hold up.
I think number 62 is "you can't scare me". (It's in my opinion in 62)
5:10 LOL I see what you did there
😂
Great voice and commentary 👍
@@luiscruz4220 hey, thanks, man! Appreciate you for watching!
No way I can fit my whole ranking here lol, I have a document for it but youtube eats links so I can't share it lol. I'll just leave a few comments about all this:
I have My Hairiest Adventure in the middling ones, it's okay, it's decently written and has proper foreshadowing and a fun/silly twist and the metaphor is kinda interesting but it's boring and doesn't really do anything with it.
My number 1 pick is werewolf of fever swamp
I've been meaning to do a video like this myself. I'm just too damn lazy. Lol
My Top 5:
5. Return of the Mummy
4. Night of the Living Dummy 2
3. Ghost Beach
2. Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb
1. The Haunted Mask
“Who likes that piece of crap” 😂
My top 5
1. Stay out of the Basement- Best written IMO and has a great twist
2. Ghost Beach- I really liked the characters, and has the best twist in the series
3. Welcome to Camp Nightmare- I have a lot of nostalgia for this one as my dad used to read it to me
4. Attack of the Masked Mutant- I am a big comic book fan, so I liked this one
5. Deep Trouble- A very fun adventure book
Worst for me is Monster blood 4
My first ever goosebumps book I git was because of the cover and imo was the best, Say Cheese and Die. The atmosphere and the setting was really spooky and it's the most adult of the series as it's the only book tht I can think of where someone actually dies (thought they should have sprinkled more of taht in, but I'm guessing censors?).
Also that book was actually a dedication to the TZ episode one unusual camera.
Say Cheese And Die is such a good one-that’s quite a book to start with, as an intro to Goosebumps hahaha
@michaelgoosebumpsfan9934 did that evey happened again where a character died? You've read more than me.
@@nicp2344 Oh, absolutely! You should read Wanted: The Haunted Mask! That was one of the most brutal deaths I’ve ever seen in anything! Lol

I watched it and I liked it. I haven't read it yet but can't wait to either.
love the rating!

2. The Werewolf of Fever Swamp
3. The Haunted Mask II
4. A Night in Terror Tower
5. Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes

Top 5 for me in no particular order:
The Haunted School
Welcome to Camp Nightmare
Shocker on Shock Street
The Cuckoo clock of Doom
The Girl Who Cried Monster
These had the best twists for me back in elementary school.
Those are good picks, dude!
I like how alot of people have very different top 5s but i loved "dont go to sleep" it hit me hard as a kid sad it got lower then monster blood
My second one would have to be One day at Horrorland which ended up surprising me because I really disliked the episode so figured I would dislike the book as well
What do you mean by Indian copies sadly enough. 8:47
As in, they are bootlegs, not official releases hahah
I REALLY LOVE GOOSEBUMPS, BUT IT IS HARD TO BUY A FULL COMPLETE SET FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE TO BUY THEM ALL SEPARATELY, WHICH IS JUST A PAIN!
I love a shocker on shock Street
What do you mean when you say "indian copy"?
So there are bootlegs of the classic books and the GYG books that are typically printed in India, and then sold on the internet as original releases. That usually bothers a lot of collectors, but I don’t mind having that option, since it’s usually reasonably priced and I love to read the stories hahaha 😂
