    Great video bro. Great info. However I think you shouldn’t have the canon m50 to represent DSLR and mirrorless category those are very basic consumer cameras. There are many pro summer DSLRs and mirrorless from MFT to APS-C , Full frame … from many brands in any budget … other than that I think the video was great

      Thank you for watching! My goal was to provide just one example. I typically use a $6000 Canon C70 but there are many videographers and enthusiasts who are just getting into livestreaming. This is of course relative to every scenario and each person will need to make the decision for their own needs.

    An amazing budget live streaming camera is the Panasonic Lumix FZ500. One inch sensor, 20x servo zoom. $900 new. It's essentially a Panasonic UX180 ($2,500+) camcorder in a mirrorless body and kind of a cross between that and a GH4/5 with features like flat shooting profiles, 120fps variable frame rate, etc. So it's not just for streaming.

    All good advice, especially for the beginner. Allow me to add, if you are planning on using a Blackmagic ATEM Mini switcher, especially the Extreme version, maybe you should consider a Blackmagic studio camera or two. They have nice, big monitors built in on the back with hoods and you can control them with the software that controls the ATEM switcher. If someone is using a Sony or Canon ENG/EFP style camera, they often have a LANC port on them. This allows you to get a zoom rocker/focus control that attaches to the tripod arm and plugs into the LANC port, giving the camera operator the ability to zoom the lens from behind the camera and control focus with the push of a button. I also prefer two arms on a tripod because it makes it much easier to pan and tilt. Thanks for the info Zephan.

    how about camera for 24 hrs live stream

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  Месяц назад

      @@JACCAdmin PTZ cameras can do it, mirrorless camera may run into overheating issues depending on the camera, the ideal would be a workhorse cinema camera so you get the best of both worlds, a camera that has built in active cooling and interchangeable lenses but it’ll all come down to budget, what you’re comfortable with operating and what best suits the type of work you’re capturing.

    Best video on the internet about selecting a livestreaming camera 🔥

    Good video and really good info in there.
    But sorry, I really need to correct you on one thing, you can not call those small consumer camcorders you talk about ENG nor even compare them to ENG cameras, they are completely different level of cameras for different level of use for different level of users, camcorders do not come close in quality and usability. There are real reasons for why they cost so much more then those camcorders and professionals use ENG in stead of camcorders.
    ENG cameras are still the top for ENG use and that is why they are still produced coming with new ENG cameras.
    Don´t take me wrong, still there are lots of good info in there.

    Question - what promoter are you reading from, we have one we use (for clients) and it hasn’t been upgraded for a while. Or do you memorized your content and what you want to say and then just cut and recut every once in awhile to gather your footage and video. Cheers

I watched so many videos and looked up and researched plenty of cameras and I didnt really get any help or found anything that interested me. PLEASE if you see this help me if you dont mind id really really appreciate it, Thank you.

      You won’t find a whole lot at that price point. The Sony ZVE-10 could work but you’ll need to spend more on a good lens.

    For Live-streaming outdoor sporting events where you are far from studio filming the action in real time with a lot of ground to cover (Ie marathon, running ) and have to use wifi what cameras do you use? (On budget do use smartphones? Camcorders?)

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  2 года назад

      It's going to be very hard to cover an event like that without a budget. Wireless transmitters typically have a range of 500-1500 feet for wireless video. You'll most likely need a cellular bonding unit for an internet connection which is not going to be cheap either. Most companies that are covering marathon type events have massive budgets to cover something like that. I don't see a cheap or easy way to cover an event like that.

      Any camera can do that but it’s going to be a matter of getting a weather proofed enclosure for it. Unfortunately that’s not something I have experience with.

    Presently, I live-stream with two GH5 cameras and one GH6. However, I am concerned about events in low light. The dilemma I have is whether to add two GH5s cameras to the Panasonic inventory, or should I add two or three more BlackMagic pocket cinema cameras to the BMPCC6K I already have. The goal is to have at least one 4-camera setup.
    Suggestions and recommendations are welcomed!

      Why not add some lighting to your kit? We bring aputure spotlights frequently.

      @@zephanmoses thanks for the reply. I do have light kits that I use when the client/venue’s budget permits. Unfortunately, some locations without sufficient lighting do not allow for me to bring my lights. In those situations, I try to find ways to provide footage without too much noise, especially when I’m not the editor for the project.

      @zephanmoses  2 года назад +1

      @@harlemwoodstudios I can understand that. I will say having cameras with bigger sensors is a huge help. Panasonics are micro 4/3 so they've never really been a good option in low light. I don't even feel like the Blackmagic cameras are all that great either to be honest. You can only go so far in the camera.

    The only camera that has live streaming as a listed feature is GH5II… Which has unlimited recording, and you can control a power zoom lens from the Lumix Sync app. Battery lasts for a few hours too. With an f1.2 lens, low light is not even an issue. The price of the GH5II also makes it the most attractive solution…

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  2 года назад

      I would never use a camera’s built in feature for live streaming. It’s too limiting and doesn’t allow you to prevent massive failures down the line. You’d also have no ability to add in graphics, control your bitrate, playback videos, and more.

    • @superzero4250
      @superzero4250 2 года назад

      @@zephanmoses Does that mean you have experience with the GH5II and it’s just released firmware update to solidly make such a claim..?
      It just seems to me that the “new” Panasonic Lumix box cameras and now especially the GH5II are made to address the very thing this video was about. The algorithm literally dropped your video in my feed, just as I finished watching one about Live Streaming with Lumix cameras, specifically the GH5II.
      Which by the way, was live-streamed including with Q&A.

      @@superzero4250 I have experience with those cameras but you can’t do in camera what we do for our livestream shows. A big part of what we offer is a broadcast quality event for our clients and that sets us apart from the streamers who just pop up a camera and call it a day. We’re using multiple cameras, graphics, video playbacks and more to make a television quality event. You simply can’t do that in one camera streaming.

    • @superzero4250
      @superzero4250 2 года назад

      @@zephanmoses As I mentioned, the steaming broadcast I as watching a day ago just before your video, seemed to address the majority of your concerns in their just released 2021.11.30 firmware update.

    • @zephanmoses
      @zephanmoses  2 года назад

      @@superzero4250 I don’t think it would make the cut in our setups unfortunately. I haven’t seen what recent updates brought to the device but I would still never stream directly from a single camera. We typically incorporate anywhere from 3 to 8 cameras in our streaming setups along with other features. It might work for some people but I don’t believe it would stack up against what we’re doing on a larger scale.
