    Hi! The questions for this video were pulled from qnas I did on twitter and patreon, but there were a few questions from there that didn't make the cut for this so I made a vid answering those for patreons! Some of the questions were things like do genetics matter in aiming, should I predict or react, how do underaiming and edge tracking differ, a brief overview of tension management and a few others. I plan on covering most of these in videos here in the future but in the meantime u can check it out there if you are interested

      Hello viscose, I have a question, there's 1 specific exercise that I enjoy more than all others in aimlabs: pokeball, medium size wall, many small targets. How bad would it be if 90%+ of my aim routine was just repeating this exercise? I practice it in different ways, focusing on speed, on smoothness, on acceleration/desacceleration, underflicking, fluidity, etc.
      I have fun in it and I love being top 3 weekly every week and progressing by playing it a lot. The amount of time needed to invest in many other scenarios is frustrating, so I only do tracking and dynamic clicking occasionally to complement.
      How bad am I fucking up? Is it a complete waste of time or am I still getting a lot better at mouse control, just going a bit slower than people who train in a very 'complete' way?

    • @ODIECODY1
      @ODIECODY1 24 дня назад

      @@sebaba001 you most likely enjoy it because you find it easier than others, i would say you should work on other aspects of your aim on different scenarios. practicing 1 scenario is like practicing for a single gunfight ingame, you only run into a specific scenario 1 in X games. i would suggest using voltaic benchmarks and finding what weaknesses you have in your aim and then pick scenarios based on that.

    I have some very important questions as well:
    - When do I know that I'm on a skypad?
    - Is it good to infuse my mousepad with pickle juice for more control?
    - Have you heard about the bowling-min-max method? It's when you put a cucumber on either side of the mousepad to act as guard rails.
    - What does pot of greed do?
    - Is it good to use resin on the back of the mouse to make your hand stick?
    Oh yeah and since changing to the LGG saturn from the Aqua Control Plus, I can definitely confirm that mousepads are more important than some people realize. Oh yeah, and if you'd ever want the Saturn inside your spreadsheet. It's "textured" on the verge of abrasive, barely any static friction, quite a bit of dynamic friction with a soft amount of stopping power. I know that probably doesn't mean anything in your sheet since it's based on numbers, but as a guideline, it might work.
    And lastly, SCOD is more revolutionary than people think, because game studios might be inclined to add SCOD into their games to prevent hall effect users from gaining too much of a competitive advantage. I would either not allow it in pro play, or wait until games have it implemented to allow it.

    As a former college athlete, I like the way you described the warmup vs practice. In swimming, your practice focuses on developing your technique, but also pushing you to your limit and then pushing that limit further and further. Warmup at a meet or competition is simply to get the blood flowing or "warm" so you aren't jumping straight into your event with your muscles not ready/not in the mode of working. You might put effort into a warmup but you aren't trying to tire yourself out.

    With equipment, there is a bit of diminishing returns with more expensive gear. The difference you will see from going from 60 fps to 144 is greater than the difference you would see from 144 to 220 or whatever.
    I also appreciate the statement about the most important thing is going to be time put in. For any skill, the main determining factor in how good people get is the time they put into practicing. There is a good veritasium video about how to improve at any task and I think a lot of it is relevant here.

    Feel like some people (myself included) think a lot on mice and mousepads. But one thing I feel like most people think, is that having a bad mouse or mousepad gives them the thought of “no point in trying until etc” I personally have really good scores on voltaic despite having a bad (dogshit) mousepad.
    Naturally when I do switch I will do better, but if I didn’t already work on getting to that level beforehand switching to better stuff wouldn’t make a difference.
    And I feel like the thought of being held back, holds people back the most.

    To add to the point at 10:39, If you find yourself thinking that your setup or choice of peripherals is holding you back, I encourage you to pick up a Fighting Game, where pretty much none of that matters.
    If you think you need an arcade stick or some other kind of special controller to do so, you really don't. Normal Xbox & Playstation controllers work just fine, and leverless arcade controllers, which are considered some of the best FG controllers, are pretty much glorified keyboards anyway.
    Playing a Fighting game really does help with your mental around external factors like this, so I hope people at least think about this.

    • @pitl
      @pitl 2 месяца назад +2

      You should definitely upgrade your peripherals to get to a certain baseline though, since a 5 dollar office mouse on a bad mousepad and 60hz monitor would definitely be considered as a limiting factor. Not to say that it's impossible to get good with those specs, but it will definitely be a lot harder.

    • @Cryfails
      @Cryfails 2 месяца назад

      I agree with your sentiment. And think that most players shouldn't worry about peripherals.
      However, there is a competitive advantage to having the best technology. Leverless arcade sticks have been proven to have an advantage in frames and inputs than other controllers, besides maybe a keyboard. So if someone with a high skill level wants an advantage then upgrading would be worth it IMO

    • @logantaylor1834
      @logantaylor1834 2 месяца назад

      @@pitl I'll agree with you there. Though I'd guess that the amount of money that you'd need to put in to get those areas up to an acceptable level (without touching your PC) is more or less the same as my arcade stick (roughly $100, and even then, an arcade stick is more of a "feel" thing than anything else). I'm not sure though, I don't know too much about PC gaming (I'm a console peasant).

    • @logantaylor1834
      @logantaylor1834 2 месяца назад

      @@Cryfails I do see where you're coming from, though that largely doesn't matter unless you're playing for money, where people are taking all of the advantages they can get (even if there aren't many in the first place). You can get a leverless controller and shave off as much input delay as you want, but the beauty of fighting games is that they can be played on nearly anything. I play on a really bad TV and still get somewhere in Street Fighter.

    Hi great video once again! I know you mentioned that different sensitivities cater to different games. For example, higher sens being preferred in overwatch because of the fast paced and all over the screen gameplay, and lower sens being preferred in more accuracy demanding games like csgo and valorant.
    Shouldn’t high sens players switch to low sens in csgo and valorant to play at their highest or most optimal levels? for example Demon1 in valorant plays using 160 edpi vs forsaken who plays on a sens that exceeds 700 edpi. Both are incredible players, however, wouldn’t forsaken benefit more if he lowered his sensitivity? You don’t really need a sens so high that you can do like four 360s with one mouse swipe 😂

      ty!! a lot of people talk about using higher sens to practice as a universal positive and while it does have benefits i think that framing is a bit misleading
      what changing your sens when training does is shift the muscle group that training is focused on. for precision focused tasks, decreasing your sensitivity increases the margin of error for your movements and because of that will make those tasks slightly easier, so training on a higher sensitivity will make the tasks harder as well as shifting focus to muscle groups more suited to fine control like the wrist and fingertips. The thing is though, the same applies the other way where tasks that are focused on speed will often be easier on a higher sens, and by playing them at a lower one you can work on your arm speed. it really just depends on your goals and what you are playing.

      it's pretty simply 24-27 inch with 27 being in the uncomfortable range for more people but is getting increasingly popular

    Ik its a stupid question and mostly you wouldnt even think about it in match, but do you lay ur forearm full weight on pad, vary the amount of pressure on pad, or more of less hover, I kinda just want a perspective of someone better than me to compare myself. I think im aware of my issues and trying to work on it.

    One more question. In your experience at least, how long does it take you to get back to form after long breaks? Due to education, I will be taking a break for minimum 1 year. I wonder if I’ll ever get back in current form after that 😭

    Hey Viscose idk if youre still answering some questions but for the focus on the target/xhair one, do you focus on the target as a whole or focus on one point (e.g. head, neck, torso, etc.)

    • @ViscoseOCE
      @ViscoseOCE  2 месяца назад

      i dont focus on specifics unless i rly rly have to, its more paying attention to their model as a whole and reading their overall movements

    Hiya, I’m sorry if you get a lot pf questions but this is my first one and an important one to me.
    How do I improve my ability to chose between both, or use both at the same time for a single movement.
    I ask this because while it is important to do so, it’s not as easy to me as just listening to the tip and doing so.
    Many times when I try to, my wrist ends up perpendicular to my arm and it’s annoying, so I tend to not do that.
    (Sounds awkward but It’s a bad habit I grew up on when I aimed with solely my wrist.)
    Are there routines to improve this, or any way to help my wrist come straight again during the movement?
    Thank you so much, I want to get into competitive fps games and your videos will do me much help!!

    What is your DPI and also how many nanomillimeters do you have to move your mouse to do a 180,? also i need to know the humidity level in your room because of mousepad importance and can affect gameplay a lot. also another question do you use your biceps or triceps to move arm when moving arm or do you just keep arm in one place and move entire body? thanks a lot and also what button do you bind high noon to. in my experience Q button have latency and much better to connect razer keyboard on side for high noon to decrease risk of wind.
