@@coolingchips1410 Usually artisan pads last somewhere between 6 to 12 months, but that also depends on which pad for instance their Hein lasts longer than their other pads, a lot of people reported that there Zero has gotten muddier after a years use, so we are assuming thats similar to the Type99 since both are control pads. However, Artisan themselves suggest changed pads every 3 months, which we believe is a bit extreme.
hey man i am in a bit of a slump for the past month can you focus your next vid on that? i think people will be educated and helped if you make avid abt it thanks !
Implemented different alignments long ago and figured out ergonomics were number 1 factor for comfort and consistency. Now after 3-10 minutes sitting is perfected!
This is video was incredibly well made and insightful. I was thinking this was a channel with a couple 100k subs but was shocked. Keep up the amazing content, subbed!
10/10 video, I was watching through to send it to a noober friend and we use the same gear and literally use the same approximative techniques to setup ourselves, was suprirsed to see you recommend the fist under the monitor thing :)
Great video, it's interesting to see that every pro has good or bad form of aiming and that you don't need to be close to your monitor to be a good player.
I never really watched or thought about aim form when playing games but after seeing this I realized going through different gear with different placement of them(form) the past 10 years (not intentionally but because all gears are shaped different, including desk and chair) what I stick to now is surprisingly similar to the setup you have. Thumbs up for going through the research and having it explained. Would've been nice if you made this video for me 10 years ago, so I didn't have to go through 10 years to find my ideal form 😂
This video got me from silver 2 to plat 1.... i wasn't sitting correctly.... and had no consistancy i'd drop 30 kills one game on Valorant next i'd be lucky to not bottom frag. Thank you for this video the big part i was missing was actually having my keyboard closer to my mouse. I had to adjust my aim a tad but overall im playing so much better. Under rated channel here. Cant wait to see u blow up.
all this information doesnt matter if you dont have a control monitor size. not everyone uses the same monitor size! thus the distance and fist for height is irrelevant
My personal problem with my setup is my table's height, that cannot be changed, it's one of those ikea with the drawers, it just feel weird when im at home gaming, unlike the table at my office. I see myself rising my chair a lot for it to feel similiar, but then comes the problem where my feet aren't touching the floor, wich people say is bad posture... Also this is a really well made video, you deserve more subs and views Oblivity, much love.
So one thing we can suggest is getting a footrest in this case, this will completely support your posture as well as give you a bit more freedom to adjust. There are options where the footrest is height adjustable.
you can buy ikea table with legs that you twist and change height, though they are really tedious, and takes time to get exact same, but you can also use them normally, and its pretty low, OLOV adjustable legs, every toher electric desk is still too high, there might be a few rare ones that go really low, but they expensive
My big issue is i thought when playing knb i had to use my chairs elbow resters. Even tho ive been doing it for years i felt that they always mess up my consistent aim. I see that you dont use them at all and rest your arm in the table itself with a healthy angle. This is a change I have to try and see! Thanks for the video! Even after years of playing also at high level of competitive gaming i still find ergonomics hard to stick with. And end up blaming my sens for it. Thanks again!
So lowering the chair made me able to control better but then I am naturally moving my arm away from my body because I m unable to do make long flicks or rotate 180 when in this position.
fatigue is a factor as to why pros tilt their keyboards. asides from getting more space, tilting the keyboard helps you reach control key for crouching more easily. - your average crouch enjoyer
Yep i know now why i have shoulders fatigue and why i couldn’t aim up bec simply i was leaning forward on the desk and now i need to change chairs bec mine doesnt go lower enough but hopefully it will help the neck/shoulder and back fatigue hope so 😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
been having troubles with my chair height. having it higher gives me neck pain and lower feels like my arms are sticking to the table/mousepad a lot when doing larger flicks. Gonna take some time to find a good balance in between now that I know the neckpain comes from the chair being too high and me leaning forwards. I thought I was just too used to having the chair too low and this new "good" posture would just take time to get used to. Ill play around with it and hopefully will find a working solution :D Great video!
Yeah bro i have the same issue everybody was saying to have chair height a little bit higher to have neutral shoulders position but i just cant adjust and the shoulders/neck and back fatigue is unbearable and now i need to change chairs bec mines doesnt go down bec i changed the chair lift 😂😂
this was super helpfup i think the only thing that i struggle with is my chair was p cheap and im on the smaller side so i cannot comfortably sit up straight in my chair and be close enough because it is not adjustable
my desk has no space like yours does, mine is a wooden table that only has space in the middle, the right side and the left side are cabinets (connected together)
If your chair isn't able to scoot in to give you the correct monitor distance length, then we suggest the following 2 solutions: 1 - Bring in the setup closer, if that doesn't allow you to have a good arm placement though move on to the 2nd solution. 2 - Add something to support your back on your chair, i.e a pillow, this will make your seating more comfortable aswell as it will bring you forward.
I can't adjust my monitor to a comfortable distance because the monitor stand is shaped like a triangle, that's almost as wide as my monitor, so i have to put my monitor on my mousepad which means that when i flick i hit my mouse against the monitor stand, and when my mouse hits the monitor stand it usually disconnects. Also I can't get a monitor stand because my monitor has a stand that allows me to just click the monitor into the stand, without any screws, and it also doesnt support any other monitor stands.
I have somewhat controversial opinion on keyboard positions. I have pretty unique wrist genetics, so for me the inward tilted keyboard cause a lot of fatigue and inacuracy with pressing buttons on timing, so I do the exact opposit. I put my keyboard quite far from my mousepad and tilt it outwards. It provides me with really comfortable position for wrist and arm as a whole. But it's probably only working on me because unique genetics. I have the same problems with "relaxed" claw grips, for me they're more agressive and uncomfortable then classic "agressive" claw grips. But both are not ideal, so it's only choise between unstable ftip, which is fun for me, and really stable palm grip, which is no fun for me
I do not understand how not having your monitor centered vertically would be beneficial. Or maybe a bit lower to better see the higher part of the screen, as most things happen there
My arm feels hard to move, but if i try to increase the chair height my arm starts to kinda float and it becomes exhausting really fast. I'm using an arm sleeve and Artisan Zero Mid mousepad. My pad is far back so only my wrist is on it because if i put my arm on the mousepad it's practically impossible to move at all
@1:04 Are those monitor tilt angles on their monitors real or just assumptions? I've always used a 19 degree angle (as of last 2 years). @5:40 I always found myself leaning forward and I always thought it was cause i had my monitor too far but this whole time it mightve been because my chair height is too high. Great video.
my problem is that i have a monitor that i cant change the angle of , the desk is too high , the chair is not a not adjustable , my keyboard isnt consistent , W and Shift dont always work , and bad mouse ( my monito is 900p 60hz tn with shit colors ) whats my solution
Let us know what issues you face with your ergonomics!
so what's the life of a mousepad without an arm sleeve? (i have a "new" artisan type 99)

I feel like you missed out on monitor size. The optimal distance depends on the size of your display. An elbow's length wont work out for everyone.

Great editing my man! Really stands out
This is the exact video i was looking for. I made my setup from scratch and my friend suggested me to go for a monitor arm, best decision in my life

hey man, great video, where can i find that app off eye and wrist stretching?
My chair doesnt fit below the desk and its not because of height, but because of width.
