- Hi Guys this is a comparison video between the LCI and Pre LCI. Let us know what you think and if you prefer one over the other. Thought id give you a little insight on what me and my mate do before the vid swell, hope you enjoy it!

Great looking cars lads! Big appreciation for these as I owe an LCI Cooper S 2019 with pretty much every option...plus some carbon bits and spot lights from the dealership. Come video it 😅 Now running 285bhp with Stage 1 remap 💪🏻

Does the remap pay attention to all the Rev line or just full throttle

I did the controller for the exhaust valve myself, no interference because it operates on a radio frequency. just had to order a relay box and a controller and the valve actuator; the total was about 90€ + the cat-back

I have a Cooper S LCI and want an exhaust but torn. Heard it’s a right headache to install the pro exhaust to an LCI due to the ppf filter and mapping. Worth doing? Or would a custom exhaust be good enough?😂
Well after this video I’d say pro exhaust😂 It’s a mini part. If you get them to install it you’ll have Warranty on the product. If you get a custom exhausts I’ve heard ‘Bozwerx’ is similar to pro exhaust but don’t get the Bluetooth interference. If you want noise then pro exhaust is the one🤪

I have the 2016 cooper s f56 hardtop. Added a milltek catback exhaust and got a cel, p0141. Car running lean- I cleared the code myself a couple of times but everytime I upshift for a pop sometimes the light would come on. Do you have this problem? Car start kind of rough at near full tank of gas
I wound probably say you need it professionally removed from a Company as they would code it out from the car. Rather than you just removing it from an OBD port. Neither of us have this problem with our cars. I get a nice cold start which is standard but haven’t ever noticed anything strange like that. Have you tried contacting Milltek?
@@tourquecars hm. Haven’t tried to code it out yet indefinitely, The symptoms i have on my car is multiple. My car is almost at 60k mi, I have to check and see if there is a leak, bank 1 running lean. If there is a problem like that contacting the company wouldn’t be a bad idea. Anyways. Thank you for replying I’ll give you updates. & that jcw sounds deeep, I like the jcw exhaust(low key I should have got that instead)
Have a manual 2018 Cooper S with JCW tuner kit. Pre-LCI b/c no Union Jack tailights, etc. Love the tune and exhaust when used with manual.
I heard the 2019’s aren’t eligible for the JCW Tuner Kit (meaning the tune, you can get exhaust installed still). I thought this was in the US too with GPF?
You’re correct! And the map is different due to engine regulations I do believe from factory!
How did you get apple car play on the pre lci ? You have to install a whole new unit or did you take it to a mini dealer and they did it?
It will be a whole new unit I reckon bud!
Does the pro exhaust come standard with the pre facelift JCW's or is that a factory upgrade?

So the F56 was produced at 2015,at the end of the 2017 was the LCI with the 8speed gearbox and opf and at 2021 was the LCI2 with the same 8speed gearbox but with new bumpers?
Correct I do believe!
So I have a very specific question for the real Mini experts. There was a short period in 2018, where the LCI1 was produced still without the OPF (GPF). Will those sound the same as the pre-LCIs, or is the sound difference not only because of the GPF? Because in my area there currently is a LCI1 for sale with LCI, but without GPF. For me that sounds like the most perfect JCW one could have, all the pros of the LCI but no cons in terms of sound!?
If there is no gpf filter then that shall be just as loud with a pro exhaust😆👍🏻
My jcw is 2021 and it has no GPF filter

Hello mate! Should be on settings, think it was under screen saver or something like that? It comes on after the screen hasn’t been used for 30 secs or so 👍🏼

Hi mate. Glad you enjoyed the video. You can change the exhaust on the newer cars. You have a GPF filter which will need coding out if you change the exhaust. Hope this helps
They tried telling me the jcw pro exhaust they only fit to the 2016 model?
They fit a wide variety of models!! That’s defo not true🤐

Certainly was clean! Yes mate 10mm on the front and 15mm rear I think for the LCI JCW

I got mine done with 10mm front and 15mm rear, finished it with a set of Eibachs and it looks sick mate...its on insta : miniac1025, thanks for your videos.
Why does the flap close by itself? What’s it due to?
Hi mate! The valve shuts by itself from Bluetooth interference. It’s always been a problem for anyone who’s got one. It does help if you keep the battery in the pro exhaust valve button topped up with charge. I change my battery in it every few months. Hope this helps👌🏽

You can unplug the Bluetooth while the valve is open and it will stay open. That’s what I did 😁

Life cycle Impulse. So every 4 years of so the minis get a facelift so they use this term to specify what model is what. Hope this helps

@@tourquecars stunning, looks a lot darker than some other thunder Grey's, must the detailing, thought it might be some kind of special order darker grey. Black looses the details in the lines on the mini I find

I really like the LCI1 but the Pre-LCI1 sounds always better. The new LCI2 on the other hand, I don't like as much because it looks too softened.
I'd love to find an all electric blue LCI1 on the market but they are sooo rare.
