Brits need to recognize that performance oriented FWD vehicles are not necessarily more economical to buy or operate than a proper RWD pony car, and their only real advantage is that their shorter length makes them easier to parallel park. Next time include a V6 Camaro and turbo Mustang in the comparison, and see how attractive that Yaris really is.

The reason the Yaris GRMN exists is for Toyota to get better suspension geometry on the Yaris WRC. They don't care if you like the price or not. It is also the reason why it is produced in such small numbers.

Definitely the Mini for me! Took one for a test drive once and if I’m honest wasn’t expecting much but was absolutely thrilled after I’d took it for a spin! Would have snapped it right up if I could’ve afforded it! The sounds that came from it too!!! I also like the message displayed when sport mode is activated! 😃 The whole experience of it put a massive smile on my face! Absolutely without a doubt I’d have the Mini out of this list! If you’ve never driven one and have the chance would totally recommend it!!!👌🏻 Cracking piece of kit!

For anyone wanting 1 of these cars and thinking the 208 is out due to being the slowest, the gti is also used the cheapest at around 7k for a good 14 plate low mileage car, add around 1.5k on to this by adding a stage 2 tune with mods and the car is as fast as nearly all the cars and thousands less than the yaris and mini...
I don't ever trust those three when it comes to drag races. I remember Hammond drag racing a Veyron vs a Mclaren F1. And the F1, without launch control and rwd, was ahead of the Bugatti for some time

The new Polo GTI 2.0 L EA888gen3 engine has the small IS12 and not the more powerful IS20 from Golf 7 GTI. So you cannot get to 300 hp with that small turbo. You'll need the IS20 or IS38 turbo from Golf GTI / R to get to 300+ hp.
The advantage of speed control of youtube is it allows us to figure things out such as you actually made 2 races: in the first race 1:21 you drove off as soon as Pete started moving his arms down. In the second race 0:48/2:35 you held yourself a bit more and only drove off when his arms reached down. By the way.. in the second race 2:35 you forgot to put the front wheels of the fiesta behind the ground marks, like in the first race 1:21. Maybe the driver's lightning fast reaction also distorted space and time and that explains why cars are in different positions on different camera angles.

I would buy a polo. even though it's not fastest, let's be clear none of them are fast, so by perspective of looks, practicality and overall coolness i would get polo. it's simple car and simple is GOOD

Each to their own. I'm not a VW fan by any means but the previous gen Polo was really smart. Especially the GTi. This new model seems very awkward looking. I think that low roof line does the damage and also the rear end

Mini is the fastest there and it shows. If Matt had been in the mini the mini would have won easy. Because Matt wasn't sleeping he looks like he jumps but that's about it. Knowing all this I would have the gti or fiesta still but give me a motorbike any day over these.
Matt just does not like Minis but dude seriouly the gti it goes fast but who cares its the most boring place in the world to be and the fiesta is just a ford there ok but again its interior is like 1994.
