- I've teamed up with Pendle Leasing to bring you a new series of test drives in more obtainable cars and we're going to get started with the MINI Cooper S JCW!
A popular favourite, the 228bhp top-end variant of the Mini F56 hatchback brings a lot of go to a small form factor. This particular car finished in Electric Blue looks the part too, but what's it like to drive and what does the lease market have to offer?
The MINI Cooper S John Cooper Works (along with many other MINI variants) is available via Pendle Vehicle Contracts. The UK-based leasing company offers special leasing deals for all needs and arrange suitable finance for the private individual, business or even if you are a large fleet customer.

There's so much hate online because of reliability and build quality. How do you counter that?
Actually only the first gen has bad reliability and build quality.
Just get your ass into one and drive around a few nice roads and you'll know that there's a lot of bullshit talking going around in the internet ;)
Jesse D actually, at one Mini event I was at (Mini Takes the States) I saw a Mini that came from California (this checkpoint was in Pittsburgh) that was basically a Barbie car. Then I saw another Mini from New York with performance parts with a license plate that said "NOT CUTE". It's a unique range of personalities.
Willy Lamb Remember, maintenance is key. But Mini buyers care more about the heritage of the car, the style, the driving feel, etc. Reliability is boring :)
*As much as we all like to be wealthy and as much as we love seeing awesome supercar/hypercars, I'm really appreciative when you also make videos of more affordable cars like these Tim. going with a jcw to the track this Thursday, on a small circuit it's more fun then the GT4 and to be honest, the JCW is an ideal daily driver for every car lover thanks to it's awesome frame which gives a stunning driving experience

+shmee150 Try the Audi S1 if you want a real pocket rocket ;) 2.0T makes 250hp (231hp claimed) and has 4wd quattro 0-60 in around 5.2 seconds (5.8 claimed) 1315kg. Like the Mini it has drive modes: Eco,Auto and Dynamic. Throttle response, adaptive dampeners and exhaust valve opens. I own one and would love for somebody to review them. Only 1600 in the UK currently so quite rare.

There's a toggle switch to raise/lower the HUD. No need to turn the whole car off. Also secret compartment has been discontinued.

I've got the chance to test drive one of these and I'd say that I would get it as a secondary car as a cabrio. Very fun car to drive
Just one thing, you can manage the event-based lights on the central display off except for changing drive mode notification. First thing I did was turn most of them off including the rev counter as I find them distracting.
Tim you need to press (not grab) on the piano black trim on the passenger side to access the secret compartment above the glove box.
we need to see the boot space on cars Tim. everyone always forget to show the boot but for me it's an important selling point.
Hi Tim why not do a feature on the Corsa VXR or the Astra GTC VXR
you should change your Focus RS for one of this in British racing green it would go perfectly with your sport pack Mini ;)

The armrest is two postion and drops to allow better access to the controller and gear stick.
As you are going down the hot hatch segment why not have a look at the newly released BMW M140i and give us your opinion on that. Thanks love watching your enthusiasm on all your reviews.

Honestly these should now be called Maxi Coopers! I had a R56 back in 2007 and when parked next to the R53 it dwarfed it, this F56 dwarfs that!

Mk 1's are immense cars, absolute b road rockets. Handle like there on rails. Plus I can imagine it's a more raw car compared to the new RS.

I'd love to see a new drivers guide type of thing. Giving people who are learning to drive or who have recently passed their test, a few ideas on some cars to think about. But obviously some factors come in, insurance, car price, how they perform etc, for a new driver. Would be a very useful video imo.
Tim you need to test drive an F56 Cooper S with the JCW Pro bi-modal exhaust! I have one on my Challenge210 and it's crazy. Pops and bangs loads!

Hot hatches are becoming very popular, maybe review some of these: Golf GTI/Golf R, Vauxhall/Opel Corsa VXR, Vauxhall/Opel Astra ( GTC ) VXR, Civic Type R, Clio RS. All very normal cars, but very interresting Price/Performance Ratio.
If I could take the F65 interior and chuck it in my R56 I would be a very happy boy

I would really like you to review the new Audi S4. As much as I enjoy your Supercar video and trips... and prefer them to be honest, your reviews seem to cut the jibba jabba. Everything unique about the car seems to be explained well but not too wordy, a real good general oversight over the car!
Thought I'd hate that but honestly them crackles and everything might make me test drive one. TEMPTED.
You have to test a french hot hatch ! Either the 208 GTi bPS, showing Peugeot's renouveau, or the Mégane RS 275 Cup-S, which represents Renault's savoir faire :)

please test as well the Golf 7 GTI Clubsport. It's just such a fun Car! Perfect Daily Driver, but as well pretty fast on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
