If a criminal gang attacked and massacred people at an investment bank or in any scenario in the UK it would be the end of that criminal organisation. In this scenario it is likely that an armed response team would have been sent to the investment bank, they would all either have been shot by police or spent the rest of their lives in prison, also there would be a severe clamp down on all criminal gangs. In reality no criminal gang would be something as reckless as massacre civilians as it would bring extreme heat down on them. London is not Mexico

Loved this series, but scenes like this were hella unrealistic. You honestly think 5 dapper Nigerian guys would have been able to walk out of that investment building covered in blood, alive? They would have been shot dead by security forces within 10 mins.
Its scenes like this that put me off of Gangs of London. Just totally unrealistic and stupid really. Gangs of London had the potential to have a really great and believeable storyline but it obviously went for the over-the-top, American style of gore and bloodshed. It was a cross between a Bruce Lee meets Rambo series.
So what it was over the top. Whether it was realistic or more believable it still would be fiction. It is entertainment and it done a bloody good job. Because often they make it too boring. Season 2 I hope is even more over the top.

whenever someone says "people shouldn't be allowed to own guns"... have them watch this clip. it's has some reality to it. one part of my town is suddenly flooded with immigrants from the African continent. if youre driving behind one and honk your horn because they don't really know our traffic laws yet. I've had them jump out of their cars and pull machetes from under their seat and start slashing my car while screaming profanities as I drive on the wrong side of the road to escape. ponder... what would I do if 1-3 angry people suddenly came running and screaming at me with machetes. it's scary shit
