I just love cooking peach cobbler and I love seeing all your recipes even more. I hope you enjoy my very simple take on making peach cobbler. My entire recipe has six ingredients and is sooo easy to make. It is a favorite at the Lady and Sons and I hope it becomes a favorite on your dinner table as well.
The winner of this weeks activity challenge are Erin McKinley for her delicious-looking pictures and recipe and Caitlin Fitzgerald for her great video on a cool twist to my Peach Cobbler recipe!
Thanks again for all the submissions and be sure to check back tomorrow to see what next weeks dish is going to be!

i just made this, and omg!! this recipe is perfect, i made it in a 9x13 casserole dish, and baked it 45 mins at 350... it's heavenly
was looking to see just If anyone used a 9x13 - my 9x9 isn't anywhere near as tall as hers! Thanks for posting..
Thanks for the tip. Mine over-flowed my 9x9.
@@NessaRossini... yes 9x9 is too small
I always use a 9x13
@@jordansdad1221
A cook after my own heart...definitely 9x13...always! lol I like to eat my cobbler, not clean it up!
I'm Yankee but was so blessed to have had a Southern Gramma. One of my favorite childhood memories was going to North Carolina to visit my Gramma and getting her yummy southern cooking. The peach cobbler was my favorite.Unfortunatley she passed away before I could have her teach me..Thank you Paula.Im def gonna make this...It looks delicious.
So nice to hear your voice again....Soothing family feeling, like your cobbler...
I used to bake this and take it to work. Everyone loved it. Way to make it even better: Use half and half instead of milk.
*For a Quicker Version Use 2 bags of frozen peaches.* Add the sugar to the peaches and cook the same...it will create the same sauce and their is virtually no difference (be sure to buy good peaches). Try nutmeg in the batter, instead of cinnamon on top. It's a pretty simple recipe...hard to mess up...add what you prefer to it : )
When it comes to peach cobbler I'm trusting Paula Dean on this one. Glad to see you on RUclips.
Love you Paula
i love Paul dean back on bf with all that she makes peach cobler i love her
I agree with you guys too. Nobody else can top her peach cobbler. I have to make this for sure.
Paula can beat the pants off any of the cooks on Food Network! I am so happy to have her on the computer! I've always loved her! I love her product line as well. The colors are tasteful, not something that looks like it is designed for a circus.
I'm black and still love Paula

It’s pretty easy to make unhealthy food taste good, someone who can actually cook can make healthy food that’s delicious
Paula, who?😒😒😒😒😒
T Bowser Shut up
This is an amazing recipe and always a huge hit at our house when we have guests! We love you Paula Deen!
I just had to let you know, I have made this cobbler 3 times already and my entire family loves it. The first time I made it was at Thanksgiving. It was gone in no time. So I made it again at Christmas but in a bigger pan. It didn't last either. I made it a third time 2 days ago for my husband and me. Since peaches are not in season, I have to use canned peaches. This has not hurt the recipe at all. My husband absolutely loves it and tells me over and over again how wonderful it is. And he wanted to thank you for the recipe.
B Slaydon when you used the canned peaches, did you drain them? And did you still add the sugar to the peaches?
Elandra Lee I did drain the peaches and I used the sugar called for in the recipe. Also, I use two large cans of peach halves and cut them myself into smaller pieces. It turns out perfect. I made this a few weeks ago and used a little less sugar (approximately 1-1/2 cup divided) since my Dad is a diabetic but LOVES this recipe. My Dad said it wasn't sweet enough. Hope this helps.
B Slaydon it did, thank you!!!
What temperature did you bake your cobbler at? Paula doesn't say in the video.
The recipe calls for 350 degrees. I know I had a time trying to find the website where this recipe is written. The link above doesn't work. So, here is the link to this recipe and her other recipes. www.pauladeen.com/peach-cobbler
dang that lady can cook with her eyes close ima need her over here for thanksgiving and Christmas lol..

Still? Do people take that much issue with her cobbler?
Hi Paula! I made a peach cobbler today using dough. I’m going BACK to the store in the morning to make it your way! Looks SCRUMPTIOUS!! I can’t wait! 🍑🤗🥟
Thanksgiving Day...
I MADE IT!!! 🎉 I will NEVER, EVER buy pie crust again! It turned out beautiful. It’s SO easy to make!
I have missed you so much! Glad to find you... I watched you on the food network for years! I would let my children watch your show for their cooking class! Now they are grown up & all love to cook! They are good at it too..😉♥️🥳 thank you Paula!
I can tell Paula is a Southern Girl she makes her peach cobbler like my mom and grandma did. Good to see old fashion recipes. Hope to see more. Love Ms Paula she always has a smile.
Thank you for the recipe Paula. I always enjoy watching you cook. No offense but you remind me so much of my VERY proud Southern late grandmother. She was born and raised in Alabama. You're such a joy to watch and I'd love to have the chance to get to know you some day.
I made something very similar that I came up with, before coming to your recipe, while browsing recipes on RUclips tonight. I like to get recipe ideas from lots of videos on a particular dish and then come up with my own version.
Here's what I did different. I used one stick of butter halved, half for the batter and half for the peaches. I used one cup of brown sugar in the peaches and one cup of raw sugar for the batter. I didn't have any fresh peaches on hand so I went with frozen. To the frozen peaches and the cup of brown sugar, I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a teaspoon of lemon juice, two tablespoons of cornstarch, a good amount of cinnamon to taste, and a small amount of nutmeg along with the half cup of water. I warmed this up on the stove till it was nicely thickened and bubbly.
To the batter, I only had regular flour on hand so I added a half teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of baking powder. I only used 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of flower. I also added one egg as I'd seen on another YT recipe. I put it together just as you did, but omitted the cinnamon as I had already put quite a bit into the peach mixture. The results were absolutely delicious!! My picky husband even loved it!! lol
Thank you, just one thing, flour not "flower" 🤓
Paula we don't even care if you eat a stick of butter, one cake and a cup of sugar a day. YOU LOOK GREAT. Your recipes help us gal's who's mothers never cooked or taught them. I make this at every dinner party I have or go to....its always a hit. When they ask where I got the recipe I love to say "who else but the Queen of cooking Miss Paula Dean"
I absolutely love this woman!!! The best southern recipes ever!
Love... Love her cooking... I always go see her when she visited my town... my daughter in law given me my first Paula Deen cook book ... always in my heart Mrs. Paula Deen.... you don't need the food net ... it was their lost..
I only use this recipe for my cobblers, peach, blackberries, strawberries, any berry, thank you Paula for this recipe!!!
I just made this for our 4th of July dessert. I wanted to let you know that my husband really loved this cobbler; it was delicious with vanilla ice cream. Thank you for sharing!!!!!❤️
I just cooked this and its gotta be the best peach cobbler I've ever had in my life.
Thank you soo much for sharing.
What oven temp you used. I couldn't find oven temp in this recipe
@@lidiyaagne8381 350 degrees..standard for something like this!!
2021. Norway. Son had asked for his peach cobbler:) // Self-rising flour-less ppl: flour, plus throw in a pinch of salt, and a pinch of baking soda, and about a half tablespoon of baking powder. If you only have the baking powder, no baking soda, that´s fine too!:) I´m using canned peaches, as there are no fresh peaches here. And fresh nutmeg; buttermilk, whole milk, butter, sugar etc as that´s what I´ve got today. // The last 4 eggs of the 2 dozen, I made deviled eggs. All the other eggs went into a chess pie:) Thanks Paula Deen for helping me with having a Southern Thanksgiving here in Norway:) Am right off the sea, and remember your show when ya´ll had the dock on the water in the backyard:) The ovens here are different....so am watching as I write this....it´ll be done when it looks done,)
This Bae! 😍 Every Time I Need A Recipe This Is Who I Look For!
Just picked about 50 peaches from my neighbor's tree, can't wait to try this recipe (:
That’s similar to the old campfire cooking favorite known as the “dump cake”. A box of yellow cake mix, a couple of cans of peaches, and a stick of butter. Dump the peaches in a cast iron Dutch oven, dump the cake mix on top, cut the stick of butter into pats and distribute them on top of the cake mix, put the cover on the Dutch oven and set it on a thin bed of coals. I learned that one as a Boy Scout, over 60 years ago.
I gotta try this receipe cuz we love peach cobbler. I usually make mine with a thicker dough but I want to try this way and see how we like it. Thanks Paula. You are a good woman.
I have been searching for a good peach cobbler recipe and just came across this paula deen channel. couldn't wait...made it yesterday...amazing! I added a tbsp of peach preserves to the peaches and a dash of vanilla extract. My sweet tooth is now satisfied.
Ms CShell Wow that sounds good!!!! Thank u for sharing it 😀😀😀 because I know that the Peach Preserves and Vanilla made a difference. And that's why u can now call it your own with the added ingredients!!! I can't wait to make this for sure 🍽
Mrs. Paula,, the Food Net Work has not been the same since you been gone. You are the best!!
We did this recipe again for friends. Sooo good all summer long. We did it with the peaches but added some blueberries and raspberries as well. It was such a hit. I served a chardonnay with it after the Paula Deen themed dinner and we sat outside on the terrace with our desserts and sipped wine. We love you Paula Deen!
We'll be making the peach cobbler Friday for guests and its really just amazing! I can't wait! No wonder you're more popular and more loved than ever Paula! Just remember: We love you Paula Deen!
I get so much joy from watching Paula. She reminds me so much of my mom and grandmother (mamaw passed away.) I learn to cook by watching Paula. She makes me luagh and learn at the same time. Always be a big fan of hers. Shes a wonderful lady no matter what some rude people might say.
-Lord Jesus Christ still loves and saves from sins.
I've made this peach cobbler several times. My family loves it!!! The only thing I do differently is add cinnamon, nutmeg, & vanilla extract to my peaches while they're cooking. Canned peaches work just as good if you're having trouble finding peaches or you're limited on time.
My mom was a southern woman from Texas and that is what was taught to her. No one is born being racist or naturally speaks in racist tones. It is taught. This is the way she was probably raised being from Georgia (my grandmother being from the same state), and we just have to say to ourselves, "stop the cycle". She realized her mistakes in the past, and I am sure WE ALL have things that we have done or said in the past that we are not proud of. Unfortunately, because she was such an influential public figure, as they say, the bigger they come, the harder they fall. I wish her all the best in her new adventures and I have always loved you Miss Paula. Hope everything is going well for your and your family.
Do u think folks will enjoy the cobbler better given the re-education u just afforded us? Gee... thanks!
Hi Paula, looks like we make our cobblers about the same. If I can't get fresh peaches I have used canned. I use 1 large can of peaches with the syrup. I have memorized this recipe because it is SOOOO easy. One 8X8 glass baking dish, 1 cup milk, 1 stick butter melted and divided, 1 cup self-rising flour, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (only because I think everything is better with vanilla), 1 cup whole milk and one cup sugar (although sometimes I will use half of this). Mix everything together. It will look like a very weak pancake batter. I got this from my Auntie Boo and when she made it I thought it was going to be a disaster because the batter was so thin. Pour 1/2 the butter in the baking dish, then pour the batter in, next spoon out the peaches evenly over the batter. Then carefully pour the last of the butter over them along with the syrup from the can. Bake at 425 for about ten minutes. Then turn over down to 375 and continue until done, a nice light brown. This is called magic cobbler (you can use any type of fruit with this. I have used all kinds of frozen berries. Just put them in a bowl, add sugar and leave in fridge overnight till all the juice is leeched out.
This makes the most beautiful delicious cobbler. The flour rises and envelopes the mix making a wonderful crust. Please try it and let me know what you think. You can email me at djcmanley1951@gmail.com
What a beautiful oven! Im gonna have to try this recipe, looks amazing!
Thanks for the post...Looks yummy and will try it for sure...However, I'll only use a total of one (1) cup of sugar and add a little nutmeg :)
hey, i got some really ripe peaches from the farmers market here in Washington/Oregon. I shared one of the peaches with my husband for peaches with some cream (delicious) & he requested a peach cobbler. So, i am planning on using the rest of the peaches (3 good sized ones) to make a cobbler, & i ran across your video on peach cobbler, so i am going to make this into a delicious cobbler for him & i!! God Bless You, Paula, for sharing this recipe with us!!
This is just how my mom made it..... This is the one thing I always asked for growing up LOVE IT >> THANKS FOR showing me how to make it
I've missed you, good to hear that lovely accent.
I love when there are recipes that don't require alot of ingredients and pack a punch in the flavor department.
Cant wait to try this one. Im waking up tomorrow and getting some peaches. Here in Costa Rica it's a bit tough to get my hands on self rising flour so I'll have to use the extra salt and baking powder. Cant wait!
Thank you Paula! I tried it and LOVED it. I tried/altered your recipe and I just loved it to pieces lol. I can't wait to make it again.
I have made this several times and it’s a hit every time! I use this recipe for apple cobbler too. It’s SO good when you add “fall” spices. I’m going to make an apple cobbler tomorrow. Thanks for sharing with us Paula. 💞

Am moving to Georgia from Alaska. One of my biggest plans is to go to Paula's restaurant in Savannah! My eldest daughter's name is Paula and I am a real fan of hers and also of Paula Deen! So excited💕
I am making the peach cobbler tonight for guests. Its a great recipe with a lot of variations you can do to it. I make it for our church socials also. Its pretty much a no-fail recipe as long as you use the self-rising flour and don't burn it! Love you Paula!
While watching you cook the peach cobble I noticed the wooden spoon you dipped up the peach mixture with, could you please tell me where I could get one ?I absolutely love it.
God Bless you Paula, I love you and your cooking. You are a great lady!
I'm going to try this. I remember my Mom making this stuff a long, long time ago (when I was a kid). And, it was awesome. But, I'm going to try making this stuff with a little bit of blueberries in it, too (mixed in with the peaches). I think that would just make it better if you ask me.
The way I make it Paula is: First I use can peach pie filling, the I spoon out into a bowl the peaches trying to not scoop too much of the syrup with it..then add half the juice of a lime, about 2 t. of cinnamon, 1/2 t. of nutmeg and combine with the peaches..I spread soft real butter on bottom of the dish, add the peach mixture to it, then sprinkle the yellow cake mix coating it entirely, sprinkle n top sparingly cinnamon mixed with sugar and a pinch of nutmeg on top, also sprinkle pecan pieces roughly chopped, then drizzle melted butter on top. Then in the oven for 350 for 45 min. You can replace cake mix with store bought pie crust and do all the same rest of the ingredients except the pecans!
I made this recipe but substituted for a rhubarb and strawberry mixture and we had it Wednesday night for our dinner guests. What a huge hit and it turned out perfectly. Great recipe! Thank you Paula Deen!
I love you Paula Dean. My mother suffers from bipolar, and does not want to ever talk to me and I didn't do nothing wrong and when I see you cook. I feel your motherly touch, and for that I thank you. Love you always.
I love you Paula! We all make mistakes. May God continue to bless you.
Mrs. Paula, I love watchiing your channel, watching you cook reminds me of my grandmother and my aunt, especially around the holiday time. Wil you please post how you make your apple dumplings. Thank you,
Made this tonight, and this is hands down the best peach cobbler I have ever had in my life. Thank you.
Glad to see you back, Miss your great recipes!

Estefania Kelly I miss her so much.
I find it conflicting how FN removed PD but allowed a fornicating home wrecker to have her own show. PD admitted her mistakes 20 some years after the fact, and she suffered deeply. I suppose God sees ALL OUR sins, Not one greater than another. Too bad FN doesn’t see it that way. I rarely ever watch. PD taught me how to cook. And honey I love you as much today as I ever did. God knows your heart!
I haven't watched Food Network since they screwed Paula Deen!! Nor have I bought ANYTHING else from Smithfield farms!!
I made this Cobbler last night. I used frozen peaches but when I tell you it is delicious. I was using pie crusts before but Paula's cobbler gives you just what you need in a delicious cobbler. This was the best cobbler I've ever made. Thank you Paula Deen.
*OMG, this recipe is the best! I made this peach cobbler for my kids and I, absolutely superb. Thank you @Paula Deen !*
I miss seeing you cook Mrs. Deen, I "Always" felt at home watching your cooking show!! Just so love you and your cooking. So glad to see you again. You make me feel closer to my Grandmother. She taught me how to cook southern food from scratch at a young age in California. She passed when I was 14 and I was so happy to have her in my life. You are just the best ever. Hope you are doing well. Miss you on TV, now I can see you here. You so Rock !!
This is the best!! Easy to make and turns out perfect each time. I use the frozen peaches and since I never have self-rising flour I add baking powder and salt to my all-purpose flour like Paula explains here. Warm with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream, yummy.
I still Love You Paula ! And I Love your cooking !
I just picked up a half bushel of Michigan Red Haven peaches yesterday, from the farmer that grew them. I definitely gotta try this !
Omg Paula, I just came across your channel, and I'm so glad!! I haven't seen you in a very long time. Love your recipes

Help! If I’m doubling the recipe for a larger group of people, should I bake an hour at the same temp? Or turn it up?

Hands down, Peaches are my favourite fruit on earth! Must try this recipe
She made some really bad language decisions in the past but I truly believe she was genuinely sorry for her comments. Of course partly for losing a third of her following and remorse for how she made her people feel... white and black. I for one will still be using her recipes or variations of them in my own cooking. People are allowed to make mistakes it is whether or not you learn from them.
If she is racist why does she help hundreds of black families every year ? How many have you helped that are not in your immediate family ? Zero right ?
She didn't make a mistake

Just made this!!!! Came out just perfect and I'm totally satisfied. *as an extra. Before I put it in the oven I just sprinkled a sugar/cinnamon mix on top, makes the peaches brown slightly before the flour rises and it taste soo good!!
This recipe is amazing! My daughter constantly asks for it. Only addition I did is to add some nutmeg and vanilla to the batter. Sets it over the top!
I never like Peach Cobbler till my husband grandmother made it, and omg I feel in love. I will definitely be making this for 4th of July. I'm on my husband's account lol
Hi Y'ALL!!! I said that with a SouthernJersey accent. :)
I never had peach cobbler before ever and when i found this recipe about 2 hours ago I decided I'm gonna try it right away!
I just made it with a couple of differences ;I replaced peaches with nectarines (because it's 1am and that's all I had at home) and I added some almond extract to the batter (just because I love the idea of peachy-alomndy-flavors ) and it turned out great I loved it and my mom loved it!!! =D thanks !
So glad you are on RUclips, miss you girl. I have several of your cookbooks, everything I cook from your books is delicious.
Hey Paula, love your recipes but one thing... you forgot to tell us what temp to bake it at? 400 degrees? Help me out here Paula.. ok? Looks so good.
Wayne Hamilton most likely 350 degrees. 400 seems way too high. Most baked goods range from 300-350.

When it comes to peaches it's peach dumplings.wraping a large whole peach cut in half center filled with brown sugar butter and cinnamon, wrap in pie crust dough completely cover and seal it place in 13x9 baking pan .pour syrup of sugar water butter cinnamon you have cooked till syrup thickens .pour over dumplings bake in 350 degree oven for 35 to 45 minutes till dumplings are golden brown serve warm with vanilla ice cream on top in a bowl . That's how we eat peaches.
What temp do u bake it on ?

MS. ILBB Where did you read that? Ebony Magazine? What a joke.
Do you mean "joke's?"
MS. ILBB Yes,because in Africa it was a traditional meal and they had peaches growing everywhere and made it in their ovens before whites enslaved them all... and they brought it with them to America :) ....seriously stop making everything a race issue. This is cooking, not the beginning of genocide, chill..just like those peaches she put in water:)
I'm so happy to see you on RUclips big fan of yours I miss watching your show on TV 🤗🤗💜❤💜👍👍🍾🍷
I made this recipe last night and it was an awesome success. I even substituted white whole wheat flour instead of the plain self rising flour. I just made sure to add 2 tsp of baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1/2tsp salt.
I am so happy you posted a peach cobbler video, I love the way you cook & bake much love!!!
Love you, used to watch you all the time💕🌼
I was looking for a recipe like we made some in school dorm in Kentucky (1975). We used biscuits on top. I m not sure which canned biscuits, so I used your recipe. Soooo easy and fast. I didn't have any cinnamon but it looks good. Taste good!
i made this and it was absolutely fabulous i luv it! i used canned peaches cause it's not peach season here! but it was still fantastic! thanks so much for this recipe!

Love you Paula and I'm brown.
I miss my Paula Dean. I use to wake up watching her show on TV.
Me too.
Mz Shawn J so do I
peach cobbler was always a favorite where I grew up in La. It reminds me of getting a turn to serve in the lunch line in 6th grade, and getting to have all the peach cobbler you wanted afterwards.
I made this today and just finished eating some. It tastes really good and nice and juicy. I cooked it for 40mins and it still hadn't browned on top. I ended up putting it on broil for a few minutes while standing there watching. Never walk away when the broiler is on!! That worked great. My question for any of you is, can you use Splenda instead of sugar with this? I was wondering if the juice would be more watery when finished.
Thanks
