You should do a deep dive into his college career. And how that one decision led to the downfall of jim trustle buckeyes. Which then opened up the door for urban meyer. Crazy sequence of events.
Fran Tarkenton and Archie Manning were the true pioneers of duel threat quarterbacks.
Being a Raider Fan my whole life, this took me back to how mismanaged this team has been for decades.
I feel ya
How long you been a fan?
Carr was the closest thing to stable
Garbage Mark Davis has DESTROYED the franchise
Mark Davis, trading players like
Khalil Mack
Amari Cooper
Derek Carr
Josh Jacob's
In their primes
While his father was screaming from the grave NOOOOOO.....NOOOOOOOO!
Terrelle Pryor was one of the first Raider QBs that I started to follow besides Carson Palmer. Pryor was a beast, ahead of his time for his position.
I first started really watching the Raiders around 2012/13.. I’ll never forget Pryor and the potential the Raiders just threw away
@@TheKilliluminati the Raiders didn't throw him away, he was a bad qb, he's struggled playing qb and wide receiver and eventually was let go by nfl teams. He's physically talented but mentally challenged.
@@8kigana Raider had a BIG part in fuc*** up his development tho, so yes they do hold responsibility for his failed career bud. Any good organization/ coach could’ve squeezed out any talent Pryor had
@TheKilliluminati no kidding dude, they had HOF players, if they couldn't take care of them what makes you think at the time they could deal with Pryor?
@@8kigana can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic lol
First Raiders QB I started watching and I still believe to this day that he could have been a really good QB if the team and organization was good
I enjoyed watching Terrell Pryor at my first Raider game with my dad. We saw him throw a couple TD against the Chargers. Then the Raider defense had to show up in the second half cause there was no offensive production in the 2nd. Just win baby.
This dude was AMAZING in highschool. Go back and watch the state title game his senior year. Crazy talented
I have been a raiders fan since 2002 the year that they lost the Super Bowl with Rich Gannon. I was only ever excited to watch three QBs play for the Raiders, Derek Carr, Carson Palmer, and Terrelle Pryor. I honest to God was one of those people that after watching that game where he broke the 93 yard touchdown thought that he was going to be a franchise quarterback. Was sad to see him go but I’m glad we got Carr.
2002? How old were you?
2002 wasn't that long ago 😭😭 I was born 1992, but I remember going into the 2002 super bowl was one of my most hyped memories (as well as one of the most devastating days of my life) 😅😅
@@antonypost19 I'm older than you, that's why I asked. I'm a 80's baby. S9 been a fan since 1990
What about Jason Campbell? I honestly thought we were playoff bound up until he broke his collarbone.
Carr was a bright spot. I remember watching games in the 80s and 90s with my dad and brother, watching guys like Marc Wilson and Jay Schroeder, but i wasnt old enough to pay all that much close attention. I watched a lot more closely during Grudens first run, but the years after were a blur where it just seemed like the qb position was cursed because they were either constantly getting injured or making bonehead decisions, and Pryor was definitely a disappointing situation. It also seemed like they were never able to comeback from behind late in the game. I remember when they drafted Carr however, something just felt different. I had a feeling he would be starting by the end of the season. Despite the challenges he had over the years including some questionable plays at times, he was the first qb that I remember that actually was there practically every game for years, and seemed to be capable of carrying the offense and winning games. I think a lot of people forget how many late game comebacks he was able to pull off. Thats why I can never understand all the hate he gets, because things were so much better during his years than they had been for a very long time. Im not saying I think things will go down the same way or even should with Aidan necessarily, but I got the exact same feeling when they drafted him last year as Carr. I could actually see a scenario where he has a similar career, only hopefully with the team having more success and stability going forward. I guess we'll have to see how things turn out.
He had to be mobile with that trash o line we had
I always wondered what happened to this kid. i had high hopes for him cuz he was great in colleges and really showed some flashes of excellence with us. i just remember i stopped paying attention to the team one season to deal with family issues and next thing you know, hes gone. Great video Willy, your really coming into your own with these new style of videos yoir doing where you do these deep dives. keep it up bro, i love it
As new Raiders fan that started watching when they moved to Las Vegas, I really enjoyed knowing more about previous players! I also enjoy watching all your videos :)
Watching TP live, then playing with him in Madden was the best lol
I’ve been a Chief’s fan for 30 years,& I completely forgot that he played on the Chiefs. You did an awesome job on this documentary,& actually made me root for the Raiders for once in my entire life!!!
An absolute fantastic video Willie! Way to dig deep and go behind the scenes in this interesting subject! I always liked Pryor and I appreciate you letting us really know what happened to him. Keep up the great work!
TP2! QB turned WR. Dude I Loved that kid! I wanted him to have the ball so bad and spaz out!
A tattoo didn’t ruin his career. SMH…
Terrible title
@@201hours8 yes sir.
Bro it’s called click bait. If you didn’t know by now you live under a rock.
@@ShyIsfried bro thanks for playing! 😂😝😆🤣🤣 PRICELESS!
@@ShyIsfried false advertising is a thing still 🤦🏾♂️
He was so good in HS. He was one of the best football players in my area that was around the time I was in HS.
Brought me back to TP2. You can say what you want but Terrelle he put it all out there. Feel like he could have been utilized better with an O Line and the new QB rules
Love this video grew up watching Terrelle. His player on madden was so op he had like 99 speed
Great video WiFi. Brings back memories with extra context to what was going on behind the scenes
Andrew Walter Didn't get a fair shot. To his defense, the O-Line Was A$$ in 2006 😅
All of his records should be returned, not that it will matter as much as Reggie Bush getting his Heisman Trophy back.
Unfortunately, there have been several players who have fallen victim to the Raiders' organization. Carr is a great example. He was able to have some success, but I can't imagine what could have been if he had stability with the coaching staff. I love the team, and hopefully, we learn from our past and don't repeat the same mistakes.
Numerous young mens careers ruined by Garbage Mark Davis. We're doomed until he's gone
@JO-uy6zs I might regret saying this later, but I think he's finally learning. Hiring AP was the first move. He also surrounded AP with experienced staff. I know we didn't get a QB in the draft, but I'm also happy they didn't give up a lot to try and get one either. They added to the lines on both sides. It feels a lot different than some of the previous years.
@michaelayala7247 AP does give us hope. I was there with my son when AP and AOC smashed the NYGiants. He can lead men. But after 13 years of pure crap from Garbage Mark I have nearly no hope left. He is too dumb, broke, weak and powerless to compete against 31 billionaires. We're doomed. Go Raiders 🏴☠️
Carr was a victim of McDaniels, not the Raiders. His career was going well before that unfortunate hire.
@@ovishootswide9599 Carr had 6 head coaches in 9 years. Absolutely insane dysfunction from the laughingstock franchise of the NFL. Thanks to idiot Mark Davis. Permanent dumpster fire 🔥 until he's gone.
Thank you for the video. There was a bunch of stuff that I didn't know of or just forgot about with Pryor.
Watching the dude was special I would always sub him in at madden
I would totally watch more documentary style vids like this. I think you did a great job, per usual. Man, I wish Pryor had better circumstances
Pryor always has my respect 🫡 great dude met him at my high school 🏈 camp in Oakland. Him and Wisniewski gave us a speech about time management
This was a great video to watch, thanks Wifi 🙌🏾🙏🏾
Great job, Willie. You breathe life into one of the most forgotten athletes in NFL history. His physical size and abilities were akin to Megatron and Anthony Richardson, who caused such a stir in the 2023 Combine. At 6-41/2, 240 pounds, Pryor ran 40 yards in 4.38 yards. In high school, he was once the top-rated basketball and football player. I followed him from high school to the end of his career. It is a travesty how he was mishandled. It reflects a problem that still exists as we see quarterbacks dropped or traded rather than developed. Thanks.
Great video, appreciate the commentary and history for Pryor. I subscribed to keep up the good work
Again: Lifelong Chiefs fan here. Since the 80’s, so a lifer, not a Swiftie - and again, let me say I love your channel. Pryor man… everyone was an idiot with Pryor. Tbh if you did a series of videos specifically about players that every team wronged/used incorrectly/abused/threw away right away… that would be a super sweet series. I mean: you guys actually proved me right that the Chiefs front office fucked Gannon over. My dad and I started a Gannon chant in arrowhead back in 98-99 when we played the Jets. I rooted for him even when he was with you guys. Dude signed my 10th birthday cake in the grocery store because I recognized him and he asked me about the cake only to realize that we had the same birthday (Dec 20). Anyway - he’s one of the lucky ones. At least when he got screwed the third time after the Vikings drafted him - he eventually proved every dumbass wrong. Pryor didn’t get a chance to do that as a QB but he did as an athlete and a WR
Leave it to the fedz to sweet a poor guy over a tattoo
To sweet a poor guy?
They gave up on Pryor too quickly... There were too many problems around him to put much of anything on him.
Any QB is going to throw more interceptions when he's trying to make something happen with very little help.
Look at Brett Favre. He threw a lot of interceptions in his career with a lot more help than Pryor had and everyone basically ignored it.
And when Carr came around, he could have taken on a Taysom Hill kind of role, which would have been pretty unstoppable IMO.
Farve has the record for INTS.
@@mcfact1827 Yes, that combined with how accomplished of a QB he ended up being, is why I used him as an example. Pryor was also quite a bit more physically gifted.
Great video , Willie !
Great video Willie
Never been a Raiders fan however, I really enjoy your vids about such a historical franchise.
Geat job Willie!!
I honestly feel so robbed not getting to see him blow up as a WR after that insane season
Been watching since you were under 1k subs. You've come a long way. Great video, and thanks for all the content you give us
Watched it all, you filled in blanks, and I am subscribing.
Great job on this video, amazing as usually. Sad too to see how bad my Raiders were, and hopefully not anymore. I remember those bad days, awful days.
Great video Willie!!!! Really enjoyed this one brotha.
As a bronco fan, I love Wi-Fi Willy! It gives me another team to root for versus KC.
Aye!!!! We're happy to convert one at any time....welcome to the dark side haha
Plenty of Broncos fans watching it’s a good channel. We just keep our presence undercover without commenting 😂most of the time.
As far as I'm concerned, when we aren't playing each other we should all unite against KC, same with those 12 Charger fans. KC is always the biggest enemy
When not rooting for Broncos- I like the underdogs.. also, Raider fans endured..
Tuck Rule, Pete Rozelle vs Al Davis, Josh McDaniels, horrible GM’s/Al Davis picks
@@Scott-gc8lr I wish Mark Davis had listened to what Broncos fans thought about McDaniels, most of us Raiders fans were not too happy about that hire.
Terrelle Pryor made me a buckeye fan. He was crazy for that time period, but I was young and didn’t know all this shit happened so it’s crazy to see, and I’m a Raider fan lol
Great piece on Pryor.. Great point that we will never know how things could have been different for him. Wish him well.
don’t watch football, but i love hearing these stories. great content and what an athlete
Still watching... even tho the video ended 2 minutes ago... 😂😂😂 deciding on dinner staring at my phone
Great video, much needed!
I'm from beaver falls pa about 45 mins outside of Pittsburgh. I watched Terrele Pryor play QB in highschool. His Jeannette Jayhawks destroyed my beaver falls tigers in the 08 or 09 wpial championship. He was a stud and a half.
GREAT VID WILLIE!!
Great vid 🏴☠️ Thanks
Few years back i was cleaning it the house and found a Pryor jersey. Don't know how it got there but kept it non the less
I remember this, our coaching staff was like the land of misfit toys,( remember the train with square wheels ) if Jackson had stayed the coach, and we had a decent o line and defense who knows. To Pryor's credit, he was the very first mobile QB we ever had.
Luv this we need one like this for Darren McFadden💯
Great video.. keep up the great work 😊
Pryor was a damn good NFL player at QB and WR.
Good story I definitely like Pryor. The guy could definitely play football I just wish they would have tried building around him. He really was a good player I believe and I've been watching football since the '70s. Jamarcus Russell got more chances than lucky charm! Tyrell could definitely play He was above average minimum. When I saw him at dude was insanely fast You really can't tell until you see him live or anybody that is fast for that matter! Definitely one that was lost but we probably never would have gotten DC. Which has a another set of negative circumstances. It's sad that every time we talk about the Raiders in the last 21 years it's always how they were just off in one way or another. Maybe this is the year but my hopes aren't up they're definitely like they usually are. NOT THAT HOPEFUL! We will have to wait and see. Been a fan since '77 why quit now? RN4L🏈🏈🍻
I was at that 2012 game against the chargers
GREAT JOB WI FI GREAT KEEP IT UP!!!!!!! NO OTHER CHANEL PUTS UP BETTER VIDEOS ❤
I remember seeing that option run against Pittsburgh. Literally first play of the game and we won😂
The only player I know that came to the nfl and threw for over 2 thousand yards then converted to a wide receiver and received for more than a 1000 yards a season.
6:31 wow 🤯
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT BRO. GREAT DOCUMENTARY!
Duel threat quarterbacks have been around for several decades. Fran Tarkenton and Archie Manning were the true pioneers.
“The tattoo five” 😂
i loved him i wish he was given more time and had a better foundation with the team he could of been a special QB if he had a constant OC and HD will always remember that Steelers game I was there and it was my favorite one of all time
I flew across the country only to see Matt Flynn start
You can't make money off your own hard work and Name. However, a coach and university can. 😮 I never like the NCAA for that!
Proyer was my favorite QB to use in the older maddens even tho he was always a backup or 3rd
As a Steelers fan That 99 yard run against us is engraved in my head

Cj stroud excercising demons of Ohio state qbs past
Nice Video. Well done!
He walked a fine line.
😢🎉❤
Rest in peace, Jim Otto.
Terrelle Pryor was a really good college quarterback. A lot of people thought he was going to be good. He was a similar type Prospect to Pat White from West virginia. It didn't mean they were bad players they just didn't go to teams that transitioned them well to the NFL
This one is right in the feels
I thought Pryor was going to be our franchise quarterback. I bought both his home and away #2 jersey. I remember him giving a nasty stiff arm to LaRon Laundry
TERRELL PRYOR IZ THE "TEACHER" BIRTH CARD... 10 OF CLUBZ 💯 🔥 ✔️ RAAAAAIDDDERRRS LETZ GOOOOOOO!!!
What a star-crossed career. Terrelle deserved better.
W sponser w ad read w promo vid congrats. Awesome video love yall just win baby
That little I'm not a business man I'm a business man isn't Caleb Williams quote it's from a song lol.
Great video, Willie! Shows how a great player can be sabotaged by horrible management. Reminds me of JMD. How many players were ruined by him? This video also shows how bad the raiders were back then. Too bad it went this way for him. Pryor might have been better than "the guy we do not name" currently on kc. Thanks.
I liked Pryor, thought he had a lot of potential.
Nice video, thanks
Great video 📹 👍
As a Cowboys fan I'll say i actually liked Terrell pryor as a qb but hes better as a receiver
If Terrell Pryor would have gotten drafted in the league today i believe he would shine.. the league has always hated on black qb's, its just now its become undeniable with players like Mahomes winning the last 2 Superbowls and Lamar Jackson being a 2 time MVP
True
I loved him at Ohio State. I was really sad to see what happened over a tattoo. That was the beginning of the end for him. Also, he was drafted at the wrong time. If they would have had a good QB that he could've learned from, it would've helped. He needed time to develop. You look at other QB's that came in the league to bad teams and they all fair the same.
After 1984 it’s been one excuse after another
Shoutout to wifi willie
Good video.
1:24 sayin he could’ve been better than Cam is crazy😂
I wonder if he was blasting “Smashing Pumpkins” while he was smashing pumpkins on her car????
He was solid.
Being a student athlete was a joke in the 90s and 00s. You couldn’t even have a part time job and had to try and live off loans and stipends that were ridiculous. If you weren’t a star you didn’t even get a full ride scholarship. If you earned a living they would violate your amateur status. I used to loop under the table and do all the club work for the country club just to make ends meet.
Pryor would’ve been great in todays NFL
Great video
Loved Pryor at OSU 🔥
It's crazy because Pryor was a beast wr & even made the Browns decent when he played QB then he pretty much disappeared.. check out Lynn Bowden JR. Highlights how this kid gets no time at all in the NFL is weird AF
He definitely a real fan
