My favorite moment on Inside The NBA was back in 2006. The Nuggets were playing the Clippers in the playoffs. Cris Kamen of Clippers and Reggie Evans of the Nuggets got into a scuffle. Evans basically grabs Kamen’s 🥜 from behind. And Ernie when describing it says that Evans “Got his hands caught in the cookie jar.” 😄 Charles responds “I don’t know where you get yo cookies from!” 😄 Kenny responds “This is nuts!” 🤣
They have to figure out a way to keep this crew and the show together.

Inside the NBA made the passing of Kobe much sadder, not only by seeing Shaq's reaction to the tragedy, but also by seeing Shaq carve out a lane for himself post playing days. To be real, TNT losing the NBA is a major casualty of cord cutting. Since the demand to see sports on non-cable platforms is high, we’ll be seeing more cable channels lose their rights to major sports to OTA TV and streaming in the near future. With cord cutting on the rise, cable channels no longer have the strength to hold on to their precious things they’ve had for many years. I love Inside the NBA, don’t get me wrong, but the decline of cable TV is the main reason sports is moving to other platforms moving forward. So NBA on TNT is the major victim of that decline. I’ll miss Inside the NBA so much when it does end.

Ernie is LITERALLY one of the best baseball commentators in the entire sport and if TNT loses the rights to the NBA, they are just going to have him do more baseball.

The fact he can sit there, after ALL THE FAME, and acknowledge the people who have helped him get to that point....the ones behind the scenes to prop him up, create those moments on TV and help him continue in the limelight is just beautiful to say the least. He isn't perfect, he sucks as a basketball analyst, but he is an absolutely beautiful, flawed, and yet ever growing person. He has somehow become a role model after that commercial. Man your writing in this video really is so pleasant. Taking the time to shortly explain side stories to bring a sense of closure, and going into the timeline of the show this thoroughly is some high quality content. Loved the metaphor of the broken mold when you were talking about the argument between Ernie and Tim. So many of these videos on RUclips are usually very structured and formulaic, idk i feel like it's cool how human this video felt.

Thank You for this video . A fitting tribute as well. I took a few years off from watching the NBA , and I heard that the show was on tenuous footing [while still being great ] . I was confused until saw barnacles that are involved in the bidding. I guess they bored of failing with their own programming. Thank you.

On the Dan Patrick show, Chuck mentioned he may try and fold the inside the nba studio/show into his production company and potentially try and sell it to nbc or Amazon. Win-Win for Amazon since it would be a plug and play gold standard show while win for Chuck and the rest of them in terms of big money compensation.

wow, great work on this video. I'm new to your channel and can't wait to see more of your content. I can see the big effort you've put into this video, might have taken you a lot of hours to research all those informations. I like how you go in detail and show the whole situation, why it is where it is now, what had to change and how it changed. I also like how you integrate every member of the current show. Thank you, I really like those stories.
Me personally I like the show but on some occassions I think it goes a little bit to far with freedom what they're allowed to do. I mean, per instance Charles is about to be totally honest and real about the situation on whatever topic and in the same moment Shaq (or someone else) throughs something against him (water, a Ball, or whatever) or just makes a joke about it.
I'm not saying this doesn't have a spot. It has a spot but sometimes maybe it has to be a little less of that funny stuff. But maybe that's just me.
What I really like is to see that even after all those years they're off the court as a professional Basketball player, they still kept there skills (look at the guy which challenged kenny with the 3 point contest in the studio).
I enjoy the show and I hope it will continue even after 2025 and a new owner.
