Hi ! It's been a while.. My hair grown quite a bit but looks really small cause of shrinkage but that's besides the point 😅 Im still struggling with single strand knots , split ends and dryness and crispiness , I don't know what to do.. I find myself cutting my ends everyday and I feel like I'm hindering growth you know.. I really don't know at this point , I hit a year of growth last week by the way
I have switched to putting my shampoo on a spray bottle and diluting it with water. Now I only shampooing my scalp and lightly spray my hair with shampoo and I find it keeps my hit from drying out as much as if I were to put shampoo on my hair, lather it, and repeat. I also only shampoo once now. I recently read that getting your hair squeaky clean also gets rid of any healthy oils so I don’t strive for squeaky clean hair. Hopefully I can get a video up about how I do it. I will say I feel a significant different in my moisture retention I’m struggling more with single strand knots not that my hair is longer. Keeping it in mini twists helps for me but I also need a trim really bad. Have you gone to a professional to get your hair trimmed? Congratulations to hitting a year! That’s big! The first year is honestly the most difficult, in my opinion. I’m so happy for you!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Imma try do that , I think the shampoo really dries out my already dry hair so I think that will help , I think i might try shea moisture or something , nothing seems to get into my hair. No I haven't gotten a trim , I don't even know where you get those cause if I ask my barber , I think he'll cut off my whole head of hair 😅 , I've been struggling with single strands and knots since I was 6 months in , now , it seems like they're all over my head

Hopefully it being less dry will help with single strand knots too. But if I find an ultimate fix for single strand knots, you’ll be the first person I tell 🤗

Got my hair braided today for the first time and I have a bit of anxiety considering how the lady blow dried my hair , like there was a bit of smoke/steam and it hurt the whole time.. Like almost unbearable , maybe it's because my hair is quite short and was a bit tangled but it felt like she was ripping through my hair and the steam/smoke is giving me anxiety that I might have possibly damaged my hair 😭
My question is , is it normal to see a bit of that steam/smoke and is the blow drying process supposed to be painful ? I know I got breakage from the way she was combing and handling my hair , it's disappointing cause I spent all this time babying my hair to make it healthy and today , I could've possibly thrown it all away , only way I can tell is when I take the braids out

What's the difference in benefits between the reg conditioner instructions and the deep conditioner instructions on the hair
I think the concentration of the protein can be higher for the regular conditioner bc it’s left on for less time
