I have a standard 2017 M140i auto with the adaptive suspension, it's a brilliant daily driver. If I could run two cars, I'd give the M140i a stage 2 tune for sure, and have a shitter as a daily :-))

When a man experiences a Limited Slip Diff for the first time. A sight to behold. Reminds me when I used to pull over in the old 205 just so I could pull away with one tyre in the gravel.

Great video as always. What LSD was it and was there a particular reason for choosing that LSD?
Andy P m performance it was mate! You’d have to ask Chris his reasons.. @buerchris on Instagram ...
Andy P a few reasons. 1.) I'm more familiar with a plated diff rather than a torque biasing one and find it easier to drift / control. 2.) It was quicker to fit as it's a it's a complete unit where the open diff is dropped out and the M Diff slots in its place. With the Quaife they have to dismantle your open diff and put the Quaife bits in it. This meant to fit the M Performance one was a day compared to 3 days for the Quaife. 3.) Finally when it comes to selling, you can just swap the diffs back over and sell the M Performance one which you can't with the Quaife. So the cost of the M Performance one, factoring in the fact you can sell it as a unit, makes it the more cost effective option.
Loving the car.
Mine has a safe map to 412bhp / 576nm torque, and a very linear power curve, almost matches the stock map.
Desperately needs a locking diff now, need to get back to work and save the pennies !

@@TimWilliamsHD Finally had a 200 cell cat, ITG air filter, and stage 2 custom tune/map done.
It made 455bhp/634nm !
I really REALLY need an LSD now Tim hahah ....

Great video, I have the M240i stage 1 litchfield which puts out approximately 435bhp, mine feels rapid compared to my old M135i, I’ll happily keep mine now until the M5 competition gets down to a reasonable price. 👍🏻

With stage 1 YOU DON'T HAVE 435 HP, YOUR TUNER IS A LAYER, EVERY IN GERMANY WITH CATLLES DOWNPIPE, AIR COLD INTAKE SPORT EXAUST AND 102 OCKTANE AND STAGE 1 HAVE 410-417 HP, NO WAY 435 HP WITH STAGE1
Georgios Ioakeimidis well if you say Litchfield are liars ( or layers according to you ) then that’s fine !! I have dyno graphs to prove before / after. And before you say litchfield use exactly the same dyno system as porsche. I independently got a 2nd test done from SRR and that showed 437bhp. But mate if you say so it must be true. ( after market tuning in Germany has some huge rules legally so there dyno results are let’s say very very conservative )

Stock cat ? With 450 Bhp what is this witchcraft you speak of?
Check out my Instagram @buerchris and my dyno map is on there. It made 450bhp at both Litchfield and Surrey Rolling Road. Next stage is a sports cat and a re-tweak 👍

Chris Buer ok , I take it it will need a map tweak when fitted , I’ve done 4000 miles now in mine and thinking about a litchfield map as I live 10 mins away but not sure if I want to lose the warranty ,although I know these engines can take big power without a sweat just thinking about costs when things go wrong
Adam I would say costs are fairly low given how many of these cars there are out there. A lot of been written off so it's not like you have to fork out "M car" costs for them.
The Litchfield map is very conservative, but makes the car very quick. It's a great blend of practicality and performance. I was also told by a reliable independent rolling road that Litchfield did the best maps for these cars. I can't comment either way but I'm really pleased with my map. It drives like stock when you're just taking it easy but really flies when you give it a bit of throttle. I love it.
Personally I would get the car mapped with any hardware changes, just so that you know you're getting the most out of the mods. I think once I have the sports cat fitted, I'll stop as it's plenty fast enough already. Especially with the XHP gearbox map as well 👍
