The Motech springs that came off are the "Stance Plus" springs 30mm front and 25mm rear. Motech offer the normal "Stance" which are Eibach springs which are 25mm front and 20mm rear. But the Stance Plus are branded as Motech's own spring. They disclose that they're made in the Netherlands (most likely Apex springs.) I'm running that stance plus at the moment. (That intake is insane! Thanks man)
I actually own a M140i with a stage 1 tune. And watching your face as you drive it SMILING 😃. (You don't drive the RS3 like that)That's how drive to work every day. BTW keep the content coming. Love it.
You really need to change the dampers buddy, a lot of people change just the springs but the handling and body control is massively improved with a good set of b8 dampers.
@@Liono_Monkey I wouldn’t say they are harsher , slightly stiffer yes , but they handle the bumps so much more better , I have only done 1000 miles with them and they seem to be getting better with every drive 👍
@@Addselwyn mm good! Is that in comparison to std adaptive with standard M140i springs? Std rear springs are very high spring rate. My M235i doesn't suffer with that with Std M Sport springs. But currently running B4 adaptive with M Performance springs. Ride is much harsher than M P springs with OEM adaptive.
@@Liono_Monkey I’m comparing it to the car fitted with the oem adaptive dampers and eibach pro kit , i changed the oem springs straight away due to the rear springs being 587 LB / inch . I think the M Performance springs have a high spring rate as well , and was advised not to use them ,due to this

Sounds and acts like my German Shepherd puppy that low growl when you try and take your socks back and its arse stepping out when it turns onto the hall tiles.. love it 👍
@@ARDEN440i you’ll hear the difference when the cars under load, ie when driving. Revving won’t do it justice but it makes a huge difference when the turbo spools up
I’m loving this build. I have a m135i LCI Auto and jusy placed an order for Eibach Pro’s. Also, bmw have quoted me 3k for the m performance lsd and now I don’t know whether I want to change to Wavtrac. Keep up the good work bro
They are cheaper because they aren’t AWD like the Golf R. The Golf R is more or less VW’s flagship car, where the 40i is only an M-lite. Also the rear wheel drive aspect scares some people away over the AWD alternatives. 140i/240i B58 engine is unreal so don’t worry about any issues there.
@@hermano1515 my opinion is if your buying a BMW it’s because you want that RWD experience. Xdrive just doesn’t excite me. If you like xdrive you should maybe look at the new line up of 1 series. The 128ti is meant to be a solid car.

Best thing i done to my m140i was a midpipe delete to my mpe exhaust from bcs powervalve up my neck of the woods totally recommend it the bmw technicians at williams say thats how the car was meant to sound from factory
The Motech stance+ springs are NOT eibach. Very cleverly marketed by motech they don’t mention much about the actual maker of the springs. Had a set on my car they weren’t great, replaced with their Motech stance springs which are made by eibach and fitted b8 dampers and it’s great now. I think the stock dampers are not up to the job even on a stock car.
You can remove the grills like that!!!!😮 without having to un screw the top side wow! Mate get 4 ps4’s all round absolutely transformed my car can use the power 90% of the time im stage 1

@@JO3KAH they are essentially kw v1 coilovers just with a different coating , you’ll find lots of info online about them , its solid and planted most of the time but i still think it needs poly bushing to finish it off
Stage 2 on Wednesday, then Stage 2+ soon after, should tide us nicely until the Pure800 turbo arrives, Stage 3 😁

I’m a adaptive guy , with Bilstein b6 Damptronics and Eibach pro springs , best of both worlds
What are the B6 DT's in comfort mode like? Harsher than OEM dampers? I have B4 DT

For 200-300 pounds less you get a proper coilover like ST-X
Paid £640 for st x coilovers on my 1 series and couldn’t be happier with them
