Thats why tyre size matters, the supra had a 285 width tyre, and the 140i had 255 width tyre = less traction for the 140i
The 140 is launching in 1st, the Supra is launching in 2nd - in the wet. Same engine, same power, same gearbox - launching in different gears completely nullifies the result.
It seemed like he didn't know that he could modulate the pedal. Treating like an on/off switch

What I’d rather on the driveway is the supra, but when you consider the price v a f20/f22 140/240 you’d have to have some deep pockets to justify it the supra over its older cheaper counter part options from BMW that are also more practical with rear seats. In fact, for the price diffence you can buy a 140 or 240 and have it running 650/700hp for the price of a standard mk5 supra.

Wouldn't say it's driver 🤪..goes to show how the same transmission is TUNED slightly differently with Toyota vs BMW. As well as where the weight is actually distributed in the cars. Also sure it doesn't hurt that your Supra has 285 psFOURS... while the BMW is 255 psFIVES. Wider/gripier tire. 🤪 But I'd have the Supra over both regardless.
Toyota didn’t tune the gearbox. The newer ZF8 has a different 1st & 2nd ratio

No supra has pulled my tu! BMW gave Toyota there slower closed deck engine.
PS5’s have better wet grip than the PS4S’s. And it looks damp so should have more grip

Quick bit of info for those that don’t know; the A90s have a very different B58 setup to the M140i’s, the main changes being that the A90 has an Uprated fuel pump & slightly larger turbo. BUT the A90’s have an internal manifold & charge cooler which causes very high IATs as soon as they’re 460hp+ compared to the 140i’s (which at this moment in time can only be fixed with meth, ethanol fuel or changing out the whole intake manifold for something like the CSF Uprated one).
The BM3 OTS Stage 2 is the perfect map on the A90s with STOCK turbo as it doesn’t push enough boost to raise the IATs and pull timing, my A90 when it was stock turbo was running consistent flat 7s & even a 6.9 100-200 & ~3.8s 0-60 which is a fair bit quicker than most Stock turbo M140i’s, uprating my stock turbo to my hybrid turbo was actually slower than the stock turbo until I had the meth installed due to the heavy timing pull because of high IATS 🤣
Not in anyway knocking the 140i though value for money they’re pretty unbeatable & the tuning that MK has done on that M140i running a stock fuel pump really does deserve a 👏

Sounds like biased talk because you own an a90. I've not known anyone to replace intake manifolds on m140is? As you can see in countless videos downpipe is all is needed for stage 2. Stage 2+ is higher pressure fuel pump and another after is hybrid or larger turbo. They is also m140is hitting high 6s stage 2 as you can see on the forums

Has the 140i got the TU pump? Stage 2+ or is it just stage 2, as the GR will have the TU from stock so has the advantage and will be running more power? B58 are 👑 when I put the TU off the supra on my 340i going from stage 2 to 2+ was a noticeable difference

I didn't realize I watched this video 8 months ago. Here I am back again. The roll race is what I needed to see. He was spinning in the launches. The next car I plan to get is a 2020 M240i in the future. I am saving up money so I can sell my stock 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8.

I just got mine stage 2+ tuned would’ve been a good comparison between the supra b58 and mine dyno proven at 463, if his is only stage 2 I reckon it was pushing 420-440ish. Then again I could be mistaken.
Fair play to Both drivers though, it’s not easy controlling these off the line
