The one thing I do wanna point out is that Mary Gibbs, the voice actress for Boo, can barely stay in the recording booth for longer than an hour. So Pixar just followed her with a microphone on her so that we can hear her laughs, cries, and vocalizations.

Monsters, Inc. is definitely my absolute favorite film from my childhood and it’s the one Pixar film I rewatch the most. It's funny, heartwarming, has such likable characters, and great voice acting. Pete Docter (Director of this film) would later go on to direct Up, Inside Out, and Soul, all of which are amazing and has an enormous amount of heart.
Billy toddlers are magic. Also, the voice of boo is actually voiced by someone’s daughter, who worked on the movie, they followed her around with a tape recorder.
Mary Gibbs. The thing that upsets me is that Monsters at Work is *not* gonna have boo in the series, even though the last episode of season 1 is mixed with the ending of the movie!

I soooo miss movies like this that were just pure class and have jokes that grow up with you - I mean who uses jazz in an intro anymore??? And when Mike says "those were alphabetised", my brother and I didn't understand that until we were older and its absolutely hysterical😂
I miss the really old children’s movie intros. They are hand painted and tell a story in themselves as the pictures change (ie. The rescuers). I hated how long they were as a kid but now that I’m older I appreciate how much time was put into them and the art is stunning
And the point is about the writing of these films is that they were tailoring to the adults just as much as the kids. My dad tells me how many movies my brother and I made him sit thru but he always says this was one of the few that he would gladly watch in his own time. The Incredibles was another that we all still love for its style and jokes

My son loved this movie when he was 3 years old. Like, he was obsessed! My FIL bought him a Sully doll that, if you squeeze his tummy, says lines from the film. However, it also makes facial expressions too, which is creepy AF. The first time that my son saw it, he freaked out and was so scared that you could clearly see his heart pounding in his chest! My FIL felt so bad! I wound up finding a non-talking Sully and Mike, but I kept the other one, because it was a gift and I thought that it was cool. Well, my son is now 11 and can just finally allow it to be in his room. He will let it say its lines, but only if he squeezes it, no exceptions.

Yep, you did give us good job advice. 👏 Also, Mons. Univ. does a great job explaining through whole kid fear. The backstory of how the monsters started working together. 💪 Best part is how some people thing Boo is the witch from Brave. Also, the monster saying a kid flew and blew up a car, their is a theory that it was Jack Jack from the Incredibles.
When I was a little children, I had a blanket once that was knitted so it's had holes all in it by design. I tried to hide under it when I woke up seeing ghosts floating in my room passing through the walls but I could still see them😭 all wearing hats and one of them driving a yellow jeep lol. I was so scared and that dang blanket didn't save me at all, I just eventually had to sneak out from under my cover and ran outta my room to my parents room. I was in like kindergarten 😂
You also need to watch Galaxy Quest, The Waterboy, Inspector Gadget, Edward Scissorhands, The Iron Giant, Anastasia, Robots, Rat Race, Good Burger, Tooth Fairy, Speed Racer, Get Smart, The Spy Next Door, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, Elvis, Lightyear, & Disney’s The Kid,
The childhood movie that inspired my nickname (“Boo”) that my parents only call me. 😊 I think I watched this movie daily for almost a year. So happy for this reaction! Monsters university next!!!
I have the same nickname! For my fourth birthday my parents made a cake that had Boo on it (except with my hair and eye color) and I actually have a jacket with Boo monogrammed onto it!
All the feels for boo ❤❤❤ my son was born in the middle of October and when he was a newborn I dressed him up as sully and my daughter up as boo since they are less than 2 years apart ❤😇
16:35 there's a theory out there saying she could be Violet from The Incredibles, sounds highly likely considering how easily she got out of sight of Mike and Sully without them knowing 🤔
When the monsters go through the door, they’re basically going through different time periods. It would be incredibly hard for the parents to track her or even find her at all. Then, when Randall sent the door back, he turned off the power, so it turned back into a regular closet. Her parents would not have been able to find her either way. Then I’m pretty sure time for her world slows down or stops. Because every time they open, the door is open to a dark bedroom that has no change to it.
FYI for all those who enjoy older movies with incredible monsters…the restaurant Mike and Celia are at on their date is called “Harryhausen’s”. In real life Ray Harryhausen invented a form of stop motion model animation known as Dynamation. It was used in movies like “20 Million Miles to Earth” , “Jason and the Argonauts”, “Mighty Joe Young”, “The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad” along with many others. For me some of the BEST movie monsters ever thought of. Checkout these oldies for some fun! Cheers
Hey Billy! Have you heard of the Pixar Theory? It's a huge hypothesis that links all the Pixar movies together as if they're in the same timeline. The Super Carlin Brothers have a great introductory video on it and add to it as new movies came out! I HIGHLY recommend checking it out if you wanna hear more about Boo (she has a pretty large role in it 😊😊)
I don't know if you have seen the theories, but the child the monsters mention on tv, make references to a character from another pixar movie rather than boo.
12:45-12:47 There’s a theory that the monsters on the news were talking about Jack Jack from during the Incredibles 2 when he was in different dimensions during the cookie scene
Im not sure if this was done intentionally or not but the monster that got interviewed, talking about the baby with laser eyes, its Jack-Jack from Incredibles. The lil baby can traverse dimensions aswell, lil homie is stacked.
I’m liking the new intro! Awesome job boss man. Keep up the hard grind, absolutely love watching all of your reactions specially the Marvel movies and animated stuff.
I always love your reactions, but it was fascinating to watch this through the lens of the father of a little girl. I haven't really watched this since I was a kid (older than Boo, but a kid), and it always surprises me how good these Pixar movies are, even as an adult!
Enjoyed the reaction Billy! I love Monsters Inc and your commentary about your daughter and loving kids when she came into your life really warmed my heart.
This is one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time. It's very emotional, has hilarious moments and crazy actions. Mary Gibbs as Boo was so adorable and very clever 💗💗💗🤣🤣🤣
As a little kid I was always scared by Randall even though its a family members name. Like I would hide under blankets because I thought Randall would come out of my closet.
I loved this movie when i was little and still do one of my favorites I've watched it many times by myself and with my mom i loved boo and sully moments are so cute and heartwarming also my one of my favorite scenes is boo defeating Randall it made me laugh so much she got em good
I agree on your bit about learning other people's jobs helping with promotions. I entered the running for a higher position and the only reason I didn't get it was a lack of experience with other jobs in the factory. I'm in the process of learning what each line does so the next time around I can stand a much better chance.
I didn't like kids either. Never wanted any. Had my son, and at first it was hard for me to cope with being a single mom, then his sweet little soul became my sunshine, my heart, my world. Now kids just make me smile 😊
Hey Billy! Some movie recommendations are; The greatest showman (musical) , missing (2023, thriller), Mulan 2, (animated musical) orphan and orphan first kill ( horror, thriller) Big hero 6 ( animated action superhero movie) Btw I love your videos
I’ve been waiting for this one!! I’m ready to laugh (which is fitting for this movie considering what happens at the end lol) I totally get the horror thing. There were a couple parts that traumatized me as a kid… like that suction part OMG😱😆
How do I start my day? BREAKFAST. I wake up in the morning and my stomach is growling up a storm. I know there are some people who can't eat breakfast, who don't like to eat breakfast or just don't need it. I do. If I don't have breakfast, I'm sluggish the whole day until lunch time. My breakfast with my morning coffee (decaf) is how I really feel awake.
Should I watch the rest of the Monster Inc series? I think its like two more. But im not sure.

Also, the monster saying a kid flew and blew up a car, their is a theory that it was Jack Jack from the Incredibles.
Back in my day this was on a blue VHS tape 💙💙 love you Billy 💞 thank you for getting us all thru the day!
Do you remember the orange Nickelodeon tapes?
@@ericjohnson6120 yes i have the Rugrats movie still 😂
19:32 Billy, your sudden shocked reaction has me so freaking dead !!
Never seen Billy be more of a Dad than in this video 😊 the 17 again video was a close second
Mike is a real one. He knew how depressed Sully was and did him that big favor.
You also need to watch
Galaxy Quest, The Waterboy, Inspector Gadget, Edward Scissorhands, The Iron Giant, Anastasia, Robots, Rat Race, Good Burger, Tooth Fairy, Speed Racer, Get Smart, The Spy Next Door, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, Elvis, Lightyear, & Disney’s The Kid,
when i wake up, i either get on my phone, or stay in bed, while awake, or just get up and go to the living room
Being a kid in this movie and entering into the monster universe this would have to be your worst nightmare.
Waiiitttttt 😭😭😭😭😭 Did you watch the bloopers??? I was looking forward to you reacting to those 😭
3:02 16:39 ABSOLUTELY FOUL😭😭😭 Mike didn't deserve this
All the feels for boo ❤❤❤ my son was born in the middle of October and when he was a newborn I dressed him up as sully and my daughter up as boo since they are less than 2 years apart ❤😇
12:38 Fun Fact, they originaly showed that restaurant being BLOWN UP. You can find this version online

Billy saying that Boo knows magic is so on brand with the Pixar Theory 😂
12:45-12:47 There’s a theory that the monsters on the news were talking about Jack Jack from during the Incredibles 2 when he was in different dimensions during the cookie scene
I watched this so much with my niece when she was little. She's 23 now & I still call her Boo ❤
16:22 actually yes. Boo is a sorcerer. I think you already watched Brave. You gotta take a look at it again🫣look for the Easter eggs.
This movie has some of the most iconic beginning and end credits, love this film.
16:42 Funny that you said that. Because in The Pixar Theory, it is believed that boo is the witch from Brave.
Im not sure if this was done intentionally or not but the monster that got interviewed, talking about the baby with laser eyes, its Jack-Jack from Incredibles. The lil baby can traverse dimensions aswell, lil homie is stacked.
This, the incredibles, finding Nemo and life bug are absolute classics! I watched so many times growing up!!
This was my favorite movie growing up. I would call my dad “kitty” and he called me “boo”
There really is nothing sweeter than a little kids laughter.
This is one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time. It's very emotional, has hilarious moments and crazy actions. Mary Gibbs as Boo was so adorable and very clever
💗💗💗🤣🤣🤣
As a little kid I was always scared by Randall even though its a family members name. Like I would hide under blankets because I thought Randall would come out of my closet.
I loved this movie when i was little and still do one of my favorites I've watched it many times by myself and with my mom i loved boo and sully moments are so cute and heartwarming also my one of my favorite scenes is boo defeating Randall it made me laugh so much she got em good
Billy Crystal also voices a character in Howl's Moving Castle (2004) 🏰🔥
I agree on your bit about learning other people's jobs helping with promotions. I entered the running for a higher position and the only reason I didn't get it was a lack of experience with other jobs in the factory. I'm in the process of learning what each line does so the next time around I can stand a much better chance.
I didn't like kids either. Never wanted any. Had my son, and at first it was hard for me to cope with being a single mom, then his sweet little soul became my sunshine, my heart, my world. Now kids just make me smile 😊
Hey Billy! Some movie recommendations are; The greatest showman (musical) ,
missing (2023, thriller),
Mulan 2, (animated musical)
orphan and orphan first kill ( horror, thriller)
Big hero 6 ( animated action superhero movie)
Btw I love your videos
I’ve been waiting for this one!! I’m ready to laugh (which is fitting for this movie considering what happens at the end lol) I totally get the horror thing. There were a couple parts that traumatized me as a kid… like that suction part OMG😱😆
Your channel has become my comfort zone. Thanks Billy 😊
