Just realized this piece is a 1:1 copy from Gluck's Furientanz.
And here is the full concert video in which we paired Gluck and Boccherini. 😊 ruclips.net/video/N4yMvxAdoi4/видео.html
Gluck 1762, Boccherini 1771. Naughty Boccherini.
This reminds me of Dance of the Furies from Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice.
It was based on it. Boccherini's homage à Gluck. 😊
"remind" is not quite correct .. its more like a 1:1 copy!
@@HR-yd5ibNot quite "1:1" ... lol. There are some significant differences, although it is quite similar in overall style and tone. And (as I said earlier) definitely based on the Gluck.
i have watched the Bremer Barockorchester play quite a few pieces now. One thing that appeals to me, is not just the excellence of play, but their passions and clear enjoyment. Here they seem to be concentrating hard, not much delight in their faces. Not saying they do not enjoy, but clearly this piece requires intense concentration and skill. Credit to them.
First performance I've ever heard with timpani. I wonder if they were indicated in the original score. ... 😮
I have listened to a lot of Boccherini. To my indictment, never knew he composed symphonies. Listened to this, and only one word, 'Wow.' 1:44, can music be more triumphant?
He didn't. This is a 1:1 copy from Gluck.
This is only the last movement, the first three movements are missing
Brilliant presentation music extraordinaire, fast paced with exciting percussion! `Salutes!
[Happy New Year!]
Reminds me also of Haydn's symphony 80!
Agreed. This was composed in 1771, Haydn's symphony 80 in 1784.
Ottima musica e splendida esecuzione, per campanilismo: brava Azzurra. Splendida esecuzione
Stupenda musica e stipendi esecutori come sempre! Auguri vivissimi di un buon anno ricco di successi @❤
Es gibt viele leuten hier nicht wahr.... Franzosin und mehr ❤🎉
