Boccherini is very much an underrated composer. When it comes for theme going onto theme onto theme, he is unbeatable. His music rarely gets boring. His quitar quintets exemplify this.
La musica non conosce barriere. Boccherini riuscí a comporre capolavori simili grazie alla sua formazione a Vienna (culla del classicismo musicale di fine 1700 inizio 1800) dove venne in contatto con Haydn, e si è poi definitivamente trasferito a Madrid, sempre mantenendo i contatti con i compositori della corte Viennese. La sua abilitá come compositore (specialmente per strumenti ad arco) è innegabile, ma è sciocco tracciare limiti e muri tra le esperienze musicali nazionali. È solo grazie al reciproco scambio fra culture e fra singoli compositori che l'espressione musicale ha raggiunto tali vette.
