If they don't want drones flying, why don't they prove why to the CAA, who if they have a safety issue, would create a no fly zone. You auditors accept those zones so the refinery wouldn't have a problem.

Earlier this year than CAA set up no fly zones around prisons. There is also new legislation in the pipeline allowing the Police and others to establish no fly zones, and these will soon be up and running.
Then we have the current CAA review where the biggest single response has been complaints about idiots using drones simply to annoy and aggravate.
There is a real danger that idiots like those will be the cause of increased legislation and the removal of the concessions for sub 250g drones

The UK is criss-crossed with pipelines most of them WERE government owned and laid down during the cold war. Their purpose was to pump from west coast ports to supply USAF bases on the east coast. Others ran south to Bristol and then across to London. Spurring off from the pipelines were secret strategic storage bases often below ground or hidden in hillsides. Over the years the major oil companies have supplemented the system with their own pipelines like the one from Anglesey to Stanlow and then further on branching off into Manchester airport. The government system has now been sold off to a foreign company. The petro-chemical industry has dramatically contracted from it's hey day in the 70's and 80's. Most refineries have closed and numerous multi-national companies have pulled out of the UK.

It's nothing you can't see on Google maps. Did they kick off to Google when the Google satellite took images over their property?
It's just pathetic and along the same lines of people complaining about people who park outside their house. Just like people say you don't own the road outside your self so have no entitlement to park there, the companies need to get with the times and realise they don't own the air space.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one DJE because believe it or not, I used to be Personal Assistant to the Purchasing Manager for an oil company in my area..... I totally loved the job for 16 years. I dealt with Esso, Shell, BP, Q8 and lots more companies. Our company made grease and oil etc. believe it or not, I was a fire officer lol... If our company went up. It would have taken a lot of my area with it. So I can totally understand why those people on site were worried. We had a few near misses with grease fires. I always said that if our company was totally on fire, I would NOT be on the car park doing a fire officer job... You have to be in the industry to realise how dangerous the oils and chemicals are... but I really enjoyed this video, it took me back to the job I loved the most. Thank you DJE 💖 xxx

@@DJEMEDIA to be honest, I thought that they were dangerous because of car crashes. It only takes one crash to ignite the fuel... Our grease plant was a nightmare. We were connected to the local fire station. We had grease, oils, antifreeze etc. but I loved that job the best. All those high profile companies like Esso, Shell, BP, were a total pleasure to work with. The guy in the car, in my opinion, was just concerned who you were... If I was still working for my old company. I could have got you on site no problem lol. The managers I worked with were sound as a pound. You would have been welcome. But our company was home from home. I hated it when we got taken over by a foreign company x this my favourite video that you have done 👍👍👍✅ xx

@@DJEMEDIA I agree. He could have explained to you about the issues he was worried about... He was really hostile at first and then mellowed. People are going to be curious about sites like that because I really find them interesting as I worked in the industry but I never got to walk on the shop floor. I was in the offices. But I did go to an oil refinery once and it was amazing in Irlam... I think that you did a great job filming though. I'm still reeling from it. Much better for me than the hotels lol.... Xx

They can't have blue light fitted to a vehicle if it goes out on the public highway. It has a registration plate so I am guessing they do sometimes. They can also not have a blue light fitted to a vehicle even on private land if it is within view of a public highway.

If there was a problem you would be hidden and they would have little to no, knowledge about who what where and as he stated the size of the site makes finding you very difficult and unlikely. The boss was bullish has hell which they tend to be (with little provocation) Brilliant interaction with the police especially when being directed by major companies and he even explained to security that you could do it. Which surprised me, However I would be surprised if your details were not covertly obtained as with whats going on in Ukraine has frightened both companies like this AND UK security services (and not just the police)

The pipeline won't have many pipes inside. It's one pipe that you send fuel through. When you want to switch fuel types you flush it through with an inert fuel.
The security guy got it wrong by saying you could go onsite with cameras. They aren't intrinsically safe.

Ever wondered where the double cross XX in exxon comes from?
the double Xs found on the Exxon logo is a reference to the double cross, or the Cross of Lorraine as used in freemasonry, and worn by the Knight Templars during the crusade by permission of the King of Jerusalem.
The oil and gas supergiant is a descendant of J.D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil. In 1999 it merged with another descendent of Standard Oil, Mobil, to form ExxonMobil. The Cross of Lorraine remained.

He could come back tomorrow with a tent and live there till they get a civil court injunction to move him on, which can take months.
Ask a traveler about moving off private land when asked and what the cops can do about it there and then.

When you say your viewers will be interested in what you do here to workers and so on like the refinery, i dont think many are. All about the interactions nothing else. The hotels were better because as aswell as the interactions, it was also informative as it let the public know where the tax payers money was going, how it was spent, how nice the hotels were etc . Refinerys i dont think many care.

6:30 Flying a drone over somewhere is not a security breach because no security has been breached. There are no barriers up in the air to be breached. There are no security guards up in the air to be breached. There are no laws that stop a sub 250g drone flying over a place so its no illegal either. So it is allowed.
