The fact that your one and two legged take off attempts are very similar is rather special. Most people are better at one or the other. My one legged vert was about 4+ inches lower than my two legged vert. 😢
Gaining 4-5 inches in 3 months is really good. It took me 3-6 months to get from 24-30 inches (no weight training), 1 month to get from 30 to 33 (no weight training, but I was 4 years older), and 3 months to get from 33-35 (proper programming)
That’s awesome. I think I had a good amount of strength of technique prior to trying this program but wasn’t consistent enough for it to show. Proper programming definitley changes the game. It sounds like you had some ridiculous growth! That’s awesome!!
Sick video! Strength training and ployos are great, but at the end of the day, the most important exercise is to attempt dunks. Try to jump on a basketball court trying to dunk or touch the rim, and the backboard in loads of different variations and I promise this will get you your first dunk in a couple weeks if not days.
@@johnathanenglish3702 applies to anyone. I knew a kid 5’5 who was super close to getting a dunk and when I told him about the cheat code that just trying to dunk is he had it within a month. He’s a freak of nature yes, but the thing that helped him take the next step was just doing the thing.
Thank you! And I agree, I didn’t get a lot of footage unfortunately during those weeks. I’m hoping to do a more in-depth video on the program itself in the future 👀
I am 12 now (finally), I am 5.7 and that's my 4th months in basketball, I started with plyometrics and work out right away. last week I was able to dunk to elementary school hoop, which i could not do 3 months ago.
Haha thank you I appreciate it! I’ve been trying to make the highest quality content possible, so I’ve been taking extra time to produce videos. Plus I’m a full-time college student 😂 Next one comes out today though!! Thanks again for your support!
Yo bro saw u had a SJU shirt on and looked up ur ig. Had no idea u went to la salle😂. Wasn’t old enough to be there before u graduated but thought that was sick. Awesome video
Honestly, I learned the footing for it from watching dunking videos when I was younger. There’s a concept called the “penultimate step” which is the last 2-3 steps of your jump, which ultimately should be the fastest. There’s a lot of really great videos about it, I’m actually working on a more in-depth version of this video where I breakdown what I’ve learned, so I will be sure to make mention of it!
I’m trying to get a better vertical I’m 13 and have been doing plyometrics for 2-3 months 0 results. Not sure what to do. I’m trying to navigate Achilles pain and hip.
That's awesome! I would say just be patient with it. If you're 13 then you still have a ton of growing to do, so I would just be patient and give it time. I touched the rim for the first time when I was 15. If you're having pain stretching is elite, and building up strength through low-pressure exercises in those muscles over time will help!
You’re a one foot jumper that’s why it’s hard asf but if you train yourself to become a two foot jumper first you’ll eventually get it more faster and keep it up nice content.
I’M 6’0-6’1!
Forgot to mention in the video lol
Standing reach?
Somehow I'm 182cm(5'11) with a 6'3.5 wingspan, but my standing reach is just 7'9, been training to dunk, bust still rim grazing, pray for me

The edits were top tier brother 😂 I’m invested in your journey though ‼️ cheers mate
Haha I appreciate it man 😂 thanks for the love!
One thing you should def work on is that hang clean form, as doing it with bad form wont help you get more explosive.

impressive bro, you keep pushing out content at this quality you will succeed
Thanks bro, I appreciate the support ❤
You’re almost there, if you stay consistent with the gym and plyometrics you’ll be dunking in no time.
I remember being 16 no plyos 5ft 10 could dunk then before studying exercise science and having no idea I did plyos wrong and vert decreased
I thought you were a big creator but I was surprised to see that u only had 600 subs!! You 100% deserve 100k subscribers! Here’s a sub❤
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
I love this!!
W entertaining and interesting vid. Subbed!
