The Nighthawk Treasurer is part of their boardroom series. This Treasurer is an officer length 1911, on an aluminum frame. It features their IOS, Interchangeable Optic System. On the gun is a Holosun EPS.

My only 2 1911's are a Wilson SFX9 and a TRP. I had an Springfield micro operator that I foolishly sold .

I agree, different things. I carry the nighthawk counselor with a nine round Wilson mag and I also have the Wilson SFX 93.25 inch. Holds 15+1. The Nighthawk is my choice to pick up first. Very small and extremely accurate. I will shoot all three next to each other as soon as the CS comes out.
I carried a NHC Talon (Serial # 30) for years... full sized 2-tone 45ACP on my right hip. Been thru a few other pistols over the years but now I carry the Staccato C2 DPO in Appendix carry. The NHC Treasurer you have is a fantastic piece!! Congrats! Also, nice Panerai there... ;)

I carry an Ed Brown Evo LW CCO; with a flush mag with room for 8, and a few 9 round backup mags. It’s a 9 mil but I love it. 1911 carry club👍🏿
I like my P365, and what I found with the added capacity over my G43 wasn't the _total_ ammo, it was that i didn't carry a spare magazine. My G43 always got 6+1 plus a spare 6 (or an 8 with the Vickers extension, but the normal is 6 so that's the math), my P365 has 12+1 but my spare 15 just stays in my glove box, I don't wear it. Now, I'll probably carry spares when I get my shoulder holster but they'll really just be for balance if I think I need them. I wouldn't choose a lower capacity gun, but I certainly won't knock your choice of an 8+1, it's your gun, you know your needs more than anyone else.

The new Staccato CS seems like the way to go for carry 1911. Good carry size without compromise of capacity albeit a thicker grip.

Don't fool yourself, it's not remotely as good as the Staccato.
The Buls I've shot are not the pistols either of my Staccatos are.
@@davehart7943 I think I misunderstood what he meant but staccatos are decent really liked mine for the price, I’ve played with some bulls and they seem decent also, Jakes Nighthawk is a different level. Absolutely love my Nighthawks!! Have Sandhawk, TRS Comp and another one time custom built 2011 full size Ranger. With that said, this gun looks almost identical to the Wilson Combat SFX9 3" with the only percivable difference being the grip safety, mini side cut and the IOS sight system. While the IOS system is excellent, I dont see a $3K difference in the two other than a little better slide frame fit......
In winter, I break out the 1911, px4 storm and USP in a shoulder holster. Feels good, mang.

Rarely comment on RUclips videos, trying to decide whether I buy one of two WC pistols or one of these or...I'm on the can't handle/shoot/feel anything any more expensive than a Sig or something merry-go-round. I'm in a small town in OK and if it's not Sig or Colt or Walther or Ruger or (insert everyday brands here) I physically cannot touch one until it belongs to me. So here I am, spending hours on RUclips, relying on others to help me make up my mind and now you've gone and confused me even more. Well done! (I found you on a google search, looking at this one one last time to rule it out- I actually like the grips but didn't know if it's rubberized or steel or aluminum so I gave your video a look.
I'm mostly commenting because you guys completely cracked me up... your comment, "So stiff....(not really a word I want to say to another man)" followed by "girthy"...I was smiling. When you described your point of concern around the grips rubbing..."Can I rub it on my tummy"...and then ended with, "covered in blood, oil, lube, ...you can be as oily as you want" was where I actually started laughing.
I'm at my office, all by myself with sixteen gazillion things I SHOULD be doing and I'm here, laughing like an idiot.
Very well done review. And guess what? Now I'm even more confused because I've got two Wilsons, this and another one...Staccato, that I've now got to add to the list. Crap.
If you had done a terrible job at reviewing this pistol, I would have had one less problem in my life but you didn't. You screwed up and did a fantastic job. And because I was so entertained while hearing every single thing I needed to know, here comes another subscriber- well done!

The timeliness of this video is perfect. I’m a 2011 guy, but I’ve carried a g43x mos due to the profile. Just ordered a Wilson combat sfx9 4” barrel this week because it has the same profile as the g48 and it’s 15+1 🍻

I had a similar Idea , but I prefer .45. Night Hawk used to make a 1911 called a carry plus, it was made in 9mm, just before the Councelor came out .. I had mine made in .45,Lightweight frame , Trijicon HD’s, 3.8” barrel, officer sized frame , high undercut under the trigger for a bit high bore axis, and a Nitrided finish

Leaning towards making the next purchase match the confidence/performance I’ve got with the Staccato P. Not able to jump up to Nighthawk/Atlas/Chambers/etc levels of refinement yet, so it’ll likely be another Staccato just a bit more carry friendly size/weight wise. Past a point there’s no reason to carry what doesn’t offer the opportunity to perform as well as the favorite pistol(s) that sit at home. It’s taken a while for me to give in but I routinely do better with the (P) over my edc pistol (G19).
Hey man if you’re more fast, more accurate, etc than it makes sense right? I do wanna try a smaller 2011 my self and it would be cool if we could run one of them new Staccato CS or one of their C2’s
Shadow Systems will give a guy a replacement pistol if his is used in a Justified shooting.

Wilson sells 10 round magazines with an over insertion pad for the officer style 9mm guns.
Great review. Beautiful weapon. Totally agree that 8 + 1 for a carry gun is more than sufficient. If the SHTF, will be open carrying a double stack with an AR slung around my neck and a plate vest with multiple magazines. So the whole idea that you need 15 plus rounds in an EDC is just not statistically needed.

I actually make an appendix rig with a safety activator!! If the customer wants Lol otherwise it’s annoying as hell!! If you forget to activate the safety the holster will engage it for you 😉 ONLY one on the market. I’ve literally inserted and drawn the pistol 500+ times without it failing. Personally I hate the safety Lol I like that pistol tho!! For that price it better be mesmerizing haha 😂

I love 1911’s but my carry is a CZ PCR, i prefer that or an HK USP Compact.

Of course now Staccato has a 2500 option, pretty compelling if you're a fan of the platform.

If that is your EDC gun, you need to swap out the G-Shock for the Panerai.
Don’t get me wrong, I like G-Shocks, but the Panerai is a perfect fit for that NHC.

most gun fights are decided by the first shot on target , I carried a 6 round revolver on duty in Liberty City , Miami, 18 rounds with two speed loaders , 8+ 1 is enough to get you in a lifetime of legal headaches , awesome gun , if you would have made it in .45.
Folks should look at self defenae lawyer bills before they whine about the cost of a carry gun

@@WDLC1911 You can go cheaper and still manage to have something reliable. There is also Shadow Systems and last I checked they will replace your gun if yours gets confiscated after a self defense scenario.
Enter Delta Defense. Insurance that provides counsel and invaluable advise and protection in the case you must use your firearm in self defense.
Or funeral costs for their families.
Nice EDC! I never understood the notion of going cheap w/something I might have to bet my life on either, but I see plenty of people rolling around in hoodies and Civics w/Glock Perfection bumper stickers, so what do I know.

Anyone who carry’s a firearm worth more than a grand should have an MRI of their brain! Because once it’s used, it will sit and be slammed around an evidence locker for many, many, years to come! I own a Sand Viper, two Atlas’s and three Staccato’s. Guess what I carry? I customized Flock 19 that sits right around $950. Because I’m smart.
It’s awesome but for 6K It should have a light rail on it. Can’t see what your shooting at what’s the point.

going to bet my life on a 1911, it will be a good one.My Night Hawk Shadow Hawk, is my first all steel 1911, high cut trigger guard, Bobbed frame , IOS plate , Trijicon HD’s , and DLC coated. I don’t like Glocks and usually hit what I need to in high stress situations .I had a Colt Officers jam on me when I walked into an armed robbery in progress, which started me on higher end 1911’s.
Have one as well as C-2 the grip safety gave me fits until I adjusted. Honestly prefer wilson edcx9 or experior. No grip Safety) on a full size grip safety’s are fine no issue however I have numerous issues with small frame 1911. Lol Still carry tricked out g43X

Nice gun, nice review. I will depart from your opinion that the 1911 is a 45acp 5" gun. Yes, that is the way it started, but 9mm 1911s have been around for well over a decade and the commander length has proven to be more reliable than the 5" version. That being said, if the officer style 1911 is your choice form a minimalist view point is your choice, then rock on. However, a DS commender is more my favor for a number of reasons. All of that aside, I feel certain that you will really enjoy your new EDC.

My Nighthawk Counselor is a beast. I have lots of rounds through it and can shoot this little gun on the level of a full size high end 1911. No sh*t.

I get pretty angry when someone says why would you risk your Nighthawk getting seized post SD shooting. The answer is simple- my NHCs are the best pistols I have because others may disagree but I think I am worth carrying the best.
People in my opinion are so stupid on that if I have to really use it for real,why in Gods great name would I even think of the gun u just shot a person and have a million things going on so why not carry what u really love and really know is gone go bang

That's a beautiful piece, but is there a reason the baseplates don't match up with the grip? They seem to protrude a bit awkwardly for such a polished pistol.

Great looking gun. This vs the new Staccato CS would be interesting. I carried an Atlas for years and it just got heavy. For me there Nothing like my comped19oz Shadow Systems.

Paid $190 for an like new S&W 40 Shield. I'm better off with the crappy cheap 40 Shield. With the cost differential I can buy an belt or two, several holsters, ammo, mags, maybe a light, and have funds left over for buying some food or diesel for my truck. Priorities I suppose.

Great video as always! For the record...when the wife is asking why I bought another gun or accessories...I blame you two! "I didn't want to babe, but 1911 Syndicate did a review and...well, I felt like I should probably pick one up." 🤷♂ Not really a critique, but just more of an opinion and observation; the comparison of the weight for me isn't really relevant...meaning, saying ~10oz overall weight difference between the Nighthawk and Glock isn't significant, but an ~7oz weight savings by going with the aluminum frame is a significant weight savings. I can appreciate the details and facts, but you shouldn't have to justify why you chose to carry a heavier (super pimp) firearm. I carry everything from a Sig P365, P365XL Spectre Comp, P365x-Mod, Staccato C2, Springfield Prodigy (post Springfield re-tuning since they're kind of a**holes and used the public as their test bed), Springfield EMP4 CC, Springfield RO Comp....and when I'm really feeling like being vanilla and inclusive...the tried and true workhorse, G19 😂🤣. If you can carry it safely and shoot it effectively....carry what what you like bro. I have mad respect for running the Holosun on the Nighthawk! I had a few buddies trying to sh*t on me for a Holosun on a Zev....I reminded them that a.) I run Trijicons as well, but more importantly b.) Training is key and due to their lack of commitment to training; they still suck with their Trijicon RMRcc and I do perfectly fine with my Holosuns. Can't wait for a follow-up video after a few thousand rounds through that beauty! I was on the fence when I got my C2...I was "cleared hot" from the wife for a Nighthawk or Wilson Combat, but it was an 18 month for either and Staccato had a 3-4 month wait. My patience has a shelf life so Staccato won. Again, another great video guys!!
