This was simply the best video review of the LTT PX4 I’ve ever seen. Period. I’ve watch numerous individual videos that combined didn’t accomplish what you have here. Thanks you. I’m convinced.
I called ltt a couple years ago to order a px4 and ended up ordering a 92 elite. Last year I called again but ended up with an optic ready p30lem. After this video, I will be picking up a px4. Everything this guy touches turns to gold.
I think that’s kinda common for most of us. I know I never thought I’d carry one till this Langdon PX4. We had a blast with the video thank you for watching
I have heard that the regular px4 9mm compact and the Langdon tactical version of the px4 compact (9mm) have always had that thicker .40 barrel that was drilled for 9mm, but the thicker barrel was just recently released for full-size px4 (9mm) as the px4 g-sd model. Apparently the compact 9mm px4 always came with that thicker barrel. However this information is not stated anywhere by beretta or Langdon, so it has caused confusion for some. The beretta designers realized the thicker barrel made the compact version more comfortable to shoot, with that extra thickness along with the rotating design being two factors that help soften the shots. Not to mention langdon’s upgrades such as the trigger work and slide milling also enhance the px4 experience. I recently bought a normal px4 compact and fell in love from the first magazine. $600 bought happiness in this case. I’d recommend this firearm to anyone. And great video fellahs, that was informative.
That would explain why the compact had better or equal recoil impulse compared to the full size, and possibly why I’ve seen arguments about barrel to slide diameters being different between 40 and 9mm… maybe they’re both right.
Yeah I think both are correct. The barrel different is why the compact shot softer. Beretta does not explicitly state anywhere that the px4 compact has a thicker barrel (.40) compared to the px4 full-size (regular 9mm barrel), but it does and always been designed with the thicker barrel.
I first watched James Reeves' video on the PX4 with Langdon and had to find one. I found a used LTT PX4 CC almost kitted to the max with a RMR for $850. Probably would be close to $2000 if I bought it new. It's really is something. It's my new carry gun. Only thing I did was add the slide release on the opposite side since I'm also a lefty.
Depends. I believe most Compacts have the plug on the right side of the gun. You can remove the plug. You just need to buy the matching set of ambi slide stops though. My CC came with the stealth set, and that is not ambi. The standard slide stop is.@@toddcutter8277

Beretta guy here. I love me PX4 compact. .... Some people will say "THAT THING IS UGLY" but give it a try and it will make you change your mind. A friend change his right after shooting mine and now he got one too.
My EDC for the last 8 yrs has been an ltt px4cc I haven't found anything that carries and shoots better. Putting the VPA comp and grey guns trigger in it made it that just more amazing. The only cavot is that with the comp only version without a wml I had to modify my holster for it to accept it, they are working on a holster that will be speced for the comp only version I'll be picking up a gs-d soon.
I’ve owned a full-size for about 12 years now and I love it. When I first got it, my friends shit on me until they saw me hitting the target consistently at 50 yards. The gun is amazing, but I highly recommend upgrading the trigger. I’ve also noticed that if a magazine stays loaded for several months without being cycled through, if you mag dump them sometimes it double feeds on one of the last few rounds. That’s the only problem I’ve ever had, and it was with the magazine.
Please tell Langdon that a steel frame P×4 full size would really be attractive to the cz and 1911 community I can promise I would buy one personally and I guarantee there are more people that would die for a steel frame px4 !!!
Great video and very enlightening. I had Langdon do their magic on my HKP30L chambered in .40S&W. And loved it. I now have to look at t the PX4 in a different light. But that’s what you guys do so well. You bring new perspectives to light and appreciate your work.
I have had the compact for several years and I love it. It is my favorite gun hands down. I did the poor man's Langdon tactical upgrades as soon as I bought it. I would love to get the next gen but will have to wait a little while. Beretta makes a great firearm, but the PX4 Storm is on another level.
You guys did a great job on this. As a very happy owner of many of LTT's tuned-up firearms, I was so glad you had him on and asked him solid questions. I have a PX4 Compact from LTT and have been thinking of picking up a full-size, but I have a ton of full-size 9mms so have been holding off. Glad I did as the new model and added mod options look great. Agree completely about the recoil impulse of the pistol. I might have added 30 secs of narration and some B roll on the rotating barrel system. It's from where many of the positive attributes of the pistol stem from as you highlighted so well in the video.
Outstanding guys. Langdon deserves tremendous credit for revitalizing various platforms. I’ve got several of their products, including the previous PX4 and P30 and have nothing but great things to say about them. Will eventually snag the newer PX4 from them too. Criminally underrated guns.
I just ordered mine a week or so ago. I went for the Compact Carry with RDO and regular curved trigger but the whole trigger job etc. Didn't go for the Comp/light version. Really excited and can't wait to get mine in another month or so! Great video, guys. Really appreciate such an in depth conversation and shooting and comparisons!
I’ll be honest the Px4 was already on my wishlist but I was looking at the .45 model, but after watching and hearing Mr. Langdon talk about the Px4 storm he’s completely converted me over to the 9mm model, after seeing what all he can do with it I want it even more now
Mine is a base model 9mm compact. I put in a "D" spring and converted it to a G decocker, and filed down the right side decocker. It runs like a sewing machine. There is something to how this pistol shoots. They are speaking truth.
It might be time for LTT to get a shot with his pistols in some high profile action movies. His major upgrades not only are actual combat usage but also look really good on camera. Can you imagine the Sommolier giving a John Wick type person getting handed a LTT 92 NP3 coated AND a PX4 Compact SD? Sales would go through the roof. Beretta makes some of the most beautiful guns on the market plus the upgrades?
As a lefty myself - your slide lock woes will be solved if you make a habit of racking the slide to send it home as opposed to using the button - it is a more reliable and universal practice to load the first round
LTT's work is amazing from my brief experience...just the trigger in a bag is simply...wow. I can't wait to get my hands on a compact, but I just can't justify $2k on a carry gun... I really wish Beretta would put the R&D into the PX4 line that they keep doing to the 92 line. A PX4 Storm v. 2.0 would be amazing imo. Thanks LTT for what you are doing to seriously raise the bar for an already solid tool. That full size fully tricked out is simply amazing...some day...it'll come home.
Heard about Langdon Tactical from you guys and made a p30L purchase following your review. Y’all have excellent reviews and outstanding content. Thank you for spending my money for me 🙌
Dude. This is the nicest thing anyone could say. Thank you for the kind words and trusting us with your hard earned dollar. We strive to be as open and honest as possible. People spend hard earned money on this stuff and Jake and I take that serious. Love me p30 LEM from Langdon and I’m really enjoying this beretta as well.
I’ve got 3 of them. Full, compact and sub in 40. The full was my first pistol ever back in 2006 and has been one of my most favorite guns. So easy to shoot and extremely reliable. The one thing it has against it is it’s looks. A foolish reason to dislike a phenomenal gun.👍
@@Getyourdoe you sir, are one of the few people I’ve ever had that comment from. I chose the px4 originally because of the modularity of the platform. I needed the small back strap for my hand size. I switched the mag release to a lefty shooter as I drop mags with my shooting right hand middle finger. I didn’t see many other guns like that back in 2006. The double/ single action with decocker was a big “safety” thing to me as a new ccw carrier back then as well. Now a days i’m carrying a Sig Macro in a very similar configuration. Modularity in the name of function is my main concern. 👍
My wife has a PX4 compact and she loved it just the way it came out of the box; well almost, she did get the 4 round mag extensions for it. Then I saw Langdon was doing their magic to it so I sent her a link and now we have a trigger in a bag on its way and are trying to sort out which muzzle comp to get, does she wanna keep it playing or does she want to get something that can mount a flashlight? Also thinking about changing out the trigger and maybe a recoil spring. Thanks Langdon for finding new ways to spend money on what we thought was the perfect handgun. Worth mentioning, my wife only shoots 124g NATO, 124g Undrwood P+, and Liberty 90g P+ “Civil Defence”. I’m going to be interested in seeing how different it shoots with the comp, spring, and new trigger group.
I’ve had the px4 compact carry for about 5 years and love it. I carried it every day for 3 years and only stopped because I got on a 2011 kick but I still have it and carry it occasionally (mainly as my Fanny pack gun) and it is always in my bedside safe. I remember the first time I saw a px4 in the early 2000’s and I thought it was a cool futuristic looking gun, I don’t know why it took my so long to get one but I’m glad I have mine and I’ll never let it go. My two brothers thought I was crazy when I told them I got it and after shooting it they both promptly went out and got their own compact carry’s. 😁
I’ve had the Ltt compact for about 2 years and it shoots so well for the size. I never wanted it because it was ugly but I got an LTT 92 and was impressed so I decided to give the PX4 a try. The new GSD with the comp actually looks great with the flat trigger imo. I really want that one and will be my next purchase for sure.
The 2005 full size model was my year of the PX4. I think it is great looking and I know it is a superiorr shooter. In all these years I have shot almost as many rounds through as you did with your test full size in one year. With everything you have done to it, I think it's time to to replace my 2005 with a 2024. Thank you.
I'm a die-hard px4 guy. First time I shot one and I was "what voodoo is this!!??". I'm one who has always liked the look of the px4, especially the Compact Carry, but the new comp/light makes it ooh so sexy!
I have the Compact Carry firts version that was made by Mr. Ernest Langfon, soft and smooth as the first day! Great gun and this last version is look solid.
there are two kinds of people. Those who think it's a stupid gun because they've never shot one, and the people that have shot one and understand it's the most under appreciated guns ever made.
I have a beretta p8000 cougar, and I swear its the best gun I've ever shot everyone who asks about it and shotts it says the same its an amazing shooting pistol. although the predecessor of the px4 I believe Beretta knew what they onto when they introduced that rotating barrel.
Thank you for this video! The live fire answered my biggest questions about the new GSD model. Seeing both your reactions sold me! I have yet to be disappointed by any purchase from LTT.
Never shot the PX4 but did own a Beretta Cougar way back and it was a smooth shooter. Sadly, I was young and couldn't afford a new gun unless I sold one. I still regret that. If the new PX4s (LTT notwithstanding) shoot anything like the old Cougars, I may have to look into adding one to the arsenal.
I got mine in 2015, in .45 because i saw it on a splinter cell game. Any way took it to qualify with, and it was a laser blaster. Great pistol, still love it.
That’s so weird bc I’ve looked for years to get a px4 subcompact or even a compact and have only ever seen 1 full bc they were always sold out here in Indiana. I finally found a compact in stock at bass Pro today so I ordered it and lucky me it’s an updated version. It doesn’t come with that flair plate thing at the mag well but I imagine that I can buy that somewhere.
Its not the prettiest gun, but the PX4 Storm is a fantastic carry gun. I have one thats not all "Langdon'd out" and carry in the winter. Ernest just "grew up" on the Beretta platform while in the military and recognizes its merits. Anyway, INCREDIBLE video. Been watching you guys since 37K subscribers
Right on time! I bought a used PX4 last saturday and got to shoot it today and first impressions: "do I even need to keep my 43x?" Cant even imagine what a Langdon version runs like if I goty hands on one!
I bought the LTT PX4 Compact Carry with all of the extras back in January with the VP Armory Comp+TLR-7Sub Combo and Holosun 507 Comp. I’m super excited for this gun which I overlooked for 20 years because it was so ugly and uncommon.
Px4 by far the most underrated pistol of all time. Eats all ammo never had a jam ( I clean it after every range trip). It shoots so well anybody that shoots one is surprised
I've always prefered the DA/SA pistols. Beretta 92 being my favorite by far. I've tried Glock and 1911's. Fine pistols for sure but I like the fact that DA/SA is pull and fire and after that first shot I'm in a gunfight and I have a SA trigger helping me out. I have the G conversion on my M9A1 so no safety to deal with. But for those who like to carry with a safety theu have that option as well. Being able to thumb the hammer back isnt normally considered important but I do like having the option. For anyone who is having trouble with the two different trigger pulls I have a remedy for you. Take 100rds. Fire one shot DA and one shot SA. Then decock. First 50rds. For the second 50rds fire one DA and then 2 SA. You may need less or more ammo to get the hang of it but the problem does go away pretty quickly. This also gets you into the habit of decocking the pistol. A lot of people shoot these guns until slide lock empty. The problems is if they ever use it for real and it took less than a fully loaded pistol to solve the problem they wont be used to using the decock function. Most the time on the range if they dont shoot it empty but stop for whatever reason they simply unload the weapon. It's one of those things that poses a safety hazard that isnt often brought up. Probably due to DA/SA being somewhat absent from the combat pistol market in recent years. One more more thing on this type of gun. When you shoot them regularly and then shoot a revolver you will most definitely notice increased skill with the wheelgun. Hope this helps someone out who is interested in this type of pistol. Thanks for this video guys and for having Ernest Langdon on. He makes some really badass pistols.
The Px4 was also in Live Free or Die Hard, Columbiana, and some video games like Resident Evil 5 and Watch Dogs. It's an incredibly underrated gun that I'd argue is better than the 92, and I'm so glad LTT is doing their part to make more people appreciate it.
Thanks for the video guys. I think my favorite Beretta's are 92FS or G because of the decocker better, the 71 is fun & the one I want the most 93R. I will get it one day.

What's the name of the company that makes the flat trigger?
@@Getyourdoe Gray Guns, just waiting for it to be available at LTT to get one. It's listed but not available yet.

The PX4 storm was actually my first firearm. She still runs solid, stripped, lubed up weekly.
People are sleeping on the px4. It's an incredible gun, fun to shoot and SO comfortable in the hand.
Love my PX4... had it for the past 8 years.
Please tell Langdon that a steel frame P×4 full size would really be attractive to the cz and 1911 community I can promise I would buy one personally and I guarantee there are more people that would die for a steel frame px4 !!!
I daydream about this... As long as it's not aluminium
@@E.Chang. I know aluminum is what you make coke cans out of,
Steel on the other hand is for guns period end of story
You mean Tell beretta that??
It's called the cougar and it's discontinued.

Opie Cunningham and Samsquantch!
My fave guntubers........ i have actually been thinkin of this heater!
and Langdon makes great edc heaters!
Great video and very enlightening. I had Langdon do their magic on my HKP30L chambered in .40S&W. And loved it. I now have to look at t the PX4 in a different light. But that’s what you guys do so well. You bring new perspectives to light and appreciate your work.
As that great American philosopher Tiger King once said, "I'll never financially recover from this!" I hate you guys ! Keep up the great work!
My dad's owned a px4 40 cal for as long as I can remember and I always loved the trigger pull on it. May have to check this out.
Sold. Got a PX4 inox back in 2016. I'll be sending it your way Langdon.
You’re lucky you have the Inox version. Those are really hard to find.
I have a compact/EDC in .40, there will always be room in my collection for one of these.
I’m on board for that
Picking mine up next week. Looking forward it! Amazing work Ernest!
I think it looks phenomenal, if I were buying a gun based off looks this would be it.
Ernest is the OG of DA/SA guns. Definitely going to look at the PX4 Storm Compact this year.
Awesome video and review. I have a Beretta PX 4 in ,.40 cal.. It is excellent, accurate, and never jams. Peace
I’ve had the Ltt compact for about 2 years and it shoots so well for the size. I never wanted it because it was ugly but I got an LTT 92 and was impressed so
I decided to give the PX4 a try. The new GSD with the comp actually looks great with the flat trigger imo. I really want that one and will be my next purchase for sure.
I have a LTT PX4 compact and love it
The 2005 full size model was my year of the PX4.
I loved my px4 storm in 45 acp was a beast of a gun
I've had one for like 8 years. It's a slept on pistol, even stock its a good gun.
I liked your thoughts on DA/SA. I think the PX4 looks great! Great video, very informative, thanks!
Of course!
🤙🏻
I'm pretty sure that title is held by the H&K P2000.
Perhaps the best 1911 vid I've seen.
Very kind of you sir thank you
I have a beretta p8000 cougar, and I swear its the best gun I've ever shot everyone who asks about it and shotts it says the same its an amazing shooting pistol. although the predecessor of the px4 I believe Beretta knew what they onto when they introduced that rotating barrel.
I know the look on Chris’s face after he shot it, it’s “fuck, now I gotta get one of these!”
😂😂😂 exactly right dude
I own one. First pistol I ever bought never had a single failure and it's awesome. That was 20 years ago
I have a langdon px4 compact and his P30sk with red dot , trigger etc.... both great guns!
Nice. I’ve been running the Langdon p30 since we did our video on it. Now this PX4 is getting added to the list.
I got mine in 2015, in .45 because i saw it on a splinter cell game. Any way took it to qualify with, and it was a laser blaster. Great pistol, still love it.
Love it when established guntubers finally discover PX4 magic.
I’m not sure we qualify as established haha
Dude. What a great gun and we had a blast with Ernest. More guys need to check these PX4’s out.
@@1911syndicate False modesty is why one of you always ends up in hell ;)
That’s so weird bc I’ve looked for years to get a px4 subcompact or even a compact and have only ever seen 1 full bc they were always sold out here in Indiana.
I finally found a compact in stock at bass Pro today so I ordered it and lucky me it’s an updated version.
It doesn’t come with that flair plate thing at the mag well but I imagine that I can buy that somewhere.
I'm 20k rounds deep into the LTT Px4 platform. I've bought several pistols to compete with it over the last 2.5 years and it always wins out.
Awesome!
The beretta 92 llt is also amazing. Best double action on the market. Cz2 compact close 2nd
Right on time! I bought a used PX4 last saturday and got to shoot it today and first impressions: "do I even need to keep my 43x?"
Cant even imagine what a Langdon version runs like if I goty hands on one!
Oh especially compared to a 43x
PX4 was used in A - Team too... which I appreciated for sure
No doubt you guys told me to wait a few days! I’m watching this for sure. I’m still pretty set on the px4. Gonna be my first carry gun!
Haha there ya go
Currently saving up for a LTT 92xi!
First time I heard of the PX4 was in Resident Evil 5's mercenary mode as Jill Valentine's main pistol. Loved it ever since
You can really see the comp working at 29:32 if you put it at 0.25 speed, a big puff of gas goes straight up from the comp.
It's Sunday when I watched this. I feel like I went to church. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this answered some more of the details that beretta hasn’t said much about yet 🤙🤙
Cheers mate
Very cyber punk looking with the LT compensator. Good vibes
100% very cyberpunk vibes good call
always loved the storm, thought it looked good too
That mic is epic. I knew this dude had a chest cold or something going on before he started dry hacking. Man that dry phlem rasp made me flinch.
Looking forward to Langdon having more parts available. Although I understand why they are sold out.
I have a cx4 storm and i love it great weapon and have a few px4 storm mags i dont use chang mine to take 92 mags
The Px4 was also in Live Free or Die Hard, Columbiana, and some video games like Resident Evil 5 and Watch Dogs. It's an incredibly underrated gun that I'd argue is better than the 92, and I'm so glad LTT is doing their part to make more people appreciate it.
Gonna have to go watch Live Free or Die Hard again. Thanks for watching and commenting dude 👊🏼
Ernest is a legend. Great video
I own a gen 1 px4 in .40s&w and it is awesome.....it has never malfunctioned
Now I need a video on the CX4 Storm 💪🏽🔥
First pistol I ever owned. I miss it every day. Planning on getting a LTT soon.
Thanks for the video guys. I think my favorite Beretta's are 92FS or G because of the decocker better, the 71 is fun & the one I want the most 93R. I will get it one day.
