The Beretta 92 was my first gun in my collection that I bought simply for the nostalgia of it. For me it’s Martin Riggs’ gun. The one I found was a G model that has LAPD cage markings on the mags and had still working night sights for being a 2008 produced gun. The only thing I added to it were slim G10 grips, put in a Wilson Combat shortened trigger kit and removed the lanyard loop.
I was an LAPD officer for 32 years and retired now. When I was hired I was issued a S&W Model 67 4" 38 cal s/s revolver. Four years into my career the dept approved the 92fs for on or off duty use, and began to issue them to their recruits. If you had a revolver but wanted start carrying a 92fs, you had to buy your own and the dept would send you to the academy for training so you can transition over to the semi 92fs. And thats what I did,. I bought my own at the 92fs at store that is at the academy. Mine was an Italian made. I carried that 92 fs for on duty for 28 years. I, and every cop that I knew, loved their 92fs. I still have that 92fs to this day.
Glock is that girl who may not be prettiest but when you get her home she gets it done! In the morning you can take her out to breakfast and not be embarrassed to be seen with her!
Been collecting firearms for over 45yrs and only own 2 off your list. Several 1911s and several Colt revolvers. I might buy a Beretta 92 someday to round out my US military pistol lineage collection.
I own or have owned just about every pistol mentioned on the list. But, I think the Browning Hi-Power should be considered, I own an FEG Mod.GKk-45C which is a clone of the Hi-Power chambered in 45 ACP. I am not a fanboy of Glocks, had a 36 and traded it for a Ruger New Vaquero 45 long Colt. As far as Beretta, I have to go with the M9 it’s the military version of 92FS and it’s made in the US. And yes everyone should have a 1911. One of my 1911’s is a Kimber tactical pro ll my EDC. Great show , 1911 syndicate one of my favorite RUclips channels.
Not exactly. The VP9 (or SFP9 in Germany) was build with the "Technische Richtlinie Polizeipistole 9x19mm" in Mind. In Germany its one of the most used Police Pistols. Only the SFP9 OR Match couldn't be used as a Service Pistol because of the Trigger which is to light for the TR Polizeipistole 😊
@@d4dstt808couldn't be used for most of Germany as a police pistol. The trigger isn't heavy enough. It is part of the problem glock had to overcome with the latest adoption. They had to make a specific pistol because there is a formula that keeps the inertia of the pistol causing the trigger being pulled. It's designed to keep the weight of a dropped pistol from causing a discharge if it caught on something as it falls. The vp9 when it came out was covered by guns and Ammo when I wrote copy for them. I sat in on the interview with the marketing VP from HK (I know him still today and I am a former demo team member for HK) He said that from day 1 the VP was made to fill the demand of the American civillian market. They saw the YT videos comparing it to glock and people saying they preferred the striker. The original design for the p30 was a striker but they switched it to a hammer to fit several contracts including the German police contract for several states. The VP was made for the US civilian market mainly to pay for slumping sales in the P30 and the development of the SK version of the USP/2000. The hk of the 90s for the most part is dead. With German laws and the the lack of new designs, hk Germany Is dead for the most part. HK usa is alive and doing well. They are hiring new designers in the US for an American designed and built pistol and shotgun. Keep your eyes open for them.
😂😂😂😂😂 I swear you took the thoughts right out of my head from my first! I am a very seasoned shooter…. Or so I thought. I own 80 weapons… i own most of the major players.I am a state certified trainer. Having never handled the platform, picking one up for the first time was almost magical… shooting them, especially one of high quality is poetic. While I’ll alway appreciate all the others for what 2 bring to the table, I am forever hooked!!
When I taught my son to shoot pistol, we had my full collection to try… Beretta 92, SIG P320, SW M&P 2.0, Glock 19, Kahr P9, and Kimber Custom Target. He loved that Kimber 1911 most. My heart was full hearing him say that. It remains my favorite as well.
Eh... Ive owned 3 USPs, you can keep them. Ill substitute a Browning Buckmark for the HK slot. Also not a huge fan of the 19. I have 4 currently, but I've always preferred the fullsize, or the subcompact size. Im pretty ok with everything else...
Can’t agree more about the 1911 I just picked up an older stainless Springfield armory 1911 .45 long slide and I’m counting down the time until my range opens today
I was folding clothes while I was watching this video. When the 1911 part came up, I had to into my bedroom and grab my 1911 out of my nightstand and bring it into the living room with me. The video made me wanna hold it.
Regarding pistols, this is a great list. My practical list consist of a Glock 17 a Mossberg 590 A1 pump shotgun in an AR 15 and 556. Anything else is gravy however if I were to get a 1911, I was thinking either Kimber or Springfield, can I go wrong with either of those?
I've relatively recently decided to start carrying. Got a 9mm Hellcat Pro for my primary carry. Canik TP9 SFX for target shooting (and BBQ gatherings). S&W M&P Shield EZ w ported barrel for my wife (purse carry). The other day I was shooting and thought, "I need a friggin 45ACP 1911", I think because the guy next to me was shooting one. Went to the gunshop and fondled a dozen or so, from crazy expensive Kimbers to budget Tisas. None of them felt right for me... until I picked up the Springfiled 1911 Loaded in Stainless. The 'shit yeah!' sign flashed in my head. I drooled some, and maybe even soiled the front of my jeans. The trigger pull and release were amazing, and the weight and feel were great, especially at its price point! Being stainless, it's a bit on the heavy side, but I love the feel and weight!! I doubt that it'll ever be my primary CCW, but it'll definitely ride in the console of my truck everywhere I go, and may beat out the Canik as my primary BBQ Gathering sidearm.
You should review a stealth arms 1911 now that they make single stack 1911s, there is almost 0 reviews about them especially from the bigger Gun channels
Great video and absolutely gorgeous firearms. My top 5 handguns that I own and that I believe every firearm lover should own are: 1- Glock 17 2- Beretta M9A3/4 G model 3-SIG Sauer P226 SAO Legion 4- Smith and Wesson 686 plus(4 inch recommend) 5- Colt Anaconda 44 magnum(6 inch recommend). You can't go wrong with these reliable, accurate andtough as nails handguns.
@@1911syndicate You 1000% right about the 1911, that's a patriotic gun that every single gun owner/lover/enthusiast should have. God willing that's gonna be my birthday present to myself 🙏
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate: The Bersa Thunder 40 returns to torment Jake, Crispy dabbles in Japanese Adult filming style, and 164K subscribers will have completely different gun list, because the only thing gun owners agree with is that everyone else is wrong and stupid.
My list - not in order: Sig P226 in .357 Sig, 92FS in 9mm, Ruger Gp100 in .357 mag and (surprise) Walter PP S M2 in 9mm. In the hunt for a 10mm 1911 to complete the collection. Great review!
Because I want one and I'm an American. That's all you need to say. I was first issued a Colt 1911A1 in the US Coast Guard in 1980. I haven't been without one since then! Love favorite 5 videos! Cheers.
12:19 I’d recommend by the Taurus model has a interchangeable cylinder. One cylinder is for 9mm and the second cylinder is for .38 special/.357mag . All for $500 bucks it’s not a bad deal and it’s ported , you can mod it out with finishes later
I don't get how the USP of all guns would be a 'must own'. I can see an argument for the SIG 226 (though if you have a Beretta 92 on the list, I think it's not required) but the CZ 75 would be above both.
I was in the military and I carried both the 1911 and the M9 (92fs) and I own both. I was surprised that I had every gun on your list and for the very reason you stated. I have a glock 19 that I never shoot. I took it in trade from a buddy and I refuse to get rid of it. I don't even like it but I respect that it will shoot any time you pick it up and pretty dang accurate. I'm just old school and 1911 or browning high-power are more my liking. I'm a big fan of the old school sigs 220 - 232 yes I have em all. Thanks for the video. Glad to onow I'm not crazy or at least there are others that are on the insane plane with me
I have shot and trained with enough glocks to know they bore me and I don't see the need to own one. H&K are like having Vegan options on a menu, I'm sure someone cares and I'm happy for them, I just don't care. The two pistols my Dad carried when I was a kid was either a Dan Wesson in .357 or an old Army 1911 made in the 1940s. The first pistol my Dad gave me to practice with and shoot local matches was a Taurus 92. So I have a soft spot for the 92s, either the Italian or the Brazilian.
I would replace the Glock with the spring field echelon, for $50-$100$ more you can get better sights, better grip, better texturing, better Magwell, gas pedal, take down level, ambidextrous, better slide release, trigger cuts for deeper grip, and if your lucky you can get a threaded barrel option. And if you wanna make a stock Glock to be the same as a stock echelon you have to throw hundreds of dollars at it, vs spending 50-100 bucks more and getting the echelon which comes with everything a modern day factory pistol should be.
@@handroids1981 ACW/Cabot are Overhyped and Overrated. I had a ACW "Prime Elite" and it was nothing special at all. My Les Baer Premier II is superior and it was $1,400 lees than the ACW.

In 1989 i purchased my Glock 22 Gen.#1 was a Must! Loved it from the start! My USPSD9mm I traded a full custom AR-15 for 2009,I love the safety/decocker and run it like a 1911 cocked and Locked! My Colt Python 6"was my First Gun Period 1980!The Berette 92FS was a gift from my Dad! and my Colt Gold Cup came in 1993! Still have Em Too! Only 1 missing, the Browning Hi-Power is in there somewhere! The 1911 IS the Premier Handgun of the last 113years
Thankfully, I don't care if others think of me as a gun guy or not based on what I own... I've got more trigger time than majority of those that would judge, and can probably outshoot them anyway. I'm more concerned with training than what gucci piece I'm carrying anyway.
Of all the 2011 pistols on the market, what would you recommend as a do-it-all top-pick pistol? Cosaint arms, Staccato, Bull Armory, Prodigy, Atlas arms, Nighthawk Custom, Live Free Armory, etc., what would be your choice of pistol that would primarily be a carry gun, a defensive firearm but also one that would fit in the world of competition. I’m looking for something that I can carry on my farm, on my tractor, around town, and use for the elimination of coyotes and competition shooting. Variables to be weighted are cost, “1 shot 1 hit accuracy,”; “life depends on it,” reliability, and durability. If you had to pick one that would always function, function round after round, accurate, fast follow-up shots, minimal recoil go to gun. What are you picking and why?
I have 2 1911s, my 70 ser. that I had in the military when we switched over to the 92 (a sad day indeed) and an Alpha Foxtrot (Duluth, GA. ) in 10mm which is like butter to run, not cheap by any means but worth it, all the same and I have Glocks (G3 17 and a couple 21s plus a Mech Tech, M4 carbine conversion), a Keltec .380 pocket pistol I absolutely love which can be carried anywhere, anytime in 30 different ways and something I think absolutely should have been on the list as it's the quintessential, LE/military go to of the planet, we'll built, smooth running, accurate and easy to shoot, you guessed it... The Browning Hi Power (the "improved 1911"), so named as it was the first pistol to hold 13+1 rds. I have two "T" series, one in a beautiful blue and one Parkerized with G10 grips that's an absolute work mule. You can do so much with them to turn them into truly amazingly smooth shooting, reliable pistols and yet, they're terrific right out of the box. You like the HKs (I do, too) but I went the other route with the FN. The FN pistol and an FAL are the two weapons I would go to war and live or die on (ok, and my A.F. 1911 10mm 😆). Heavy, a *man's* rifle to be sure, the FAL won't quit on you no matter what you put it through. Sorry, waxing nostalgic for the old days, a bit. I do agree that if you're going revolver, a .357 Python is a must. 😊
I only agree with some of your picks. I own a 3" Colt Python, a 4" Colt Python, a 6" Colt Python, all from the 60's except for the 3" which I had from '82 and converted from a 4" to a 3" so it is period correct and is identical to Wiley Clap's. I also have a Beretta 92FS, 92. 92FS Compact and an 85FS .380 ACP. My 1911's are from the 40's. I have 3 Colt LW Commanders in 38 super, 9mm, and .45 ACP. My other two picks are a CZ75 Compact 9mm, which is my EDC, and a Smith & Wesson 442 Airweight .38 special. I have many others that I like, Sig 226 in .357 Sig and 9mm. Sig 229, etc.
I’m newly baptized into 1911. I have 3 since a year ago. Glock, sold, hellcat sold. I don’t like revolvers at all. I am adding a basic SD 9 2.0 to the mix as a basic polymer that shoots just fine. Great list. Love the Wilson Combat finish
The usp needs an update. I love my p30 except the decocker being a separate button on the back of the frame, I wish it was like the usp, the usp needs to be updated with a pic rail and an optic mount.
A Jennings j22. Mine Works Period! PPK 32 My Father brought home after WWII and is Amazing. But I love my p80 SS pfs9 madly. Shield arms mags and just works like a simple point of my finger. As a carry should.
The Glock my feelings as I have avoided them since their inception... Yes the VW will get me there and will start and run and everyone out of the box has shot dead-on. But, watching the impact on revolver carrying officers prematurely tapping a few bad-guys. I went with the S&W 645. When our Agency decided to finally go with an issued semi, it was the HK USP in .45 cal with lights, still have it (retirement benny) and still my fav. Striker took decades with a S&W Shield, as I avoided 9mm until then so I still need the 92F... The revolvers, S&W and Dan Wesson with a Ruger Black Powder US Army. Great clip and I agree with your logic.
I'll stick to my S&W M&Ps and Shield Plus Custom Shop! In revolvers, it's S&W 629s and 625-8 Jerry Miculek Edition. I do, however, have one Colt. It is a 1911 Gold Cup MK IV National Match 70 series!

This sounds very specific to you lol

Ah, the pistol that bloodies my trigger finger everytime. No thanks
I almost cried at the end there….but then I remembered I’m a man.
That said I appreciate the car comparisons. 1911 is next on the list of purchases.
Been collecting firearms for over 45yrs and only own 2 off your list. Several 1911s and several Colt revolvers. I might buy a Beretta 92 someday to round out my US military pistol lineage collection.
Great guns but the ending was the most beautiful moment in any RUclips video I've ever watched. WELL DONE.
The final minutes especially the 1911 monologue, IS the reason I'm glad to be a subscriber.
Try the sa 35 from springfield.I had reservations but bought one anyway. Sweeeeeeeet!
Surprised sig p226 didn't make the list.

Been wanting to get another one 😅

Exactly.
I EDC an M13 in a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster.
I’ve got a M8 with 3 barrels, one of them threaded. 2 days ago I had 5 suppressors get approved at once & one of them is the B&T P7 model.👍

Great list, I've only been in the community 3yrs, but I called every one, except for the USP (which has a phenomenal trigger)
With the LEM trigger the UsP trigger is great

VP9 was made for the civilian market.
That's why it's the VP9- Volks Pistale 9mm
People's pistol, 9mm
Is that why it’s HKs only pistol that had some teething issues after release?
Yes sir,
Hi Power, 50 years and she's still twerking, beautiful machine. ❤
The watch analogy is spot on. Great quote: "A well made 1911 is mechanical art in the form of a handgun."
I lol'd right at the beginning with the pixel-blur 😂 good stuff

12:19 I’d recommend by the Taurus model has a interchangeable cylinder. One cylinder is for 9mm and the second cylinder is for .38 special/.357mag . All for $500 bucks it’s not a bad deal and it’s ported , you can mod it out with finishes later
Taurus is making much better guns these days, and while it doesn't really compare to the 686, which it is a clone of, it's awesome.
I don't get how the USP of all guns would be a 'must own'. I can see an argument for the SIG 226 (though if you have a Beretta 92 on the list, I think it's not required) but the CZ 75 would be above both.
I was thinking the same thing
Sig p226 should be on the list over the revolver. Cz 75 over the usp
I agree with you!
Isn't the Taurus copy a 99? I like it because it can go cocked & locked.
Already own two of the five. I have a S&W 686 and a Glock 19....been thinking about a 1911A1...not sure which one yet
USP was also my first gun. I'm now a massive HK fan and collector.
