The Beretta 92 was my first gun in my collection that I bought simply for the nostalgia of it. For me it’s Martin Riggs’ gun. The one I found was a G model that has LAPD cage markings on the mags and had still working night sights for being a 2008 produced gun. The only thing I added to it were slim G10 grips, put in a Wilson Combat shortened trigger kit and removed the lanyard loop.
I was an LAPD officer for 32 years and retired now. When I was hired I was issued a S&W Model 67 4" 38 cal s/s revolver. Four years into my career the dept approved the 92fs for on or off duty use, and began to issue them to their recruits. If you had a revolver but wanted start carrying a 92fs, you had to buy your own and the dept would send you to the academy for training so you can transition over to the semi 92fs. And thats what I did,. I bought my own at the 92fs at store that is at the academy. Mine was an Italian made. I carried that 92 fs for on duty for 28 years. I, and every cop that I knew, loved their 92fs. I still have that 92fs to this day.

Not exactly. The VP9 (or SFP9 in Germany) was build with the "Technische Richtlinie Polizeipistole 9x19mm" in Mind. In Germany its one of the most used Police Pistols. Only the SFP9 OR Match couldn't be used as a Service Pistol because of the Trigger which is to light for the TR Polizeipistole 😊
@@d4dstt808couldn't be used for most of Germany as a police pistol. The trigger isn't heavy enough. It is part of the problem glock had to overcome with the latest adoption. They had to make a specific pistol because there is a formula that keeps the inertia of the pistol causing the trigger being pulled. It's designed to keep the weight of a dropped pistol from causing a discharge if it caught on something as it falls. The vp9 when it came out was covered by guns and Ammo when I wrote copy for them. I sat in on the interview with the marketing VP from HK (I know him still today and I am a former demo team member for HK) He said that from day 1 the VP was made to fill the demand of the American civillian market. They saw the YT videos comparing it to glock and people saying they preferred the striker. The original design for the p30 was a striker but they switched it to a hammer to fit several contracts including the German police contract for several states. The VP was made for the US civilian market mainly to pay for slumping sales in the P30 and the development of the SK version of the USP/2000. The hk of the 90s for the most part is dead. With German laws and the the lack of new designs, hk Germany Is dead for the most part. HK usa is alive and doing well. They are hiring new designers in the US for an American designed and built pistol and shotgun. Keep your eyes open for them.
Been collecting firearms for over 45yrs and only own 2 off your list. Several 1911s and several Colt revolvers. I might buy a Beretta 92 someday to round out my US military pistol lineage collection.
HK LEM trigger is the only way to go.. Sorry Bro 2 things I do not like Fudd Revolvers and 1911 but I do respect your choices and content.. Great job..
I was folding clothes while I was watching this video. When the 1911 part came up, I had to into my bedroom and grab my 1911 out of my nightstand and bring it into the living room with me. The video made me wanna hold it.
I’m newly baptized into 1911. I have 3 since a year ago. Glock, sold, hellcat sold. I don’t like revolvers at all. I am adding a basic SD 9 2.0 to the mix as a basic polymer that shoots just fine. Great list. Love the Wilson Combat finish
My list: 1. Ruger KP95 Stainless 9mm. 2. AR9 9mm 10.3 inch barrel pistol. 3. Dan Wesson 715 Stainless 357. Taurus 85 Blued 38 4. SCCY 9mm. (gave it to my brother because he didn't have any guns). 5. Ruger P345 Blued 45 acp. (Yea I've thought about getting a 1911 more than once).
You should review a stealth arms 1911 now that they make single stack 1911s, there is almost 0 reviews about them especially from the bigger Gun channels

I have shot and trained with enough glocks to know they bore me and I don't see the need to own one. H&K are like having Vegan options on a menu, I'm sure someone cares and I'm happy for them, I just don't care. The two pistols my Dad carried when I was a kid was either a Dan Wesson in .357 or an old Army 1911 made in the 1940s. The first pistol my Dad gave me to practice with and shoot local matches was a Taurus 92. So I have a soft spot for the 92s, either the Italian or the Brazilian.
Can’t agree more about the 1911 I just picked up an older stainless Springfield armory 1911 .45 long slide and I’m counting down the time until my range opens today
Eh... Ive owned 3 USPs, you can keep them. Ill substitute a Browning Buckmark for the HK slot. Also not a huge fan of the 19. I have 4 currently, but I've always preferred the fullsize, or the subcompact size. Im pretty ok with everything else...
😂😂😂😂😂 I swear you took the thoughts right out of my head from my first! I am a very seasoned shooter…. Or so I thought. I own 80 weapons… i own most of the major players.I am a state certified trainer. Having never handled the platform, picking one up for the first time was almost magical… shooting them, especially one of high quality is poetic. While I’ll alway appreciate all the others for what 2 bring to the table, I am forever hooked!!
The Glock my feelings as I have avoided them since their inception... Yes the VW will get me there and will start and run and everyone out of the box has shot dead-on. But, watching the impact on revolver carrying officers prematurely tapping a few bad-guys. I went with the S&W 645. When our Agency decided to finally go with an issued semi, it was the HK USP in .45 cal with lights, still have it (retirement benny) and still my fav. Striker took decades with a S&W Shield, as I avoided 9mm until then so I still need the 92F... The revolvers, S&W and Dan Wesson with a Ruger Black Powder US Army. Great clip and I agree with your logic.
Glock is that girl who may not be prettiest but when you get her home she gets it done! In the morning you can take her out to breakfast and not be embarrassed to be seen with her!
I only agree with some of your picks. I own a 3" Colt Python, a 4" Colt Python, a 6" Colt Python, all from the 60's except for the 3" which I had from '82 and converted from a 4" to a 3" so it is period correct and is identical to Wiley Clap's. I also have a Beretta 92FS, 92. 92FS Compact and an 85FS .380 ACP. My 1911's are from the 40's. I have 3 Colt LW Commanders in 38 super, 9mm, and .45 ACP. My other two picks are a CZ75 Compact 9mm, which is my EDC, and a Smith & Wesson 442 Airweight .38 special. I have many others that I like, Sig 226 in .357 Sig and 9mm. Sig 229, etc.
Your list and mine are different. My List: Glock 37 45GAP which is equivalent to 45ACP+P and can be pushed much further S&W K frame 357 is 357 perfection 1911 Colt GOVT 9mm an extra round and a soft shooter Barretta 92AF INOX is the stainless version of a classic Hawes Grand Marshall 44 Mag a single action cowboy gun The Sig 226 is runner up. My daily carry is a Glock 20 in 10 mm.

I have a glock 19 that I never shoot. I took it in trade from a buddy and I refuse to get rid of it. I don't even like it but I respect that it will shoot any time you pick it up and pretty dang accurate. I'm just old school and 1911 or browning high-power are more my liking. I'm a big fan of the old school sigs 220 - 232 yes I have em all. Thanks for the video. Glad to onow I'm not crazy or at least there are others that are on the insane plane with me
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate: The Bersa Thunder 40 returns to torment Jake, Crispy dabbles in Japanese Adult filming style, and 164K subscribers will have completely different gun list, because the only thing gun owners agree with is that everyone else is wrong and stupid.
I'd agree if only you'd replace the 92FS with a 226. After all, it was the better pistol lol But more realistically, I'd recommend 1. Glock 19> something that will work as is despite being relatively crude. 2. P226 (an Elite model or similar to get the best possible one)>something that can be both a duty and competition pistol 3. S&W 686> a modern wheel gun 4. A gucci 1911/2011>A fine piece of work with some history 5. A competition CZ>The modern full competition oriented gun. S2 makes sense at the very least. Honorable Mention: USP. Cheap extra gun: 92FS.
I don't own most of these guns, but I own something very similar to each one. 1. Walther PDP 2. Sig P226 3. S&W Model 19 4. CZ75 BD 5. Springfield 1911
Thankfully, I don't care if others think of me as a gun guy or not based on what I own... I've got more trigger time than majority of those that would judge, and can probably outshoot them anyway. I'm more concerned with training than what gucci piece I'm carrying anyway.
My list - not in order: Sig P226 in .357 Sig, 92FS in 9mm, Ruger Gp100 in .357 mag and (surprise) Walter PP S M2 in 9mm. In the hunt for a 10mm 1911 to complete the collection. Great review!
I'd read it if he wrote a book 🔥 I recently had the pleasure of shooting a SandHawk and actually understand the 1911 platform.... I totally get the high end 1911/2011 thing now! It is similar to the custom knife world for sure. Like when you hold a Medford or a Demko for the first time.. it's got some heft to it but man those are serious knives!
My personal list: - 1911 - Glock 17/19/45/19X/whatever - Revolver of any kind - Sig P226 (or your preferred “wonder-nine) - Ruger Mk III/IV or similar .22LR
Not a glock guy either... but years later i own a 34 and a 20. Glock does belong on the list. If just 1 I'd say the 17 or 19 is the best representative glock.
I have 2 1911s, my 70 ser. that I had in the military when we switched over to the 92 (a sad day indeed) and an Alpha Foxtrot (Duluth, GA. ) in 10mm which is like butter to run, not cheap by any means but worth it, all the same and I have Glocks (G3 17 and a couple 21s plus a Mech Tech, M4 carbine conversion), a Keltec .380 pocket pistol I absolutely love which can be carried anywhere, anytime in 30 different ways and something I think absolutely should have been on the list as it's the quintessential, LE/military go to of the planet, we'll built, smooth running, accurate and easy to shoot, you guessed it... The Browning Hi Power (the "improved 1911"), so named as it was the first pistol to hold 13+1 rds. I have two "T" series, one in a beautiful blue and one Parkerized with G10 grips that's an absolute work mule. You can do so much with them to turn them into truly amazingly smooth shooting, reliable pistols and yet, they're terrific right out of the box. You like the HKs (I do, too) but I went the other route with the FN. The FN pistol and an FAL are the two weapons I would go to war and live or die on (ok, and my A.F. 1911 10mm 😆). Heavy, a *man's* rifle to be sure, the FAL won't quit on you no matter what you put it through. Sorry, waxing nostalgic for the old days, a bit. I do agree that if you're going revolver, a .357 Python is a must. 😊
Browning Hi-power... can't argue with that. Although, I disagree on the .357-- It's not if you're 'going revolver'... Every gun owner should be legally required to own a .357, PERIOD! Like it should be a law... how's that for gun control?? Fun fact: My '81 Python is timed so perfectly it doesn't have a cylinder drag mark.
Love my Sig Emperor Scorpion 1911 45 acp. Have a G19 gen 5. Find myself carrying my sig 95% of the time. I also have the newer Colt Anaconda 6" 44mag! That thing is as smooth as butter. Had to change the sights to Wilson Combat. Fun as anything to ahoot! Good stuff, brother.
I carried a Glock 34 on duty for 16 years( I carried a S&W 5906 before the Glock). Very fast draw and with a barrel that centered closer to your hand, it’s deadly accurate. But, I do own many others. Now I carry an Sig 365 X. I have a 1970 Colt Python in 4”, a Ruger .44 mag, a Springfield 1911, a “fancy” special addition Ruger 22/45 tactical in FDE and many others. My point is, if you’re truly a gun girl, you gotta diversify! I always wet myself over my MP5K suppressed with Franklin fun switch. Not a pistol I know…..just pure wetness!!!
Happy to say I'm 5 for 5ish. I have a Colt Python, not an Anaconda. However, I'd work in a Sig P226 instead of a 1911. The 1911 would be an honorable mention. The 1911 is the father of all modern semi-autos, and it deserves recognition for that. I might substitute it in for the Colt Snake Gun...
I was actually surprised that I had a few on the list. Colt detective special,Beretta 92 FS, a 1911, while not a Colt it’s a Kimber Classic stainless LE from around 1996. Only 600 or so were made. I still love my Smith &Wesson revolvers, especially my 686 no dash 6”.
Let's see. Of your five picks I have, Glock 47 & custom Gen 3 17, H&K USP 45, P30L, MK23, M9A4, Colt Python & SW 686, AND Springfield TRP Operator full rail, Sig Emperor Scorpion 1911, Colt Government Classic (for nostolgia).
Decent list. And while it's not something I'd carry, (off property) there's something very special about shooting a large frame revolver. Puts a smile on my face every time. The 1911 is the tortoise, where the 2011 is the hare. I have a great love for both. And since I won't be alive 100 years from now, I don't mind enjoying both in equal measure today.

I own 2 shitty 1911’s and one old one I got from cmp. I believe that from the cheapest 1911 to the Gucci 1911 everyone should own at least one (or 20) because they are the bomb!
I almost cried at the end there….but then I remembered I’m a man.
That said I appreciate the car comparisons. 1911 is next on the list of purchases.
😂Come on man! Number one should be a Heritage Rough Rider! 100 bucks every Thanksgiving and Christmas for years except during Covid. A $30 box of 500 rounds of cheap 22ir ammo and Saturday afternoon you are golden.
Gun # 1 hurt my soul, but you recovered with #2.
It scarred me a little bit as well
Is what it is. You don't have to like something to acknowledge it has the reputation it has for a reason
Respect that he made the HK USP on the list
Love the USP
I remember the letter from Mrr. Rob well.Yep, teared up a little. Beautifully told.
Wish you could see some of my old work. It too had soul with a strong following in the high end collectors world because of it.

When I taught my son to shoot pistol, we had my full collection to try… Beretta 92, SIG P320, SW M&P 2.0, Glock 19, Kahr P9, and Kimber Custom Target. He loved that Kimber 1911 most. My heart was full hearing him say that. It remains my favorite as well.
Yes sir,
Hi Power, 50 years and she's still twerking, beautiful machine. ❤
I finally got my first 1911 picked it up monday a dan wesson pm-745, ive always loved the way 1911's looked but that video he brings up realpy drove me to buy it, cant wait to purchase more!
VP9 was made for the civilian market.
That's why it's the VP9- Volks Pistale 9mm
People's pistol, 9mm
Is that why it’s HKs only pistol that had some teething issues after release?

Great job..
I was folding clothes while I was watching this video. When the 1911 part came up, I had to into my bedroom and grab my 1911 out of my nightstand and bring it into the living room with me. The video made me wanna hold it.
Great guns but the ending was the most beautiful moment in any RUclips video I've ever watched. WELL DONE.
It’s official now…according to Jake I’m gun guy. I own a Glock 40, HK45, Dan Wesson .357, Beretta LTT and a CMP 1911A1. I’ve never felt so much pride.

4. SCCY 9mm. (gave it to my brother because he didn't have any guns).

You should review a stealth arms 1911 now that they make single stack 1911s, there is almost 0 reviews about them especially from the bigger Gun channels
Please do this type of video for rifles and shotguns, I think we would all appreciate that. Great video, pretty solid choices. Thanks
The P7 is kraut perfection.
Exactly.
I EDC an M13 in a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster.
I’ve got a M8 with 3 barrels, one of them threaded. 2 days ago I had 5 suppressors get approved at once & one of them is the B&T P7 model.👍
Eh, the HK P7 is overrated. It's kind of cool I guess.

The absolute best, most reliable, and the ultimate elite handguns are made by 1 company: SIG SAUER.
Every thing else is sub-standard, hands down; nuff said. ACCEPT NOTHING BUT THE BEST EVER..
I agree with you!
Isn't the Taurus copy a 99? I like it because it can go cocked & locked.
Already own two of the five. I have a S&W 686 and a Glock 19....been thinking about a 1911A1...not sure which one yet
I lol'd right at the beginning with the pixel-blur 😂 good stuff
I own nothing but Sig Saurer's and Smith & wessons. They never fail me.

06:12 - Heckler & Koch
11:33 - A revolver
16:26 - A full-size Beretta
19:33 - 1911
😂😂😂😂😂 I swear you took the thoughts right out of my head from my first!
I am a very seasoned shooter…. Or so I thought. I own 80 weapons… i own most of the major players.I am a state certified trainer. Having never handled the platform, picking one up for the first time was almost magical… shooting them, especially one of high quality is poetic. While I’ll alway appreciate all the others for what 2 bring to the table, I am forever hooked!!
The video actually starts at 19:33.
Haha
You are absolutely correct bruh!!!
This sounds very specific to you lol
CZ Mafia is coming for you lol 😂

I was in the military and I carried both the 1911 and the M9 (92fs) and I own both. I was surprised that I had every gun on your list and for the very reason you stated. I have a glock 19 that I never shoot. I took it in trade from a buddy and I refuse to get rid of it. I'd agree if only you'd replace the 92FS with a 226. After all, it was the better pistol lol
But more realistically, I'd recommend
1. Glock 19> something that will work as is despite being relatively crude.
2. P226 (an Elite model or similar to get the best possible one)>something that can be both a duty and competition pistol
3. S&W 686> a modern wheel gun
4. A gucci 1911/2011>A fine piece of work with some history
5. A competition CZ>The modern full competition oriented gun. S2 makes sense at the very least.
Honorable Mention: USP.
Cheap extra gun: 92FS.

My personal list:
- 1911
- Glock 17/19/45/19X/whatever
- Revolver of any kind
- Sig P226 (or your preferred “wonder-nine)
- Ruger Mk III/IV or similar .22LR
I’m 0:58 into the video and I already get the feeling that neither of the 2 pistols I own will be on this list 🤣
#6 any CZ 75 pistol the ergonomics, accuracy and no malfunctions.
Not a glock guy either... but years later i own a 34 and a 20. Glock does belong on the list. If just 1 I'd say the 17 or 19 is the best representative glock.
CZ will make it on this list one day
My first three guns are on the list, Beretta 92FS, HK USP (45 ACP) and Glock (G23). I currently own all 5 although my top 5 list might vary a little.
#1 .45 1911
#2 9mm 1911
#3 Colt 1903
#4 9mm double stack 1911

Love my Sig Emperor Scorpion 1911 45 acp. Have a G19 gen 5. Find myself carrying my sig 95% of the time. I also have the newer Colt Anaconda 6" 44mag! That thing is as smooth as butter. Had to change the sights to Wilson Combat. Fun as anything to ahoot! Good stuff, brother.

The 92 is like a therapy dog…
LOL! I about blew Pepsi out of my nose on that one.
lol
Sorry, you lost me at #1. 😂 (kidding, not kidding)
Hey look, a glock! A classic "me too" gun! 😂
3 of my favorite handguns made the list 😎
I was actually surprised that I had a few on the list. Colt detective special,Beretta 92 FS, a 1911, while not a Colt it’s a Kimber Classic stainless LE from around 1996. Only 600 or so were made. I still love my Smith &Wesson revolvers, especially my 686 no dash 6”.
5/5 is the number of guns I have on this list and the rating this video deserves 👍
Let's see. Of your five picks I have, Glock 47 & custom Gen 3 17, H&K USP 45, P30L, MK23, M9A4, Colt Python & SW 686, AND Springfield TRP Operator full rail, Sig Emperor Scorpion 1911, Colt Government Classic (for nostolgia).
Replace Glock OR USP for a cz and then this list is pretty damn good
Decent list.
