Engineer here, checking in with my carry two tone HK VP9 Tactical... Nailed it... 😅🍻
Dang it lol
👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼 the real ones know. Jake’s a idiot
I have been an Amazon Prime delivery driver for almost 5 years now and I live in Arizona, I carry a shadow systems cr920p in the summer and a Sig X Macro in the winter 🔥🤙
I got a war poet cr920 for a smaller gun they really run amazingly
I’m on board with it
I would have guessed a regular cr920 for you
I always hope you guys are carrying, goes without saying thanks for putting up with the job!
Are the drivers allowed to carry while on duty ? I'm curious, I live in commie NYC where we are lucky the cops are allowed to carry.
I was a plain clothes detective for over half of my 20 plus years on the job. I was fortunate enough to carry pretty much whatever I wanted as long as it met department guidelines and I could qualify with it. I was issued a Glock 23, but not a fan of it. I carried various 1911’s to include Wilson combat and Nighthawk. I ran across an article by Massad Ayoob about his experience with the Glock 30 and on several occasions achieving less than 1” groups at 25 yards. I picked up a gen 3 Glock 30 and Massad was spot one. Most accurate Glock, in my hands, I’ve shot to this day and I’ve shot nearly every Glock model. I carried this until I retired. I would rather have a $500.00 pistol taken for evidence than a $4k 1911.
What I was thinking only problem with Nighthawk is the $$$ and a detective puts themselves in situations where they would need to use the firearm therefore lose it for an undetermined amount of time during investigation and possible court case after which can lasts years! Beautiful firearm but would think sure own one if you got the $$$ but carry something else just as dependable but less $$$
The Glock 30SF is one of the most slept on firearms IMO. It’s a beautiful balance of power, conceal-ability, and size.
the art student should have been a luger p08
Mauser C96 Schnellfeuer!
Too soon
An Art student, liberal, leftist would not be in a gun store or carry ever
@@missinglink1737 yep art student edc - a pink bottle of pepper spray with matching pink whistle!
I think that history has shown that failed austrian art students like the ppk
“The Detective is a little bit older, like 35, or 40…” Yeah, almost elderly.
Haha
We both know that 35 ain’t 25 and 40 definitely ain’t 30 😂
Ha! Agreed. And “2 divorces.” Sheesh… that dude’s been rode hard and put up wet. 😅
Most cops retire after between 20 and 30 years on the force. That means with 20 to 30 years the "old man" on the force would be in their mid 40s to early 50s. Meaning a detective can be seen as "older" in their mid 30s.
When Jake said “Outrageous” I busted out laughing.
Also, based on the arguments, Jake should have won. If you are receiving a graduation gift, you are no longer an art student.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for thinking of a large animal veterinarian first!! We are a dying breed. I personally am a mobile large animal veterinarian driving ranch to ranch in Central Texas.. I have two Ruger Vaqueros btw…. My carry guns always in my truck??. (1.) Barret .Rec 10 .308 with Nightforce 1x8 (2.) Staccato P with Trijicon RMR.. Truly enjoy the channel, thank you for your work.
Hahaha that’s great man.
Do more! This whole Occupation factor in EDC makes this a fun and insightful vid. It would mean the world if you did Lawyer, Doctor, and Farmer.
Sequels perhaps
A lawyer would want a handgun with a multiple safeties, minimum capacity and no engravings that makes the firearm more dangerous 😂🤣😂.
The doctor would want something he/she knows that the person will no survive
The farmer is going to want a sidearm that can take down an elk and a long gun for back up
Well done! 2 observations: #1, that shop is outstanding. #2, no matter the profession, always pick the flex. 👍👍
I am from europe and mechanical engineer. That being said vast majority of EU citizens cant conceal carry.
If I could however, CZ would be the one...P01, shadow 2 compact,...
Metal, hammer fired gun for me!
The dynamic between these two is hilarious
🍻
Delivery driver here. Carry a psa dagger now but I’ve considered the 365. Just need a no nonsense firearm that works and doesn’t have a huge grip that will print or has weight that makes it feel like I’m carrying bricks. It has to be something that can be on body all day. A 19x wouldn’t be a popular choice for this.
As an aerospace engineer, I carry a govt 1911 in .45. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Most of our modern passenger aircraft are based on designs from 60-70 yrs ago with some improvements here and there. Modern day 1911's (and 2011's for the 9mm guys, I ain't judging) share the same sentiment, and that's why I run one.
I'm also based in AZ, so now I've got to check out both those shops!
🤣
One word neither of you mentioned for an Engineer was, “Innovation” which is hammered into us.
So a DA with a hammer ?
I think “make it work” is probably more accurate
As a software engineer, I can confirm that I do indeed carry a vp9 tactical everyday when I go out and it's always next to me at my desk. Used to carry a glock 45, but I upgraded to a little nicer grip of a gun. Also since I work from home I keep my sbr'd ap5 right next to me with it's obsidian 9 suppressor n the tri-lug mount.
As a professional pimp I EDC a Nickel plated 1911😮😅😊
I envy you
Yesssss
Please tell me your grips are Pearl, like a proper New Orleans Pimp would have.
@@BrianKern2121 a True O.G. Pimp will only have pearl handled grips on his my Mr. Two World Wars!
@@Chrisblau PIMPS Know.....LOL!
One great video guys! ❤ 🎉
The Pimp gun, I’m surprised you didn’t pick the Desert Eagle .50 AE Gold Tiger !
Next time you guys need a pimp in the shop, let me know!
Pimpin
Great video! I'm a pistol parlor customer for over 20 years. Clyde's son is doing an awesome job. Eddie is my man. The store and staff art the best 👌
I bought my first handgun at that shop.
The Pistol Parlor on Gilbert road?
@VibeZz96 Yes, Gilbert and Southern. Previously country club and southern

As a software engineer ,I confirm that I carry an Hk vp9 sk. Lmfao this was spot on.
🔥🔥🔥
Semi truck driver sig365 XL on me, p80 within reach in truck, and a 300blk pistol packed up in case.
Cheap revolver 100% for the art student. You got robbed Jake!
Robbed!!
Im a mechanical engineer and I’m with the HK VP9 or any H&K vs the 2011: light weight, high capacity, accurate, great engineer design and extremely reliable.
I also appreciate the engineer uniqueness behind any Beretta.
The one that blows my mind is the engineering simplicity and reliability of a Glock.
This video was everything fun about guns. Good job guys!
LOL! My veterinarian wife edc's a lightweight commander in .45 acp
lol amazing
😂😂😂😂
Civil Engineer here. 3 HK USP, in 9, 40, and 45. For winter carry. My Edc varies between a HK P30 and a Wilson Combat .45 depending on the weather. A Kahr PM9 for summer shorts and tee shirt
Absolutely genius premise for a video. Enjoyed that one thoroughly. 🤣
Hahah thanks dude it was all jake and crispy
Watching now but just wanted to say the title killed me 😂
lol

As a mechanical engineer, I want something that I don't have to worry about with a little flare. Like my Shadow Systems or HK. And EDC a mechanical watch from vintage Omegas and Rolex Subs to more modern takes.
I really like this analogy and thanks for watching and commenting. The crew appreciates you
The employee thinking about answering the phone got me pretty good
As a person whom has been known to dabble in the great American pastime of pimpery. I have always leaned on my green and purple cheetah pattern Desert Eagle in 50AE.. It is huge, visually stunning and one shot cleans my corner clear out.
😂😂😂 my man. Best comment thus far. Thank you for watching and we respect the green and purple 50 👊🏼
“…the Art Student, not really what I’d call a job.” ❤😂
As was discussed haha
What we’ve really learned is how different folks can be within an occupation… engineer? Nerdy or Gucci? Vet? Shotgun so great for a field vet. But in town vet… wouldn’t be surprised if some folks got the wrong idea about their stash of morphine/ketamine/etc. Also B&T “Veterinary Pistol” 9 would be the literal correct choice.
Thank you guys and everyone that was in the video
Engineer - Sig P226
Vet - Fn510
Detective - HK P7
Amazon - HK SP5K PDW
Art Student - Walther PPK
Pimp - Desert Eagle 50AE
Pimp gun: Desert Eagle 50ae gold tiger stripe gun! Done.

"This screams: 'I might have to shoot a horse.' "
It’s a real possibility
Great topic and great video! As for me I’m a restaurateur. So when i was located in a city/urban environment I was edc an HK USP compact or the full-size. Reliability was the key and definitely went with 45 acp no joking. Since then im located in suburbs growing area but still get some sketchy or etc etc. l mean you always have to have a guard up. These areas is probably where criminals can catch you off guard. But anyhow I carry an sig sauer p365xl. Waiting on HK to come out with something similar. Slim and light.
For the area I’m in, I’m good with sig p365xl👍 Until HK comes out with something very similar 😂
I’m not holding my breath though.
Software engineer, always have my PDP compact within 1 ft from my keyboard.
Solid choice
The pimp choices were hysterical 😂
Y'all truly are like a Top Gear or more relative is Throttle House. Likd every minute of your vids are enjoyable.
Thanks bro
Please make this a series. This was awesome.
I'd go with a Derringer for the art student.
I think you guys needed to actually get people in each of those professions to make the choice. That would have been epic.
As a former art student the point shouldve gone to the .38 special because that would've been my choice. Lol
As a mechanical engineer, I carry a Bul Armory SAS II UL.
If it makes you feel better, I'm an engineer and was dry firing a VP9 while listening to this.
Engineer-custom glock 19mos
Vet-judge 45 lc or 410
Detective-platypus still a 2011 but can share glock mags w
Art student-cz shadow 2 ultimate hipster company with a pretty gun
Amazon- some version of the 365
Pimp-glock 22 (glock 40 problem solver)
I’m a full time Uber driver I carry a Sig P320 in .357 sig! 18 rounds of beastmode!
The Engineer- H&K USP Expert .45 ACP with Jet Funnel magazines
Veterinarian- Ruger SP-101 Revolver 2.25" or 3" .357 Magnum Revolver
Amazon Delivery driver- S&W M&P Shield 2.0 9mm
Art Student- Ruger LCR in .22lr
The Detective- SIG P239 in 9mm or a SIG P229 DAK in .40 S&W both very well used and loved.
Pimp- old J-frame S&W .38 special Revolver in polished stainless or a Nickle 1911 .45acp with white pearl grips.
Art student? Carrying a gun? Respectfully, that’s funny.
@@markm148probably one of those pepperball guns 🤣
I’m a driver for a major food company, and it’s a G26 in a pocket holster, G19 mag for a reload.
Never met a detective that hadn't been divorced at least 3 times. They don't have extra money. They'll carry a basic duty gun with no spare ammo, but only if forced to.
Hope you guys do more videos like this for different professions/personalities. Would be an awesome regular video series. My wife is a nurse and would wants to see both of your nurse picks. Im a corporate jet pilot and cannot carry at my current job but have carried when flying for some private individuals. Curious to see your pick for a pilot too. Thx guys.
That’s the plan!
Recently got a P220 Legion 10mm (Merry Christmas to me) been carrying it in a shoulder holster feeling like a detective
That’s a beast of a beaut!!
Plot twist, art student is anti 2A. They’d carry either a pink pepper spray or a knife.
Nice, my two favorite shops and nice to see Eddy on here.
He’s the man huh?
@@Chrisblau yea, he’s good people.
As a female investigator I carry a Sig P365 or Sig P320 depending on what I'm wearing. Duty weapon was an M&P 9mm. Husband is a deputy who carries a Sig P226 on duty and Ruger GX4 Carry off duty.
Super great and fun video you'll put together here. Definitely a tie impo. Thanks for sharing.

@@1911syndicate 🍻
As an engineer: I appreciate Glock simplicity, reliability, and parts availability. I would choose Glock 19.
.38 revolver for an art student is way over the top for them.
They get a .22 caliber
2 in. They have no choice in the matter point blank. We can't waste .38 of any kind on them. What do they know?
"This screams I might have to shoot a horse" 😂🤣 lol what.💀
Just repeat the word, “engineer” as many times as you can in five minutes.😂
As a butcher i personally edc a small 5.56 rifle. Lol, I actually carry a glock 34 gen 3 taran tacti. Combat master with compensator. It is at this point id say after carrying 2 years a little too much. I'm going down to a glock 19 but want recommendations. Don't have a good holster. Weigh 134, 5'6
As someone who has worked at an Art College, I can say it would either be a Staccato or a pepper spray. Most of them are anti 2A and are either completely broke or have very well of parents.
This was so fun. Please keep these going hahah
We plan on it!
Dude we can do A LOT of these kinda videos. Gonna be fun dude thanks for the kind words
@@Chrisblau heck yeah man! Glad to hear it!
Any HK. Anybody. They. Just. Work… very very well. I’m into a dozen of them.
I’m in the engineering field and I usually carry a FN 509T in a holster
When I travel or don’t think I need a gun I carry a Walther PPS M2 LE
Otherwise I’ll carry a Marcos X with a Icarus Grip or a modified Walther PDP SD Pro (cut and crowned barrel, ported and stippled) - the PDP is my fav of those but the FN is the more proven option of them all so far
Lol proven by who?
@@griftinggamer lol I have over 3000 rounds through my 509T and aside from breaking in a comp it has always ran reliably
Without the comp I have about 2000 rounds and never had a failure
@oceaser6977
Listen here buddy, I have 10,000 rounds through my *insert generic polymer striker pistol" and it really doesn't matter.
Some of these arguments get pretty heated then bam best friend mode activates lol
Back when I was a police officer, my detective actually carried a USP
In 9mm or 45 ?
Cause he was awesome
I meet a lot of people from all walks of life…Jake was on point with every one of his picks except the engineer. Many of them might appreciate an expensive pistol but won’t actually spend the money on one
Mechanical Engineer here, carry a 9mm commander 1911 whenever not in the office
Professional Criminal (Ret.) FL, edc was Sig P220. Now it's a stainless 1911 Gov 🐊
I would have gone CZ P-10c for Art students. Super affordable and has those hipster vibes. Easy dudes. Popped into my head immediately.
When I heard the engineer one I immediately thought staccato
You guys are true scholars.
I bought my first gun at that shop!
Great shop
“Engineered for an engineer”X3
Electrical engineer here. Most engineering work is done in an office. It’s got to be small and convenient and blend in with khaki pants and a dress shirt. Stainless steel Walther PPK.
Ginger guy is Owen Wilson doppleganger ...love these videos 😁😁😁😁
Farmer EDC has been tisas 1911. Has to handle dirt grease oil, being knocked around, OWB Sherpa to lock in. Study, nothing fancy, has to work.
I would've gone with Arex Delta L for delivery driver.. I did bc my P07 would poke my belly. And the Arex is pretty affordable.
For the detective the HK probably full size though.
The vaquero was great for the veterinarian.
Arex Delta for the art student, affordable.
Is Jake ok? Looks a bit under the weather. Keep up the great content 🙌
That’s just how I look
@1911syndicate 🤦♂️Apologies mate. Meant no offence.
@@jamesbreakwell1893it’s ok if it meant offense also 😂😂
The art student would use their pronouns in a self-defense situation. Pimp- gold Desert Eagle. Engineer- 2011 race gun. Veterinarian- the HK VP9- the actual vet gun. Detective- Glock 19. Amazon delivery driver- Sig P365. There you go!
As a mechanic i carried a SA 1911 mil spec with some wilson combat action parts. when i went to the parts department, i now edc a glock gen 4 19c or gen 5 glock 20 with acro p2 depending how im feeling. That being said usp 45 expert may be next
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate; Jake over thinks the assignment and Chris talks to his imaginary friends.
😂😂😂😂
As a left-handed VP of Sales, I EDC a P30SK LTT.
I’ll allow it
No way dude? Great edc
I love the Vault
Pimps carry either a Taurus G2C or a Sccy with cheap ProMag extended magazines filled with mixed ammo that also has a few .380s mixed in by accident.
2011 for engineer
Shotgun for vet
Both suck for detective, should have been a Glock 19
Delivery driver Glock 19 is close but the g43 is more on point i think because they have to sit down a lot and keep it concealed while driving on camera
Art student Taurus is the answer because they are hundreds of thousands in debt but it would be the gx4 because revolvers are outdated
Pimp desert eagle is on point
This is awesome. Thanks for making me laugh, but you guys are very thorough on your observations. Lose my number Lol. I say that to my friends all the time.
Jake got really robbed! He was mostly spot on with his choices.
After getting into the 2011 platform I just can’t do striker fired guns anymore. I love the Atlas EOS but I gotta pick the CS as the best all around carry gun.
You guys are legends. Best gun personalities on YT. 👏
Cheers mate
Hahaha thanks dude very kind of you. Trust me Jake is worse in person
Being a pimp, I got a plethora of potion. It’s all by choice and never by force.
As someone who got my first handgun in college, that art student decision was horrible 😂
lol
I'm a Molecular engineer. My edc is a Sig xten because...Detroit
Haha
