Congrats on the new Nighthawk! I believe in the semi custom category Nighthawk is the best. They are putting out great quality stuff and their customer service is terrific. I have a couple friends that work there and they are fabulous guys, Scott and Bob over there if you want to order something. Rick
When you can please post more range time reviews on this pistol. I too am looking at this and the C2. I know there's a big price difference, but the Counselor is so well made. Thanks!
It looks like it has really thin grips - I like thin profile grips for my carry 1911, along with some custom work to give some clearance for a higher grip. It's barely noticible to look at, but it feels more natural to hold.
WC lefty’s are aliens lol jk This is by far my favorite 1911. Only thing I would request is a base plate on the magazine for an easier load, much like Wilson magazines. Great review!
THANKS FOR NOT HAVING A LIGHT AND OPTICS ON THESE CARRY GUNS :) !!!! Many folks think loading up on gadgets on every single pistol they own is a good thing.
I was on GunBroker and saw a handful of them then noticed that one of the dealers were in Phoneix about 7 miles always from me. Popped in an bought it.
I’m in phoenix as well, do you mind if I ask which dealer you went to, I got my edc x9 from pistol parlor in Gilbert. I’m thinking of selling my X9L for a counselor or an agent 2
Thanks for sharing.. what grip did you put on the C2? I just got one and I love it but the grip is super thick. Did you get a grip reduction and was it noticable?
I did. Got the grip from Extreme shooters. They took my original and re-stippled it as well as cut down the mainspring for a slimmer grip from front to back.
@@JayMacklin thanks for the reply I was actually torn between extreme shooters and darkside precision... dark side is very expensive so I'll probably take your recommendation on that and do the same. Cheers
I dont know if NightHawk is still doing this, but last year I ordered a Shadow Hawk commander, my first in all steel, vs my other 1911's are light weight framed, they were so busy , you could order a pistol with no deposit. I ordered that ShadowHawk commander, with DLC finish, hi cut under grip, trijicon HD sights, optics cut for sn RMR, in .45 ACP, it just came in?
Honestly,I shoot c better. Don’t care for grip. The Bul ultra only weighs 21.5 oz and holds 15 and shoot it as well as C. Quite a gun Have older sti Escort officers size 45 and great okstiol . Does not look as refined but never malfunctions on anything.and very accurate. Also light, aluminum frame
@@JayMacklin picked up a counselor with the iOS and RMR already mounted today! Came with 12 magazines and 2 holsters. Taking it to the range this week, very happy with my purchase!
Give us some updates! I have one nighthawk already, and trying to decide if I want to get this or stac c/c2... Have edc x9s on the way with the new pinky extension
@@JayMacklin looking forward to it! Counselor being twice the cost of stac c, I can see why its the better value, but you consider shootability the same between them? Thanks!
I have the counselor. Nothing against the staccato, it’s an amazing firearm. The counselor is smaller. That makes a difference to me. The straight eight sites do take some getting used to.
@@jaceprovo I’m on the fence about getting one because of those sights. I know you can swap them out for a red dot, but is it also compatible with other irons/night sights?
@@spooky3096 Yes it is but it pretty much has to go back to nighthawk for it. If you were ordering it custom you can have it anyway you want. The normal Counselor is not cut for a red dot. You must order one with the iOS system from nighthawk. Expect to wait 6 to 10 months. 😱 if you already own one and want them to change the sites out for something like a fiber optic, it will probably take 2 to 4 weeks. Custom ain’t easy.
I trade my jlw7 8s two of them for a staccato c . What you think was it good trade, but now he tex me back , to want his staccato back I say bro trade is a trade . Lol
The Counselor
What a great name for a handgun.
They need to name their next new model The Social Worker

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The Counselor is my bucket list carry gun.
Just got a delegate but haven’t ever seen one, am a bigger guy so this gave me some reassurance. Same here in preference for non-polymer pistols
This is the video I wanted to see. Perfectly done even if it was a quickly made video.
Beautiful guns!I love my nighthawk predator ii!!

Yes, love my Staccato though. Not ready to give it up.
I love my staccato c but the mag release sucks ?
THANKS FOR NOT HAVING A LIGHT AND OPTICS ON THESE CARRY GUNS :) !!!! Many folks think loading up on gadgets on every single pistol they own is a good thing.
i wonder if the weight disparity between your scale & the website is because you weighed it w/o the empty mag?
In Your opinion which is the best: nighthawk, stacatto c, Wilson Combat or bul Sas 2 ?
Was the Nighthawk a special order or did your FFL have it in stock? Thank you for the video.

Will the night hawk mags fit the staccoto c?
Yes they do.
Now that you’ve had it for awhile what do you think? Staccato C duo for $1700 or Counselor for $3900?
I think the Staccato is a huge value. The Counselor is worth the money but the C or C2 is a better value.

2 Staccato C’s

I can post one.
nighthawk vs ? ....didnt see any vs in this video

Are the grips interchangeable with office size grips? I know they shortened the frame a bit and also have the mag well.
Good question. I haven’t tried so not sure.

It's beautiful but not worth the multi thousands of dollars that's being asked for it.
