Thanks. Great information. I will say my favorite part was when you said, "We're going to rack that slide three times." as you racked it ten times. I liked it because that's pretty much how I count to three also.
Aint got no time for counting, lol.
I think we all do that.
This is what all gun companies should do for all their guns.
Please do a video on installing red dots optics!
Damn that 2011 C2 looks really nice !!!🔥
I have to say.
The DLC makes cleaning very easy.
Any decent lube, 6 q tips, a rag, and bore snake, you are gtg.
Carbon just wipes away, maybe a brush on the breech face, q tips in the tight spaces, I put a drop of oil on the hammer hooks, barrel lugs, rails, and the tip of the disconnector.
I lock the slide back and set the toolless guide rod, then pull the slide stop, and slide, but Tony's way works fine as well.
So much easier than wrestling a barrel bushing, and recoil system.
Love my P, and clean after each range trip.
It only takes 5 or so minutes.
Great video thank you for reinforcing the issue that Firearms need to be lubricated. I've read many articles when people say Firearms are meant to be run dry. Bulshit metal against metal need lubrication
Great, informative video!
Thanks for this video. After I upgraded my gen 1 staccato P to a tooless guid rod I had problems getting it back together.
Thanks for the great updated video for my c2 duo , only advice is to be very careful in following slide stop installation correctly and hold gun as shown. I think I slipped and put slide stop in at wrong position and jammed slide. Sent back to get slide stop pin back out. May be able to just push on slide stop hard with punch to get back out. Warranty repair very fast next day mail paid by staccato wow thanks also for installing and zero my delta point pro. Well worth the money for me safety apendex carry LAS holster. Thumb stop safety helps with recoil and training is so natural to use it. With this gun it is almost impossible to have a accidental discharge when holster gun. Love my new Staccato!
Staccato 2011 is DA GOAT 🐐
Thank you. Just helps when it’s spelled out for you. So simple. But really great to confirm I’m doing it right on a $ 3500 gun. Yessssssss
Thank you, Tony!
Your videos are so informative, easy to understand and easy to see what you are doing!! Thank you so much for helping me through cleaning my Staccato XL😌 now can you please make a video for cleaning the Staccato mags! 😳
THANK YOU!
Thanks for this, i just got my c2 this helped me so much maintaining my gun, i just finished running 400 rounds and i love it. Thanks Again, pls do a video how to install a DPO Trijicon SRO
I can’t wait to get my c2, hopefully here soon.
I just got mine the week of 03/24/2021. Put a few hundred rounds through it. Love it. Now the hunt for a holster.
@@JamesIngram84 Qvo tactical. Check them them out.

Ha me too. Just ordered mine in the 1st
Beautiful guns, nice to see that they are still simple to take down and lubricate. One day I’ll get a C2
Good stuff. I just bought a C2 DPO. Long time Glock user, so I'm stoked to get my first 2011.
Welcome to the family, you'll never go back to the "Plastic Fantastic". Not knocking Glocks, I own them too, but they are not in the same league as your new pistol.
Thank you!!!!!!!
I’d like to see one of these maintenance videos for one with the Dawson ice compensator
27 years LEO. last 15+ with a Kimber 1911, TLR2, only problems were when my magazine spring were old. Recently purchased at 2011, my gift to me as I enter the last 5 years of my career. I cleaned and lubed as described and then carried it. During a class for red dots all I had was problems on the first day. To the point I started to distrust the gun. Failure to extract, failed to lock back. Could not complete a string of fire without a problem. Took it home cleaned it and the next day ran it wet. Literally had oil coming dripping. Ran with no problems. I’m going to go back to grease, if you use this gun for duty oil the …. out of it.
PS I purchased the specific oil in this video
I’ve been having the same issues. I’m going to clean and oil my pistol. I’ve been using 115 grain ammunition and going to use 125 grain ammunition at my next shoot. Hopefully that takes care of my stovepipe and failure to lock back issues.
Are there any benefits for either recoil spring design? The recoil master seems the easiest to remove and install.
When i got my staccato p duo they were brand new, and they sent me the wrong manual that didnt have the toolless guide rod. I was very very confused that day, this vid would have been useful
I just ordered my C2 today. Should be here by Thursday. Quick question. This will be my first 2011 platform, never owned a 1911 either. Are lubrication points similar to that of my glocks?
Hi Tony, when are you doing one of these for the CS model?
How often should the recoil master/springs be replaced? Can't find that it the manual for my new C2 purchase.
I wonder if staccato makes upright thumbsafety for a better thumb purchase?
สวยครับ
I think I need a staccato
What cleaner and lube is recommended by staccato for their pistols?
when do you and do you apply lube?
I am shooting a factory 1911. Is the recoil master system a vast improvement in absorbing the felt recoil of the slide cycle compared to the traditional 1911 system? What are the improvements you see overall?
Many things play a part in felt recoil. The biggest change to me is proper recoil spring weight. Lighter springs will allow for faster travel and can increase felt recoil. Too heavy of a spring will cause a faster return to battery and noticeable "dip" on return. It's a balancing act. This is also load dependant.
There is really no true way to reduce physical recoil, but "felt recoil" can be managed. You can always tune your springs to your load. Most factory springs are designed to shoot a wide variety of loadings for reliability. Tuning or adjusting your springs can cause issues, depending on load. Major class springs 18 pound plus (heavier) will slam the return. (With minor loads PF) causing dip. Minor springs (less than 16 pounds) can cause loading and ejection issues with factory loads.
The recoil master or tool less system will not fit all models of 1911's, it really depends on make and model.
The only reason I gave my 2 cents is because nobody else seemed to address your question.
Hopefully I was a little help. I've been running 1911/2011 pistols for 30 plus years professionally, personally and when I competed.
I find the C2 really hard to reassemble, the guide rod always wants to pop down when putting the slide back on. With the P/XC/XL I don't have any issue there because though it wants to do the same I keep the spring captured and the guide rod as far forward as possible. Then when its all lined up I just bring the slide to the rear fully which releases the part that captures the spring and voila.
Same here, got constantly holding it during takedown and reassembly so it doesn't pop out. Not a big deal tho, just have to remember to hold it.
We've all shot the spring across the bench, lol.
Practice makes perfect.
got it
I wish you guys would do a 100% full take down video. I would prefer to not have to look at other manufacturers videos for a 1911 take down, to take down the staccato c2.
Do you guys carry a flatface trigger for the staccato p duo?
Trust the trigger STI installed, they've been doing this a long time. If a flat face had any advantage the boys in Texas would've installed it initially. The new Staccatos are designed more for duty/performance, and they do it extremely well.
Is this a DLC barrel? Coz the color of the barrel is not black. I have a staccato and the tag says DLC SS. But the barrel is stainless white. So confusing
I was taught to never dry fire a weapon, would it damage my Staccato P over time? I assume not, but I’m curious.
is the second gun is c2 ?
cant wait to get my P i just ordered yesterday...after watching all the bag openings I'm a little disappointed . my email says 2 17 mags and 1 20.. and all these bag openings on you tube are getting 2 20 rnd mags and 1 17
I got two 20s and 1 17 on a c2 duo tactical last week.
@@oceres hope the guy sending the emails is wrong and i get 2- 20 rnd mags
Hi Trey! Thanks for your feedback and for your business!
In 2021, we made a few updates (i.e., all models now include a redesigned slide stop optimized to interact with the magazine follower for flawless, reliable lockback after each and every magazine) and one of those updates is that we now include 2 - 17 round magazines and 1 - 20 round magazine. Let us know if you have any additional questions. Always happy to answer! Our customer service email is: customerservice@staccato2011.com
Happy shooting,
Staccato
I bought mine new from a local store last month and it came with (2) 20’s and (1) 17.
@@ronandt9913 guess il just have to buy a couple of 20 rounders, got to be uniform with what i carry
Hey Tony when am I going to get the gun I paid for !. Purchased 3 months ago, still waiting. Very little information from Staccato.
Steve Loska did you get it yet?
@@raybostanci3350 I ended up getting a Staccato P DPO, not the C.
This is disassembly and assembly video.
STI made it much easier than their origional models, no more "L" shaped paperclips!
Yeah, been using them since Virgil built my first one many years ago. Nowadays their not nearly as finicky and much more reliable and my EDC is a C2 DPO....only suggestion is that STI would do like their neighbors building Glock Clones (Shadow Systems) and mill a direct mount, no plates.
With that said nothing ( including my Nighthawk) shoots as well to me as my STI's.
To me they'll always be STI.
The DPO system is a direct mount for a leupold DPP/shield RMS/Sig romeo standard. I bet many would prefer the trijicon RMR as a direct mill, but I think they're being smart going with what's going to be the mount used by the military with the P320.
Simultaneously at the same Time?
If that is all the lube you need for your staccato then I def put too much on mine.
Prob won't hurt besides leaking out during storage and range session. Sometimes it's a good idea to over-lube it for the first big range session to ensure a smooth brake-in period.
Hope you're not getting it on your clothing tho ;)
I prefer the well made, proven CLPs for gun care; Ballistol 🇩🇪, Froglube Extreme 🐸, Slip 2000 EWL. It's good to use a CLP that's non toxic, no fumes 🤭, easy to apply. I recently got Slip 2000 EWL & it's a great product for cleaning, lubricating. Avoid WD40 or products which may harm or damage your firearm. If you keep the gun loaded or load spare magazines, inspect those & the ammunition often. Sometimes; lint, crud, CLP or dust may seep into the mags. I also leave a round or 2 off a carry/duty magazine to reduce the tension on the pistol magazine spring.
There are more wear points than what you lubricated; I encourage everyone to do a a better job lubricating their expensive purchase. Do the entire rails, anywhere that you see wear, and Especially lube where the barrel weldments come in contact with the slide for the love of god.
Over lubrication can also cause issues. Excessive oil will attract burnt powder and carbon causing more erosion. This ain't a glock, lube as reccomended, the guy in this video is right.
@@thefrogking481 Right it's not a Glock, it needs more lubricant. Lubricate every bearing surface adequately. Any oil inside a gun is going to attract powder/carbon... That's why you should also clean your gun regularly. My guns run, I oil the shit out of them, especially something with tight tolerances.
no shok buffs? interesting. Are they bs?
Staccato's info specifically says not to use them.
unloaded
Are y’all on Rumble??? The Evil Empire will ban this video
Rubber gloves for a reason other than keeping hands clean ?
Good video but you need to do a better job cleaning the guns.
What was the point of doing a cleaning video and then you skip over the actual cleaning?!?!
What a lazy way to lubricate a gun. You do that shit in the field, not at home or the shop. Lubricate the parts before you put the gun back together and add more lub after, if you want.
the whole no ammo in your workspace is a dumb concept to me
How many times did he say Dawson tool less recoil spring?
