    Incredible video. Very informative. I am still in the "I want 5" group. I do not however own a 2011, yet. I would love a video discussing why Staccato has settled on the 4.4" barrel and why you avoid the full length dust cover. My preferences are largely based on aesthetics of a 5" barrel, full dust cover, and X300 light just looking amazing together. An informative video going into the performance reasons behind your decisions would be great.

    • @JohnSmith-he4xn
      @JohnSmith-he4xn 8 месяцев назад

      I do know with 9mm generally the 4.4 " guns cycle more reliably. Just less mass and especially once you add an optic to the slide. However I do agree 100% the the full length dust cover looks way better. I love the look of the older staccato p with 4.15 barrel. Idk why they didn't keep the full dust cover. I love my 4.4 staccato p however some others on the market do look better due to the dust cover.

    Great story, this is the way a company should service their customers. I love 1911's since I bought my 1st one in 1977, yelp I am definitely a senior, because I can shoot them better than any other platform. Unfortunately, times have changed and not for the better and we now have a security team for our church. The program is under the direction of one person who sets the criteria for 90+ churches in our area. The shooting part of the program is a one day range qualification. While striker fired guns are the approved firearm, I have been granted an exception based on my qualification with the Staccato C2. The only change that I would like to see from the factory is to have the base of the grip more rounded to reduce printing.

    • @shane2973

      I'm sure you are aware, but there are 3rd party companies that will modify the grips for you to make them a bit smaller. I understand that does not specifically address Staccato as a manufacturer, but there are options if that is something you feel will improve the concealment

    All firearm manufacturers need to take a stand in states like California. You get the back door pass and that's bull 💩. I was a California resident most of my life and I have nothing but disdain for California as an adult. Absolutely abhorrent behavior by the leadership with unconstitutional restrictions placed on law abiding good citizens. And even the court system going after the good guys in some cases. They don't prosecute crime so police officers are constantly dealing with the same criminals doing the same things then being let right back out to re-offend. I have had several friends and family in LAPD and LA sheriff. If your a good guy you are out numbered and out gunned. Good luck California residents. Stay safe and carry your gun no matter what, no matter where. And move, if not for you, for your children and their future.

      I wanted a double stack 9mm since 1996, even asked the reps from beretta why isn’t this an option. We used custom 1911s and 92s(Glocks replaced the berettas in 97’), we asked for something that was the best of both…nothing till now. Beretta has the X

    i think the 1911 platform is obsolete. nothing will me convince otherwise. I've had several .45 ACP pistols. SIG, H&K, and a souped up S&W 1911. All the 1911 lovers out there can have them. My SIG 220 kept me alive in Afghanistn more than once. Now I shoot my H&K USP but will switch to the new SIG 9mm.

    If you wanted a duty lineup, fine. I just can’t get it through my head why that’s all you offer. STI had an awesome selection for competition shooters and for guys who just didn’t want a run of the mill black duty gun….yawn. I’d love to hear the real explanation on why this name change happened because it seems odd. Other than,” well we wanted to”. I have 2 STIs they were my favorite pistol hands down. Now they are just not the same I don’t care what anyone says. I will not be buying Staccato. An honest explanation would be nice, these guys are going to say whatever they want now to justify what happened.

    I finished my 40 year LE career in 2020 with a 9mm Staccato P DUO in my holster! I was lucky enough to find a .45 ACP P DUO that year to become my LEOSA EDC. When I show up to qualify for my LEOSA card every year I bring several Ps and a DVC-P for the guys to shoot. They are very popular especially with the Trijicon optics on them. Getting the DVC-P back takes some patience as its extremely popular. Unfortunately, that Agency issues Glocks and there is no foreseeable change for the troops. The SO is very different, if you buy it, it's your option to carry......The .45 ACP travels with me constantly! Mick A27257, APD, TCSO, TCCO..........u
