Chris Arpin shows the difference between Candy Green / Candy Apple Green. autoaircolors.com/candy-dye-c... autoaircolors.com/anodizedcan... createxcolors.com/
Great video. Thanks. I'm crazy about wicked colours for my air brush. Their a joy to use. I started painting bikes and cars in the early 60s. We spent dearly to get good mother of pearl to make candy apple colours. How is what you do here candy apple without the mother of pearl that makes the apple skin?
Hello. These colors are simply candy2o applied over a base of either a billet silver (4104 Quicksilver) or gold (4105 Gold Chrome); links to both of these paint types on our website are in the video's description. Thank you.
Can this paint be used/airbrushed on RC bodies? If so, would it be better to spray it with one of my airbrushes like for example my Iwata TRN2 which has a .5mm needle/nozzle, or would it work better with my light detail HVLP sprayer which has a .8 and a 1.0 needle ,I usually use Spaztix on my bodies, but the colors are limited. I'm wanting to do more of a Candy Emerald Green not just Candy Apple Greens. Any advice/info will be much appreciated!
Yes, Createx paints work well onto poly-carbonate plastic used for RC bodies. For application, please watch our How-To Paint RC graphics video, ruclips.net/video/MIMlX78BdX4/видео.html. when applying candy2o direct to poly-carbonate, an initial coat of 4040 Bleed Checker works well to prevent bleeding. Thank you.
I notice you mention using the Gold Chrome. I can't find that color anywhere. I see Auto-Air Metallic Gold and I see Auto-Air Gold Plating. Is it one of those?
Nice video, leaned a lot about using Quick Silver and candies! I do have a question about something else if you would please? I see what looks to be a PVC pipe along the top of the wall in the video. Is that an air delivery system? Can you give me a quick description of what it is and how it works? Thanks, Bill
@@CreatexColors Cool, thanks, I am a Createx Guy, so I appreciate all the videos on how to use these products, and I appreciate your answering my question.
candy2o Poison Green would work well. Apply the fluorescent green over a white base. Definitely make a test panel to see the finish before using on an actual paintjob. Thank you.
I love that quicksilver. Its so nice to do straight out of the bottle jobs with a fantastic finish.
Thank you.
Great video Chris! Well explained! Thank you Chris and Createx😎👍
Great video as always. Love your presentation style

W357 and W358 Wicked QuickSilver and Gold Chrome, or the 4104 and 4105?
Quciksilver and Gold Chrome are now under the Wicked Colors line, W357 Quicksilver & W358 Gold Chrome, wickedairbrushcolors.com/pearl-and-metallic

Candy color is it applied to a glossy varnish or is it matte?
Most often, candy2o is top-coated with a gloss clear. Thank you.
That very last shot didn't do it justice. The shot, whilst still on the stand, should have been exploited more. Looks great.

Where can I purchase the little hoods?
