I'm aware candy 2o is a dye vs transparent paints being a fine pigment.... I'm not always clear on when to use one over the other though.
Perhaps that could be a video topic?

There are no rules of when to use candy2o (dye) versus a pigment-based color. Its a matter of technique. Best practice is to make a test panel to try various color combinations, techniques. Thank you.

Craig , Is createx solvent or water based? Can I spray it over automotive paint and if so do you recommend a non-gloss clear coat?

Createx paints are water-based. They may be applied over OEM automotive basecoat, both solvent-based and water-based. A 2k, solvent-based high gloss urethane clear is recommended for the top-coat.
