I saw him about 5 years ago in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He, his multiple guitars, a piano and a 'zillion' stories....along with this one! Didn't disappoint anyone there!
saw him in Warwick, Rhode Island in 1978 with his then-band Shenandoah. He was great as always. But I just learned he's been involved in a very bad cult run by some female guru who is now dead, sort of a mix of Hindu, Catholic and maybe Jewish beliefs with a lot of nonsense. I felt so bad for him, and, looks like his whole family is involved. I thought he knew better.
Bummer - it ended to soon. I saw Arlo in Pasadena CA back in the late 70s but he was with a band. Whenever he comes here, I think he has the family. I WOULD pay to see him alone with his stories and guitar.

He is a great story teller, and I could just sit on the living room and listening to him all day & enjoying his stories and his songs!!
A big part of folk music is story telling. Arlo is one of the greats.

Arlo is not touring any more. Age and strokes have slowed him down.
